Everyone at the office was very friendly and helpful. We wanted quartz countertops and got exactly what we needed. They were communicative and responsive throughout the whole process. Very quick turn around time to installation. Installation team was professional, fans quick. The final product is exactly what we wanted and we couldn’t be happier. We definitely will be recommending Washington Marble Works to people.

Don't even get me started...because I won't shut up about how much I *loved* working with this company. Brittany is a gem. A dependable, responsive, helpful and trustworthy contact. Their prices are competitive and the showroom is easy to navigate and friendly. I felt confident every step of the way. And it didn't stop there. Every single person, from the demolition man (Greg), to the granite specialist (Brian) to the installation team to the tile man (Lenny) were professional as well as experts in their field. My kitchen has been transformed and I am overjoyed with this surprisingly easy construction experience!

I have had the exact opposite experience with Washington Marble to the previous reviews. I had them install my granite kitchen countertops several years ago. From the very beginning I questioned the seams they put in the granite at the kitchen sink. I had never had granite installed before, so I assumed this was the way it had to be done on a large counter. There are two seams at the sink, so therefore there is a piece about a foot long and 4 inches wide. The seams are very prominent and I have been told subsequently from another installer that the wrong equipment was used to cut the seams and he was sure the whole reason it was done this way was to cover up a mistake. I called Washington Marble to have them come look at it and see what could be done. The person that answered the phone said I would have to talk to "John". He never called me back. I tried again maybe a year later and still no one called me. I tried a third time a couple of months ago and still no one called. It has been my experience they DO NOT stand behind their work nor do they care at all about customer service. I called again a week or so ago to tell them I would have to move on and have someone else install a new countertop. This will cost me a minimum of $3500 and will probably have to do the entire kitchen again for at least $10,000. Still "John" couldn't find time in his day to call me. I really don't understand it. I certainly would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

They are only getting a 2 star because the final installation was fine. Otherwise, I would be giving them a 1 star based upon follow through, customer service, and quality of performance. This place was a joke! I have dealt with many contractors over the years and I have never worked with a company as dysfunctional and unorganized as this. If you don't mind waiting nearly 3 MONTHS to get a shower project completed then go with these guys. Otherwise, I would recommend you look elsewhere for people who actually follow up and keep on a schedule to get your project completed. I lived for 3 months without my primary bathroom. In addition, no precaution was taken to keep dust from other areas of my home and nothing was put down to protect our carpets, so I have been living in a dust bowl as well. In addition, every time someone was sent out it was a different person that didn't know where the last person left off on the project. Because of the lack of continuity in staff there was an error in cutting the materials which caused a further delay as more product had to be ordered. Also, the original templates that were provided were lost (they were given directly to the owner) and so that created even more delay. We had anticipated getting our home on the market 3 months ago and this fiasco has delayed us tremendously. I would never use these guys again. EVER!!!

We recently chose Washington Marble Works for our bathroom vanity countertops replacement, hoping for a personalized touch and superior service compared to big box stores. Supporting a local business was important to us, even if it meant a slightly higher price for the same quality of Quartz. However, our experience with them fell short of our expectations in several significant ways. Firstly, their pricing turned out to be considerably higher than what we had seen at big box stores for identical Quartz quality. While we were willing to pay a bit more to support a local business, the price difference was more substantial than expected. The installation process was a major letdown. Initially, the installation was botched due to incorrect measurements and cuts, which necessitated a complete redo. This added almost an additional two weeks to the project's timeline, leaving our master suite incomplete for an extended period. Furthermore, the craftsmanship in cutting the vanity for the guest bathroom sink was terribly done, resulting in a less-than-ideal outcome. To avoid another botched installation, we took the initiative to cut the double vanity ourselves while we waited for them to refabricate the countertop. Another significant issue was the poor communication we experienced. We had to frequently reach out to them for updates on installation timing and progress. They mentioned that they were overbooked, which seemed to lead to a lack of attention to detail and a failure to provide exceptional service. In the end, our experience with Washington Marble Works left us feeling that they could not compete with the service and pricing offered by big box stores. We had hoped for a seamless and pleasant experience, but we were ultimately left disappointed. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend their services based on our experience. We believe there are better options available that can provide both better value and service.

