Just had our countertops installed by Rock It. Great experience and I highly recommend. We picked the color and they took care of everything else. Our first set of slabs came in damaged and Steven did a great job of inspecting them and sending them back. We ended up with MSI concerto for the color which has a nice concrete look.

Steve and the team at Rock-It Surfaces are absolutely top notch! From the moment we walked into their showroom we were treated wonderfully! Steve took the time to sit down with us and discuss what our vision was for our kitchen. He answered all of our questions and walked us around his yard as we picked out just what we wanted. We found the most beautiful pieces of marble I had ever seen! Steve came to the house, completed all of the measurements and his team returned a week later with the most beautiful countertops I have ever seen! Installation went perfect as well. The guys were definitely experts in their craft! The marble countertops are 3cm thick and of the highest quality! If you are in need of countertops for any area of your house, you really really should choose Rock-It! You’ll be glad you did!!!

Steven, Richard, and the installation team at Rock-It did a great job with the countertops and backsplash for our kitchen remodel. We didn't have any upper cabinets in our new kitchen layout and wanted to bring the countertops up and to do a full wall backsplash. Steven tried to talk us out of it at first, but we wanted to do it and I'm happy to report that it looks amazing! Richard came out to template and provided drawings of the layout with our slabs overlaid so we knew how it would look. The countertop installation happened a week after templating and took around 3-4 hours. Richard came out the following day to template the wall including all the holes needed for the range hood and electrical. A few days later, the team came back and installed the slab backsplash. I would definitely recommend Rock-It as a one-stop shop for your countertop needs!

When we embarked on a kitchen remodel earlier this year the cabinet supplier we settled on recommended Rock-it Surfaces for a countertop. This was a first time kitchen renovation for us so we had a lot of questions (some of which were asked multiple times, I’m sure) and both Steven and Richard patiently and expertly answered them all. They both had good insights into picking a product that functionally and aesthetically worked for us and we could not be happier. They were able to shift the installation schedule to accommodate our vacation plans and the installers were punctual and professional. During the installation the crew noted they had brought the wrong sink grid. A quick phone call and the proper grid was delivered within the hour. We love the final result! From start to finish Rock-It was professional and delivered an awesome product. Highly recommend.

This is the second time we have had Rock-It install countertops for us. A couple of years ago we redid our kitchen and the cabinet place recommended Rock-it over what they could provide. The kitchen countertop is still perfect. When we decided to redo the bathroom of course we went back to Rock-It. They have remnants to choose from for smaller bathroom vanities. The remnant we choose is beautiful. We have had so many compliments on it already. Steve was quick to come out to measure, and discuss the best options for our small area and even quicker getting it installed. We have one more bathroom to do next year. We would not even consider going anywhere but Rock-It. Recommended Highly!!

We just experienced the smoothest and most amazing kitchen remodel thanks to the team at Rock-It Surfaces. We were referred to Steven and his team by close friends after admiring their project last year. The quartz counters that Steven helped us select look even better than we imagined. Our island is quite large and we were able to have a full slab countertop with no seems thanks to the precision software measurement tools that they use. Everything moved along quite quickly from demo to installation (one week). We were able to keep our existing cabinetry with no damage done during demolition. Both the demo crew and the install crew were extremely professional, respectful and knowledgeable. They took great care with our home and removal of all materials and clean up. To our delight we were only without our kitchen for a week, and amazed how accurate and precise the entire process was. We will refer other friends and family to Rock-It Surfaces. I would give 10 stars if possible. Rock-It installed our 3cm granite countertops about 15 years ago, and you still cannot find the seams! When we needed countertops for another place we did not hesitate to contact Rock-It. Steve, Richard, and the entire team are easy to work with. They are generous with their time and advice, willing to answer any and all questions. We are thrilled with the 3cm quartzite natural stone island and countertop recently installed. I was very indecisive about what material I wanted to use and whether or not to add a backsplash. Steven was great about answering all my questions and adjusting my estimate several times. He also has a good eye for design and suggested extending my countertop a bit so that it lined up with my vanity mirror. We are very happy with our new outdoor kitchen counter top. Steve, in the Sale floor was very helpful in directing us to the right kind of stone to use outside. Everyone else told us to use quartzite. Steve was the only one who pointed out that the resins in the quartzites will quickly leave to wear and tear and discoloration (which I confirmed doing research online). He used high tech equipment to get just the right measurements. The install team was friendly and professional and went above and beyond when it turned out our landscapers didn't cut out the Grill section in the pre-fab that we got (miscommunication) . We provided a metal saw and they just went ahead and took care of things for us. They didn't complain or anything - so impressed! Our new counter looks amazing! Also the price was very reasonable for the stone and the labor!

