Our contractor recommended buying our materials for our renovation from here but we really regret it. We ordered 3 x marble slabs which we selected but received different ones. Our invoice said one size and what the fabricator received was different but they said it was too late to change. We also unknowingly overpaid for Bedrosian tiles when we could have bought them direct from down the street. I would avoid buying from here.

I regretfully write this review, but feel my experience needs to be shared as a warning to others. I am a DYI person and not a contractor and had bought some Silver Travertine for my kitchen a while back on what is dubbed Tile Mile and stumbled on State College Distributors. So when I started shopping for flooring and kitchen revamp projects for this year, I started at State College Distributors. I found all their staff very helpful and kind, that is one reason I regret that I have to write this and also good quality product at a good price. I dealt with Pilo on my flooring and bought some beautiful Travertine. We decided we would also look for countertops for the kitchen to match the Silver Travertine we put in previously since I was also replacing all my cabinets. We dealt with Walter C., again a nice guy and helpful, we thought we found a quartz product through SCD and placed a deposit that SDC was required. We changed our minds on that quartz product and then stumbled on one slab yard and did as instructed, inform that yard we were working with Walter with SDC. We found a beautiful, stunning marble slab that we decided to use as backsplash and go with wood counter tops. It cost a bit more, but it was the perfect touch I was looking for. There was a vein pattern I wanted as the focal point of my kitchen above my range (stove) and since we went to backsplash, we had the extra square footage to make a 48 inch bathroom countertop. I measured everything out and based on the square footage it was doable- I am talking about a $4500 slab, so really didn't want that much waste. They sent out someone to take measurements and then I went over and they tried to do a tape layout (?) (pictured). I expressed that I thought they would do layout like we had seen at that slab yard as people's interior decorators were doing that on other slabs. So they sent Walter #2 out and he did the layouts and we discussed how it should be cut again since my sink was not center on my window and he advised we go with 3 pieces (2 cut for under the cabinets and one cut for behind the sink) and he would do his best to match patterns for the flow. I will admit I had about a 2 month delay due to a solar project and a complication during final inspection so I had to delay the marble install. When I was ready to move forward they couldn't find the layout and sent another guy out. He took his layout and I then went to the yard where it would be machined. Long and short, they didn't follow the layouts and screwed up the main focal cut. They also did 2 pieces on the sink & cabinet side that was neither center on the window or sink (???). SDC had 2 things to do- one was to cut the stone to dimension and the other was installation. Things were 1/2 installed when they crew realized the bad cut on the main piece and assured me they could fix it and it wouldn't be noticeable. Note I love my kitchen and the overall look, but what occurred should not be acceptable as professional work. Once it was all installed, they did a good job on matching and fixing the bad cut, but it should not have happened in the 1st place. Then I noticed the seam behind the sink since it also had a flaw in the cut. This leads me to believe they do not have Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines as their manufacturing method that automates the control, movement and precision of the cutting machine. They had a CNC shop across from them for years and I used the words "machined" when dealing with Walter #1 in which he assured me it was being sent to machine shop for cutting. All in all I was very disappointed with their workmanship of the slab and would not recommend them in this regard because at the end of it all the stone was not professionally cut and that is what their #1 job was to do. Due to this I also ended up with a useless portion of stone that couldn't be used for the bathroom counter top and based on the price per square foot was about a $1,100 loss. I wish I did not have to write this, but it needs to be shared!

I love going to state college distributors because they have everything! It’s a one stop shop where you can get flooring, tile, countertops, they have access to every single distributor! The whole process is easy and the staff, shout out to Josh Gonzales, are great!! I have a sense of loyalty to SCD and will be a lifetime customer!! I truly can’t say enough. *Here’s a little tip when shopping for materials- if you go to say Bedrosians or another tile store and find tile you really like, you can get quote from them and then ask State College Distributors to price match and/or maybe they can give you a better deal bc of how much volume they do with that company!

There is only one place to buy tile and it is State College distributors. The staff is very informed and very educated about the product and the selection is unmatched. There are many tile places in the area but none is greatest this place. Ask for Randy. If hes available you will not find a more knowledgeable, kind, patient and efficient person to help you with any and all your needs. I can't thank this group enough for all the effort. Check out the photos I just posted and look at the incredible shiny white tile in the perfect cuts

I've been looking around the state college stores and other home improvement stores to select the flooring. Finally found The State College Distributors. They has largest selection for floor tile and engineering wood floor. The sales are helpful, and easy to get the sample. I also had a great experience with store installation crew to install the engineering wood floor. The workers are polite, dedicate and working quietly. Absolutely recommend State College Distributors to anyone who are looking for a good tile and wood flooring store!

