We needed a large granite slab for the top of our 14' modern, floating media console. Due to fire regs/code we needed the piece to be 3" wide, so the project required quite a bit of lamination (mitered edges/corners). Definitely a more involved project. The end product was of extremely high quality. We were extremely happy with the end result. Remodeling in Seattle can be a frustrating experience, but Otto (the owner) was wonderful. He handled all communication, did the templating himself, and managed the install in person. I was impressed by this 'throwback' approach of the owner providing this level of personal engagement. If I have a project in the future that requires any solid surface work, I will not hesitate to call Otto. You shouldn't either.

I called on a weekday morning about the possibility of remnant carrera marble for a diy bathroom pony wall cap. An hour later I was picking a remnant and giving the crew the simple rectangular dimensions with round over detail. By the end of the day, it was done, just as discussed. Price was very reasonable. The quote was a fair price for a really small job, and the end product looks amazing. The crew who installed the counter made a special effort at the end of their day to put in the counter. They were super courteous, and professional. Using Budget was a great choice on our part, made our basement renovation project end on a great note.

Otto and his team are amazing! We went with Otto because he helped us stay within our budget, and his business rings true to all his amazing reviews! I called him on a Wednesday (he answered while he was at lunch), he came out and measured on a Friday and installed our countertops on the following Tuesday and they turned out amazing! We made a last-minute stop at Budget after getting a referral from our cabinet maker. I'm happy to say that it was one of the best decisions we made in our downstairs remodel. Otto was super busy with customers who were looking at remnant pieces of countertop materials. He happily greeted us and invited us to take a look at the product that was available. There were a ton of options for our little project. There were a ton of options if we had a larger project as well. After we selected the quartz that we wanted, we were given a fair quote for our small wet bar. The rest of the process went smoothly, from measuring, to scheduling an install. Otto did a great job keeping in touch with us along the way. His installers when above and beyond when they showed up at the end of the day to put in the counter. They were super courteous and professional; I couldn't have been more impressed with this company and our new wet-bar counter. Our kitchen remodel is next, and we will definitely be returning to see Otto when that time comes.

We were introduced to Budget from our neighbor who is a contractor that flips homes. We had received bids in excess of $10K and he suggested using Budget as he is his go to for countertops. Very friendly when we met at Otto's showroom and discussed every fine detail involved in this project. His bid was considerably less and after 3 verifications, he honored his price with no last minute extra charges. Day of install was within 1wk from completion of measurements and fit perfectly. They carried a degree of professionalism that was a calming effect that the project would be done correct 1st time. I would recommend to anyone.

Otto was wonderful to work with, offering reasonable prices and an amazing installation timeline compared to other quotes we got. Communication was easiest when calling him, he'd generally answer or call back quickly. Once we were able to meet up in person to select our stone, everything moved fast. He was really flexible when our household got sick just before he was supposed to come template. Once we were well again, he templated and had the counters installed in less than 2 days! We had a great experience with Otto replacing a vanity countertop and fireplace from old granite tile to marble. He was very communicative during the process, his prices were fair, and it's clear he cares deeply about his customers' experiences. His team was really quick - some places we talked to were quoting out months in advance, but these guys got it done in 2 weeks. I'm beyond thrilled with how it turned out! Wow. I needed a counter for a small bathroom vanity. I didn't have a lot of time, and since it was a small project, i was hoping to find a remnant and go from there. I spoke with them over the phone with my general parameters. I was given a price and told to come and take a look at their remnants. Within a few minutes of arrival I had the perfect one picked out. After some photos and dimensions sent by text, the job was clarified. I left them with my desired undermount sink and 2 days later, it was done. I could not be happier with the quality, speed, and price. They're not a fancy shop with a glitzy showroom, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back and utilize their services again in the future.

If I could give 27 stars I would. Otto and his team were spectacular from beginning to end. Kitchen remodel was already underway when we met with Otto. He guided us through the choices in countertop material and helped us make our final decision. We were a couple months out from needing his services but he held the material we chose until we were ready. When Otto came out to do the template I explained to him that we had an issue with some unfinished ends on the island cabinets. He suggested that we do "waterfall" ends instead of waiting the 4-5 weeks for the skins to finish the unfinished cabinet ends. Obviously an up sell, but he did it for a great price and was not pushy about it. We actually wanted that design in the beginning but budget constraints eliminated that. So Otto worked with us and made it fit into our budget. Otto initially said that it would be 5-6 days from template to install, which I thought was wonderful! But, they came out the next day and did the install. With all the delays with everything else and all the problems with suppliers and contractors, Otto and crew were a breath of fresh air. Super nice people, excellent work, they went above and beyond. I highly recommend Budget both for their customer service and their quality of work. Look no further for any of your stone needs. Otto and crew are the absolute best around.

What can I say but THANK YOU. I came to meet Otto at his shop to figure out if remnants might work for my three baths. I found some great options for that. But little did I know he was also able to help me get every piece of stone in my house installed within a couple weeks and under budget across the board. I made an emergency call to them a couple weeks ago. I was remodeling my bathroom and due to the quick pace of the construction schedule I needed a few pieces of stone to frame out my bathroom niche. We had a great experience with Otto and his team at BGS! We are living in an older house and have done a DIY kitchen for the most part, but knew we needed an expert for the countertops. We are so glad we chose Otto because he was able to help us walk through different scenarios. We were replacing laminate countertops with quartz on older cabinets we refinished so there was bound to be imperfections found. He helped us understand the importance of adding backsplash and gave us some tips to fill in the gap that was left from removing the laminate. Spectacular results and finished in one day! I purchased quartz countertops along with demo, installation, and plumbing services from Otto and his team. I actually was initially going with IKEA until I realized the poor terms and conditions and wait time. The price was really not much better with IKEA either. Otto was very pleasant to work with and coordinate on the phone. Texting and emailing (my preferred method) is not super reliable, as they are using their hands most of the time. I was impressed at their ability to maneuver big trucks in the city and get a large slab up into my condo. Look at the photos, it's gorgeous.

