First of all, they have great customer service. Lee was my designer and he was great. John did my template and pointed out where I was going to have a problem. He gave me several suggestions so I could have it fixed before they were installed. Leo and Courtland did the install and knew what they were doing, they did a great job. I was very pleased.

I hate to give a bad review but our experience with Upstate Granite was terrible. The worst part was installation. Or fabrication. Or templating. It’s hard to say. Our home was new construction, not a remodel or update. We have an Isokern fireplace and selected natural stone with some unique qualities and a layout to ensure the stone looked like it was cut from one piece (which was an extra charge). That process was very stressful and we had to drive out to the showroom and track down help at their site to get confirmation the slabs that we had reserved and put a deposit on were still available. We thought we were good to go then. I am still amazed at how bad the installation was. You can see in the picture that the fireplace surround is terribly crooked. One side is more than 1/4 inch higher than the other side. None of the three pieces is even close to level. When we asked Upstate Granite to come back out, they sent the original installer, who argued that he had to match the top of the inside of the fire box. We honestly didn’t check the level initially, but when the mantel was installed, the bad installation was glaringly obvious. Were we supposed to check his work? We don’t install fireplace marble for a living. The backsplash panels on each side of the kitchen sink are also very poorly installed. Either the templating was bad or the fabrication was bad, but the gaps on the left side and the gap under the cabinet light rails are inconsistent and way too big. The installer argued that replacing them might damage the rest of the backsplash and the walls. In the end we will be installing fireplace doors to cover the crooked fireplace marble, for an additional $2600.00 and are still considering options for the kitchen backsplash. Also, of the 4 different types of sinks we had in 9 places, 3 of them had to be redone because they cut the hole the wrong size. Based on our experience (June -July 2023)we cannot recommend Upstate Granite. If you do go with them, you should be ready to check their work every step of the way.

Best customer service available...hands down. The treatment we received at the showroom was incredibly helpful and professional. The team was friendly & knowledgeable and not the least bit pushy. I wish this standard of customer service were everywhere. We are extactic with our quartz, marble and fixtures and will 100% go back to Upstate Granite Solutions for any future projects!

Loved the quality and service that was provided to us. We decided to style our gazebo with a beautiful slab of granite and it did not disappoint at all. From consultation to installment, the company worked with us every step of the way and ensured we are completely satisfied.

I had two custom countertops made for some guest bathrooms at our home. Everything from initial consultation to verification of measurements and material selection was professional. I worked with designer Kyle who kept me informed every step of the way and provided detailed drawings of finished product prior to sign off. Everyone in the showroom was friendly and made the purchase stress free. I have other projects down the road and I will definitely use Upstate Granite Solutions again!

We remodeled an older home with a 16' run counter top with a dog leg. The experience was terrific from the sales rep through the final sealing of our granite top. We highly recommend that anyone considering replacing their counter tops look at Upstate Granite Solutions.

We are so pleased with our new counters and sink from upstate Granite Solutions. The showroom staff was helpful and gave us plenty of freedom to browse. Kyle, our designer, was very responsive and answered all our questions. The technician who came to do measurements was friendly and precise. The installation went smoothly as well!

Upstate Granite Solutions just installed granite countertops in our kitchen and we could not be happier. The whole process from working with Lee (Sales) to measurement to installation with Alex and Courtland could not have gone better. The price was fair, the countertops fit perfectly, the seams are barely noticeable and everything had been cleaned up when the job was complete. We highly recommend Upstate Granite Solutions!

They have done awesome jobs for me. I love that they do it all…slabs, remnants, fabrication and installation. Rick Pardee was especially helpful in my last two jobs. Very professional and courteous. Would recommend them to anyone.

I had Upstate Granite Solutions install a new marble countertop in my remodeled kitchen in Oct of 2019. I was very pleased with the help selecting my new countertops and the laser technology they used to come to my house and measure for the installation. When they arrived to install my new countertops the installer said there was a crack in the countertop (before they even removed it from their truck) and they would not be installing it. To my shock the owner refused to replace the countertop that was cracked. He insisted that they would install it and repair the countertop using “standards established by the Natural Stone Institute “. The only choice the owner gave us was to install the damaged countertop or lose our deposit. I have never left a negative review for a company but every time I wipe down my countertop and see and feel the crack it upsets me so I decided to share my experience with this company. The owner absolutely refused to replace the damaged piece of the countertop. He really didn’t care that I was upset and didn’t want a cracked countertop installed. I had narrowed my decision down to 2 companies and feel I made a very bad decision to choose this company.

This company was so easy to work with. They communicated clearly about the process. I received quotes very quickly. They had a great selection. Our install was excellent and I can barely see the seam, it was lined up perfectly. I am so glad we chose this company!

My experience with Upstate Granite Solutions was fantastic. I wanted to replace my dark 1970 Formica kitchen and bath countertops on a very small budget. I've never done this before, so I didn't know what I was doing. I contacted UGS after a cabinet maker recommended the company to me, even though I thought they would be out of my price range. Upstate's designer made time to see me immediately, looked at my photos and listened to what I wanted, gently guided me through the process, offered me a home-show coupon for three free undermount sinks, and helped me find high-quality Cambria Quartz countertops I absolutely love (I'm very picky) for a significantly lower price than Lowe's or Home Depot were offering. I've had the countertops for five months now and couldn't be happier. Upstate made EVERY part of the process--from designing to measuring to installing--quick and easy, and every person involved was professional and friendly. Both the kitchen countertops and the eight-foot bathroom countertop were installed within two weeks from the start of the process; they look beautiful and have completely transformed my home. For these reasons and more, I HIGHLY recommend Upstate Granite Solutions.

