Marco did such a great job on the wall covering of the fireplace in the living room and on both showers. He is very professional and meticulous with his work. I really love the walk in master bathroom shower. Marco built to my specific detail on it being accessible for older persons and it being luxurious. The shower stall has a convenient bench, grab bar, sliding hand held, and a 3 way water system with rain shower overhead/normal front spray/sliding handheld to choose from. The shower also has a fancy lighting and sound/music system. The tile and glass doors in both bathroom showers look great and classy. Marco gets my endorsement for excellence and I have already recommended him to some friends of mine. Great job Marco.

I have used SD Rocktops for 3 projects over the past 2 years, kitchens, as well as bathrooms, all of which included tile work as well as granite countertops and back splashes. I have found them to be professional, reliable and they do good quality work. Their pricing is also competitive. I have also found that whenever there were issues they have returned to attend to them. I have no problem recommending SD Rocktops and in fact have done so to several neighbors and family friends.

I am very happy with my new quartzite counter tops. Marco gave me a great estimate and told me he could do my counters without any seams which is what I really wanted. Leo and Luis came out to install the quartzite, and did a great job. They were both very friendly and personable. They cleaned up after themselves and only wanted to do everything to please me. There was a mark left on one of tops, and Marco came out and fixed it in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them and not hesitate to use them again!

I highly recommend this company! Their prices were very good! They were professional and did the job timely and efficiently. The installers were professional and always kept me informed every step of the project. I worked with Bianco on two projects. One of my projects was the installation of quartzite in my bathroom and kitchen. They other was putting backsplash on my kitchen wall. Bianco was a breath of fresh air to work with. I had a different contractor for a painting project the went horribly wrong. I greatly appreciate Bianco's professionalism and kindness!. I have attached several pictures to showcase their work!

We hired San Diego Rock Tops about a year and a half ago to do granite and tile in a kitchen remodel. The work was amazing! The granite fabrication was done with true skill. We enjoyed the work so much that we hired them earlier this year to remodel all 3 of our bathrooms. They all turned out great! Bianco was always willing to offer advice on what we should do and his crew worked long hours to make sure the project got done. I would recommend them, and have, to family and friends.

I was looking for a fabrication shop to help build a granite table top. I send a blanket "requests for quote" on yelp to all shops suggested by Yelp. Bianco replies very quickly with a very reasonable price. And the communication afterwards were always timely and polite. I picked up the finished piece yesterday and it is perfect sitting in my dining room now. A side note, when we need back out our trailer from store front to the main road, Bianco moved his own truck to the main road and stopped all the traffic behind to make sure we got out safely. I was so pleased with this company!! Bianco Oliveira returned my calls, kept appts. showed up on time, text me with answers, . Completed the project by the time we picked out the slab, in just a few days from measuring to completion. Amazing! Leo and David came out and installed. Everyone was so polite and such hard workers! Protected my flooring while they were installing the kitchen granite counter tops. Cleaned up everything before they left. Kept me informed on everything they were doing. Bianco had some great ideas for the granite and then with the leftover material, made me a cutting board without me even asking. I can't speak highly enough of this company. Thank you!!!!

Bianco was referred by 2 co-workers. From start to finish he was available and his quote was actually the best of all of the licensed contractors (I got 4 quotes). The quote was for all of the work including sinks if desired; the stone was not included. If you want his guidance with your project, he will give it. If you don't he is ok with that. He simply wants you to be happy. I replaced my builder's granite in the kitchen, added a backsplash and replaced the tile vanities in the bathrooms. I purchased the slabs after 3 visits to Brazilian Exotic Granite and I purchased the tiles at AZ tile. Both places gave a contractor's discount since the items were picked up by a contractor. I'm very picky and detailed oriented. Bianco answered my numerous questions and made sure I was happy every step of the way. I relied on Bianco's expert opinion for some decisions and never regretted it. His advice was not based on how much money he could make but what would make me happy. I read the review and looked at the pic from a negative review. That's why I got 4 quotes. I got nervous and discussed it with Simon at the granite yard. He recommended I talk to Bianco. Which I did but only after I got another quote (that's why I got 4 quotes). I expressed my concerns to Bianco and he gave me a reasonable explanation- I was reassured and even with pictures there are 2 sides to every story. I actually considered using a different contractor for the tile. I'm so glad I didn't. The tile work was outstanding. My handyman, who is a retired contractor, commented on the quality work. In particular, he said the cuts were perfect, even the notches for the screws were good. I can't wait to get my shower done.

I was very please with Bianco and his crew of talented fabricators! I just had a small job, 2 marble tops for my custom built nightstands. Bianco pointed out several options and I settled on a Ceasarstone for the practicality. I love the way they came out and it was a matter of days from start to finish. I thought the price was fair and Bianco is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, he made the experience even more pleasant. I would use them in the future and definitely recommend Rocktops.

Wonderful experience. Wonderful customer service. Wonderful quality. I ran into an unusual scenario (i think) where I needed to replace my gas cooktop that was already set in granite but my existing cutout was an irregular size and I could not find another stainless steel cooktop that would fit into the existing cutout. I called San Diego Rocktops and the owner was responsive and fit me in quickly even though this is such a small job. The guys showed up and cut my granite in place to enlarge the cutout and ensured my new cooktop fit correctly into it. Their customer service and attention to detail was impressive and I'm definitely calling them for all my granite needs in the future.

