We bought our cabinets and countertop from them. Awesome staff and very attentive. Eggi was so very helpful in selection and what goes well with what we wanted. The dispatch team, Dexter who measured made sure it was exactly the size I wanted in each of the location, Jomer, James, and Walter were very careful in bringing up the counter top to the second floor and set it up very nicely. They were very clean and wipe down everything before leaving. I would highly recommend Chen Depot. Ask for Eggi. He is awesome and always follows up with you. Our Kitchen is not complete yet but still looks great.

I walked in (but I recommend to book an appointment) and they asked what my budget was and they immediately shown options in the material I was interested in (quartz). Staff were very helpful. I went in and found the cabinets I wanted. Ordered for a way lower price than some competitors I checked. once I received my cabinets I got someone to install and everything came out beautiful. I had enough Crown Molding and moldings to make my kitchen POP. Ordered my granite from them. I didn't bother looking into Competitors because they were quick and easy. Received my Granite 3 days after measuring today and I LOVE IT.. Thank you all. I have worked with almost all of their staff and GREAT TO WORK WITH.. Not one complaint.

Very satisfied with my kitchen design, cabinets, and countertops. Chen depot was able to work with my budget. They had a lot of variety to chose from which made it easy to work with my budget. Great design team. Edison (owner) came to my home more than once to make sure and double check he took proper measurements. Him and his team were very knowledgeable and walked me through on details I needed to pay attention to when my contractor was installing. They also guided me through on small details that my contractor left out (thinking I would not notice) and if it wasn't for Edison and his team, it would not of gotten fixed by my contractor. I am very satisfied and happy with my kitchen design, cabinets, and marble countertops from Chen Depot, I wished I hired them as my contractors as well.

We had never done a renovation project but Chen Depot Made the process very smooth. Their design team really heard what we were looking for and quickly designed the kitchen we've always wanted. As is typical with renovations, we learned some elements of the original design were not going to be possible but once again Chen Depot quickly made adjustments to the design. The order for both our cabinets and countertops were timely and we couldn't be happier with the final result! Chen Depot truly gives you the best deals around and they really work with you to ensure you are happy with the design. LOOK, I'm a cranky old lady from the Upper East Side of Manhattan, I rarely give 5 stars...but I couldn't be more pleased with Chen Depot. We drove up to see plenty of remnants, which is all I needed for my small job in Jersey City. Tatiana was amazing, although the poor girl had a huge brace on her leg, she hobbled all around the store and outside grounds with her calculator, happily answering my countless questions, and then gave me a quote that made me jump for joy. Chen Depot is busy around the holidays and they will tell you up front. I am also busy, but Chen Depot worked around my schedule, a human being answers the phone when you call the company, the selection is outstanding, this is a no frills down to earth business. The template guy showed up on time, the installers were professional and efficient, the unit looks amazing, I will patronize Chen Depot in the future and you should too.

One of the employees, Igy, was very helpful, knowledgeable, and true to his words. Upon scheduling an appointment for measurements I was able to visit Chen Depot's location the same day to discuss cabinets, tiles and counter tops. I appreciated the speed with which they handled my job since I was on a deadline. The lady that oversaw my project was Gavini and she was a consummate professional. Recently moved into our first home in Jersey City. It's a brownstone home with a basement. However, the basement was covered with carpet and it smell moldy so I wanted to replace it with ceramic floor tiles. After reading the good reviews on chen depot, I decided to give it a try. Not only the floor tiles are very competitively priced and in good quality, but also the contractor did an amazing job on installation! I ended up hiring the same contractor again to do the wall tiles, which I didn't plan to do at the beginning! The staff is very helpful and provided service of the highest standard! After months of consulting with private contractors including Home Depot and Lowes, my father in law referred me to Edison at Chen Depot. I reluctantly walked into my surprise a Hidden Gold Mine in Jersey City. The customer service is great! The team is knowledgeable and dedicated. They have a tasteful selection of cabinets, mosaic, granite, quartz, tiles etc... Gavini helped me with designing a functional kitchen. Edison beat all competitors' prices. I hired their contractors to install my floors, cabinets and countertops. Not only were they punctual, they were extremely professional (a hard working team). I was amazed with their skills. Pro: 1. Good quality kitchen cabinets, clean and modern design with beautiful glossy face. The product is just as beautiful as we expected. 2. Nice color countertop. We brought our black splash when we went there to pick countertop. We took Edison's advice and chose soho grey color. It works out perfectly. 3. Economic price for this quality level product 4. Quick order and delivery procedure. They try the best to make customers satisfy. Con: 1. Delivery guy broke one corner of countertop. He fixed it finally, but the process is stressful 2. Cabinet measurement has 3 inch discrepancy. There was miscommunication between us and Chen Depot, so they might not take 100% responsibility. They finally helped us fix this with no extra charge. I highly recommend future customers stay on site when they do measurement and install countertop.