Our job isn't finished yet, but so far Eric, our main communication representative, has been very helpful, knowledgeable, responsive, and patient with us as we chose our quartz for our bathroom vanities. I read some concerning reviews about customer service before visiting the showroom, but the staff we encountered in the showroom and in the outside yard where several samples are located were always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Once our job is started, the installers will come out so we have high hopes that they will be as customer service focused, efficient, and knowledgeable as the other staff have been. Looking forward to the final product!

Great personal service. The entire staff is friendly, but more so knowledgeable. We had a entire travel trailer done that needed to travel to Alaska. (Alcan highway) No issue at all. Each piece was installed in one piece so Zero joints to separate. Thanks so much for your professionalism!

We liked the experience in the store and with our granite selection, but the installation was a completely different experience. The two workers sent to our house were unprofessional and left messes a bit more than the dust they expect you to have. It might benefit you to invest in some face masks, drop cloths or foot booties for your workers and possibly a broom or someway for them to clean up after themselves.

I had quartz countertops installed in the masterbath room and two smaller bathrooms. The masterbath had a undermount sink. I made sure the sink was at the house so the template tech could see the sink. The template tech did not measure the sink and the vanity. This should be done in order to determine where to cut the opening for the under mount sink. This would insure proper fit with the vanity. So when the counter top was installed they cut away half the vanity support for the sink due to the opening for the sink was in the wrong place. They did not tell me they were going to cut into my $4k vanity prior to cutting the support. This weaken the vanity front support. The two small bathrooms had vessel sinks. They did not cut the hole larger enough for the pop-up sink drain. Make sure you measure the diameter of the sink drain and have the hole cut at least 1/8'' to 1/4'' larger than the sink drain.

We stopped on October 1st. Everyone was very friendly and the show room was very nice. Eric was very knowledgeable, showed us around, and took our information. We emailed him on Monday our dimensions. We stopped by on Tuesday, October 5 with our tile samples. Eric was busy so we had Rick show us the pieces we were interested in. Everything we liked was sold so we called and left a voicemail for Eric on Wednesday asking about getting those sold pieces moved so we could look at the available pieces from the same lot we were interested in. I never got an email or a phone call and I left another message on Friday October 7. It is now October 12 and I have yet to hear from Eric or anyone. We will not use them and will tell everyone of our experience. So disappointing! As an update I did receive a phone call from the owner apologizing for the lack of follow up. That means something

Whatever their response. Dozens of chips are not normal. You inspected because you didn't want to replace. The whole countertop had chips. You can feel them all. Finishing was poor. I have had several granite tops over the years. Yours was the worse. Had you at least giving me the one I picked it nay have been better. You chose to give me junk. I have advised all my friends looking for new countertops to avoid your company and will continue to do so. I have to look at that awful countertop. As soon as I can I will replace.

So their follow up answer was natural pitting. Pitting perhaps. Scratches and chips are not. I felt the slab in your yard. I found no chips but the owner and workers said that is not the slab that was installed. What was the point of feeling it then? They talked out of both sides of their mouth. Salesman should have said it when I was looking at it. Install has separation from sheet rock. Someone else here also had the issue. I have had several countertops installed but never had an issue like this company. They say they care but not really. They are ok with letting damaged slab leave the warehouse. I have warned friends so buyer beware. Go elsewhere.

Our experience was terrible. Here's our fireplace marble. The explanation we got for this unacceptable installation was "we were matching the top of the firebox." This is off by over 1/4 inch. We have had to order fireplace doors at an extra cost of $2600 to cover the uneven edges. This is only a sample of the other installations Upstate Granite did in our house. A very stressful and lengthy process to even get to this point. Don't recommend. Every step of our process was stressful and exasperating.

I was informed their business is really good after measurements and pictures were provided for a residential quote. I left 3- v/m messages - no call back - but did receive a quote 8- days later with lead time of 5+ weeks. The quote had12% more material added than 2- other quotes and priced more than $2,5000.00 than a quote from a company 50 miles away. The quote was a : I don't need your business quote! Nice showroom- and hold onto your wallet - told during presentation "We don't negotiate."

My contractors work with Upstate and so this is where we went to select slabs. We looked other places too, but ended up using slabs they had. We had our main bath, kitchen surround, backsplash behind range, kitchen island, powder room, and butler's pantry fabricated here and the only piece that did not have an issue was the island. There butler's pantry cracked and had to be replaced (granite). The backsplash behind the stove was scratched on installation and had to be replaced (Marble). The holes for the kitchen sink were drilled too big and they had to come back and fill them in (doesn't look great), they didn't finish an edge of the counter that is proud of the cabinetry- it's just roughly cut so they sent someone to smooth the corners with sandpaper, but it doesn't have the polished finish. The main bath had holes in the marble that they attempted to fill with grey resin and not say anything about as well as chips along the wall edge. There are repaired cracks that I just found in the powder room marble. The sales people and repair men were perfectly nice and seemed to offer good service, but the quality of the install and their solutions were abysmal.

If you look at the photos below, you will see my full height backsplash is cracked. The slabs were perfect when I picked them out. Paul, the owner of the business, argued with me on the phone and told me the slab was like that when I picked it out. He raised his voice first and kept talking over me. When I raised my voice and said it was BS that they were not going to do anything about putting up my slab that they broke, he hung up on me. He then sent me and email (see below). This is far and away the worst company I've ever dealt with...not to mention the most unprofessional. I ended up confirming with SlabCo that the slabs arrived at Upstate Granite Solutions in perfect condition. Do not do business this this company! Their work is terrible, the management is unprofessional and they clearly have no idea what they're doing.
