I am a Real Estate agent and as such I have dealt with many kitchen & bathroom rehabs, remodels and makeovers and I had used Stone Depot a couple of times in the past under the former owner. This was my first time dealing with Jan, the new owner of Stone Depot & More, on such a project and I will definitely use them in the future. They installed Quartz counter tops and white Shaker cabinets in a 1 bedroom condo. The Sellers of the condo were very pleased as they netted approximately $20k more in the sale than if they had Sold it as-is. The Buyer of the condo was also very happy with the finished product as she moved into her "New" condo. Jan & her crew were very professional & courteous. Jan was very helpful with helping to choose the right materials for the job as the owner was out of State and relied on me to make the right choices. Stone Depot & More offers a wide selection of counter tops, cabinets and flooring and they will even search their vast resources if there is something specific you need. In my experience I haven't found better pricing on materials and the labor costs are very competitive. Overall I highly recommend Stone Depot & More for all your kitchen and bathroom projects no matter how large or how small.

My bathroom had been mostly remodeled in March, except for the countertop. I wanted to find granite for the vanity top that was different, but in the brown/gray/beige range. Stone Depot had a perfect slab, a great price and super service. Since they are a busy shop, I had to wait a few weeks for the work to start, but once it did, the work was done in a few days. Manager Jan was easy to communicate and work with, and Walter, the installer, was amazing. Completely finished in just a couple of days. I had time to repaint the inside of the vanity in the meantime, and the bath looks fabulous now. No problems or surprises, which is a situation devoutly to be wished for in the construction trades.

We just completed a kitchen remodel by the company. 5+ stars for Jan (the owner). She was a big help on material selections, cabinet and countertop design. Very responsive to emails and phone calls. 4 stars for the cabinet and countertop installers. The work itself is excellent. However, the work completion schedule is less than ideal. The cabinet installer only worked on this project 4-5 hours a day. The granite countertop installer only worked on weekends for this project. I highly recommend Jan.

Earlier this year a slab leak turned into a major remodeling project. Thank God for Jan Nickolai-Knox the owner of this remarkable company! This quickly became an insurance claim nightmare. Adjusters findings were riff with errors and ommissions, but Jan would have none of it. She took the burden off my shoulders, detailed their wrong conclusions multiple times and stayed with it until a proper settlement was reached. In addition, her design suggestion were wonderful and she saw to it that all of my 'wants' were were included in the final product. I walked into Stone and Cabinet Depot just to see what they had for a counter top for my bathroom and I only needed a small remnant not a huge slab. I met Jan and she was so helpful and knowledgeable. Jan at Stone Depot was beyond helpful with all of my needs on my recent project. Not only did she help me find the travertine tile that I needed for my kitchen floor, she also helped me find someone to do the installation, guided me in selecting the right color tile to match the tiles already in my kitchen and was helpful through every step of the process whenever I called with any questions. Jan was always willing to help in any way that she could. Furthermore, the prices were excellent, and she worked with me on shipping to make sure that I got my tiles as quickly as possible. Stone Depot recently replaced our kitchen cabinets and countertops. Jan was very helpful with the planning and had many thoughtful ideas to increase our storage areas. She offered an excellent price that included Sollid cabinets and quartz countertops. Wes and Walter were very careful during the demo and install and they did a great job. I love the deep drawers because they make everything easier to reach. I'm getting many compliments on my new kitchen and most of it is due to Jan's great ideas.

We recently completed a bathroom remodel and we love it! A big thank you to Jan for her advice on materials and for coordinating the installation schedule. She also responded to emails and calls in a timely manner. We enjoyed working with Wes! He did an excellent job on demo, shower prep, cabinet and fixture installation. He even provided a better bracket for the mirror installation than the ones included with the mirror. Dave, the tile craftsman, was outstanding! He took the time to ask our opinion before installing the tile and the shower floating seat. Jose, the fabricator, did a beautiful job on our Quartz Countertop. Lastly, Chi Chi and his floor installation team did a great job installing our vinyl floor planks and baseboards. Besides looking good, it's so easy to clean! We're so happy with our new bathroom!

