Very happy to have met Rebecca and Mike. Our previous wood floor installer for our stairs backed out on us a few weeks before we were having a big event in our house. They were able to step in, source the product and organize installation all within a few weeks before the big event. They were professional, prompt, communicated and were very helpful. We just purchased hardwood flooring from Mike from the Floor Store and they did an amazing job - the installation was seamless and the guys he had installing the floor were second to none. We also redid our fireplace and worked with Floor store for that installation as well - another amazing job! They left everything perfect and no detail was overlooked! The people in the store are friendly. They're not pushy at all. They listen to you then pull out samples for things that you might like. They don't try to push you into upgrades or into things that you didn't ask for. So I found it to be a very nice calm experience. The workers who came out and did our flooring were fast, efficient, and professional. And the work was done to the highest quality. We have zero complaints and will definitely use them again!

decided to go with LVP in two guest rooms vs the smelly carpet currently in there (we just moved in). the estimate was thorough and they scheduled the work easily. they were on time the two days it would take for the project and were very neat. they were good and careful with moving our furniture as well. Encinitas Floor Store and Design Center came to the rescue and re-did our floors after an unfortunate house flood. They were so professional, responsive and cost effective!! They got an amazing price on the flooring we wanted (which was cheaper than the wholesale quote we got). Our new flooring was an upgrade to what we had previously and we couldn't be happier. Christy was an amazing coordinator, keeping everything on track while I was in the midst of insurance claim chaos. Her compassion and professionalism was so helpful through that trying (and emotional) time... and the entire floor team was fast, efficient and did an amazing job that exceeded our expectations. We could not be happier with our flooring. They suggested things we wouldn't have even thought of and made the beautiful hardwood flooring seamless throughout our home. The Floor Store is the place to go for floors ... and more! We had an excellent experience replacing our flooring with very real-looking wood-plank vinyl tile. What's more, Joe McDonough helped coordinate the change-out of our shower tub to a walk-in shower. This place is actually cheaper than Costco, and better, since we had had Costco also bid on the project. We are extremely pleased and highly recommend this establishment for flooring needs.

These guys are awesome! We had a slab leak which resulted in removing the drywall, weeks of mitigation to remove the moisture and the wood flooring had to be all removed throughout. We didn't know where to start but luckily found Floor Store and Design, Encinitas. They provided a drywall installer, painter and an excellent floor installation team. Second job by Floor Store. After they had done the majority of my house, I was left with a very ugly front room. Floor Store came and demoed out my columns, the travertine floor, and replaced it with the same floor that was in the rest of the house, flowing seamlessly. This is a 23 year old house and people who come here think it's brand new. This was a circular room, and had to blend with the existing flooring and the hallways. As you can see the workmanship was excellent.. As always, this company is a delight to work with, with fair prices and outstanding customer service, which makes the whole process a pleasure. I can't recommend them highly enough.

We worked with Rebecca to add new carpet and baseboards to two bedrooms and a closet. The carpet product is beautiful and well-priced. Rebecca let us take samples home to pick out the carpet. Getting our spaces measured happened within days, very efficiently. The quote was accurate. Scheduling for installation was easy, and the installation team did great work. Thrilled with our new carpet, and will definitely go back to see this business when we are ready for new wood floors next year.

Great experience all around. Rebecca was especially helpful not only in selecting floors but also during the install process. We had a vinyl install gone wrong 2 years ago with another company and Mike and Rebecca came to the rescue. We opted for hardwood this time and also put commercial carpet in our workout room. I especially liked that they own the flooring store and also do install. Others we looked into installed only and referred us to separate stores to shop for flooring. This was a turnkey project and would definitely use them again.

We worked with Christy and the Floor Store team to get a quote for stairs & carpet in our subterranean space to replace old carpet that had really become worn over the years. They were able to quote us the project both as a combo and as separate projects. Due to our schedules, we decided to do them separately. We're super happy with how the stairs have turned out -- and Julio, the installer, was very communicative and thorough in his work. He even took the time to pick specific pieces of wood to get the 'closest' match to the next floors wood. Well done! Encinitas Flooring did an excellent job in my Carlsbad two-level condo, with a high quality installation of luxury vinyl throughout, removing old flooring and leveling as needed, installation of new contemporary baseboards, and sourcing carpeting for my stairs and white quartz replacement kitchen counters and sub-contracting out that installation. I had such an amazing experience with the Floor Store in Encinitas. They were helpful in the store and when I found the flooring I liked I was able to have it installed within a few weeks. The installers worked so hard and finished the job in 1 1/2 days instead of 3-4. Unfortunately, I chipped the floor board within a week or two and David, came and fixed it for free (he was awesome!). Everyone was so accommodating, professional, and friendly. I'll be back next year to do my loft! Highly recommend them!

Super thrilled with Encinitas Flooring Store - it's been extremely difficult to get any contractor to respond and if they do, then it's difficult to get a quote, and even harder to get them to show up! From the design store all the way to the finish line, we were happy with this company. The owner did the measuring and when he came out to the house he found the exact match to our current floors so that everything now looks seamless. We scheduled months in advance and had a small window of time for the work to be complete - this crew made it happen! They stayed late, until 9 PM to meet our deadline. The next morning they showed up to tidy up and finish caulking. They cleaned up as they went and were extremely polite. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for flooring and a great experience!

The Flooring Store & Design Center added wood floors to our master bedroom/walk in closet, and carpeting to 2 bedrooms. We were challenged because we had gorgeous wood flooring throughout the remainder of the house that was added 5 years earlier, but the product had been discontinued. It was a unique and difficult floor to match. Rebecca and Mike worked very hard to find the closest match existing, looking at scores of samples with us against our own flooring to find the closest possible match. Every time we had any concerns there were here in minutes to address them. Mike and Rebecca are sensitive to price concerns, and moreover are creative in price-solving solutions. Their very skilled workers were phenomenal, some of the best we've worked with in skill, integrity and friendliness. Our home is perfect and we can't thank them enough.

After checking out Home Depot, I also wanted to speak with a local company. We decided that carpet was best for our bedrooms and knew we wanted wool. The Floor Store has great wool options and was very knowledgeable. They were quick and easy to work with. I found the prices comparable to HD. The wool is awesome! It took me months to get this simple project completed - new carpet for stairs and a guest room - but Anna stayed with me, gently sending me reminders and just checking in with me. Based on the strong recommendation of an interior designer I know I checked out the Floor Store when we were ready to put new floors in our home. Anna and Derrick were honest, knowledgeable and courteous as we navigated through different vinyl tile options. The crew that did the install was great.