So I have frequented many slab yards and as far as customer service a shout out to George, Jeffery and Jose who work as a team effortlessly. THIS is what sets them apart from any other yard .. we put a deposit down on (2) slabs of Taj not knowing anything more than they would be delivered in 3 weeks. When they arrived I inspected the most beautiful pieces that I have ever seen .... They also have everything from Italian mosaic backsplash tiles to hi quality hardware and sinks .... I highly recommend doing business with them.

Randy gave us a few great ideas regarding design and practicality while never being pushy about anything. The whole remodel went very smooth and we would definitely work with them again. State college distributors made my dreams come true! I am back I am back purchasing wood floors from the store, because I know the quality is exceptional, and they have not only a large variety of options, but also great advice that they provide to their customers. My first project a few months ago, was for my two bathrooms. I had searched stone in various places, when someone recommended this, I was happy to see how many options in grade display they had. Once I saw the stone for one of my bathrooms, blue color, I just knew this was the store where I was going to purchase everything. See picture attached. Efrain is a great advisor who not only was always available for phone calls to verify square footage and options, or delivery time, or coordinate with my contractors, but also offered choices that were better quality and or value when needed. I really appreciate that.

I was fortunate to have Jonathan as my sales representative. Johnathan went above and beyond assisting me getting one of their rare tiles. He followed up with me each step of the process, providing timelines, he was able to get me a fantastic deal on the tile I selected. I only met Jonathan once and the rest of our dealings was via phone, however, a couple of months later I visited SCD and I was shocked that Jonathan knew who I was and greeted me by my name! Jonathan's friendly yet professional demeanor was a breath of fresh air. What I appreciated most about Jonathan is that although he is knowledgeable about most of the product at SCD, if he did not know something he would say so but follow-up with you when he got the information, and yes, he really does follow up with you! In my opinion SCD has the best variety of high quality tiles at a very reasonable price and their serves representatives are highly qualified and professional. If you looking for unique tiles at a reasonable cost and professional service Stay College Distributors is the place for you! And if you want outstanding service, ask for Johnathan Ramirez.

This was my 2nd time purchasing from SCD and I was looking for flooring options; my first time was to remodel my bathrooms and George gave me much needed, valuable assistance in designing and selecting various products & I am still very happy with them. This time, Effrain explained all flooring options and promptly collected all the data I needed so I was able to purchase products that offered the best value in a short time. Products I selected are readily available so no delays in construction. Highly recommend SCD for all remodeling needs!

Ok, I ve been coming here for years and love how helpful the staff is. This place is the bomb. Today I stopped by rmto order matching fireplace stone that I purchased back in 2019. Rebekah who assist George was absolutely a saint. She went above and beyond to ensure that I was ordering the exact matching stone. I love this place and the great people that work hard to help customers fulfill their dreams. Rebekah, you are greatly appreciated!

We worked with Ivan - absolutely the best customer experience I have had anywhere. We had selected 5 or so tiles for 2 full bathroom remodels. We did not consult or explain the application with Ivan. I was unbelievably surprised by what started as a "text me the picture of the tile you saw here" (for newbies this place is COLOSSAL - the choice is amazing without being overwhelming) became an ongoing text exchange where he checked back in with us on the status of our project, helped with datapoints needed between myself, Ivan and contractor - pricing easy, payment easy...and then when it came to install, my tiler pointed out porcelain tile (we had picked which was originally going to flow entirely into a shower without a dam, but ended up going with a shower dam) edging was going to show...I said "leave it with me". I texted Ivan and he was ON IT! Luckily our choice had bullnose and within 1hour what was looking to be a crisis was entirely resolved. Thank you Ivan! So many customer facing people (aren't we all) could learn a thing or two from Ivan. Above and beyond? Yes...I would say he did go above and beyond, he even was texting me on his day off - Ivan, don't get into that habit :) Jon and I are so grateful for your help mate! Oh and the tile selection is great! You'll not regret it.

In need of any type of flooring, counters or other products, this is the place to go. Product selection is vast so allow plenty time to look around. All of the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful - so that will reduce your stress level. I go with my clients to help with their material selections. Personally, they supplied the materials for my whole house remodel. From flooring to tiles and counters, and carpets. Very easy to find and select what you may want, but so many choices plan on a few visits; oh and prices are great.

A big shout out to Jeff Solis and Efrain Melgar for supplying me with their store-branded hard surface cleaner--a great product for cleaning wood, stone and tile and other hard surfaces. Environmentally safe and smells great. Thanks guys! If you haven't shopped there, State College Distributors has a terrific selection, fair prices and knowledgeable and helpful employees. I purchased French oak flooring from them and it's just what I wanted for our home. Julia B.
