We worked with Box Construction on nearly a full home remodel. We got new flooring and baseboards throughout the whole house, as well as two full bathroom remodels. Working with the team from estimate and design through to completion of the project was smooth. Communication was great as the project progressed and when feedback was needed from my husband and me. The team was very responsive. Our project was estimated at 6-8 weeks but the Box team was able to complete it in 5 weeks.

I had work completed by Box Construction in 2022. It was a large ask and I searched diligently for a contractor that would be willing to take on the task. My wife and I wanted to remove several walls in our kitchen to create a large open concept room. This required some outside the box thinking. All of the contractors other than Box said that what I was asking for was not doable. However, Box said that it was doable and that they were willing to do the work and were honest about the cost. Box was able to remove several walls giving us the open concept we desired. The project took longer than I had hoped but I did submit a substantial amount of change orders that Box accommodated. We ran into a couple of problems, such as the island slab not being the right size, the window installers ruining hardwood stairs, and holes being drilled into a tile wall. However, every time I brought an issue to Box, they were quick to seek out a solution and even willing to order a new island slab. Max was very helpful in our entire process. During this time my wife delivered a child and we needed to move back home. Max had coordinated with a crew to come in and repair our stairs and due to the sanding and staining our home was not suitable for our family to move into. So Max coordinated an AirBnB that could accommodate our family for 3 days and threw in a gift card for food. This was way above and beyond for what Box or any contractor could do. I would highly recommend Box for their honesty and integrity. Box does good work and really desires to make the customer happy. They are not the cheapest contractor but they get the job done and are willing to find a way to make things possible.

5 stars is not enough for this company. I used Box Construction back in 2018 for some concrete work, they did a great job and had plans to become a bigger remodeling company. 5 years later when my home builder refused to warranty repair the master shower I reached out to Box Construction again. As expected Stephen Box and his crew were professional and responsive to my wife and I's needs. They will do their best to make your dream match your budget. If you are looking for someone to come in and do a quick fix for the lowest bid this is not the company for you. Box Construction does high quality proper repairs and is worth every penny. I know that my 5 year old shower will not be leaking for the next 20 years. The peace of mind knowing that if I called Box Construction in a few years with an issue they will move mountains to ensure that the customer is happy with their purchase. I plan to use Box Construction for all future projects that fall under their scope of work. When you find a company you can trust you stick with them for life. Box Construction will be the last Contractor you ever do business with because once you see the quality of work you wont bother wasting your time contacting anyone else. PS. If you live in a newer home built by Lennar or Cal Atlantic you might want to check your showers for leaks and water damage.

This review is long overdue! Steve and his team at Box Construction did an amazing job on our home. We had a water leak and our kitchen needed to have everything replaced. Steve was responsive, polite and even spoke directly with our home owners insurance adjuster to make the process easier in my husband and I. The insurance adjuster even complimented on how polite and professional Steve was which apparently is rare in a contractor. My husband and I are very satisfied with the work done! Our new kitchen is beautiful. We can’t thank Steve and his team at Box Construction enough!

Love our new bathroom! Converted our old, dated bath into a beautiful space! Tyler, their tile guy, is an artist!! Our shower turned out so beautifully and he had such attention to detail! We recently hired Box Construction to paint the exterior of our house in Menifee, and they exceeded all our expectations! From start to finish, the entire team was extremely professional, responsive, helpful, and friendly. The painting was completed in less than a week, which is impressive, given the attention to detail maintained throughout the project. What stood out to us was their willingness to provide recommendations that not only improved the overall outcome of the project but also stayed within our budget. Their expertise was evident in every interaction, and Mike, our project manager, would check in on us throughout the project – from our first walk through until the final inspection. Starting the project took longer than expected due to delays with our HOA, but Stephen (owner) and Mike were patient and diligent in helping us navigate this. In addition to the painting, stucco patches and cracks were repaired, which was a nice bonus. The quality of their work is top-notch, and it's clear they take great pride in what they do. In 2023 worked with Box Construction to replace all of the siding on the exterior of our house. After countless phone calls to other companies, Box was the first company to send out knowledgeable people to give an accurate estimate. The work was done in a timely manner, and the final product exceeded our expectations. Steve and Chris were patient with my endless questions, and everyone that worked on the project was professional and courteous. Max, Dave, Jose and the whole design team from the initial carpentey to the paint to the cleanup were amazing and professional making sure every last detail was perfect. We had been thinking about remodeling our shower/tub for a long time. We live in a track home that we love, but they put in a prefabricated shower/tub combo in the master that was not even practical. I called it an "RV shower" because I was constantly bumping my arms against walls, glass, racks, etc. And the sound of a simple shower would wake up our daughter on the other side of the wall. We read plenty of contractor reviews and equally as many nightmare stories on social media in our area. Picking a contractor was overwhelming... until Box Construction. Steve and Melissa Box had a kid in the same class as our daughter so we got to talking at a school event and I learned what they did for a living. My first thought was: "If something goes wrong, I know where to find them!" ... but NEVER needed that. I felt like I was on a TV show from the first visit. They had a team of professionals that handled things with enthusiasm, professionalism and integrity. Heather was our designer that nailed our vision based on some Pinterest finds. Jennifer helped us pick the materials, fixtures, paint, etc. that would make our vision come to life. Steve and Michael really kept things within budget knowing that functionality was our priority. And Chris was our go-to guy day-to-day because he was on-site so much handling things himself or making sure things were moving and keeping us up-to-date. I'd say Chris was most accommodating partly because of his role and partly because he made our satisfaction a priority. Communication was never lacking and everyone we encountered maintained the brand of the company to the highest level. If we have another project, we're going back to them, so I hope they're around for a long time. Thank you, Steve, Melissa and the Team! We were blown away with the results.