They are professional and run a tight ship. Everything was documented and double-checked at each step. After dealing with sloppy contractors for everything else, Rock-It was a breath of fresh air. The installation went very well. Again, the Rock-It team was very professional. They did laser measurements of the installed vanities to make sure the stone would be perfectly cut. The installers themselves were clean, efficient, and did a high quality job. Again, I wish all the contractors working on my home were like them. We were looking for countertops for our new bathrooms when we found Rock It online and the fact that they specialize in thicker material than the rest and quotes was stated as a simple process, intrigued us. After going there and looking at all the materials they had to offer, we quickly picked out a stone, got a quote and put a small deposit all within 20 minutes. It was so simple. They kept in touch throughout the whole process, when we were ready for measuring, they came out, took scientific measurements of the vanities and within a week, had two beautiful vanity tops installed. I couldn't be happier with Rock-It. They are running a very professional shop and throughout the whole project their communication was excellent. Email responses were quick. I won't hesitate to recommend Rock-It to friends and family, and hire them again in the future. The quartz was cut to precision and fit was perfect. They also saved us several thousand dollars by using a single slab for our project. Installation was quick (less than 3 hours for 3 pieces) and as promised took place 7 business days after the measurement (also quick at around 20 minutes). Rock-It did our kitchen once again after a leak forced us to remodel. I was devastated to lose the original granite they did for us 7 years ago, but the leathered quartz they installed this time is absolutely stunning. Steve was so patient in the planning stage and gave great suggestions. Richard measured meticulously and even came back to make sure a template he made would fit a spot where the laser wasn't catching. Rock-It recently installed a beautiful, precision-cut Mont Blanc slab (with a leather finish) for a dining area in our house. We are very happy with the final product and we recommend their services. Based on strong online reviews, we sought out Rock-It Surfaces for our job. After the initial meeting, we also visited some other businesses for comparison, but none of those businesses demonstrated the same expertise and we felt very comfortable that Rock-It would provide us the best final product. We reserved our slab ~6 weeks prior to install. During the finalization of the slab design, we noticed that there was a slight blemish in one spot of the slab. Steve Nenzel, the owner, worked with us to find the perfect piece/layout/cut and the install occurred a few days later. The final product is stunning and even more beautiful than we had anticipated. The leathered finish on the Mont Blanc dolomite slab elevates the natural beauty of the dolomite. And we are thankful for the information and expertise provided by Steve throughout the process.

Our kitchen countertops were 30+ years old and needed replacing. We visited several showrooms but wanted a 'one-stop shop' to provide the countertop, demolition, install, etc. These guys are consummate professionals, down to the very last detail. Richard came out to survey the kitchen, discussed options, and was very polite and friendly. His one disappointment was that he might have to allow an extra 1/8th of an inch around the range just to provide a fraction more space. Anyway, take a look at the photographs; the results speak for themselves. Maybe they aren't the cheapest but I know we'll never have any regrets with the end result. Absolutely fabulous, and incredibly precise :) I did see a couple of other reviews where Steve perhaps wasn't super-friendly. Maybe a touch up on the customer experience would be great, but hey, I didn't hire them for a warm palm and a hug :-)

