My kitchen countertop looks absolutely stunning. I love it. I took forever to decide on granite vs. quartz, and then to decide on type of quartz. I then stumbled into this place, and immediately felt I was in good hands. Halil is an expert at what he does, and put me in the right direction. He tailored his comments to fit the color of my kitchen, and knew exactly what would look good. So, I went with his recommendation. I went into other shops, and the gentlemen did not appear to really know what to recommend. Also, no pressure tactics at this place. Just good, honest, competent customer service. The installation was quick as well. The fabrication is done at the shop, so you can weigh in during the process if you want to. They have a good selection of Quartz as well. Finally, the quotes were highly reasonable and competitive. Great company all around. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend this company. My experience was top-notch from start to finish. When I decided against my original choice, they were patient as I sorted through and got quotes for many different quartzite slabs. Once I decided on the slab outside their facility, they worked with a slab yard to receive the slab. They allowed me to come help figure out which parts of the slabs to allocate to which sections and worked to maximize the use of the slabs. Cutting was meticulous and installation was a breeze. Lastly, huge kudos to the customer service staff at the front.

I would've given them negative 100 if google would allow me that option. Cabinets we ordered were delayed for 2 weeks. Someone with common sense would've given us a call to give us heads up but no.....no one at this establishment seem to have any....We had little chips and dings on our cabinets....yea yea yea....our contractor could've caused it while they were installing the cabinets but someone could have stopped by and fixed this minor dings to provide some service but apparently - there is NO additional service they offered except to tell us that there's a little repair kit that came with our cabinets.....Now - it gets better....Our cabinets were missing corner moldings.....for $6400 - how the heck can you NOT include even a standard molding that closes our kitchen island....And why the heck did you not mention this while we were at the store purchasing the cabinets. Do you guys ALWAYS sell your cabinets without providing end piece to close out the gaps? If so - that's crazy! Now - this gets better....Wife called the owner of the store....His name is Nouri or something....Dude was saying he could not give us the corner molding piece because we decided not to use them to do the counter tops....Why in the word would we want to use your service and products when your service and products are never delivered on time and it costs 40% more than what I paid for at the other wonderful place where I would do my next project on.....Owner said we would haver to pay him $60 dollars to haver someone come out and install the corner piece to mend the gaps in our kitchen island....REALLY? for 60 bucks - you are going to end your relationship with a potential client who could give you more future businesses? And this Nouri guy was so fired up on the phone - could not lower his voice and kept on shouting on the phone saying you guys went somewhere else to get your counter tops so I can't give you this last piece to close out the gaps.....HAHAH!!!!! with his heavy accent and him mumbling on the phone - I didn't want to waste my precious time talking to someone with ZERO common sense and someone who wanted to rip me off with counter tops....Thank god we want with someone else who got us better slab of Quartz at better price. I would avoid this place like a plaque unless you want to get taken advantage of your hard earned money.....Nouri - if you are reading this....Youtube some videos on how to provide better customer service and DO NOT yell and shout on the phone with your current and future clients moving forward. Folks who are reading this review - make sure you are shopping around and get estimates from different establishments. This place was trying to sell me SAME quartz counter tops for $2K more than what I ended up paying at this other joint. Save your money and try different place folks.

A refresh of my kitchen countertop is the second project MM&G has done for me. They are AWESOME! Projects are done professionally and meticulously from planning to clean-up. They even went the extra mile to return to my home and remeasure a length of countertop to see if they could eliminate a seam, which they did!!! They will always be my "go to" company for countertop needs. Their pricing, too, is very competitive , if not usually the best (least expensive).

Halil, Erin, and Elif are a top-notch team in this family-owned business. Elif helped me to select my quartz material and gave me an outstanding price for the kitchen countertops. This team was responsive, always on time, kind, and 100% thoughtful in all interactions. They had a wide selection of countertop materials and one awesome thing they did for me that no other place did-- for only those quartz materials they have in stock--they ONLY charged me for the square footage I used and not for the left-over scrap (all the other vendors charge for the entire slab). This saved me thousands of dollars when compared to the other vendors. They came over to measure exactly on time, and did an impeccable job on the installation. The quartz countertops look great! For all the above reasons--Modern Marble & Granite were the obvious choice, and I would use them again in a heartbeat. I cannot over-recommend them enough.

