We went with Quartz and Russell did an absolutely fabulous job, very professional and detail oriented. He was very mindful of our new cabinets and ensured that everything was perfect. We couldn't be happier with the kitchen counters and would recommend Archaic Design to anyone.

Russell is a true craftsman by trade. He excels in his knowledge of the process and making sure to understand each and every piece to the puzzle. Russell has the ability to do each phase of the work himself or sub it out. Having a GC which understands the process is an excellent quality to have on large projects. He stuck through a complex project that dragged on 13 months and completed each phase with excellent level of detail to satisfy my vision of the new addition inside and outside of my house. While the project took a significantly longer time than anticipated, that was not completely on Russell for those issues. The county had significantly more complex requirements due to the scope of the work which delayed the permitting process. Also we went through several tropical storms and hurricanes that caused additional delays as the project scope required indoor and outdoor work to be completed in various phases. Any project has a level of unknown that can happen and with so many moving parts it’s to be expected. Furthermore, starting a project in 2022 with an overabundance of projects being delayed due to supply constraints, this made it even harder to get the necessary parts in a timely fashion causing a project management nightmare on getting everything done. Even so, Russell marched on and got it all done and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. You may find a cheaper contractor elsewhere, but always remember you get what you pay for. If you want cheap unlicensed work, Archaic Designs is not the place for you. However, if you want someone with the knowledge and experience to get the job done right and with good quality at a reasonable price, there is no better general contractor in Brevard County to look for. Highly recommend, and will use Russell for future work when I’m looking for another complex project to be done.

Russell Martin is a life saver! He fabricated and installed the granite countertops in my kitchen in 2019. Last week my new refrigerator was delivered and it wouldn’t fit in the space. I didn’t take into account the overhang at the end of the counter. I called Russell to see if an inch or less could be cut off the counter. This was Saturday, he came out the following Tuesday (he had worked me into his schedule). He looked at the problem and suggested that the pantry cabinet be moved instead. Less mess and a cheaper fix. He moved the pantry cabinet and discovered the tile had been cut out under the cabinet. This caused all kinds of problems but Russell kept working and figured out a way for it to work. He didn’t have the grout to finish the job but he came back the next day (during effects of Hurricane Ian) to finish the project. He does excellent work and he has a great work ethic. I highly recommend him and his company!

Archaic Design is the best. I rent a home with what used to be an outdated kitchen and dining area. The owner entrusted me to find a remodeling company. I asked around and found Archaic Design. I am to say the least extremely happy. Russell was the most competent and honest professional I've dealt with. Russell and his team were so accommodating and patient with me, sometimes even adjusting his schedule to mine. He listened to my needs and created a dream kitchen. His attention to detail made him think of things that I didn't know I needed. He worked within the budget and created a more spacious and functional kitchen for me. It is so beautiful, I love it.