The crew at Rock-It replaced the tile counters in my kitchen and the counters in my bathrooms. Steven took the time to go over the different options, then gave us the opportunity to look over the different samples at our own pace. The measuring process was quick, with our questions answered about the process. Responses to emails were very fast - I was the slower responder. The demo crew was very careful with the fresh paint job and new floors - due to a scheduling mishap, I had the floor contractor finishing up the floor install on the counter demo day and I appreciated the crews working around each other for a short time. They were able to remove the tile counters with no damage to the cabinets and minimal, easily repaired drywall blemishes. I was very pleased with that, having demoed tile myself in the past. On the day of the install, the crew was friendly, courteous, and efficient. I appreciated how mindful the crew was of my pets as they were in and out of the house. They were able to build up support structure for my island for the countertop. Again, there were only a few drywall nicks from the bathroom install. The counters and sinks are lovely and I recommend Rock-It Surfaces!

Just completed the 5th install from Rock-It; 3 of those in my own home. As expected, everything is pretty much perfect. Computerized measurements, CNC cutting and a photo preview of *your actual piece of stone" all contribute to an exceptional result. Steven and Richard always take care of me with fair pricing and turnaround time. I don't even bother calling anyone else for my countertop needs any more and refer others to them all the time.

The Rock-It Surfaces Inc. team rocked our countertops, and we love it! Our biggest concern during the selection process was a countertop that ended in the middle of a window. Rock-It was the only company that addressed the problem upfront and provided a solution. Some companies didn't reply at all. The next step in the process was selecting our material, another bonus. We didn't have to waste hours driving to every company that carries quartz. Rock-It has the slabs at their office location, and Richard gave us a list of the Quartz slabs and pricing. We knew the slab we wanted as soon as we saw it and proceeded to the next step. We went over the details and signed off on the contract, including demo, fabrication, installation, and literally, the kitchen sink. The demo and measure date went as planned. As others have mentioned, the area is measured by laser and fabricated off-site. A week from our final sign-off, our beautiful countertops were installed, and I can't stop looking at them. The counter that ended in the middle of a window is gone, along with the eye twitch I got every time I saw it. A waterfall edge turned it into extra counter space and a thing of beauty. We knew ahead of time that the quartz piece in the window would need to be planed. Pat and Taylor took the final measurements while on-site and called them into the office to create our custom piece. Someone from the office then delivered it so it could be installed. This is the difference in craftsmanship. Steve & Richard have been great to work with. 18 months ago we had them complete a small bathroom counter top that turned out great. This time we had our kitchen and 2 bathrooms fitted with Quartz counter tops. They were so helpful in helping me select the color. The time to come out to measure was in perfect timing with our cupboard install and fabrication was completed extremely quick and precise. Our counter tops were installed 7 days after measuring The installers were very professional and install went with out any problems. The job is perfect. Entire project completed with only one tiny seam by the sink which you cannot see our 5' X 8' island is stunning! Would never go anywhere else!!