Recommend strongly against using them. Turns out this is a family-owned company and customer service is not part of their culture. In fact, being nice is not part of their culture. Not only did they not do a good job, they did not return when they said they would (which cost me 5 days of no water), the owners blamed me for the inaccurate measurements and and called me a liar when I said I did not agree to pay for extra work. The owner threatened me when I didn't want to pay for a bad job.Totally unaccountable to customers. BTW, this company was recommended by the guys who did my cabinets (great job). The cabinet guy was there each time the Wash Marble guy came. He said it was so obvious the WM kid had no idea what to do to install the backsplash correctly, and could not understand why the owner said no one called me for 10 days because "I was not a nice person." Lot more details, of course, but this is the flavor. My attorney said it would cost more than it was worth to sue, so I paid. But beware!

After many years we were looking to update/remodel our kitchen. We connected with Washington Marble based on a Facebook promo and couldn’t be happier. Thus far, they have provided professional service, knowledge about their products, ability to want to work with us/customer budget and providing recommendations. In addition, they haven’t been very flexible with scheduling as we work around some other remodels discoveries and schedule set backs that have come up and changed the initial plan. Stacey, Yury and their team of design/ template surveyors and installers have been personable, professional and friendly. Absolute pleasure working with them. This is the first of two reviews -once the project is complete I’ll share before and after pictures .

Even though I wasn’t a customer of theirs, Mary went out of her way to help me when I was in a tough spot. I wish I would have known about them earlier before hiring out for countertops. I will be back for my next renovation. Thanks Mary!

Had a great experience with Washington Marble Works! Needed a counter top to complete a utility room with a big sink. WMW had exactly what we needed in their yard. We shopped around and found that WMW had the best price. WMW had fast and very friendly service and we are very happy with the counter top that they cut for us!

Loved work with Washington Marble Works. From start to finish they were professional, helpful, friendly and efficient! We looked at using other outfits but these guys were the easiest and fastest to work with. Prices were competitive and on par with others. Would definitely recommend. So nice to have our 1991 vintage pink Formica gone and replaced with beautiful quartz. What a nice update for the bathrooms! Thank you!

Great company, very easy to work with and prompt and quality work. We had an issue with the quartz not looking like what the sample was (not their fault at all) and they replaced it without any issues.

Another perfect installation! Washington Marble Works has done my kitchen and two of my bathrooms. I would not go anywhere else. We were redoing some cabinets in the kitchen, so they came out and carefully took out the granite that they put in a couple of years ago (for use on some other project.) I showed them the pattern I wanted to save on the new slab, and they cut it perfectly! The installation was flawless and uneventful (the best kind.) They did a great job of installing the new undermount sink. Even though they have gone to laser measuring and cad-cam cutters, they still manage to keep their overhead down and have great prices. The people are great to work with, and take a personal interest in your project. Where else can you get the owner of the company to go out with you to the slab yard, pull your slab out, and discuss with you exactly what features you want in your counter.

One can often see the true colors of a business, (or person), when things go wrong. We had worked with Abby Carpet in Puyallup in the past, and we were finally able to afford quartz counter tops. They sent us to Washington Marble Works. When the crew came rolling in, all was good. I looked in the truck at the slab for our kitchen island, and thought "that doesn't look right". They put the slab on the island, and I was concerned. They could cut it again, but it would still be short. They installed the sink and faucet, and the facet had a clearance issue. Time out. Phone calls made by the installers, assurances that it will "be taken care of". Sure. Been down this road before, time for a battle. The next day, Abby Carpet and Washington Marble Works rolled in like agents on a drug raid. (In a good way)! They dealt with the problems by bringing fixing them. They gave me several options, several that would make us both happy with the faucet, and that was great. The island was a "no brainer" fix. Their fault, wrote the wrong #, and they made it right. They gave me options, and fixed things to more than our satisfaction. The installers were friendly and kept a clean work area and I hardly knew they were there. I will use them again, and hope to in the near future. I do not know anyone at this business on a personal basis, or at Abby Carpet Puyallup.