We have used Modern Marble and Granite twice in the past, and they have been superb in their performance and delivery. This time, I did everything possible to make sure Modern could do this job for us. Halil and his staff were always accommodating on my many visits and telephone calls to identify the right slab for our countertops. He even told me where to go to look at other slabs more in my color line if I could not find one in his many choices. Once I found the slab, Halil offered to go to Chantilly to inspect the slab to ensure there were not cracks or imperfections in the slab that would hinder designing or installation. Usually, I would go check out the slab once it was delivered to Modern's fabrication shop and go over with Halil how he was going to cut the design. I did not go to review the design this time because I had complete trust in Halil's expert design. Due to his expertise, he was able to design our tops from just one slab, saving me the cost of an additional slab. The field measurements and installation were handled by Duri. Duri was extremely precise in his measurements, taking special care in areas of high visibility to accurately measure to ensure a tight fit at all wall intersections. On installation day, they showed up early to the job and were extremely careful in moving appliances out of the way. The installation was flawless and efficient. The fit of the countertops was a sight of perfection on the cabinets. Modern Marble and Granite fabricators are extremely professional, detailed oriented, and a high customer service organization. The granite is absolutely gorgeous, the fit is perfect, and the Team was the best. I could not be happier with my dealings on every aspect of Modern Marble and Granite. Finally, the only thing I can say is if you hire anybody other than Modern Marble and Granite, you are not getting the best team to design and install your job, because there is nobody better than Modern Marble and Granite. Thank You Halil, Nuri, and Team. You all are FANTASTIC!!!

We shopped around for a new countertops and this included talking to a company we previously used and liked. We decided to use Modern Marble & Granite for a number of reasons. Their staff was extremely friendly. I can't stress this enough. From the woman in the showroom to the gentleman who cut the slabs. There was no upsell, no pressure, and they were extremely informative. The installer was so kind and wanted to make sure we understood everything about the process. One of the best experiences with a contractor from a communication standpoint at every phase. The process itself was super easy. We didn't make an appointment. We just showed up at the showroom, told them what we were interested in, they showed us numerous slabs in varying styles, and we picked one. We scheduled a date for demolition about a week after and the installation date was two days after demolition. Within eleven days after walking into their showroom we had brand new countertops in our house. Their craftsmanship was impeccable. We required the use of two full slabs for our square footage, about 86sq. feet. The seams are imperceptible even though we have veining throughout. They were able to use continuous pieces and cut the pieces so the veins matched on either side of the seam. During demolition they didn't damage any of the existing backsplash. They provided removal and plumbing services and didn't gouge us like the quotes we got from other places. Professional. Courteous. Great price. I honestly couldn't have had a better experience. Highly recommend this company.

I was recommended to MM&G by my contractor when doing a kitchen update last year, and so glad he did. They have a great selection of of slabs in different materials, all for pretty reasonably price per sq foot, which generally includes material labor and installation (maybe extra fee for cut out). Emine and Can at the store are friendly and patient, as I took a really long time to decide what I wanted. Nuri and his team were able to fabricate one of the larger parts of countertop in one slab and just get it into the elevator so there were no seams. I have recommended them to friends and family and have gone back to them 3 more times for other projects.

These guys are terrific and I found their pricing the most competitive. I live in Texas but own a home in Alexandria so I had to make all my arrangements over the phone to put new counters in my kitchen. Emine was fantastic, professional and prompt sending samples, arranging measurements etc. as was their installer (forget his name). They handled everything including the plumber and new sink promptly and without a hitch. Highly recommend them. Emine had to make a lot of extra effort since I did this long distance and is a "gem". They're lucky to have her.

I used Modern Marble & Granite in 2017 to do the counters in my kitchen. They did a large (10' x 4') island with a 4" mitered edge, along with the remaining counters. Beautiful work, and the island was not easy--it took 9 men to lift it and set it into place, with 1/8" tolerance to fit onto the support truss. Very well done. I just used them again to do a tub surround for a new bathroom remodel. Again, they came out and did a meticulous measurement, made some recommendations, and came back 2 days later to install it. They will be doing another vanity top for me shortly. Great prices, professional installation crew, and good coordination from the front office.