We recently completed a renovation of our entire house involving the installation of a new kitchen. One of the most important things to us was the kitchen countertop, and we decided to go with granite because of its durability and heat resistance. We checked multiple places within the San Diego area and decided on Rock-it because they seemed very knowledgeable, reliable and also very reasonably priced. This turned out to be the very best decision we made throughout the entire renovation, for reasons we didn't even know at the beginning. First, they were by far the best price for the slab and installation. Second, we found out that granite comes in two widths - 2 cm and 3 cm. Most people use the 2 cm width, which then also involves creating a small curtain of granite that runs around the top, otherwise the 2 cm looks very thin. With 3 cm no curtain is necessary - it's just a solid piece of tick granite. It also weighs 50% more of course, but you get a lot more material for your money, and it looks better than having two pieces abutting each other along every edge. Second, their measuring process was very impressive. They used a machine to exactly measure the countertop dimensions that the set in the center of the kitchen and were able to calculate dimensions to within a tiny fraction of an inch. As a result the piece they brought to the house fit absolutely perfectly to tolerances that would rival the manufacture of a Rolls Royce. Third, they provided expert advice on exactly how we should configure the countertop for its use as a bar as well, with a 10 inch overhang. Their solution provided maximum stability but did not require the use of posts or poles that would have detracted from the overall simple look we wanted. Fourth, they helped us choose the piece of granite and the exact areas to be selected to give the most interesting pattern. What is great about them is you only pay for the granite you use, so you don't have to buy a whole slab that you are not going to use. Their installation was fast and painless, which was also impressive considering that they had to bring a massive heavy countertop up winding stairway which all of our other contractors had trouble with, and they didn't leave a mark on the walls or the floor. All said, they were the best single contractor we have ever worked with and it is impossible to praise them or recommend them highly enough.

We chose Rock-It as part of our kitchen remodel after considering several other options. We felt that Steven and team were offering an honest price for a quality product and really liked the fact that all of the production work was done on site. We had a very unusual mishap and ended up with the wrong slab being delivered. While this was incredibly disappointing, let me say that Steven immediately took ownership of the mishap and worked to make it right. He could have easily written us off, but he did not! Unfortunately, this type of integrity is hard to find these days and we are very appreciative of our experience with Rock-It and would not hesitate to use them again.

Fantastic experience using RockIt for replacing all the countertops in our home with natural stone. Initial estimate was based on my own rough measurements which they put into a drawing and sent for review along with a clear price sheet for labor and materials. Steven made outstanding recommendations to help us end up with the perfect result. Demo was clean and careful. Then the guys used a laser measurement system to get exact measurements of everything. Counters arrived a week later after confirming with me again final design selections including overhangs, edge finishes, sinks and faucets. Install was absolutely perfect. Everything fit like a glove thanks to their precision processes. The install team spent many hours making everything perfectly level and fine tuned the backsplashes on site. We could not be happier. Worth the fair and reasonable price for the high quality professional result. I'm very critical of home improvement work and usually find things I'm disappointed with but I have zero complaints with RockIt and the result.

My husband and I had kitchen countertops fabricated and installed by Rock It Surfaces 2 days ago and we want to thank the staff and give a 5 star review for our experience with this company. From the very start, we were impressed with the company. Their website has a great tutorial for those needing to purchase and have countertops installed with lots of great information starting from scratch. The owners, Steven and Richard Nenzel both were very accommodating with questions and had good solid answers for us when we visited their store. Adam, the person who measured our space for the countertops, was pleasant, efficient and conscientious and the measurements were great. Pat and Taylor, the installers, were friendly, professional, and skilled. They did a great job. We purchased the stone at Rock It Surfaces and it is quite beautiful-It is a quartzite stone called Cocada Blue. We are very grateful to have found this company and highly recommend them. We made the decision to replace our bathroom counters early March 2020 and chose Rock-It Surfaces because of on-site showroom, demolition, fabrication and installation services. Despite the declaration of the national emergency COVID-19 pandemic mid-March, Rock-It Surfaces came through within a week, installing our beautiful quartz countertops. We renovated our kitchen without contractor, and we were looking for a countertop company where they sell granite/quartz and also do installation. When I sent an email to Steve about getting an inquiry about fees and types of countertops, he emailed me back RIGHT AWAY! He gave us all the quotes and made our life so much easier. Since we knew what our countertop cost would be like, all the process was stress free. When you can shop around and knowing how much it will cost doesn't happen often when you shop for kitchen renovation materials. All the prices included installation. We ordered our countertop on Wednesday, they came to do the measurements on Saturday. We only had to wait for about a week to prepare for the countertops. They installed our countertops Tuesday! So, it was about total of 2 weeks! Super smooth process. Super helpful, respectful, and professional customer services. Steve is an amazing sales person.
