Their own imported stone was as lovely as anything. Gary is the owner and you speak directly with him. The showroom out in Pittsburg isn't fancy--it's a working fabrication space. There is choice of granite, quartz and quartzite and he will give you a good sized sample to take with you and see in your space. Gary comes with the crew when they measure and make the template for your countertops. The next visit is with the stone you chose and they install it. Everything is done expertly and correctly the first time. If I had questions, they were answered directly and before any final fabricating was done. Price was very fair and I am completely happy. They are nice, personable people as well. Highly recommended and will use them again.

We recently moved into a home that had a 25 year old kitchen that needed to be remodeled. We hired Gary and his crew from Hung Hsi Stone based on all the 5 star recommendations that we read on Yelp. We decided on new cabinets, quartz countertops, bar counter and backsplash, sink and appliance installation. First off, Gary and his company are the most attentive and courteous and professional we have ever hired. We feel so fortunate to have hooked up with them. After the initial consult and agreement was signed and scheduled, they came when they said they would without delay and explained every step along the project. They worked in a very timely manner and finished the job within a few weeks as agreed with minimum inconvenience to us. If we had questions or concerns Gary was always available and took care of them right away. We are beyond ecstatic with the service we received and the way our newly remodeled kitchen looks! It's even better than we imagined. We would not hesitate to use them again in the future for any of our remodeling needs. We have been homeowners for more than 40 years and have had many contractors and repairmen over the years and Gary and the Hung Hsi Stone Co. have been the most friendly, reliable and professional service we have ever had.

Hung Hsi installed quartz countertops and backsplash for our 2020 kitchen remodel which also included refinishing our exiting cabinets (90's honey oak vintage) with another vendor. We worked directly with Gary, owner/project manager, from start to finish. I found Gary a pleasure to work with and I can tell you he knows what he's doing and pays attention to every detail. He has a large warehouse in Pittsburg full of quality stones which are competitively priced. I am writing this review several years later because I wanted to see how the product would hold up - happy to report that the countertops look brand new and are very easy to maintain. Also, I had a recent issue with a gap between my sink and countertop which Gary and his team came out and quickly fixed at no charge. Hung Hsi stands behind their work! The attached pictures attest to the high standards of craftsmanship that you can expect from Hung Hsi.

Gary goes above and beyond. His 5* rating on Yelp is well deserved. He and his crew from his company, Hung His Stone Center installed quartz counters In our kitchen and sink and faucet. Gary came out himself to measure and showed up every day that his crew did to check on the work. His crew did an impeccable job and the way they cut everything was a work of art. Everything fit beautifully and they were always on time and left everything very neat, so neat that they did not even damage our wall paper or cabinets even a little, which we had accepted could happen. Gary was very easy to work with, attentive to what we wanted and accommodated our schedule. When my new faucet came out of the box defective, he took it out and went to a big box store and came back and installed the new faucet, on his day off so we wouldn't have to go an extra day without water! Not only that, he told me he would take out the faucet he had just installed and put back the replacement of the faucet I had originally ordered if I still wanted it! This is above and beyond the kind of service we see these days. What an amazing work ethic. I would use him again on any project and I will recommend him to everyone I know without reservation.

Over the course of 3 years, I've renovated 1 kitchen and 2 bathrooms through Hung Hsi. The owner-operator, Gary, is always easy to work with and accommodating of renovation needs. There is a variety of stone surfaces and basic cabinetry to chose from at the warehouse. You can always supplement with tiles/stone/ woodwork from other shops too. I have purchased materials from other stores/vendors and had Gary's crew do the installation as well. Either way, the price and professionalism were always excellent. Any issues or problems were always addressed and resolved.

So what's new aside from me being off the Yelp grid time and again? Well, it's our kitchen! My wife and I embarked on a 4-month journey to get rid of our ceramic-tiled countertop along with the faded oak cabinets and badly-damaged enameled sink. We cannot afford the contractor bids for a complete kitchen renovation so we decided to go the DIY route most of the way except for the countertop installation. We were at Pittsburg checking out a different countertop shop when my wife saw Hung Hsi Stone Center with a solid 5-star rating on Yelp. We had time to spare so we decided to head over here and get a quote. We met Gary, the owner, who was very easy to talk to. We gave him our measurements, he showed us sample materials, and he let us continue roaming around while he went back to his office to calculate the cost. Gary's quote was not the lowest we received but we chose him because we felt comfortable with him. He had no issues if we wanted to do the prep work and he even gave us pointers on how we can do the job better especially with the installation of the farmhouse sink. His availability to install (3 week-lead time) will allow us to finish our part so timing was perfect, too. We chose one of the Calacatta patterns, paid half the total price for one slab and two matching pre-fabricated quartz countertops, and went home very happy. Gary came with three workers and they did an outstanding job with the install. It was also our first time seeing our stones so Gary ensured we will enjoy where the veins will appear once they are done. They custom-cut the slab for our 41" x 86" peninsula then tailored the prefab ones for the sink, stove, and butler's pantry. Our walls were not perfectly square so that posed a bit of a challenge for them. But with their experience, everything was done to our satisfaction. We saved a lot from the project that we were able to install new floors, too! We did the countertop demolition, prep work, installation of the sink and plumbing, cabinet refacing, and backsplash installation. Thanks to Gary and his team for filling in the missing piece. We love our new quartz countertops!