Date of service 1/2018. I have been meaning to write a review for awhile as Modern Marble & Granite truly provided great service on my quartzite countertops. They helped me choose the location of my slabs and arranged them such that the pattern really looks beautiful. I would never have been able to do such a great job with the layout on my own. They were very professional and skilled. Also, the price was fair (not significantly lower or higher than others). I was initially worried because their business is small but in the end, I feel I benefited from their personalized touch and years of experience. I am happy I chose this company.

I loved working with these folks. They were endlessly patient with my indecisiveness. All of the stones were so beautiful I couldn't decided! Eminy was very responsive and helpful and I never felt rushed or pressured to decide. When I finally did decide, the installation was quick and impeccable. When remodeling my kitchen, I shopped around for the best pricing on quartz countertops... From experience, you get what you pay for! I found another company with a slightly lower price and good reviews and it was a nightmare!!! Had to fire them half way through the process and in the mean time had no sink or countertop for 2 weeks! I contacted Modern Marble again and Eminy was super responsive, they came out within a couple days to take measurements and within a few days after that, I had my new countertop and sink installed! We were hosting our daughters 4th birthday party that weekend and he made sure we would have our countertop with plenty of time to spare. They were wonderful! Friendly, clean, professional, efficient and my countertop looks amazing! Fits like a glove against my walls and my sink cutout was to the tee! I would not hesitate to use them again.

I just bought a house and wanted to make a few custom changes to the kitchen, including new countertops. I shopped around a lot - looking at lots of places off Edsall Rd and using Yelp to find the highest reviewed stores, but Modern Marble & Granite offered me the best price for what I was looking for (about $1000 less all inclusive than everywhere else!). I have been extremely happy with both the purchase and installation process. Eminy, who does the sales and scheduling, is fantastic. She is very responsive to all of your questions, and helps you find what you are looking for. They had enough of an Arctic White quartz in stock to do my entire 85 sq ft project in quick order. They also have an existing contract with a plumber, which handy so you can get everything hooked back up quickly in a kitchen. They did a fantastic job - whereas my previous counters had three seams, they managed to do the job with only one seam. I highly recommend stopping by and seeing what they have should you be in the market for a kitchen remodel or stone work.

I first discovered Modern Marble & Granite through a contractor when replacing a bathroom vanity top. I went back to them again for a very small accent piece for a piece of furniture. For both projects, they had excellent customer service, a decent selection of slabs and a fair price. Not much more to say. All good!

While admiring my beautiful quartzite counters just now I thought to myself "huh. Never wrote that review!" I used them last year for kitchen renovation. They spent several visits with me pick out the right slab etc as people have said, and went out of their way to make suggestions in a low pressure but informative way. They came out to my house promptly to measure, and I was a little crestfallen that my beautiful splurge counters would have a sink seam (super tiny kitchen). Lo and behold, they showed up on install day with the whole piece intact! No seam- I was thrilled (although I hope I'm not setting anyone else up for disappointment). Prices were competitive with anywhere else I looked, and even better if I consider the service I got Otherwise, they were great about staying in contact and answering questions throughout the process (and I ask a LOT of questions). They also made me a cutting board out of the sink cutout at no charge!

This company deserves their five stars! Friendly but laid back sales staff that took the time to show me many slabs and really listened to my needs and wants in a countertop. Very competitive pricing and more personalized service than one would find in a big box store. The measurement tech was also the installation tech and he took the time to precisely measure and take size impressions of my area. We have an older home where the walls aren't perfectly straight and he was careful to take that into account. My chosen slab was a special order, but they were able to get it in a matter of days. Turnaround from measure to install was 10 days. The installation crew was on time, friendly, and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of our home. Payment policy was straightforward and uncomplicated. No funny business. Happy to recommend Modern Marble and Granite!

