Company profiles listed in the Countertops Contractors ranking now feature reviews from Yelp.

In its latest release, the Countertops Contractors team introduced an important update: company profiles included in the ranking now feature real customer reviews sourced from Yelp.

We consider Yelp to be one of the most trusted sources of consumer feedback in the U.S., and from the very beginning, we’ve included its ratings in our company ranking calculations. Now we’ve taken it a step further — each company profile displays not only the average Yelp rating and the number of reviews, but also the actual review texts.

Previously, company profiles featured only reviews from Google and Facebook, along with the average ratings and total number of reviews from Yelp, Google, and Facebook. The new Yelp review section provides a more complete picture of each company's reputation and helps users make an informed decision when choosing a contractor for stone countertop fabrication and installation.

Yelp reviews have been successfully integrated for 1,461 out of 2,044 companies included in the ranking — the maximum we’ve been able to collect so far. As an independent rating platform, we do not remove or alter any reviews and display Yelp content exactly as it appears. As we discover new Yelp pages for additional companies, we will continue to expand this list.

This update is more than just a visual enhancement. We see it as a step toward greater transparency and practical value for our users — because customer reviews are one of the key components of our evaluation. Our ranking is built on a multi-layered approach: data collection from leading platforms, our own mystery shopper research, analysis of customer interactions, and comparison of estimates, pricing, and service terms.

We’re not competing with Yelp or Google. Instead, we combine the best data sources and enhance them with our own research-based approach to help every homeowner make an informed and reliable choice when selecting a contractor.
