I shopped this pretty thoroughly - competitive pricing - real business that has been around for many years - in fact in my research the only thing that wasn't up to speed was their lack of ratings on yelp - I called AZ tile one day on something else and just happened to ask about them and they said oh yeah these guys are good and we do allot of business with them. I went with them after getting 3 bids and I am pleased - excellent work - showed when they said they would - they fabricated my counters and installed two sinks. Kept my house clean and sealed the granite before leaving. I worked with Phillip the owners son but I am sure others can help as well - Adam was helpful too. This company has as many crews leaving each day - Kudos!

I have used Old World many times for different homes I've owned. Needless to say I am a repeat customer, and there is a reason for this! Their craftsmanship and attention to detail is incredible. During installation the employees treated my home as if it were their own. They just completed 2 bathrooms for me in our summer home, and it was exceptional!! I have just commissioned them to do 2 bathrooms in my home, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received.

Poor customer service. Waste of time. Made three separate trips to view slabs, Calling ahead on the second and third trip to make sure somebody would be able to help us. We were told on the last trip, after arriving, there’s one guy that can help and we have to wait for him to become available, with no ETA provided. We sat and waited two times and gave up. We waited over 40 mins each time...

I highly recommend these guys. I have am working out of state for my client in AZ and Old World has been the kindest, hardworking, respectful, patient, people. The communication with them has been beyond outstanding. We had a few hiccups (with other subs) and they caught them and called right away to get them straightened out. They have a phenomenal fab install crew that is very knowledgeable and get the work done correctly and in a timely manner. There work is fabulous. Don't forget about the rem yard. If you aren't needing a full slab they have a great selection of remnants. Thank you Old World!! Look forward to working with you again!!

We recently decided to upgrade our master bath and guest bath. We visited several granite and tile locations in Scottsdale and Phoenix and decided to go with Old World, as we felt very comfortable in the show room when speaking with Margie. She was easy to work with and her suggestions and expertise helped us to narrow down the best quartz countertops for our project! We were able to find a beautiful white quartz with brown running through it, which is what we wanted and most everywhere else we were just finding gray. (we kept our dark brown cabinets) We also chose to buy new sinks at Old World and purchasing the square sinks, two for each bathroom, really modernize the room. The delivery and install was right on time and the two installers were very professional and did a great job. We would highly recommend Margie and Old World! Bob and Margaret.

This second project was as successful as the first when we remodeled a massive 15 foot fireplace and the master bathroom. Yesterday OWTG added a leathered vanity top to the guest bathroom suite. Their fab operations, serving corporate offices, restaurants and other businesses as well as residences, are unbeatable. And their abilities to design slab cuts book-matching multiple colored striations are better than art! Both jobs were done effortlessly: they actually beat schedules, communicate constantly and show-up...unlike another prominent Scottsdale fabricator who shall be nameless. You can waste time interviewing others, as we originally did, but you'll happily engage Old World and appreciate their expertise.

I have had the best experiences working with Old World on many projects in homes I have owned. I am what you would call a happy repeat customer. I just had 2 bathrooms completed in our summer home and am having 2 bathrooms being done right now. As a remodeling General Contractor, I really appreciate it when the contractors I employ are timely, professional, honest and do what they say they will do. I use Old World Tile and Granite for countertops on all of my kitchen and bathroom remodels. Working with Margie and Darren is a pleasure for me as well as my clients. We just finished our kitchen remodel with OWT. It was a pleasure working with Phillip and Jeanette. (The company is family owned, which is always a plus.) My counter tops turned out beautifully. We went with the Ogee edge, which was more expensive, but I think it really made a huge difference with the stone that we had picked. My phone calls and texts were always returned promptly. Their installers were polite and friendly, and made sure that everything was perfect. (There were a few issues along the way, but they were very good working through them.) They were able to order the exact sinks that I wanted. We plan on remodeling our bathrooms in the next year. We will use Old World Tile for our future projects. Thank you OWT.