The only reason they don't get my fifth star is because they were slightly disorganized in the office when paying the remaining balance of my order, but that was fixed before I left. I first had gone to Home Depot to buy my "granite" counter top for my kitchen. It took forever to finish the order and they had a lot of conditions with the order. I still bought the order at Home Depot but was not happy with my choice so the following day I cancelled the order and decided to go to Wayne NJ to make a new order with a better deal. On my way to Wayne I remembered that there was a granite shop on RT1&9 CHEN DEPOT. I thought I was just going to take a quick look then go to Wayne NJ. Well, I never made it to Wayne NJ, the crew in Chen depot had exactly what I needed at an even better price. They also came in the next day to make the templet and brought the counter 2-days later. Explain to "Edison" I wanted my living room done before July 4 cause I was having family over celebrating July 4 Holiday.. And I wanted it done immediately, Not fool myself, I have been looking for contractors for approx month, Everyone whom came to my house, I wasn't to happy with... Anyway, Tile I found at Chen Depot, Pricing was good, And explaining to Edison is it possible for him to execute material & labor in short time, He said he can, I was worried, but took his word!!!!! Well done, Chen Depot. I used Chen Depot for two projects in a kitchen I was putting in. First, I had to clear up a cabinet mess: another designer/supplier had bungled the design and the cabinets didn't fit the space. Big headache. Gavini and Edison sat down and double-checked my plan with me. We order the cabinets, which came when they were supposed to, and everything fit ok. Second, I went ahead and ordered my countertops through Chen. The prices were good, and the installation was professional. After they left and I had already paid, I realized that one small piece of backsplash had been left out. They did the right thing and cut the missing piece for me. Professional, competent, diligent.

My basement flooded and I needed to replace the laminate flooring with something more durable - so I decided on tile. I found Chan Depot by accident looking for another tile place. The price they quoted me was $200 less then two other places I had checked previously. Better yet they had contractors that agreed to lay the tile for a reasonable price (less than I was quoted by one contractor but slightly more that I was quoted by another). I went with them because I was able to negotiate the thinset mortar for free. The owner/manager, Edison, successfully upsold me on updating my kitchen with granite countertops, offering to cut and install it for $30/sq ft. They also designed and installed a beautiful backsplash for only $200. Overall, the floor and kitchen work was completed professionally and it looks great. These guys really go out of their way to do things right and offer good deals. I definitely recommend them for and home improvements from kitchen to bathroom, etc.

Given I've been a construction manager for over 20 years, I refuse to pay big box store prices. Business ethics are everything to me. I was dealing with a cabinet maker in Bergen County but a fellow contractor that does work in NJ told me to swing by Chen Depot to see their products. These guys all pretty much carry the same products, it more or less who can give you the better deal. Their prices are good and they will find a way to work with your budget. Truthfully if it wasn't for Vini (She is AWESOME) I wouldn't have went with them. Edison is young and ambitious, knows his parents products but still has much to learn about our industry and client service ethics. Overall I would recommend purchasing your products from this establishment, but do educate yourself on cost of materials and installation.

Chen Depot. I wanted you to be as awesome as everyone else said you were. And you started out *awesome* but finished mediocre. Shopping in the store was quite easy and I was helped by some very friendly staff. My first measurement date went well, however, after the measurement I realized that things needed to be altered. Edison (I believe one of the managers there) let me know that he was not comfortable cutting the countertop (granite) if things were changing and suggested that once the additional work was complete that I have someone back out to remeasure. Again, awesome suggestion by Chen Depot. The problems start from here. Chen depot missed not 1 but *3* measurement appointments. The first was on a day that I left work early; when I called they told me that the installer was on a job that took longer than expected in southern NJ and wouldn't be making it. I was annoyed that I had to call them to find this out, but things happen. The next two appointments were scheduled later in the evening as I was no longer leaving early for someone to not show up. As stated, no one showed. What was worse was that the appointments were after the store closed. So, when no one showed up, I couldn't call anyone until the next morning to find out what happened. Finally, I got in touch with Edison who said that he would come out personally to measure. And while he was true to his word, I did have to call him directly as he did not show up on time (he was actually 30 minutes late). I finally got my measurements done. Installation day was a nightmare. My installation time frame was 2:30-4:30; the installers *arrived* at 5 PM (of course, after I called at 4:45 to find out where they were). Upon their arrival, they were surprised to find out that they were removing the old counter top. Now, the entire time I dealt with Chen Depot, I was sure to clearly mention that I had an old counter top that had to be removed. Apparently, that information was not relayed. After heatedly discussing things with Edison, the installers removed the old counter top, shored up the existing "cabinets" (they're not really cabinets but more of a custom build), and installed the counter tops. For the most part, the installers were great. The issue with them was 1. Cutting the countertop in the house sending dust all over the place and 2. After pushing them outside, cutting the remaining count top without a wet saw and throwing dust all over my front porch/yard area. Afterwards, everything looks good. Based on the troubles I had, I don't know if I would go through it all again for the amount of money I saved. Chen Depot really just needs to be more organized and communicate better both internally and with customers. I shouldn't have to call them to find out that their worker(s) are late/not showing up.

