We had heard good reports about this store from friends. We went to get an estimate and was treated very well! Very friendly, professional people! The gentleman, Ryan came to do the measurements. He gave us a lot of valuable information and answered all our questions. The young men who came to do the installation were extremely good at their job. You cannot even see where they had to join 2 slabs together. They did everything possible to do the job well and succeeded!
One of the main reasons we chose Granite Mountain is the fact that they do it all! They sell the granite slabs, do the measurements, mill and install the granite, which makes the process so much easier. We are so happy with this job!

I don't usually review businesses, but after lots of research and looking for a stone supplier, I had an amazing experience at Granite Mountain. They were priced reasonably (same or less than Lowes/Home Depot) and were much faster. The people were amazing to work with from the showroom to the measuring appointment and the final installation. Above all, the final fabricated countertops were 100% perfect (and I'm a perfectionist, so I expected to have some things that bothered me after seeing it installed). Since this is one of the only showroom/fabrication/installation shops in the greater Fresno area, you will get a one-stop solution and caring people with you ever step of the way.

Really happy with the service and quality from Granite Mountain Stone design. Rosie put a lot of time into working with me to get the piece I needed for my outdoor kitchen, and then when I picked it up and it was slightly too wide, she was more than helpful to me to get it fixed so it would work perfectly. when something doesn't go exactly as planned, that's when businesses can really shine, and Granite Mountain Stone design did really well by me. the stone is really good quality, and it looks absolutely amazing.

We had the greatest experience with Laura and Granite Mountain. We just got our granite installed and it is beautiful. Laura has been there through all of it and the whole company has kept up to their timelines. The installers were very professional and took their time with our old ‘50’s house walls. Don’t shop around, just deal with the best! One stop shop is what sold me!

I loved these guys and they have a huge selection and upfront pricing. Super friendly, detailed, efficient and professional. They are the best of the best, if you can afford these guys I would definely recommend. I paid twelve thousand from start to finish and they put granite on my island and made my center island 18 inches larger ... They put granite around those 1990s glass bricks backsplash Again it was seamless and looked amazing and probably added 30000.00 to my home even tho I paid $12000. This included consultation, someone very professional measured his little heart out, poor guy, it came out amazing. Then I guess they made the granite and scheduled w me like two weeks later and BAM my kitchen was modern! I loved the quality service and professionalism They were also kind and homey (mountain hospitality). Best Business 2024 and if I had more jobs I would not hesitate to use them again!

Over a year ago we started the process to remodel our bathroom. I knew I was going to have the vanity cabinet custom built so had to look for a counter top. After going to big box stores, various granite showrooms, etc. I came across Granite Mountain. We were met by Rosie who was very helpful, answered my questions and showed us slabs of material. After a couple of visits, I picked a brushed quartz piece and Rosie tagged it as sold. For various reasons, our project was delayed over and over. I kept going back concerned about the delay and was assured it wasn't a problem. Each time I continued to ask questions, Rosie was very patient and helpful. Communication with Rosie via email was always prompt and courteous.
When we were finally ready to start the project, our contractor worked with Granite Mountain regarding the project, as well as delivery and installation. The counter top was fabricated perfectly and installed by Granite Mountain.
It's beautiful! Thank you, Rosie, and fabrication/installation crew!

Step 1- pick granite and get the ball rolling for installation was a pleasure thanks to Rosie! Rosie was a great help; she answered our questions, was patient, and made sure we saw the full range of beautiful granite their location had to offer. We are pleased about how quickly someone will be able to come out and measure/ make templates. We're excited for the next steps of this process.

These folks are pros and the company is a part of the Raymond granite quarry, a local quarry that is a part of history. All the granite for San Francisco City Hall and other grand civic buildings in California came from here, so just to start, you are part of a grand history when you come here. The show room is beautiful with samples of stone from around the world. It is in front of the huge warehouse where they have all their state of the art stone cutting machines and you can see the action through the windows. Service was excellent from sales through the templater who comes out to take exact measurements with lasers to the installers who arrived with masks only two weeks after our visit to the showroom to install or beautiful counters. We had a small miscommunication about the back splash - if you want one to match the counters you have to tell them, it's not automatic. But the templater caught that when he came and the backsplash is just perfect. So, even if there is a glitch, they very professionally help you through it. No place better to get your counters.