Hung Hsi Stone Center specializes in kitchen and bathroom stones whether natural or engineered. We were at Pittsburg checking out another stone distributor for our kitchen renovation when I found this establishment via Yelp search. When something has a solid 5-star rating, it needs to be checked out. We have been slowly chipping away at our project and we were down to the countertop installation. We have narrowed down our choices to two contractors, but we still could not decide on the stone. We met the owner, Gary, right before closing time on a Saturday afternoon. He showed us around and introduced us to his products. He needed a two week-window to order the stone and then get it scheduled for installation the following week. My husband and I took some time in the car to discuss things and decided to go with Gary. Why? He was so easy to talk to and was willing to work with a DIY couple. He was not too picky like the others and gave us pointers on how to prepare everything prior to installation. We ordered one of his Calacatta stones - one slab for our peninsula and two 26-inch prefabricated kitchen counter stones. Gary stopped by our home to make sure we have enough material. It was not the final measurement as they will be doing it onsite. It took them around five hours because our kitchen walls are not perfectly square. They had to do some adjustments to make the pieces fit and we were very happy with the outcome. We used to have a bar area which we decided to remove and get it leveled with the counter giving us a 41" x 86" peninsula. The veins on the stones were beautiful as they made sure the design will appear where it mattered most. We totally liked the thick vein next to our farmhouse sink. With the countertop installed, we still had to do the backsplash. It has been a journey for my husband and I, but we were glad to have done it the way we did. Installing the countertop was not something we can DIY so we let the expert handle it. Thanks to Gary and his team!

The Hung Hsi Stone Center team was a prayer answered to remodel our very old and outdated kitchen. For years we wanted to remodel. Our kitchen was severely outdated with tile countertops, linoleum floors and outdated cabinets. Visited several kitchen showrooms and narrowed our choices down to Hung Hsi Stone Center and another company. Hung Hsi Stone Center had the best estimate and great Yelp reviews so we decided to move forward with them. We could not have been happier with our kitchen transformation. Gary helped to give us our dream kitchen. His and his team did an EXCELLENT job. Gary's team installed our kitchen cabinets and our beautiful quartzite countertop. Gary came to our home to take measurements and discussed the cabinet's layout within a week of calling him. Gary provided a very competitive price quote for the cabinets, cabinets installation and countertop installation. He also provided a quote for back splash demo along with appliance and backsplash installation. We LOVE our newly installed cabinets. The cabinets are solid wood framed full face white Shaker style with solid wood doors, plywood construction, dovetail joints, full extension drawers with soft closures. This was standard with the style we selected! The Hung Hsi Center team did an awesome job installing our cabinets and countertop. Gary and his team are professional, courteous and extremely skilled in their execution. Also used great safety precautions during the pandemic. We have gotten so many compliments on our new kitchen. If I could give Gary more than 5 stars, I would. We had our kitchen remodeled in early November and he helped us in designing and ordering our cabinets. They turned out beautiful. I had gone with someone else for installation but there was a section that our contractor did that didn't come out right so I asked Gary if he would be willing to come out and fix it. He did and it turned out great! I will definitely be reaching out to him when the time comes that we decide to remodel our bathrooms. His crew of Mack Russell Florentino Junior Tony and his son and then there was the wonderful sheet rock expert Miguel who also did a wonderful job of taking down my popcorn ceiling taking it down and finishing it in two days total The job that they did was so over the top top of the line such talented workers such nice people wonderful crew! And then he also brought Electrician's to the job that's another thing you'll notice Gary has all the subcontractors in his own crew that you'll ever need for anything that you need done! What can I say, I LOVE my countertops from Hung Hsi Stone Center. I received multiple quotes and found Gary the most easy to work with without BS. The BBQ in this picture was designed and built by me, but when it came time to select a countertop surface, I got a bunch of quotes for granite installation, ultimately choosing Hung Hsi Stone Center. Gary's team did a great job on my BBQ. His guys were pretty quiet and just got the job done. Gary checked in on them a couple times, once near the beginning and once again when they were done. I'm really happy with the results! Gary thought about what I wanted and ended up designing the granite to minimize the number of slabs I would need. I appreciate efficiently like that! We are thrilled with our new quartz countertops and tile backsplash in our kitchen! Gary was incredibly helpful and responsive. His team worked quickly to get everything installed. We were able to purchase our own sink, faucet and backsplash and his team was happy to install it. They got our kitchen back up and running as quickly as possible. We had a couple of small bumps in the road, but Gary came by every time to provide resolution until we were 100% satisfied. Would absolutely hire Gary again for future countertop installation. Thanks for a wonderful job!

I think our countertop is more custom than what Gary expected or is used to installing. There are some minor flaws that owners would notice and guests will not but it turned out very nice overall! If you are on a budget for granite I would recommend Gary and crew!