5 Stars! I couldn’t be happier with the incredible work done by Box Construction. From start to finish, their professionalism, attention to detail, and craftsmanship exceeded all expectations. We had 2 water leaks that damaged our upstairs bathroom, sub floor, and leaked into our kitchen. They handled our insurance claim and made the whole process extremely easy ensuring we got the max coverage possible. They replaced our floor and remodeled our bathrooms, bringing a much needed face lift to our outdated kitchen flooring and bathrooms. Steve, has put together an amazing team! They were always punctual, kept the workspace clean, and communicated every step of the process clearly. Adrian, the project manager, ensured questions or adjustments were handled promptly and with care. Their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is unmatched. Box was amazing to work with and really acted like a huge advocate when it came to dealing with insurance. This was really huge for us given we went through at least 5 other quotes and most didn't want to do the job in a way we felt was thorough and long-lasting (we had water damage). Steve and his team made it possible to get a repair we were confident it would be done the right way. Our bathroom remodel turned out beautiful and we couldn't be happier. Box has a wonderful design team that is so pleasant to work with and their project managers were always communicative and courteous. They got the job way faster than we ever expected, and we would greatly recommend Box to all our neighbors and friends.

Great company. Very professional and courteous. They renovated our house inside and out. They had to work around a family of 5 (and a dog) since we were still living in the house while they worked. Every day they would make sure to clean up after themselves and made sure that everything was safe for our children to move around. Where shall I start. I found Stephen through home adviser after a slab leak which completely destroyed our flooring and laundry room. We had shopped a few contractors and Box was a breath of fresh air. Firstly Stephen is as honest and forthright as they come. He knows how to keep a schedule and will completely respect your time. He and his crew do absolutely top notch work and put in the hours to make sure the job is done right the first time. They are also very collaborative and come up with creative solutions to problems that inevitably arise. Stephen in particular showed expert level experience when dealing with the insurance company and made sure we received everything we were entitled to at the end or the day. Overall they made an extremely stressful time in our lives very easy. If you choose to go with Box you wont be disappointed. A++ overall... not one complaint.

Hate writing bad reviews. Very disappointed as I have read excellent reviews for this business on this sight and others. Knowing business owners can be busy, even said I was fine with evening call back. Called twice in 5 days. No call back, sorry to say. UPDATE - owner called me the morning following this review, describing that he has been out of town. I suggested in future he put an out of town message on his voicemail. Will work with him for estimate. I would remove this review if Yelp had that feature.

I don't like giving bad reviews because I felt like I had I great experience with Box Construction when they remodeled my kitchen after a slab leak a year ago. I thought Steve was professional & he came through and got my kitchen done in about 4 week which was awesome. But less then a year after our remodel we realized that the quality of the material/cabinets he chose for our home are crappy! and the scratch resistant vinyl flooring we were told we were getting definitely is not scratch resistant! We were highly disappointed when my husband contacted Steve to asked him if he had a warranty on his work because we were having problems with the cabinets and he told him that he does not offer a warranty. So if your looking for a contractor that offers a warranty you might want to go with someone else! and Steve never called my husband back like he said we would after that conversation. After our remodel was done we realized that Box Construction didn't leave us the extra vinyl flooring that wasn't used. It was our it was paid for! I would NOT use Box Construction again & I wouldn't recommend them. Bottom line if you want a contractor with a extended warranty& quality material chose someone else.

Just like our bathroom, this team looks to be top-notch--at first glance. Just because they can make it look nice does not make it reliable, durable or safe. It's only after the final payment is made that you will come to find out that's not the case. Our remodel took 4 months. It was my only hope that they would come and go as they please to take their time--that this job would be done correctly the first time. Upon "completion" the project manager Jose and owner Steve were satisfied with a level of work that was subpar, to say the least. In my opinion, having basic waterproofing is priority number one. While we experienced timely responses and they showed face to fix issues of neglect, they truly did not fix anything when given 2 or 3 opportunities to come back and make it right they simply covered it up, while we all knew there was water exposure for 3 months in the windowsill--And 5 months in the pan and bench. Water coming from the speakers " we caulked it again, should be good" my response: "What about pulling the speaker and checking what's going on?" Erick from Box wasn't concerned with it at all until 2 weeks later when there was water pouring from our speaker again!! This time they agreed to pull the speaker (at my request) to find LAYERS OF SOAKED INSULATION, rotting plywood, and sponge drywall!! There have been so many failures. Failures on basic, common sense things. They beg to have another chance but any time we've given them chances they do a quick bandage and hope to not hear about it again- neglecting to fix to root of any issue which only made matters worse! I mean if you KNOW there's water coming from an area, would you want it sealed in or investigate- how? It's newly installed-- where? Isn't it waterproof--why? We hired licensed contractors. Now that we've had 7 contractors come out to take a look and fix they've inspected layers on layers of faults due to poor craftsmanship and installation. It is not an issue of poor materials but the quality of care put into the project. This company has made a nightmare of this situation for our family, putting our health and wellness at risk!! They now expect us to live through the hassle of a remodel again forcing us to file a claim with insurance and giving no consideration to the costs, risk of safety, or we are incurring a second time!! While we can give grace for mistakes, failure to actually fix it with integrity and competence has not saved any one time, money, or grief!!