I needed a granite countertop for a stone island I was having built on my patio, with the stone matching my fireplace. I showed Laura Watson a picture of my fireplace and she immediately led me to a gorgeous slab of granite, which is very similar to the countertops in my kitchen. I was very pleased, especially since she dissuaded me from quartz for an outside placement due to sun damage which I did not know about. When they came to do the template the guy pointed out that the stonemason had not finished his job, with lumps on the top edges where the granite would go, so I was able to get him back to finish. The installation was perfect. It is just a gorgeous addition to my patio, and the whole process was smooth and very customer oriented. Highly recommend!

WOW! The best customer service in town. They have a beautiful showroom with an excellent variety of granite and quartz. Friendly and helpful staff. We ordered some beautiful quartz. It was installed and there were some issues. The owner came out to our house to see the problem and by the end of the day the piece of quartz was removed to be replaced. The next day the owner called and told us they didn't have enough from the same lot to fix that one section, so they agreed to replace the entire countertop plus give us backsplash. We highly recommend Granite Mountain for your countertop needs. Quality product, quality service and they stand behind their work. If I could give 10 stars I would!

We purchased some granite from Granite Mountain. The process was ok - there were a lot of questions, and I had to dig for answers. When we purchased the granite, they installed it, and there was a 42" crack/fisher that spanned the island. It was a nightmare come to life, because it looked terrible, and my wife and I couldn't fathom why they would place the cut of our island to highlight that fisher. We never saw the layout before installation. We didn't even know that was possible until after the granite was installed - shame on the fabricator for not advising us of that, admittedly so, we were noobs and had no idea. Well, we ended up contacting them, and explained our issue... Their sales coordinator, Crystal, was truly a huge help, and super supportive of everything. The owner ended up contacting us, and sent out his project manager, Julio, to see what we were talking about. Julio was also very nice, and had our best interest in favor. Julio had agreed to either pull out the granite completely, and refund us, or try to replace the island since they had another slab from the same batch. We went with the replacement option, it's what we wanted in the first place. Long story short, Granite Mountain held true to their word, and replaced the defective slab. We now have the most beautiful granite. Literally, we had gone to every single granite shop, and Granite Mountain had THE best granite - and also provided 3cm slabs. I'm giving them four stars because while everything worked out, and they actually did care about us as a customer, the entire process was difficult. 4 stars because they actually did do a good job, when all was said and done. What originally started at a -100 stars, turned out great. It took a long time, but I am happy with GM and their team. The only thing I can suggest to GM, is to explain the process a little better, and all possibilities in detail. From a user perspective - my wife and I knew nothing about how this all worked from conception to completion, but only knew we wanted granite countertops. Now that we have learned how everything works, and the process of how it all comes together, I would have really enjoyed the experience a lot more if I had known what I was in for, from scheduling, to templating, to fabricatio, to installation - and how the entire process flows together.

Might be the best at granite countertops but I will never know. Appt. with Julio at the beautiful showroom, great service. We set up a time to check out my project. I don't have much time off from work so it was kind of a big deal for me to set up a Friday. 9Am appt. wife was going out of town and wanted to be there for the appt. 915 called and Julio said he was 15 min out in Clovis. I was home for the next 4 hours with no call or text. Wife left a VM.
Pretty inconsiderate to just no show and not give me a heads up.

We recommend confirming the actual timeframe directly by submitting a request, calling, or messaging the contractor through our website.
How long does it take Granite Mountain Stone Design to prepare a quote for countertop fabrication and installation?
According to our research, Granite Mountain Stone Design in Madera, CA prepared the project estimate within 42 days. After a phone conversation, our mystery shopper sent a quote request to the company representative, based on a completed 83.4-square-foot countertop project, and received a detailed estimate for the fabrication and installation. This turnaround time allowed us to classify the company in the category with a very slow quote preparation speed.
Please note that estimate preparation times may vary depending on the company’s current workload, the complexity of your project, and the selected material. We recommend submitting a request, calling, or messaging the company through our website to receive a personalized quote and clarify the current turnaround time.
Does Granite Mountain Stone Design offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Granite Mountain Stone Design performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Granite Mountain Stone Design provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Granite Mountain Stone Design, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Granite Mountain Stone Design in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
