We purchased new countertops from State Stone Work for the galley and heads on our yacht. Emad and Wasim did a great job. They were very accommodating by allowing us to split the job into two different install days. Overall they were great to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

If you are looking for 100% satisfaction, quality, and efficient timing do not waste your time looking any further. State Stone provided a fair price estimate, design, and installation with complete professional service. Emad made the estimate and designed the cuts on site in less than an hour. Three days later his installers came and the project was done in 2 1/2 hours—less than 4 hours total in our home. I highly recommend State Stone. We had two estimates that came in a bit lower but each told us our kitchen would be torn apart for two days. Emad promised expedient work and he delivered. We provided our own prep work by taking out the plumbing and cooking appliances Thursday evening and by Friday noon counter-tops were installed and everything was ready for re-connecting—that's less than a 24 hour turn-around! Don't waste your time, call them today!

I would not hesitate to recommend State Stone Works, they are the best around!! I was referred to them by Mission Restoration. They removed the original granite, which was not an easy task, and installed new quartz countertops in our kitchen on our existing cabinets. I was worried about damage to the cabinet during the demolition, but Sam was excellent! There was not a scratch on them. Emad is very professional and easy to work with. He was able to deal with unforeseen delays on our end, holding the stone longer than expected. Pricing was definitely the lowest and we looked at many different places. Sam also did the installation in one day, was very detail oriented and addressed all my questions regarding the installation. They did have one issue that came up during install which would have required a seam on the backsplash that was not in the original plan, however Emad, without hesitation, immediately delivered a new piece of quartz in order to avoid the seam. He said from the beginning that customer satisfaction is his main goal, and he definitely proved that to be true. I cannot say enough good things about Emad and State Stone Works. They truly want their customers to be totally happy and they do an outstanding job. They are true professionals at what they do!

I recently built an outdoor BBQ island. An important part of the build was finding the right countertop and fabricator to perform the install. I reached out to three fabricators, and they came out and took measurements of the island using a normal tape measure. But, when I received their quote for the job, I was taken aback on the countertop installation. It was much more than what I initially budgeted for. Then one day, I was at my neighbor’s house and notice he recently built an outdoor BBQ island with a quartzite countertop. The quality of the work was really good, and I asked my neighbor for the fabricator’s name and contact information. He told me to contact Emad at State Stone Work Inc. as he is the best person to work with and has fair prices. I called Emad and he quickly came out to my house. The way he approached the job was so different than the other fabricators. Emad took the time to measure the countertop by using a laser measuring device that displayed the distance between two points. Emad took the time to share this information with me. He also suggested different types of materials to choose for my countertop. In addition, he suggested where to buy my countertop and the best person to talk to at the stone shop. We went to the stone shop and told Emad which countertop we wanted. With that information, Emad was able to provide us a quote that was within our budget. A couple of weeks later, Emad called me to tell me that countertops were ready for installation. During the install, Emad was present to ensure that everything went well. In the end, we are very pleased with the quality of the work and services that Emad and his team provided us. I would use him again and I highly recommend Emad for any type of countertop work.

Emad is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and honest. We received a thorough education on material options, and their pros and cons. He guided us through correcting cabinet installation issues and quickly returned to create a second template when we were done. He came in on time and on budget even though we had to make some adjustments from the original plan. We felt like we were in good hands from beginning to end. The State StoneWorks crew is prompt, efficient, friendly, professional, and left the kitchen cleaner than when they arrived. Sam has a great sense of humor and made the whole installation process educational and entertaining. Emad and his team were wonderful. I just had my kitchen countertops done for my home and the work was impeccable. I called them after a few places gave me the run-around and delays of up to 3-6 weeks for installation. With State Stone Work, I got a free estimate within the same week as my call and they were very detailed and even noted some errors made by my cabinet guy. Then I had an issue of my kitchen needing one and a half slab of quartz. Usually we would have to buy two slabs, but Emad worked with us and told us that we can choose from his available inventory and he found us a half slab to decrease our cost. His team was very professional and took me through their workshop to show me their inventory, cutting machine and process. After selecting the quartz slab, Emad immediately assisted with the contract and scheduled a date one week later for installation. The workers came right on time. Emad was responsive and the work was immaculate, the workers were polite and the installation took just under 2 hours. I love my kitchen now. This has been the smoothest process of my remodel!

