We have hired this company (Taken for Granite and Marble) to install our master bathroom countertop. However, we are very disappointed with this company. This company cheated us and is the most dishonest company we have ever met.
The job was started on 3/17 and we paid in full amount on the same day as Jake (owner of the company) requested and promised to finish the remaining job later. But after almost 8 months, the job is still not finished. The open gaps between backsplash and wall are still there (see Fig. 1.1-1.2); The faucets mounting holes are still not drilled (see Fig. 2). The worst thing is that they used cracked and damaged a portion of granite for the left side top and backsplash (see Fig. 3.1-3.4 and Fig. 4.1-4.2). Their Sale Rep. Mr. David Pridemore confirmed that Jake is going to replace it (see Fig. 5). On 8/6, Daniel from Taken Granite and Marble told us that they will not replace the damaged portion because the sales representative David Pridemore is no longer with the company and what he said doesn't represent the company. We were totally surprised with his argument. We all know that a company’s sales representative does represent a company’s sales agreement! Davis's agreement is effective no matter whether he left the company or not. Daniel also said that he is going to discuss with Jake and let us know how Jake wants to solve this problem. However, no one from the company has contacted us since then. As of today, the problem is still unresolved.

Stay AWAY from this Company!
I ordered Quartz with the installation from this company, spoke several times with Sales person Alexis and TJ and send a picture what exactly I want to be addressed on the backsplash design with my order.
I was extremely specific about this design. Process of measurement and 50% deposit completed till Delivery time nightmare! NO one contact me prior cutting to review and get approval FOR acceptance what they design before cutting Backsplash piece! When I notice what I got I refused to accept this backsplash piece and told the installers to take it back because I didn’t order this way (see pictures) The installers ware so unpleasant and tolled me that they will leave this “as is “and on the top of that they going to leave 42”x120” island slab by the front door without installation their Boss Damian told them to do it this way. After I advised them about big Hazard around my home and Company Liability they back up. I had several phone calls with Damian S from Taken from Granit and Marble company negotiating to finalized this project. Damian agreed to correct his employees mistake only if I will Pay him additional $900 or he is not going to do anything to complete this order the way it supposed to be! Deposit $2600 not refundable. After I made additional payment Damian invite me to approve new backsplash Design! Be Aware … Very unprofessional and unethical business practices.

This company was excellent! TJ was very good at getting back to people and answering questions. He went out of his way multiple times and gave good advice. He was there through the while process. The installers, Mike and Richard were good people. They let you know everything they were doing. Call this company and ask for TJ to give you an estimate.

Chris and Tony just finished installing granite tops on my outdoor bar and I am very pleased! They were professional and detail oriented.
I was not pleased with the sales pricing from Damian. I heard one price point over the phone that included everything and then I was quoted extra costs for cutting around a column and cutting out a fire tray. I ended up paying significantly more than the original all inclusive price which feels like a bait and switch. Frustrating...
I was in hurry and they offered to get my job done on my schedule which was great but I would recommend getting multiple quotes to avoid any confusion and be price competitive. Either way, my counters are in, look great and just in time for my daughters birthday party.
The install crew was awesome! Thank you Chris and Tony!

This company was amazing from start to finish. From the day we pulled into their granite yard on US41 to the completed installation., they were professional, thorough and very good at their job. Our cabinet installer missed a slight measurement and they were able to adjust and fix the issue. Matt, Jacob, Francis, and Joey made up the installation team and they were amazing. They even did the job a few days early so we could have before Thanksgiving. I will recommend them to everyone!! Thank you Taken for Granite!!!!!

Do NOT use this company. They are unreliable, don't return texts or calls and don't follow up when there is a warranty for services rendered. I have been trying for over 2 months to have my granite sealer (which by the way is a scam for extra money) either redone or refunded. John scheduled an appointment then stood me up and didn't even bother to contact me. He's had every excuse in the book to NOT fulfill my warranty with the company. BEWARE! They are a shady business!!

It does not necessarily indicate a low level of service — it simply means that we didn’t receive a response within the research timeframe.
To get up-to-date information, we recommend contacting the company directly through our website — submit a request, call, or message them to receive a personalized quote and clarify current pricing.
Does Taken for Granite and Marble offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Taken for Granite and Marble performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Taken for Granite and Marble provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Taken for Granite and Marble, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Taken for Granite and Marble in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