Worst experience ever with a contractor and I've used many. Seven months on a 1 1/2 month job. Lost use of house FOR AN ENTIRE SUMMER. They never did finish. Dropped counter and broke cabinet. Poor quality. Installer walked off job in dispute with this company. Left house a dusty mess and too many problems to list. Scratched window, ran over sprinkler system of in flower bed with vehicles, dirt on white shades that couldn't be cleaned or fixed. Had to hire lawyer.

This company was a sub for a kitchen and bath remodel, they provided quartz countertops and a backsplash. The office staff was helpful and business like and even went to outside showrooms to help us pick out the quartz we needed. But then things went from bad to worse. Someone came out and measured after our cabinet were in, but then there was a delay. I found out when I called that they had corporate clients to deal with so we would have to wait. I gave them a bad time, because we hadn't had a kitchen sink for days already waiting on them and a plumber because of our general contractor. When they did deliver what should have only been four pieces of quartz for our kitchen, it was five. There was going to be a seam by the sink in our mottled white countertop. I had to go to work when they got there, when I got home I could see that none of the three pieces that they had installed fit. They were out of square from the walls and cabinets and the piece by the sink was missing. The edge finish was wrong but since it was finished that way and we wanted the countertops in we accepted that it wasn't what we ordered. When I contacted them the next day and after the workers called a honcho would came out, the honcho told me that he was going to adjust and grind and polish things to get them to fit, and it didn't matter what I thought or wanted him to do. Our General contractor was absolutely no help and more or less wouldn't take the time to get involved, other than to call Washington Marble works to find out what was going on. When I got home from work that day I saw that they had worked on the countertops and that they did seem to fit, even it they had to cut into the new sheetrock to get one piece to fit and they had to move some cabinet work to minimize gaps and then cover them up with molding. They didn't bother to tell us that the countertop didn't fit flat around the sink cabinet or other base cabinets, because they were unlevel, they just installed spacers and the seam by the sink was as obvious as a black eye on an albino and there was an 1 1/2" gap in the window well where it appeared they had cut the piece wrong or else used the piece that was broke and they figured molding or window framing would cover it up. They worked on the seam twice to make it about 2% less visible. I heard different stories from different workers, but it seems the piece for the counter and sink cabinets broke twice while the guy cut it, There normal cutter had left months before and they hadn't hired someone skilled to do the work because they were changing to CNC cutting, so other workers were doing the work in the mean time. They caulked along the walls and between the countertop and the cabinet by the sink because I wasn't willing to have our Contractors handyman try and level it after the sink and counter top where already on it. I'm sure from past experienceswith them that it would have been a disaster. Without our general contractors backing we were more or less forced to accept an unprofessional looking countertop and with Washington Marble Works customer service that we had already experienced it didn't look like we would get what we wanted without it getting really messy. Overall par for the course with the subs that our general had us work with and NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE OR OUTCOME. I would never work with this company again and would not suggest them for anyone else.

My experience with this company is the exact opposite as the previous review. I had them install granite countertops in my kitchen about 4-5 years ago. I had never had granite before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have 3 large counters in my kitchen. The counter that includes the sink needed a seam. They put in TWO seams within the sink area, so that the section in front of the sink is about a foot long and 4 inches wide. The seams seem to have been cut with the wrong blade and they do not match at all. It was just a very poor job. I contacted them with my complaint and was told I would have to speak to "John" and that they would have him call me. He never called. I lived with it. After a couple of years, I tried again. Again, he was to return my call and again no call. About six weeks ago I tried one last time. Same results. These people had NO concern to even listen to my problem. I now have the choice of replacing one countertop for about $3500 and having it not match the other two or have my entire kitchen redone for at least $10,000. I would in no way recommend this company. I do not understand at all why I got NO customer service and the above review is as is stated. Beats me.