Not a great experience dealing with them. And I wouldn't recommend them at all. Price wise they might be OK, but they were definitely not professional. They took forever to complete my order. The cabinets they delivered had misaligned doors and they were not even ready to fix it. They asked me to get my contractor to fix the doors. So you pay for the misaligned cabinets and then you pay your contractor to fix the misalignment - awesome ! They kept me waiting for the entire day for installing the counter top and they didn't even have the professionalism to let me know that they are running late. I got my entire kitchen renovated and I bought cabinets and counter top from these guys, but I wish I had shopped around wisely and chosen some other place.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY ALL THE HASSLE IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!! I spent a lot of money remolding my kitchen and this place made my experience horrendous. Poor communications skills and the attitude by one of the sales rep Vini was not pleasant at all when we started to claim and demand our item be corrected. Order was not delivered when they said it would be, missing items and then when we did receive the item the most important item was all wrong. It's going on 3 weeks and still have not rectified my problem. Every time I call all I get is excuses after excuses Edison won't even return my calls. Seriously thinking about filing a complaint with small claims court maybe that way I can get my item but at this point all I want is my money back and don't ever have to deal with them ever again. F+ is their score!!!

This includes two measurements, the first product delivery, the second product delivery (because of errors in the first), and the third product delivery. Communication is poor, and when you are able to reach them to inquire about the missed schedule you are met with hostility. Our cabinets arrived defective. Chen blamed our contractor saying that Chen had inspected the shipment before we got it and everything was fine. When we persisted they punted to the manufacturers rep. The rep actually admitted that the cabinets were shipped defective (so much for Chen's "inspection") but only offered a lame attempt at repairing rather than replacing them. Stay away.

STAY AWAY!!! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I spent thousands of dollars with these folks remodeling my kitchen while my wife was in the hospital following open heart surgery. I stressed to them the importance of receiving the cabinets and countertop I ordered by the agreed upon time as I wanted everything done by the time my wife came home from the hospital. Unfortunately (for me), that agreement and my repeated pleas fell on deaf ears as there were numerous delays, little to no communication, and I received subpar products. I ultimately abandoned the money I paid for several pieces of granite and ended up purchasing the stone at another store. I recently had to go back to purchase an additional cabinet as I could not find a matching set elsewhere. Not only did I have to fight tooth and nail to get a minimal credit for the money they owed me from my previous purchase, but in true Chen Depot fashion, delivery took three times longer than promised, a cabinet door is defective and the want to charge me to swap it out. Overall, save yourself time, money, and headaches by buying anywhere else. By the way, I'm the guy in their yelp video so don't be fooled by their fake claims of customer satisfaction. No one there has a clue as to what it means to provide quality customer service.

Stay away from this place. They never mentioned there's design fee, but now they don't give the three hundreds deposit back. Even Home Depot doesn't charge such a fee and only takes less than a hundred to do measurement. Also, their attitude turned very rude when we asked for refund. Wish I can give zero star. Update: They told us over the phone that they will either refund 50 cash or 100 store credit to buy things at their place. However, when we went to get the refund, Edison insulted us about the negative review, and said he will hold the money for the "shitty" reviews. Fine, keep it to pay for a class for business ethics!

Bought granite counter top and porcelain tiles with them. The material itself was good but their service needs to improve. I need them to come back to drill a drinking water hole for me on the counter top I purchased from them and I agreed to pay what the owner had asked for the service. The tech came with wrong tools so the service was not performed, later when I call back to ask about the reschedule, the owner then told me that she will not send her guy out to me again because she felt it was wasted of their time! I could be a very grateful customer if they'd come back to drill the hole for me, instead, I am pissed off by the way how they handle the case! I texted the owner exactly what size hole I'd need before they come out but was blamed for wasting their time? I would not recommend this business.

I would have given it 0 stars if there was an option, worst store I have ever been to, went to their Jersey City store after reading all these good reviews,staff is very rude, no body wants to help, quality of the products is very bad and much expensive as compared to Home Depot and Loews, not worth the money, will not recommend to anyone.
