We were referred to Universal Marble and Granite from 2 different people who had went out and got multiple, multiple quotes all over the NW OH region, and found that UMG was the cheapest by far. We live in Findlay, and made the trip up to look around and get some quotes and see what they had. After we left and got 5 quotes on 5 different slabs we did our due diligence and also still looked around and got quotes from two other companies. One company we unknowingly picked one the SAME slabs that we had chosen at UMG. UMG's quote was $3000 less than the other company. Sometimes you may pay a cheaper cost but lose the professionalism, customer service or just get a slapnut product. I can 100% say that is not the case with UMG, at least in the few weeks we have worked with them. They don't seem to be price gouging just because they can - in our experience they seem to be giving you a quality product for a honest and fair price! They were professional, respectful and helpful from viewing their showroom, deciding a few weeks later to order (without the pressure to order from them), the in home measurements, to installation. I would recommend everyone give UMC a chance to show you what they have available to see if it would be something that would work for your space!

We were very happy with our experience using Universal Marble and Granite. We had them install granite countertops in a bathroom about ten years ago and since our experience then was so positive, we chose them this year for our kitchen and half bath renovations. All the staff (Lindsay in the office, and Justin and Frank on-site for the install) were professional and helpful. The cost was lower than their competitors and the finished countertops are beautiful. Thanks UMG team!

One of the best experiences hands down! Installation was actually done ahead of schedule due to completing a prior job earlier than anticipated. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend UMG to anyone thinking about doing a remodel.

We cannot say enough good about our experience and the service we received from UMG. From the very start, they were awesome to work with. They are knowledgeable and worked extra hard to get us a certain look that we were trying to aim for during our kitchen remodel. From the sale through insulation, the UMG team was exceptional and I highly recommend them. All three of the countertops that we picked out for our bar, the pantry, and kitchen are beautiful. But, the kitchen is by far our favorite.

We've had our new granite kitchen counter tops for about 1 1/2 years now. Universal Marble & Granite (Perrysburg, OH) were wonderful to work with. We toured their warehouse trying to find something that my wife and I could agree upon. We found it and paid the deposit. Our contractor got our existing kitchen counters ready for them and Universals installers did a great job with the installation. On seam was slightly not quite flush and they came back to take care of it. They installed the new stainless steel split sink, which gave us a largerside to take care of larger items, which is what we had been wanting. Months later while cleaning the top of the granite counter top I was slightly catching my finger on some metal that was in the granite. They came out and fixed it with epoxy and smoothed it out. Not a piece of problem ever since. It is now time to reseal to counter tops and the sales department of Universal were kind enough to fully explain the procedure to me. I would highly recommend anyone go the Universal Marble & Granite if you are considering new countertops!

I love our countertops. They look amazing and the seams aren't noticeable to anyone who doesn't know they are there. I would have liked for a little better experience overall. When they came out for the template the guy had a level and was measuring everything. He even told me everything was good to go, level and measurements taken. When we were getting the countertops installed we had too big of gaps from the cabinets being unlevel. The installers had to remove the stone and come back at a different time. This cost us 200$ fee. Both times of them coming to install I asked for a call 30 minutes before and both times never recieved one. I also paid our remaining balance in cash on a Saturday when their finance group was out. I called Monday to verify and ask for an emailed receipt and the finance lady knew nothing about my payment. She was able to get it figured out but that made me feel really uneasy.

Excellent experience. Prompt scheduling. Professional installers. The fit is unbelievably perfect. Everything as planed. My cabinets were professionally installed and, were level. Still some shimming was required and performed. Granite requires extremely level surfaces. Not a problem for the installers. Neat and very efficient work. Highly recommended. Despite a pleasant showroom experience, this company dropped the ball on remainder. Took off work to wait for drop off of granite. Whole day nothing. NO CALL NO SHOW. I lost work for nothing! Because I called & complained, our top bar's speckled granite now had a long gray line in the granite The installers didn't speak English. They did a decent job & I use the gray line as a reminder to myself. However, I do NOT recommend

I had an unpleasant and frankly unexpected experience with this company, particularly its sales staff after they installed granite tops in my bathroom. I called to follow up on the surface being cloudy and almost looked like it hadn't been sealed properly. Part of the area was bumpy too, still is. The sales person yelled at me and was very disrespectful, arguing that it was my fault not workmanship (which comes with one year warranty). I sent him photos and never heard back. Nobody from the company followed up. I would not recommend doing business with this company, they don't provide a quality service that matches their pricing.

I must say I was not pleased with my experience. While I found the office staff pleasant and helpful. The installation experience was horrible. They touted their precise laser measuring which ended up being really off. So much so, that they ended up being a 1/4 of an inch off and having to cut into my dry wall to make it fit. One piece of my granite countertop was so imprecisely cut that it had to be redone. Perhaps what made me the most displeased, was that I was scheduled for installation of the countertop between 9 and 11 am. I made this appointment 2 weeks in advance. No one showed during that time. No phone call was made to me or my contractor...nothing. We sat waiting for close to 4 hours. It took me calling to find out that the truck had broke down and they were going to be late. No one showed until 130 pm. As mentioned a piece was wrong and needed to be redone. Again, it took me calling about it two business days later to 1) find out the status of the redo and 2) to schedule the replacement's installation. The staff also seemed like they weren't sure what I was talking about. The only reason this is getting a 2 star review and not 1 star is because the staff was courteous. Frankly I think this company is more focused on getting your money rather than providing good quality service for what you're paying.

I am very disappointed in my service. I built my house three years ago and all the quartz came from Universal Marble & Granite. The counter seam is no longer flush. When my builder reached out to them they indicated it was over the year warranty and over $1000 to come out and repair. The counter should not have had this issue when its only been three years. I would have expected better service.

The showroom manager is rude & unprofessional. The quality of the stones is sub-par. The place has a foul toxic odor that will make ones nose burn & eyes water. I would never step foot in this place ever again.