I used Modern Marble and Granite for jobs in two houses - my own and my parents'. If I had a third house I would use them for that too. The experience was wonderful. Picture walking in with a sample door or tile, having them take a look, and walking you to the perfect granite. Then picture walking around and looking at all the other granite and returning to their first choice, because it was, in fact, perfect. This happened to me twice. The shop staff and installation crew are charming, professional and efficient. The work is done quickly and beautifully and extra requests are handled graciously. In addition to counters, I had several small pieces made for both jobs - shower shelves and a bench in one case, a round table top in the other. Everything was delivered and installed perfectly and in amazingly short order. They had good advice on everything - edges appropriate to the job, type and sizes of sinks, plumbing, and when they had questions they called me in to consult. Their prices were quite reasonable, and both jobs look beautiful. I have already recommended Modern Marble and Granite to several people and would not go anywhere else.

In addition, the selection of beautiful slabs on site allows for convenient one-stop shopping. Nuri and his team had my countertop installed to perfection and my kitchen spotless in no time. The price was good, the work and product is beautiful, and the job was complete within hours, only days after I made the appointment. As you can see this business has really good reviews. I found Modern Marble and Granite on Yelp several weeks ago when searching for a reputable counter fabricator for my kitchen remodel...And boy and I am glad I did! They installed my marble counter tops yesterday and did a fabulous job. From start to finish, Halil and his crew were highly responsive from providing a bid in one day, being available to come measure and install on days that fit my schedule, and working up a sample piece for me which helped me to make a decision about look of counter. I installed a double stacked marble counter which turned out beautifully. I was concerned that I may notice where the pieces are stacked but it looks like one solid slab. I received 2 other bids from companies that have been around longer and, for using the same slab of marble, they came in 1000s of dollars more. I cannot imagine they could have done a better job. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend them to anyone,,,,

I cannot say enough good things about Modern marble and granite. I have been searching for a stone fabricator that was straightforward. I called several fabrocators and went to several stone warehouses-over the course of 2 months. I could never get anyone to give me a formal number with details for what I wanted at a price I could afford. I emailed Halil and he sent me a quote. I didn't believe it was true as it was so much less than what I was quoted by others. Everytime I switched from an original quote to mable with other fabircators, the quote went up. I tried this with Halil and in fact it went down!! Usually with less cost one gets less service but again this has not been the case. The service has been 5 star as well. I wish there was an option to give 10 stars. I'm a surgeon and cannot take off work easily to see the stone after Halil told me he was ordering it from another warehouse.. I told Halil what I wanted, honed carerra, and he got it in, texted me a picture and installed the stone. I was never there. No extra charge for honed surface. No extra charge for square edges. His installation guys met with me on a Saturday and were just as fantastic as Halil. Halil also saved me from making a bad mistake with my marble as I wanted drop in sinks but this would stain the marble. I found sinks with the ledges I wanted and installed them undermount. The service was # 1, the marble is amazing, and it took something that was a source of stress for me during my renovation and made it such a pleasure.

Modern Marble & Granite and Halil's crew were my favorite contractors in my complete home remodel of a 1928 DC row home. Their prices were straight forward (price per sq ft includes material, labor, and installation) which was refreshing since so many slab yards skirt around the price. Halil walked the yard with me and explained that I should go with a granite for my kitchen instead of marble bc granite is more durable and you don't have to worry about staining. We ended up finding a Gardenia White granite with subtle burgundy coloring. Although it does not look like marble, it is a lighter color for my small galley kitchen and makes the space look more open. The crew showed up right on time for measurement day, which took about 20 minutes. They were also on time for installation and were done in about 2 hours. They were uber professional and even sealed my granite after they installed it, telling me to seal it twice a year in the future. Halil was also patient with me as my remodel took longer than expected and my cabinet installation (they need cabinets 100% installed to measure then they install within 5 days of measurement) kept getting delayed. Halil held on to the slab I chose for about 2 months with ni deposit and I was very appreciative! I knew exactly what I was getting. I also purchased a 24" stainless steal sink from them and they under mounted it. Made my life easier since sometimes under mount sinks are harder to come. Save yourself the time and go to Modern Marble & Granite for your counter needs. They also do vanity tops/sinks as well. When I am ready to do my bathroom I will be calling them back.

My husband and I wanted new granite counter top for our condo. We compared this place to others and they were by far the most cost effective- - also they didn't try to tack on additional services that we didn't need to add to the overall cost (which we really appreciated.) The guys were helpful, friendly and patient with us while we made our decisions about color, cut etc. Installation was done in 2 hours and they did not leave a mess. Whats not to love?!