We decided to use Stone & Cabinet Depot based on the good yelp ratings, and they did not disappoint. The process was very smooth and Jan was very helpful throughout the entire process. The field crew was great and easy to work with as well. We were able to barely make a single slab work for our kitchen layout, and they were still able to work the slab so that the seams were barely noticeable. We couldn't be happier with the finished product.

I am new in town and purchased an older home. I knew I had to remodel the bathrooms and laundry room. I checked around and found out that it would take weeks at a very expensive price to get the cabinets and counter tops I wanted. Well, Jan solved all my problems and everything was purchased for an excellent price and installed quickly. I couldn't be more pleased with Jan and the installation of my cabinets and countertops. Jan addressed my needs and always responded quickly to any question I may of had. Her experience helped me from making a couple of mistakes. She knows the business well. I shopped around for price and quality in cabinets - went from beautiful showrooms, big box, kitchen remodeling companies... and based on quality and price went with Jan. My cabinets are gorgeous, her installer did a fantastic job and I even gave him the garage door opener as I was in and out of town so he could come and go and was completely trustworthy. I did have my own tile guy install the backsplash but he commented on how well the countertop was installed (by Jan's guy) as sometimes they run into problems. Jan gave me good places to look for my countertop and, of course, I found the perfect one but the stock everywhere was low and she was able to find it for me. Could not be happier.

Don't let the location fool you! Stone Depot doesn't have a ritzy showroom that can be seen from the street and it's a bit tricky to find being tucked away in an industrial area. Just be persistent because your persistence will pay off. The countertop in my remodeled bathroom is perfect! Jan was by far the most attentive of all of the vendors I shopped during my project. She gets an A+ for communication. We were always on the same page. The slab I picked out was discontinued, but Jan worked her magic and found one! Her team of fabricators were punctual and did outstanding work. The pictures speak for themselves.

We waited six months to write this review and and are happy to say we love our new kitchen more and more. What started out as a need for new countertops in our 65 year old kitchen turned into a "down to the studs" project to replace termite eaten wood and upgrade ancient plumbing and electrical to bring everything up to code... unexpectedly!! Jan gave us a very reasonable price to 'do the whole thing', spending a lot of time designing workable solutions in our small space. Wes was remarkable as we discovered more and more things that really needed to be done in preparation for the 'normal' cabinet installation. We were so impressed with his desire and ability to do quality work in difficult conditions. Walter installed our stone countertops with full backsplash all by himself, which was amazing! The project was done at the peak of COVID and everyone took care to do it safely. We think very highly of Jan and her team and highly recommend them.

Stone Depot did a great job on our recent kitchen remodel (May 2021). They demo'ed old granite tile squares, patched the drywall (damaged pulling off the backsplash), laid down new plywood and then installed beautiful granite (White Springs) slabs on center island and counters around perimeter of the kitchen. Owner Jan and installer Walter were great to work with. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Don't let you get fooled by the lack of a fancy showroom, or lack of a fancy office full of sales people! We recently bought a house, and we wanted to get rid of all the carpet and tiles, and put luxury vinyl in all the floor. We also wanted to change the old kitchen countertop to quartz. We shopped around more than half a dozen places, and we are so happy that we ended up choosing Stone Depot for our home renovations! Jan and her team were very helpful, detailed, and skilled. The materials used were very high quality, and her team accommodated to our short time constraints, even working on a bank holiday, so it could be finished before we moved! They actually took less time than estimated. And from all the people who came give us an estimate at the house, I believe that Chichi was the only one who arrived on time! The other day we found that in the guest room one of the vinyl planks moved slightly, and after telling her, the next day someone already showed up and fixed it in a breeze! Definitely will visit her again for when we decide to renovate our bathrooms. Also, we are new around the area and she also helped us find a good plumber, we really appreciated that too! We totally recommend this place.