After our gas fireplace insert died we replaced it with a newer modern look. Now we needed some assistance with choosing a complimentary granite to finish off the look. We stopped by Budget Granite to see what was available. The shop was locked up, but the auto shop next door told us we could just call the owner as he was probably out on a job. Our dilemma was was we needed timely service. Our flooring is getting replaced as well..... you usually have to wait to get on a contractor's calendar and that can take months. So we are not expecting a quick return call. Amazingly, Otto returns our call immediately and comes to our home that evening. He is pleasant and knowledgeable about his trade/craft. Without giving you all the details..... you can see for yourself. We have a "seamless " granite fireplace exterior expertly crafted and installed all within a two week time frame ..... Wow! That never happens. We are still waiting for a date for our flooring :( Pleasant, timely, expertly installed we are delighted with the outcome. We love our new fireplace! Thank you, Otto!

I happened to stop by Budget Granite because I was in the Lynnwood area. I looked on Yelp and this place had the best reviews. There's definitely a reason for all the 5 stars. Otto was extremely helpful and made sure to find me exactly what I needed for a bathroom project. He wasn't going to be happy unless I was thrilled. He had a vanity top cut and ready to go within a few days and it is beautiful. For the stone that we picked and the service we received, the price was extremely fair. I have been telling everyone I know to talk to Otto if you are in the countertop market. I would come back here every time.

I wanted to turn my old library table into a showstopper of a kitchen island. I needed something really special and, like most people, I have a strict budget. Otto and his crew really came through for me. They gave me a choice of stones that fit both my budget and my needs. I couldn't decide between two, so Otto gave me overnight to think about it. I went with his recommendation and I'm so glad I did. He did the ornate edgework that I hoped for and so fast that a decorator friend of mine was amazed. Now my visitors ask me where I got the kitchen island. And the funny part is the bottom half of it (the table) has been here for five years. I had two pieces of remnant granite sitting in my garage from bathroom remodel projects. I wanted to use one of them as the top of an outside bbq table and the other larger piece I wanted to use as our dining table top. I ordered two steel work tables from Uline and had them assembled and ready to take the weight of the granite slabs. I called several granite companies who refused to have anything to do with this project. Otto from Budget Granite and Stone called back right away, he said he could take care of it. He and his helper came to the house to pick up the granite slab (720 lbs), took it to his shop and came back within a week with it cut to the 8' length I wanted, corners rounded, nicks and chips fixed, and polished. It looks great in our dining room. For any granite and stone work in the future I will definitely be using Otto and his company.

He wanted to know what I was trying to do, and genuinely helped me problem solve to get the look I wanted within my budget based on our conversation. Auto, was excellent to work with. He worked with my schedule. I came in looking for a white quartz with some sparkle. He completely changed my mind and showed me a piece of granite opposite color of what I was looking for and fell in love with it. It had amazing color variation and actually fits our bathroom color scheme a lot better than the white quartz would have. Couldn't beat the price and after I got him dimensions of finished slab and hole locations he had it ready next day! Have already recommended him to friends and family.

Incredible stone craftsmanship and the price was unbeatable! We were able to select the exact stone, quartz, we wanted, purchase and get installed with minimal effort. Otto was incredibly professional and timely. He was flexible with our schedule and able to move up his fabrication by an entire day to start our kitchen early! He was able to install a perfectly level, seemless quartz countertop on top of our new cabinets that were NOT level when the cabinet company installed them. He also managed to build us a beautiful quartz breakfast bar and back splash. Truly incredible work, at a great price, with skilled labor, excellent finishing, and a flexible schedule! Sometimes you have to be flexible with when Otto is around to show you slabs, but once I had picked it out it was at our house and installed in a few days. Really nice guy, lots of deals to be had in his pile of off cuts and smaller remnants.

Owner of business needs a little bedside manner!!! Even if he did a good job with our kitchen and our bathroom, he still needs improvement. After he finished the job, we referred him to people we know and even told them he did an awesome job, but when they called and left messages, not once has he ever called back. We had the same experience in the beginning. We always had to follow-up and call every time just to make sure he and his crew show up as scheduled. He was supposed to install a used hot water tank for us, mind you no warranty and no confirmation of how old the tank was. The installation was already confirmed and we took the day off from work, then called my husband later and cancelled the work because he claimed he had to go out of town and was not sure if he will be able to do it on the day we scheduled. Even if we were good customers of his, he acted like we were complete strangers. He even raised his voice to my husband and said that we acted like he owes us the world! Otto!!!! That is not how you do business with repeat customers! You need to either retire or work on your professionalism! You did not even have the decency to return our friends' phone calls! I guess you don't need the business! Have fun at the Super Bowl! That is why you cancelled our appointment!

I am not out to trash an independent business. I wish BG&S success. This is my advice when hiring ANY contractor. 1. Get what you want done and what the contractor can and will do in writing. 2. Don't pay in full upfront. 3. If it sounds to be too good to be true, it usually is. Getting a commitment instead of excuses was like trying to nail jello to the wall. Got to the point I didn't believe what I was told.