I am remodeling my basement and I didn't like the pricey guy my contractor used. I called Modern Marble and Granite to get a quote. They came out the next day, measured and gave me a fantastic price. I needed a kitchen countertop, a long bar top, a vanity top and a shower seat. Nuri even suggested I do the shower transition and threshold in granite. I'm so glad he did, because looks beautiful and ties everything together. On the day of installation, my contractor hadn't showed up to install the vanity, so Nuri did it for me. I will definitely use them again on my next project.

We own a construction company here in DC, Karma Home Designs. We use Modern Marble and Granite for all our granite, quartz and countertop needs. We have been friends for years, but always business partners first. We wouldn't use anybody else except these guys. Their expertise and quality of products are beyond reasonable in price and they go above and beyond to help out clients get the satisfaction in the products they want.

I would've given them negative 100 if yelp would allow me that option. Cabinets we ordered were delayed for 2 weeks. Someone with common sense would've given us a call to give us heads up but no.....no one at this establishment seem to have any....We had little chips and dings on our cabinets....yea yea yea....our contractor could've caused it while they were installing the cabinets but someone could have stopped by and fixed this minor dings to provide some service but apparently - there is NO additional service they offered except to tell us that there's a little repair kit that came with our cabinets.....Now - it gets better....Our cabinets were missing corner moldings.....for $6400 - how the heck can you NOT include even a standard molding that closes our kitchen island....And why the heck did you not mention this while we were at the store purchasing the cabinets. Do you guys ALWAYS sell your cabinets without providing end piece to close out the gaps? If so - that's crazy! Now - this gets better....Wife called the owner of the store....His name is Nouri or something....Dude was saying he could not give us the corner molding piece because we decided not to use them to do the counter tops....Why in the word would we want to use your service and products when your service and products are never delivered on time and it costs 40% more than what I paid for at the other wonderful place where I would do my next project on.....Owner said we would haver to pay him $60 dollars to haver someone come out and install the corner piece to mend the gaps in our kitchen island....REALLY? for 60 bucks - you are going to end your relationship with a potential client who could give you more future businesses? And this Nouri guy was so fired up on the phone - could not lower his voice and kept on shouting on the phone saying you guys went somewhere else to get your counter tops so I can't give you this last piece to close out the gaps.....HAHAH!!!!! with his heavy accent and him mumbling on the phone - I didn't want to waste my precious time talking to someone with ZERO common sense and someone who wanted to rip me off with counter tops....Thank god we want with someone else who got us better slab of Quartz at better price. I would avoid this place like a plaque unless you want to get taken advantage of your hard earned money.....Nouri - if you are reading this....Youtube some videos on how to provide better customer service and DO NOT yell and shout on the phone with your current and future clients moving forward. Folks who are reading this review - make sure you are shopping around and get estimates from different establishments. This place was trying to sell me SAME quartz counter tops for $2K more than what I ended up paying at this other joint. Save your money and try different place folks. Ok - have a great day :)

I wish I could give zero stars. We used Modern Marble at the request of our contractor for a kitchen remodel. It turned out to be a terrible move all around. Perhaps because we didn't seek out the fabricator on our own, we were treated rudely/ignored at worst and treated curtly at best. The field measurement was abrupt and didn't template the entire kitchen, the installers never showed on their scheduled time and then came late after insistence by our contractor and rushed the install, and the counters were flawed (just two examples: existing chip in one long piece; one short piece was more than 1/2 inch longer wall to walkway than the rest of the counters). When we requested a fix, the team appeared bemused, brushed aside warranty questions, and never followed up by email as they said they would. Last, every time they came in, they left a mess behind and actually broke the drawer on the new range. Basic courtesies like introductions, placing plastic or a dropcloth, and clearly explaining options to first-time remodelers do not appear to be in the MMG wheelhouse.

I can't speak of their work, because I'm not going to use them. I've called twice for questions. The same girl answered. The first time I asked about turnaround time. She answered quickly and asked if that was all. Kinda not nice, but I figured she was busy. Had my GPS set today, and wanted to call to ask about slabs in stock... she answered quickly and I said great. "See ya soon". She hung up on me. So, I'll regroup.