We were novelists, as this was our first time doing any kind of renovation to our home, so nervous would be an understatement. However, Jan and her team, did a great job of taking care of everything. Walter handled demo day like a true professional and Walter and his team-mate ... Sorry we didn't get his name, did a great job installing new countertops for both locations in our home. Even when we hit a snag with something that needed to be fixed after installation, Jan and Walter got things worked out and we were back to normal in no time. World class service and product! These folks are true experts in their line of work, and professionals that are very difficult to find these days. Even with a couple of hurdles throughout our counter top replacement project, there were always options provided that made it easy to keep moving forward. Jan did a phenomenal job planning our project and worked directly with granite suppliers to make it a seamless process all around. Walter knows everything you will ever need to know about granite, and is incredibly humble and pleasant to work with. Worked with Jan on a custom quartz vanity top. She was very helpful helping us select and then find the style we wanted. Even called around the state to find where there was stock when there was none locally. Very friendly and responsive via phone and email. Installer was right on schedule for the measurement and installation. Install was perfect and we couldn't be happier with the final result! Original estimate was reasonable and accurate as well! My husband and I wanted to demo and replace 3 of our bathroom vanity tops. I knew it was a relatively small job so I wasn't sure if this would be the right fit. Jan and her team were SO wonderful to work with. I dropped in without an appointment and she walked me through the remnant yard to find material that would work; they even had sinks they were able to under mount for us. When the original quote came back, it was slightly outside of our budget and, once again, Jan worked with us to make the project affordable. We love our new kitchen, Jan was wonderful to work with and her crew Walter, Nick, Jason and Wes, the best I have used and I've done a lot of remodeling. They really take care of their customers, Jan came out to our house twice, once to measure and once to check out the work, there was one door that was warped and it was replaced no questions asked. Jan has the best granite guy in town (Walter), he matched up all the veins in the granite, I have never seen work like that. Quality workmanship and fair pricing.

If you're in need of counter tops, go see Jan at Stone Depot! Prior to visiting Stone Depot, I had read the great reviews on line. When I went in, Jan greeted me. She's friendly and spent time with me, helping me narrow down our choices. One aspect of our project didn't go as we expected and Jan was able to resolve everything. That's the key point here. It's EASY to make a customer happy when everything goes smoothly. But if a problem arises, that's when true customer service skills really matter. Jan took care of everything and we are planning to go there for our next project! I must say that Walter was great to work with too!

Sorry for the late review Peter, My wife and I purchased travertine pavers (13 pallets), a Blue Bahia granite counter top and backsplash, stone textured tiling for the shower room floor, and Italian tile for the remainder of the bathroom flooring and walls from Peter for our backyard project. Initially going there we were unsure what we were looking for, had an idea but still not quite sure. Peter asked for a description of what our project was to look like and what type of theme we were going with. From that point it was easier to see what was needed to achieve the end result we were looking for. Peter had several ideas of colors, patterns and designs for the type of pavers and materials needed and their layout to bring out the best in our backyard. As busy as he was, Peter was always willing and ready to meet the demands of the customer. Open minded, easy to work with and great advice. It was a pleasure working with Peter and we would without a doubt welcome any additional opportunity to work with him again for any future projects that we undertake. What started as a desire to spruce up a vacation spot turned into a desperate need for a renovation to sell due to a job relocation. We had a tight deadline of two weeks and Pete MADE IT HAPPEN. I had to replace a broken granite countertop that wasw 15 years old. It had to match the rest of the granite in other parts of the kitchen. I was told by one of the contractors who came to see it, that it was no longer available. Searching the internet I found Stone & Cabinet Depot in San Marcos. Miracle of miracles...they had my granite! I took and look and ordered it. The men came out fully ready to fabricate it with a truck full of stone and machinery, on my driveway. They were very professional. The result was a very close match of the granite, and a sturdy, carefully fitted result. They cleaned up afterward. Some months later I had a pain-in-the-neck small project that would have to be in done inside the kitchen. They promptly sent someone. Walter did a splendid and careful job. It was exactly what I needed. I am so glad I discovered them.

He is a fast talker and his guys are fast workers. Came in, cut to size the granite and installed it righ there and then. Great prices on all the product and installation. Can't beat him.

