Excellent experience from start to finish. Working Luis and his team was easy and the work they did was top notch. He was much more affordable than places I talked to in San Jose area. This was the first part in a kitchen remodel project. It was a 2-day project to replace my kitchen counters, extending to create space for bench seating. One day was demo and installing the plywood and making stencils, one week later was the install. We could not be happier with the work done. Can't wait for the cabinet refacing to happen and then new flooring.

For any remodeling, it’s nerve-wracking because I never know if I can trust the person. I much prefer to hire someone who is decent than someone who can do it faster or cheaper. I already had good feelings about Luis just with text exchanges, so when he came and agreed to take on our job, we were relieved. When we replaced kitchen cabinets, we were told that we would need to replace the countertop too by several people. We liked our old black granite countertop and we wanted to keep it. We were told “It’s not possible.” “They won’t be able to remove it without cracking it.” “That’s not how it’s done.” In search of finding someone who can remove it and reinstall it, I was ready to call many numbers. Of course, I called the highest rated place on Yelp, Central Coast Countertops. Thank goodness, Luis responded right away. He came out to our house to see if it is possible before he agreed to take the job. Luis said I was only the third person to ask to save the countertop in his 35 years of business! He said he is 99% certain that this will work out. I didn’t need to call anyone else. When Luis came, I mistakenly thought he worked alone, that this project might take some time. Silly me! He brought a crew of 4-5 people both for removal and installation, and they worked so fast and efficiently. It was such a nice surprise. Modifications were done to match the size difference of the new counter space. His modifications were cleverly done, so precise, and matched the original perfectly. We were in awe. Luis and his team are such good people, and we were so happy with the result, I had to have a picture taken with everyone before they left. No wonder Luis is rated number one! I was looking to swap out an old ceramic coated sink for a stainless steel sink in my kitchen. It had to be an undermount sink, as I didn't want to disrupt all of the granite countertop that surrounded the current sink. I had three contractors come out and give me a quote and ended up going with Central Coast Countertops because I felt the most comfortable with Luis and I felt his price was fair. I sent him detailed pictures with the intent of saving him a trip out, but like a good contractor, he wanted to see the situation in person and we set up an appointment for him to come out. The granite needed to be reshaped a little bit in order to accommodate a slightly different shape stainless steel sink that I had picked out, and he was confident he could do that. He was very busy at the time, so we had to schedule the installation out around one month. On the day of the install, he showed up with two helpers and to my surprise, after explaining the scope of the project to them, he left and his two helpers were tasked to complete the job. Initially that made me a little nervous. But as it turns out, they were both very capable and clearly had the experience to do the job without Luis being present. They did a good job of covering up the area to contain dust in the rest of the kitchen. They also laid out tarps between my front door and the kitchen so as not to track dirt in. Luis came back the next day with his plumber and hooked up all of the plumbing. I'm extremely happy with the way the job turned out, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire Luis again.

Luis was able to install a beautiful quartz countertop for a new ADU with one week notice for a reasonable price. My order of the counter from a big orange box store was "lost" so I needed a last minute solution and Luis was happy to help. The ADU is in Felton so I was worried that's he wouldn't travel so far but he had no problem with the long drive and had plenty of options in stock. The veins in the quartz match perfectly from the counter to the backsplash. I paid more but got great quality and service. I will order from Luis again next time! The box store experience was horrible and not worth the lower price.

I saw Luis's ad on Nextdoor and contacted him. He responded quickly and I sent him pictures of my chipped countertops. We arranged to meet and the following day he came. Once we agreed to do the job he had everything he needed with him to get it done right then. I wasn't happy with the chips and I also didn't want the repair to look more obvious. Luis and his crew do excellent work. We did a minor kitchen renovation -- new appliances, new countertops, and a backsplash. We kept the cabinets. Luis put in quartz countertop and tile backsplash. Luis is extremely patient. He's been doing this kind of work for a long time and it shows. He very kindly gave us recommendations about where to put the backsplash (and not to because it would look off). He pointed out all the details in the cuts and where touch up would be needed afterwards. I had a good understanding of how the project would play out. After all the materials were in (quartz countertop, tile, and edge pieces), they got to work. Demolition and templating was fast -- less than a day. They put down plywood and drop cloths for protection. Installation was also fast. But, they did not compromise quality whatsoever. The quartz cuts are all perfect. The seam on the countertop is hard to notice. The tolerances are all tight. The squared off edges look modern but not trendy so I think they'll look good in 10 years.

Luis was great. He helped me pick out a quartz remnant with light brown veining to match the colors in my vanity and floor. He saved me money because most places make you purchase a full sheet which I did not need. He put it together so the veining in the top flowed up the side of the backsplash and side splash. I am very happy with the way it turned out. Luis was easy to reach and timely with the fabrication and installation. I will go back to him when future needs arise.

Needed to cut an island countertop (stone) to install a slightly larger cooktop and replace the downdraft vent. Project included remodeling the cabinets underneath to make room for the new vent. Luis did an excellent job with the countertop, and brought in a cabinet guy, "Hector", who did an excellent job with the cabinets underneath -- shortening the drawers and replacing the cabinet doors in the back. Luis was not able to do the ducting for the vent, but we agreed up front that I would find someone to do that. An excellent job overall. Very high quality.

