Very rude when I called today about enlarging the diameter of a sink hole on granite they installed several years ago. Called another local granite company who quoted half the cost and was a pleasure to speak with. Would not ever use OGM again.

Had them come out to place a granite hearth around my new fireplace (we are remodeling the entire house). The man who came out to measure said his electronic tool would ensure a perfect fit. Wrong. Not only did it not fit properly, the top piece was broke & if they had inspected prior to coming into the house they would have caught that. Also, they did not dry fit anything prior to applying the adhesive. Unknown to us, our floor was not level & apparently they do not check for this when measuring for this “perfect fit”. The installer had the granite on the floor with the adhesive & said well hurry, it’s going to sit what do you want me to do. Like how am I to know? We were also assured the seam between the “legs” and header would not show. They do. The installer applied the epoxy to fill in the gap between one leg and the fireplace despite me telling him we would take care of that because I was just done with them. It’s sloppy and messy. I will NOT hire them for the rest of the work I need in my house.

Do not use this company. Olive Glass and Marble does not stand behind their work. They installed my 75 year old sister's granite after she lost her home in Hurricane Matthew in 2017. A couple of weeks ago (June 2020), the sink separated from the granite and began to fall down. The OGM serviceman said "someone" took the clips out. That is so ridiculous. Why would anyone have done that? I assure you my 75 year old sister did not get down under the sink and do it. If the clips had fallen out, they would have been in the cabinet which they were not. If they had been installed properly, they would not have fallen out. The same guy that did the original install did the repair and he either forgot to put them in or put them in improperly so that they fell out. The most likely scenario is that he forgot to put the clips and only used a small amount of adhesive for the installation. I checked with several people in the granite and plumbing business and all said that there is no reason anyone would remove clips. It took less than an hour to do the repair and the charged was $185! SHAME ON THEM for not standing behind their work. SHAME ON THEM for charging such an outrageous price for a simple, quick repair on their original work. To make it even worse, my sister is a senior citizen on a fixed income and $185 really impacts her financially.

Super fast and easy process. I reached out online and they emailed me back super quick. Brennan was very professional, he came to measure the shower and gave me a time frame of when the install would happen. The guys that came to install it truly made sure everything was near perfect before they left. I could not be any happier with the way my shower glass turned out!

We recently updated our kitchen countertops and without question, Sedberry Olive and his team were the most professional, meticulous and knowledgeable folks anyone could hope for. They discovered/uncovered an issue with our stove vent, that had it not been addressed, would have caused serious problems in our home. In other words, they could have installed the new granite and not mentioned the issue. That’s not how they do business…thankfully!!!
I would highly recommend this well-established and ethnically proven company to anyone looking for new, to upgrade, replace or are in need of anything kitchen, bathroom, outdoor dining space, or the likes. They are amazing to work with and willing to stay the course until the project is complete.

I have had the best experiences working with Olive Glass and Marble! We just finished a kitchen remodel last year and they helped us pick our quartz counters, Blanco sink and glass for cabinets and an existing island. They are so attentive to the small details and we could not have been more pleased with their price, installation and knowledge on the project as a whole. They also installed granite and a beautiful mirror backsplash a few years ago when I renovated a condo...when I accidentally chipped the granite they were able to come and repair it quickly! I look forward to doing business with this family owned local business again in the future! Thanks OGM!

Just got all new countertops from Olive Glass & Marble. They did an AMAZING job. First we met with Sed Olive, he explained the entire process fully. He showed us all the options we could look at granite, marble and quartz. He even let us look at hundreds of slabs. We were given samples to take home to think about. Then they came out and measured all surfaces. Then scheduled a time to take out the prior countertops and prior tile work. The crew showed up and took out all the tile work and countertops. There was zero mess with this company. Then they installed everything to perfection,. If I could give 10 stars out of 10, I would.

I've used Olive Glass and Marble on two remodels for my personal homes and couldn't be happier! I was so thrilled with their first job that I couldn't wait to use them the second time on my next home. It's so nice to be able to support my local economy while getting personal, professional, and quick service. From the start I enjoyed my visit to their beautiful showroom and was thrilled with the helpful staff. They were able to answer all my questions all while never making me feel rushed or pressured. I plan to use them again to remodel my bathroom since my kitchen turned out so well. I highly recommend this company to anyone, you won't be disappointed!

Your People are rude! RUDE, rude, rude! My upstairs neighbor's condo had a glass window replaced after a break-in. They did their repairs and while cleaning up the pieces, glass rained down to my level below, coating my entryway and myself in glass. They didn't apologize or clean up the glass that had fallen. I asked if they could vacuum the glass in front of my door that they let fall and I was simply told NO. I had already swept around my door once. I had glass fall on my in my hair from them working above me. Luckily I wasn't looking up or I could have been injured! Not acceptable.

I called several weeks ago and asked them to re-seal a seam in my granite counter tops. They said it was a small job and would like to "just work me in" when they were in the area...I thought maybe they had forgotten about me, however, true to their word, they called and a team of 2 guys came out... they were friendly and professional! They did the job and cleaned up throughly after the job! Not sure if all the crews are as quick and efficient as these two but they were top shelf!!

What is the fabrication and installation timeline for a countertop at Olive Glass & Marble?

Acting as a mystery shopper, our analyst attempted to contact company representatives to clarify the timeframe for a standard 83.4 sq. ft. countertop project — however, either the calls and messages went unanswered, or the staff were unable or unwilling to provide an estimated completion time. It’s important to note that situations like this are not uncommon: contractors may be overwhelmed with work, prefer to discuss project details in person, or choose not to disclose information during the initial contact.

Unfortunately, in the course of our mystery shopper research, we were unable to obtain information about the quote preparation time from Olive Glass & Marble in Fayetteville, NC. Our analyst may not have been able to reach a company representative, or the quote was never provided after initial contact. As a result, we are unable to objectively evaluate the company’s quote turnaround speed. This situation is rare and usually related to temporary workload or internal processing specifics. It does not necessarily indicate a low level of service — it simply means that we didn’t receive a response within the research timeframe.
To get up-to-date information, we recommend contacting the company directly through our website — submit a request, call, or message them to receive a personalized quote and clarify current pricing.
Does Olive Glass & Marble offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Olive Glass & Marble performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Olive Glass & Marble provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Olive Glass & Marble, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Olive Glass & Marble in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