We recently had our kitchen counter replaced. Emad Dawood came out and using state-of-the-art electronic equipment, did the measurements. On the day of the install, the installers arrived right on time and were done in less than two hours. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and very caring about any concerns we might have. We went to several stone slab yards in Miramar, Morena, and El Cajon. Emad Dawood, the president of State Stone Works, convinced us immediately that he was who we wanted to install our kitchen countertops. He patiently explained the differences in quartz, quartzite, granite, and marble, then looked at our rough sketch, gave us an estimate for the cost, and said he could do it within 7 days. He then took us on a tour of his workshop. That was the clincher. He has the latest technology, computerized laser cutting equipment that is amazing. His outstanding crew completed our kitchen, including demo, installation, and cleanup, in less than six hours. The results are stunning! Mr. Dawood had said we absolutely wouldn't be disappointed with his work, and we most certainly agree -- he is the best. But what would you expect from someone who used to be a nuclear engineer? If you are lucky enough to talk a little bit with Emad about his life, you will discover an amazing man with an incredible life story. Thanks, Emad. We love the new countertops.

Emad and his brother were top class installers and businessmen. I've had some bad experiences during my remodel, but Emad and Hassan were a class act; a breath of fresh air. Nothing was too much. I needed help with my sink after a bad plumber couldn't install it properly. Emad didn't have the time, and I knew that, but his service truly goes above and beyond. He fixed what the bad plumber did. They were one of four that Arizona Tile recommended and Emad came in with the cheapest bid, fastest turn around, and most polite service. He was a dream to work with as was his brother. Our countertops were beautiful. NOT A SINGLE ISSUE. Nothing was too much, and I truly felt that they weren't out to get in and out as quick as possible, or make a quick buck, but were there to do an outstanding job. And they did. Their reputation and family name means everything to them. I could not recommend them highly enough and wouldn't even think of going anywhere else. They've got my business for life. Truly thankful that there are companies like this out there. It restored my faith a little in tradesmen. I hope to find many more businesses like State Stone before my remodel is done.

Emad assisted my husband and I in selecting a beautiful piece of granite. We picked out the one we wanted, then 5 minutes later changed our mind when I saw another piece I fell in love with -- State Stone Works had our granite ready to install - all 7' of it (bathroom countertop) and the 4" backsplash in just a few days. It was ready so quickly I had to ask Emad if we could put it off until yesterday so I could complete the painting in that room. Emad is a lovely person - he has infinite patience with clients and he is always kind and accommodating. What a delight - a contractor who is proactive, returns phone calls and gets the job done quickly. Their selection of stone and styles is amazing. Wait until you go into the office and see the stairs which are each done in different pieces of stone, different edge styles and configurations. I could have spent the day there just drooling over those stairs. Thank you Emad for the fabulously professional customer service, great installers and your many kindnesses as Joe and I picked out our countertops. This is an update on my last review. After having the countertops for a little over 8 months, I have found that they chip on the edges pretty easily. Not happy at all about that. When I called to have them come fix the fairly large chip by smoothing it out, no one ever came out after speaking to the owner Emad. I spent $10k on those countertops. They also leave water stains unless you wipe the water off completely each and every time. I had purchased a small dishsoap and sponge holder to keep on near my faucet on the countertops to protect it from water damage from the bottles. After removing it to clean under it, I noticed in certain light the etching into the quartz leaving a perfect rectangular shape I could not get off even with quartz polishing cleaner. So disappointed. Should have stayed with granite like I had before. Never a problem.

We were ready to order our stone, but had to correct the contract since it did not reflect what was discussed and agreed upon in their store (we provided pictures and drawings). All of a sudden the price was upped 25% due to a small change in the meiter size - which again was clearly communicated upfront. We thought that this was just a small misunderstanding and hoped to resolve the issue. But then the owner called me and was outright disrespectful. Instead of having a civil discussion and trying to find a solution I was scolded. As a business owner myself I cannot image ever treating a customer like I was treated today.