I had a vision for transforming our ugly duckling fireplace hearth, plus I had a large slab of marble. Luis and his team at Central Coast Countertops helped me bring this vision into fruition. I explained what I was hoping for and with his important professional suggestions we tweaked the solution to perfection. They carried the ball home in two installations because simultaneously we had another craftsman doing fine cabinetry work on either side of the fireplace and the hearth needed to be completed at the very end. The result was a stunning harmonization of stone and wood. CCC is highly professional, caring, very friendly, and responsive. Luis listens to you and works with your vision so that you are a happy client in the end. His workers are accurate, meticulous, and good craftsman. These are the folks you want to have your in-home stone work done by, hands down. Since then we also hired him for another small stone job having to do with new countertops for our nightstands. They jumped from bland to gorgeous and can now take putting a glass down without worrying about the rings. Luis is a great resource for people in Santa Cruz County looking to remodel. He is readily available, professional, and on time. We reached out to him as part of a minor kitchen renovation, and decided to replace our formica kitchen countertops. We had a 20 day deadline to get ready for our new tenants, and Luis and his team was able to get the materials in, remove the old countertops, and fit the new ones in less than 10 days. It was a medium job, and his crew was respectful of the property, and of the neighbors. There were only 2 nicks to the paint in the kitchen - super easy to touch up. I had feared much worse. Luis also has people that can reinstall your fixtures and plumbing, if you do not have a plumber. You should also consider him for slab installations in shower stalls. His work looks gorgeous.

He came to our home and took over a job that was started by another outfit which had quoted us a lower price for the BR vanity countertop, then increased the price once they had removed the old countertop! Luis arrived early to Soledad for our initial appointment to take measurements of the kitchen countertops and brought samples of Quartz countertops similar to the styles and colors of pictures we sent him via text. After choosing the style & color of quartz countertop we liked, he spent a couple hours making templates of our kitchen counters. An estimate was given for what it would cost for the materials and installation and he made some suggestions on how to prepare the kitchen sink countertop before the day of installation. We wrote a deposit of 10% of the total. About a week later, Luis sent pictures of the Quartz slabs that had arrived from the supplier and we set a date for the following week for installation. The day of installation arrived and the countertop was installed smoothly and efficiently. We would highly recommend Central Coast Countertops to our friends and family.

I contracted with Luis to fabricate and install a quartz dry bar countertop. The project had a few unique cabinet corners, two different elevations, and a long section that required a slab joint. When completed I was in absolute amazement. Luis is an expert artisan/craftsman, and overcame every obstacle. The job came out perfect. You might be able to find a cheaper contractor, but you get what you pay for. I would hire Luis and his crew again.

Luis was easy to deal with, and patiently answered all of my questions from start to finish. It was a pleasure to work with Luis, and my wife and I are thrilled with the improvements Luis made to our kitchen! Luis quickly responded to my initial inquiry, and I had a bid less than 24 hours later. All my follow up questions were answered in a timely and professional manner. After my wife and I picked out the quartz slabs at Dal Tile, Luis had the slabs delivered to his shop so he was ready to start fabrication. Luis called a couple weeks later and said he would be at our house the next day at 8 AM to start the job. Luis showed up the next day promptly on time. Luis started with demolition work and modifying our center island to convert it from two-tier down to a single level. He also set a new cast iron sink and prepared the countertop surfaces and backsplashes for installation of the quart slabs. Luis was done with the demo work and construction in two days. and made templates so he could use them to fabricate the countertops and backsplashes in his shop. Less than a week later, Luis had the countertops done and was ready to install them. Just one day after the countertops were installed, Luis finished the solid slab backsplashes (including cutouts for wall outlets). His measurements were spot on and there was very little gap around the counter and cabinets. His joins were perfect so the connection was in an inconspicuous spot and the slab looked like a continuation with the patterns lining up. Luis' attention to detail was impressive. From start to finish, between demolition, modifying the center island, fabricating the countertops and backsplashes, and installation, the job was done in 9 days. Luis and his crew are professional and courteous, and clean up after themselves each day. I am very picky, and Luis exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Luis and I am glad I gave him the opportunity to transform our kitchen into a space we can be proud of.

Luis did a great job on my fireplace hearth. I had a slab of quartzite I wanted maxed into a hearth. others either didn't reply or were too busy/job too small but Luis made time in his busy day and had great suggestions to what I wanted. After doing the flat hearth I asked him back to make long pieces to frame the fireplace and he came the next day listened and made suggestions and came back within 48 hours with finished pieces. Luis was a joy to wirk with. His 25 years of experience shines through. He is not only very professional and timely, but he's a truly nice person. My countertops are quartzite which are apparently as challenging to cut as steel, but they fit in place absolutely perfectly. Now it's on to covering the entire back wall with backsplash tiles and I'll be hiring him again.

Luis, the owner, is very friendly and was very prepared for installation day. He worked quickly, efficiently, and left the work area clean upon his departure. His granite cuts were clean and you could barely see the seams/joints upon install. Definitely a great job for a great price and I would not go with anyone else. Let me start off by saying - I HIGHLY recommend Luis for countertop fabrication and installation. It was so difficult finding someone to install countertops for a new bar and buffet in our home. We called several companies and they either never got back to us or didn't show up when they were supposed to. Luis was the only PROFESSIONAL to called us back. He even came to our home on a Saturday to give us a quote because he knew we wanted to get our project done right away. I am very picky -- I did not want visible seams. Luis explained the different techniques to us. I had no idea how much goes into fabricating quartz. A skilled fabricator is crucial. And Luis is definitely skilled -- you have to look really hard to find the seam! Throughout the whole process, I felt confident that we went with the right contractor.
