We were very pleased with the exceptional customer service that Michelle at Emerald Tile & Stone provided. The admin staff there are courteous and efficient. Most important of all, the work they have done at our house has been fantastic. We had them install a new hearth, mantel and stone from floor to ceiling for our new fireplace. The latest job they did for us was they came out on very short notice to repair/replace broken and cut tiles on our master bathroom tub. I would highly recommend Emerald Tile & Stone for all of your tile and stonework projects.

This is a wonderful family owned business. I ordered new IKEA cabinets and appliances to renovate my kitchen! I hired Emerald Tile to do the initial demolition, which also included lowering a bar area, all eletrical and plumbing necessities. After cabinets were installed by IKEA, Emerald cut and installed a new quartz countertop and a brushed marble brick backsplash ! It was wonderful to watch these professionals at work. I was always informed as to the arrival times of the workers. I highly recommend this company and their outstanding workers. They genuinely care about the final product!

First, I have to say how beautiful our countertop & backsplash look. I couldn't be happier. Matt came recommended by our cabinet builder, Phil. He was on time to meetings, always answered my questions, and was never annoyed at my many changes. All employees who came to our home were very professional, reliable, knowledgeable, and friendly. I have never worked with a company that comes to the house to make a template of the countertop, then fabricates it in their shop, and when it's delivered for installation......IT FITS PERFECT!! I just can't say enough about this process and the people involved. True professionals. I highly recommend Matt and his team. You will love the end result.

I did an outdoor kitchen, which obviously involved plumbing, drain hook ups, natural gas hook up, electric, quartzite counters, etc. They also did the most beautiful ledge stone tile on 3 walls. Matt, Tim, John and Jose were always courteous, and ready to address any concerns I had. They were always on time, did a great job on clean-up, and made good suggestions. I've done so many construction/remodel projects with lots of different contractors, and I would put Matt and his team (along with MJB) at the top of my list.

I am a contractor in Davis. I have worked with Emerald Tile and Stone on several jobs now and I give them very high marks indeed. Communication, workmanship, and professionalism are all performed to a very high standard. The first job included floating stone shelves (yes - floating stone shelves). They didn't bat an eye. Michelle, Amy, José and the installation crew were all great. They were all very easy to work with, did an outstanding job and - as previously stated - communicated clearly and efficiently. As a remodel contractor I have enough problems. I don't need subcontractors to add to my problem list. Emerald Tile and Stone solves my problems, they don't create more. Oh - and they did this great work for a very reasonable price relative to other shops. Top notch crew.

Emerald tile and Stone...is more then just Tile and Stone. I was very happy to use them for my completed my kitchen remodel. Matt returned emails and in a timely manor. He was patient with me, as I made changes to the project on a whim. His staff was timely, courteous and knowledgeable! I am more then happy with their service and would highly recommend them to anyone for a remodel!

The best of the best. They cut and installed a marble fireplace hearth for my home and did an incredible job. Responsive, great pricing, detailed and quick follow up, and personable/professional installation teams. They even recommended us to a granite/marble source that specialized in leftover material and it saved us a huge amount of money on the marble. 10/10

This is as good as it gets - these guys are pros; they come when they say they will, they provide expert advice; they get in and get out and leave the place spotless; if there's ever a problem they bend over backwards to make sure they make it right; even if there's a question about who did what, they make it right. I've used them for marble showers, and tile back splash installation and they do a GREAT job. They will ALWAYS get my business, and are worth a premium (if there is one) over lower bids. Several years ago, Emerald Tile did a beautiful job on our remodel of the master bath and a large entry way floor. They were professional, courteous, and their work was gorgeous. The grout on the traveled areas of the entry way floor recently began to loosen. They came out within one week of my calling them to repair the grout at no charge. That is great customer service. I highly recommend this company. They have skilled craftsmen and they stand behind their beautiful product.

We had used Emerald Tile and Stone two times in the last four years. Both times they did a good job, but the communication between them and us left much more to be desired. Also we observed the communication internally between the different departments was very poor and at times non existent! This last experience we had will be the last time we will ever call on Emerald Tile and Stone. We called to make an appointment to have one of their representatives come out to survey and measure for new quartz kitchen countertops and backsplash. We had a 9:00am appointment which we were ready for, but this time they not only did not show up, they never bothered to call! I called their office and they just said the rep was out in the field. I guess they have a ton of projects and can completely ghost repeat customers without worrying about their reputation. Either way, there is no way we would refer this company to anyone! They have no concept of customer service.

Like one of the other reviewers, I tried to give Emerald Tile a shot at my business for a very simple job but they failed to even return my call. I call on Thursday 6/22 and emailed pictures of the job but never heard back. I called back on 6/27 and asked why I have not heard back. I am under a time crunch and need this job done. The assistant, McKayla blamed it on being busy. I am sorry but a phone call to let me know you are busy and can schedule a time to see it soon would have been good enough for me so being busy is no excuse because that level of professionalism takes 2 minutes. I told her since I am under the gun, if I don't get some kind of call today or any kind of update, I will have to leave a bad yelp review or something. Now it gets better. Within 10 minutes, I get a call back from Matt who, instead of being professional, starts to blame me for their lack of return calls. He said that he just downloaded the pictures yesterday afternoon. Still, that is another day lost from downloading the pictures to returning my call. And he may have not returned my call had I not made the comment about Yelp. Then he goes on to tell me that he is going to decline my business and doesn't like the threats of bad reviews. This is a worthless company that is poorly operated from the top down. I don't care how great the work is. As an owner or contractor, you try to alleviate the situation, explain the delay in communication, and find a solution. You do not blame the customer and then decline the business. I am so happy to know business is going so well for them that they don't care if they upset customers.

Called them and set up an appointment for Matt to measure for some work at our "under construction" new home. Followed up the next afternoon to verify that he showed up for the appointment and left a message with the receptionist. I was told the message would get passed along, but I did not receive a call back by the following week. I contacted the foreman and he said no one showed up. Just another another contractor that apparently isn't looking for business. As a licensed real estate agent i know who i won't be recommending.