They were referred to us by Arizona Tile and they have done an outstanding job! We had just purchase a new home and had family coming to see the home for the first time, so we had a short time frame. We had a granite slab installed and a stone wall installed for our entertainment center. We recently worked with Bianco at San Diego Rocktops to install a tumbled marble backsplash in three different areas of our kitchen. Bianco was very knowledgeable and responsive from the initial emails, all the way through project completion. He was up-front and honest with recommendations and very fair with pricing. He and his crew were always on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up well after themselves. Within the span of three days, our old backsplash was removed and our beautiful new backsplash was installed, grouted and sealed. They did a beautiful job -- I've added 3 pictures to the Yelp profile of the different areas where our new backsplash was installed (all are labeled "Tumbled Marble Backsplash"). I cannot say enough what a pleasure it is to do business with Bianco. As a general contractor in the San Diego area I have been using San Diego Rocktops for all of my project for the last 3 years. Their eye for details is second to none. We had San Diego Rocktops lay tile floors in our bathrooms and replace one counter top in a bathroom. I should start with saying the finished project looks good, but the whole process was a complete and utter headache. Scheduling was a nightmare. Initial demo contractors were horrible and people never turned up when they said they were going to turn up (half way through our job they are sent to another job). It was way more stressful and frustrating that any other contractor job we have had done. Verbal estimates and quotes turned in to higher end of job bills (I recommend getting everything in writing!) and I later found we were billed for a demo that didn't even happen. By the end of the project we were just glad to be done. We are happy with how the floors look and the tiler did a decent job and was pleasant, as was the countertop installer. However, I think we were overcharged and I think there was very little respect for our time as customers.

I hired Bianco because he had done some work for me in the past and he did an excellent job however I hired him this time to install tiles in my kitchen and bathrooms was very disappointed with the service and workmanship. He did not supervise the job and I found a lot of mistakes, and huge mistakes like not installing the baseboard, found several tiles that were chipped and no one caught it. Some places they forgot to add tile other places they just filled it with grout instead of adding a small piece of tile. I had to ask him to come back several times to fix the mistakes which they should have caught to begin with as some of them were pretty blatant. Anyway the last time that they came back Bianco told me that they will not come back again which was fine. I showed him all the damaged tiles and he said it wasn't a problem and he would fix it. It took a long time to send someone which was fine but the day he sent someone Marco showed up and he said to me that there were too many tiles and he wasn't going to fix it. He also said that he had to come back too many times to fix things and I had to remind him that it was their own mistakes. He finally called Bianco and I think Bianco told him to fix the tiles. The guys who came to fix the chipped tiles, damaged other tiles, left globs of dried grout on several tiles that I had to scrape off. They left my walls filthy dirty, trash in the bathroom tub, the floors filthy dirty and flushed all the debris in the toilet. In general they did not clean after themselves ever. I was very disappointed with the job and if I had known that the service was going to be so bad I would have hired someone else. The worse part is that with just a little more care it could have been a a great experience and I would have recommended them to my friends because I really like Bianco as I have worked with him on several projects in the past. Incidentally I called and texted Bianco several times to talk to him about the job and about Marco but he never responded. Marco was terrible to deal with and am glad that I only dealt with him once during the whole job.

Absolutely one of the worst contractors I've ever worked with. We had him do a large kitchen counter install, and it was botched from start to finish. First, the corners were cut incorrectly and they had to take them back to the shop to "fix" (note they never were cut correctly even after 2 trips back to the shop). The 2 sink holes were cut unevenly and too big. As others have said, the installers are sloppy, cuts are rough and uneven, veins don't match up, appliances are damaged. The list goes on and on. Even worse, Bianco takes no personal responsibility. Although the problems were entirely his fault he told me I would have to buy 3 more slabs (at $2000 a piece) to fix the issues! I finally had to have another company come in to fix everything- at an additional cost to me. It set our kitchen remodel back months, as Bianco refused to return our $13,000 worth of materials/slabs. After finally getting our lawyer involved (more $), the items were finally returned. The company that fixed the counters for us said that they've repaired 3 other projects San Diego Rock Tops started and botched. Also, and maybe most importantly, his employees are NOT insured under workman's comp. That means if God forbid there is an accident, you, the homeowner pay for any medical treatment. Have you seen the huge cost of an Emergency Room bill lately? To confirm the insurance issue for yourself, simply log onto the California Contractors Association: it shows that he claims he has no workers (lie) and therefore does not pay workman's comp. We learned all this the hard way. I hope we can save others from making a huge mistake as well.

If I could give zero stars I would. We called up Marco to give us an estimate to fabricate the transaction top of our new custom reception desk at my place of business - The Bar Method Solana Beach. We had a short lead time that was discussed from the very beginning and he agreed to do it. We were so happy! He came out to take the measurements, gave us a price, and let us know when he could come back to get it done. After he left, we couldn't get a hold of him for 2 days before he texted us back saying he would not complete the job. He claimed we didn't have a contract, nor did we put down a deposit, however we never received a contract from him nor did he invoice us for a deposit. We would've gladly paid a deposit when we had our initial conversation. He simply used this as an excuse to back out at the last minute and leave us in a bind opening our studio for a grand-reopening with an unfinished desk. He is unstrustworthy and unreliable. If you're looking for great customer service from reliable and skilled craftsman...keep looking! Do not hire these guys. They will disappoint you. I've been in business for almost 8 years and the one thing I know for sure is "The customer is always right." and in a small community like North County San Diego, it's best to learn that sooner rather than later.

We hired Bianco to do our backsplash after a referral by another contractor. We were sorely disappointed by his work, and the people that he hires. The cuts were awkward, the grouting poor and the workmanship subpar. Bianco never came to inspect the work but we had other contractors do so, and they commented on the lack of craftmanship. Bianco did offer to "fix" the problems but it was not clear how he would fix it nor who would pay for more supplies. We wanted him to demo the entire project. He later agreed that the project was unfixable after we sent him pictures but instead said that the backsplash was unattractive and offered to help us in our search for a new backsplash. No thank you!
