Alvin and his crew did a fantastic job on our complete kitchen/powder room renovation, from walking us through the design steps to putting the finishing touches on! They were on schedule, clear and communicative, and we would highly recommend them. In fact, we are planning to have them back to work on our bathrooms next!

Central Cabinets is absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend them enough! My husband and I hired Alvin and Sonny to do a complete kitchen renovation for our Coop apartment. As we are not very knowledgeable about construction/renovations, we were looking for someone who could really walk us through every step of the process. We visited several other places before finding Alvin and Sonny, and we had the same experience at all of them – they were willing to help us only with PART of the process (they could order the cabinets for us, but we had to hire a different contractor, or get the countertops from someone else, etc.). Alvin and Sonny took care of everything for us – and they did a phenomenal job with all of it! Sonny completed the design of our kitchen. We were hoping for a sleek, modern design and he absolutely delivered. Not only did he make sure to include everything we wanted, but he also had several fantastic suggestions that we never would have even thought of. We absolutely love the design – it is both functional and beautiful. After the design phase, Alvin helped us to pick out all of the materials. He had great suggestions, and I really appreciated that he never pushed us or tried to upsell us. He was always completely honest with us about prices, and helped us to find exactly what we were looking for within our budget. What I loved most about Alvin was how communicative he was with us. I have heard horror stories from friends about contractors who didn’t show up when they were supposed to and/or couldn’t be reached for questions/concerns. Alvin was literally the opposite. He was always available to talk to us. He gave us a timeline for completion of the project and did it in exactly that amount of time. His crew showed up every day and it was clear how hard they were working. He stayed in contact with us the entire time, calling us everyday to check how we were liking the results and to check with us about how we wanted certain things done. We really felt like we had control over every step of the process. The final results were nothing short of spectacular. We LOVE our new kitchen! It is sleek and modern, just like we wanted and everything was put together beautifully. We are planning to do our bathroom next and we have already spoken to Alvin about starting it after the new year. If you are looking for a great kitchen renovation, look no further. I cannot recommend Alvin and Sonny enough!

Sonny’s design is always perfection. Alvin is extremely helpful with the choosing of the cabinets. I am so so happy with central cabinets. Central Cabinets is amazing! We talked to several cabinetry providers. In the end, we decided to go with Central Cabinets because of their strong expertise in design and measurement. We were remodeling our very small kitchen in our co-op apartment and did not have a lot of experience in maximizing small spaces. We were very apprehensive about finding the right partners to help us remodel our kitchen. We hired Alvin and Sonny. Their design expertise was invaluable, and they took the time to explain the process and all of the considerations we needed to be aware of. Even when our cabinets arrived damaged, they supported us by quickly reaching out to the manufacturer and getting us replacement cabinets quickly! They made a stressful situation easy to navigate. Thank you, Alvin and Sonny, for helping us create our dream kitchen.

The construction team was meticulous and Alvin managed our expeditions really well and did not disappoint. His team was on site 6 days a week which really kept the project moving and were amazing. Lorraine--I highly recommend Alvin and Sonny and their crew to do your kitchen over. Alvin would call me and let me know when his crew would be there and they were. I've had other workers who don't show when they say they will. His crew is very clean, neat and pleasant to work with. Any problems or questions would be handled right away. Their workmanship is excellent.

I was really happy with the work that Alvin and his team at Central Cabinets did with our kitchen redesign. We gutted the whole kitchen and took a wall down, they stayed on budget and on time with everything. Overall I had no issues and everything looks amazing! My husband and I used Central Cabinets for a kitchen renovation a few months ago. We worked with several different companies/installers (cabinets, granite fabricator and installation, backsplash guy) and the stand out star amongst the group was central cabinets. First, it is important to note that our requests regarding cabinetry were not traditional and we had a tight budget. The goal was to remodel the kitchen in order to accommodate a full size washer and dryer (stacked) into a pantry (disguised as an ordinary cabinet) while adding additional cabinets to the design. All this had to be done in a regular sized co op kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. We also needed the dryer vent to be run above the cabinets and out the window, hidden by crown molding. Central cabinets is the reason this was possible! The owner, Alvin helped us select the perfect cabinets and never pushed us to do custom which was out of our price range. He found a way to have these "stock" cabinets modified to accommodate our needs and basically built us a large pantry to house/hide the washer and dryer. Not a single guest has known there was a washer/dryer in there and several have opened the "pantry" looking for snacks! The true stars are his employees that did the installation. Do not be turned off by the fact that they only speak Chinese - Alvin is always available to facilitate the conversation and answer any questions - we truly did not find it to be a problem at all. These employees are not just "installers," in my opinion, they are skilled craftsman, innovative thinkers, design experts, and perfectionists. They solved problems on site and created, by hand, custom elements that truly pulled our kitchen together. Without them, it would not have been possible. I am a very difficult to please customer and my expectations were likely unrealistic but they made my dream come true and I was 110% happy with the results! I can't not recommended Central cabinets more strongly! Please note, I did not write a review for any of the other individuals/companies involved in the project - they were all good - but central cabinets was amazing.

I'm a fairly difficult consumer. I expect things done right and I'm diligent in my research and decision making. In May 2011 I originally contacted Central Cabinets. Our kitchen is small and was in desperate need of a facelift. We chose Central Cabinets for many reasons, but mostly because of the communication, flexibility and attention to detail that went into the entire sales process. Redoing a kitchen is a major deal and partnering with the right company is critical. We had a style and design in mind and Central Cabinets came through with not only the cabinets but the granite as well. The installation went as smoothly as one can expect. The installers worked hard and were pleasant. They took the extra steps to make us happy. We purchased a more complicated back splash and that was installed with precision and care. From removal to completion the entire job was finished in 8 days but the actual work was completed in just 3 days (the days in between were exclusively for granite measuring and fabrication) That is very impressive in my book. The owner of the company is very smart and diligent. We communicated constantly over the months and he was very accommodating. I NEVER write reviews online. I am only writing this one because I hope to help Central Cabinets grow and continue doing terrific work for their customers. The kitchen came out beautiful and we are very happy.

Good products, good prices, just beware of delivery issues, it is drop off only and YOU have to unload the truck and get all the boxes in yourself. Driver will only push boxes to edge of truck bed.

My mother came to them because they were recommended by the bldg's Superintendent. Sonny came to measure the small kitchen and provided the design. As my mother's 1st time doing a kitchen in over 20 yrs she thought the design looked good with the cabinets she chose. It was only after it was installed she realized they didn't give her any drawers in the small kitchen. Then they gave her a filler for 5" of space by the stove instead of another cabinet door insisting that the stock cabinet she picked does not accomodate that size. She was expecting much more of a professional design than provided and now she has a kitchen with no drawers and she might have to cut a hole into the filler and add her own door to use it as cutting board storage at least. Bottom line: don't trust their initial design.

This place lacks customer service and IS very expensive. Almost felt like getting ripped off before even paying anything. The person working there lacks knowledge of his own products (boss?). I had to ask several times before telling me he didn't know what it was. I had to google him the image from my phone! He then got agitated and developed a slight attitude. This place needs help. I'm definitely going somewhere else. Save your time and headaches!