Its kind of a long story, so I will give the cliff note version. We bought a Ryland Home in San Elijo Hills and they used an inferior product (e-stone) on all the standard counter tops in all the bathrooms. E-stone is marble dust and resin. Being mostly marble everything etches it, toothpaste, anything acid or base, even Windex. So why did Ryland use it? It was cheap. We complained to Ryland (now Cal Atlantic Homes) and all they would do is re-polish the surface once during the one year home warranty. So, our options were go legal and probably loose as Ryland has better lawyers or suck-it-up and replace the counter in all four bathrooms. So, we consulted Yelp and found Stone Depot and got a bid from John for not only replacing the counter tops in 3 of the 4 bathrooms, but adding ledge stone to the master bath that matched the existing tile. We had to work closely with the installers as we removed the hideous counter cabinets Ryland built in the master bath and all the mirrors and replaced them with custom mirrors that had to be install over the ledge stone--not a standard install. The long and short of it was Stone Depot did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. The installers were knowledgeable and very helpful and now we have bathrooms that are not only serviceable, but they are a major WOW factor in our home. Thanks Stone Depot.

I cannot say enough good things about Stone Depot. John and Peter were nice, friendly, good-humored and patient. We bought a house in terrible shape here in San Marcos and completely renovateded everything. Unfortunately, since it was a total overhaul our kitchen budget was tight and WAY under the "5-10% of the homes' value" we were being quoted at other places. Unable to drop a full year's salary on a kitchen, we read good reviews about Stone Depot. I didn't expect miracles, as the big box places had thoroughly stomped out my enthusiasm. HOWEVER, I was extremely surprised by Stone Depot. Not to sound cheesy, but they delivered me EVERYTHING I wanted, plus cool bonuses, all within budget. The price came in right at budget even after tax. It included 20+ pieces of cabinets (inc'l 2 full pantry cabinets, spice drawer, lazy Suzan cabinet, trash cabinet and wine rack), countertops, a undermount sink, and an awesome swan-neck faucet. The only thing in the kitchen NOT from stone depot was the appliances (though I'm sure Peter and John know a guy) :-) Every little hiccup or bump in the road was handled by John, and handled very professionally and super fast . The communication was great, timeline was extra speedy, and ALL of their installers were courteous and nice. I love my kitchen and wanted to thank everyone at Stone Depot a million times over. I have recommended them to anyone who would listen, and will continue to do so.

My wife and I were shopping for a countertop for a wet bar in our house and checked out two stores with great reviews. The first one never responded to me. I sent them a sketch online and was supposed to get a quote in 24-hours and never heard back. We went to Stone Depot and met with Peter. He showed us everything he had in all price ranges including the remnants. We were able to find exactly what we needed. As promised, Mike, the installer was out at our house by the next week. In less than two hours, he had everything installed and it looked fantastic. I would highly recommend using Stone Depot. You will get great service, good prices and fast service.

I have been meaning to write a review for years now. I went into Stone Depot (before they had cabinets) to get travertine for our very large remodel. We bought well over 1400 sq ft of natural stone for flooring and bathrooms. The quality and colors were consistent and beautiful - my favorite were the Scabo accents. Peter the owner always made sure what we received was matching the original colors - if something came in that was questionable - he would take a sample and color match it. For me, spending a little extra time waiting for the perfect material was well worth it, Victor installed all the granite in our home he is fabulous- and our home is truly beautiful. Our first rental property that needed a major overhaul - I went straight in to see Peter and Sean, this time for flooring and cabinets. We installed a beautiful wood patterned ceramic plank floor, what a great option for a rental house- it's stunning. This time we added an entire kitchen with cabinets and granite counters, Victor made me a beautiful curved edge on an overhang of granite. Their cabinets are really quality, solid woods with current designs, deep drawers - and granite selections are really beautiful. The cabinets are as close as I've seen to my custom cabinets in my own home. These guys are not only a nice as they come but really care about the end results! So grateful we found these guys! I wandered into Stone Depot while pricing cabinets and having only recently been to the big box stores, I was surprised at the cost difference. It was essentially half. Let me just say this made me worry that it was too good to be true. Not the case at all. Sean did a quick estimate and stuck to it. Their lead time was short and their materials are good. Bottom line: you will save money with these guys. PERIOD. Their installers were great and know their trade. I just can't see why you would want to spend 45% more on the same cabinets somewhere else. Sean always made sure we were getting what we need. He personally measured our kitchen space and showed up during construction to see how things were progressing. We did our own demo to save money, and ended up with a fabulous kitchen at a fantastic price. Go with this company, you won't regret it.