I shopped around looking for the best options for my new kitchen. I wanted a high end product and also wanted to stay on budget, so was acting as my own contractor. I didn't expect a business in Scottsdale to offer me the best value in town, but that's what I got from Old World. Mike Kern was there the day my husband and I stopped in. After explaining that I needed to know the cost of the granite before making a choice, he guided us through the gorgeous array of slabs conveniently located out front. I hate having to ask the price--but I must! We were shocked to find out that an amazing category 5 Crema Bordeaux granite was within our price range. Mike helped us decide which two slabs we wanted, then we did a quick estimate based on my measurements and discussed edges and other options. Fabrication was available quickly. A technician came out to do the measurements, and he was the only downside to the process. Don't know if the guy is still there, but he was pompous and made smart-ass misogynistic remarks while in my home. Not the brightest idea in customer service when your client is a woman, big guy. Then in his infinite wisdom as an engineer, he made a serious measuring error. The main island slab was cut over a foot too short. It was possible to have a new slab cut at their expense and delivered the following day, so it was not disastrous but could have been if no more of the material was in stock. We were able to go back to the yard prior to fabrication and actually select where we wanted the veining and colors of the granite to be placed (within reason) on the counters. The entire bid was so good, I opted for an expensive ogee edge on all the counters. The installers were courteous, skilled, professional, and prompt and Mike is great to work with.

Beautiful work. We chose Old World after they completed my dad and uncle's kitchens. They did two small countertops for some built-ins next to our tv. They worked hard to give us the look we wanted for a reasonable price. They are a little hard to get ahold of- it is easier to go in to talk in person.

As a follow up. I was contacted by the owner of OWT. He was very apologetic for my experience at his business. To be fair, it was only one employee that I worked with. I don't believe he is representative of the service of OWT. I should have contacted someone else if the original employee wasn't returning my calls. I would consider OWT for future projects after hearing directly from the owner.

We wanted to update the counter on our 36" vanity and thought we had an easy measure/installation. however, this project went wrong from measure to installation. The new countertop is one inch too short and the mirror over hangs the edge of the counter. We called our sales rep during installation and was told she was with a customer and requested to speak to a manager and was told one was not available. We did leave both a voicemail and email for our sales rep but have not received a response. Installers (arrived with no mask and no offer to put one) told us they were not aware that they were to remove the old countertop (removal and disposal of the old top was in our contract) and had to borrow our tools to do the job. Furthermore, they did not clean up after installation, leaving dust and debris on the bathroom floor and new countertop. Since Old World Tile required payment in full prior to scheduling installation and we could not reach anyone in the office, we had the new top installed because we were afraid that if the installers took the new top back they would have our money and we would never see another countertop. We are now left with the expense and hassle of replacing the existing mirror in order for it to line up with the new counter. I am attaching photos of the bathroom with the old counter as well as photos of the new counter as installed.

OWTG no longer offers cabinets for ur bathroom or kitchen remodeling project. After waiting more than a month to hear from Margie F on the status of our project, she finally called to tell us this but offered no alternate cabinet options. Funny that a small business such as OWTG did not know this before they agreed to do our job. Margie just kept us in the dark and now we have to start over. Find another cabinet and stone fabricator for ur project as this business (and Margie) is not one u will want to work with if u want ur project completed.

What a horrible experience! A two day job to replace counters and backsplash with granite, turned into 12 days. They hung the first slab wrong, after it was already cut. Waited a full week until they got an electrician out who had to move my outlets to line up with the holes they cut for them. The installers made a tremendous mess during demo, and didn't bother to clean up after themselves. They showed zero respect for our property, leaving their garbage (including razor blades) all over my yard and driveway, even breaking a landscape light because they couldn't bother to stay on the walkway. Which they did pay for. At every step, we had to call multiple people to find out when they were going to be back out to continue. Often leaving voicemails, and no response back. Everything was great up until install. And once that started, all the difficulties and challenges began. Very disappointing.

I tried this place, and the sales lady asked for all my information then asked what am I looking for. I picked the item I needs and asked for the price she said they will email it to me. I am still waiting to hear back from them! It's been 3 days they took. Down all my information but no response! This company/owner needs to be accountable for not getting back to us when they asked for all of our information.

Terrible Customer service :( I have tried for over two weeks to get a call back from Darren. The gals answering the phone are pleasant but I never hear back from anybody about coming out to do an estimate for a job. I would never use my money to fund a company that can't even call back the Customer to set up an appointment to quote a job. I gave up on Old World Tile & Granite. Call Granite Karma for any Granite or quartz jobs totally professional and affordable and will show up on time and will call you back as they value the Customer!
