Our residential design-build firm uses United Marble & Granite for countertop material and fabrication for our kitchen and bath remodels. Their in-depth understanding of the characteristics, durability, and maintenance requirements of various countertop materials enables our clients and designers to make informed decisions. When issues arise (as they often do in remodeling), United Marble is always quick to respond and work toward a solution. They have a great remnant yard for smaller projects that don't require a full slab. Highly recommend!

The owners of this company are terrible. Paid up front for custom quartz countertops snd demolition for our kitchen remodel. 2 guys came to demo. 3 months later, UMG had still not installed the counters and then quit the job. My family had No sink, no kitchen, know dishwasher for 3 months during the pandemic. Thankfully we demanded refund thru Home Depot. I’m so glad we did. Talking with the arrogant owner on was impossible and I am confident he’d had have tried to keep our money. We found a new countertop installer who finished the job in a week

United Marble’s experience in this business is unmatched. Their willingness to work with you to arrive at what you would be satisfied in the long run is unparalleled. I visited many showrooms looking for someone willing to work with me on my color, texture, timeline, and budget limitations. Made an appointment first time around. Also was able to visit their graveyard of remnants that offered so many possibilities for creative projects. During my first visit I met Shawn. Shawn is super knowledgeable on all related products. He is very detailed, thoughtful, clear and thorough once you start communicating with him via email. On my second visit I was fortunate to meet Shawn’s mom, who also works there. Her wisdom and extensive experience in the business, I would say had me change my mind to make wise choices and I am very grateful for that. No, she was not upselling anything. Just sharing her wealth of knowledge. United Marble did countertops for our laundry, bathrooms, kitchen and a custom tabletop for the kitchen. Later they returned to enlarge a hole drilled for a faucet because we changed the faucet. I would rate their work top notch, neat, experienced. Crew sent for the installation is highly skilled and respectful of others and of each other.

Paul from Kitchen Reface Depot recommended I work with United Marble & Granite for the counter tops in my Kitchen and Bath. I worked with Frank Russel there. Since I was looking to put granite in for a rental property I just needed a simple black granite in the kitchen and white marble in bath. Our new Quartz Calacatta gold countertop looks beautiful! UMG did a super job in matching the run of the veins for the waterfall. We used two slabs and the seam is not obvious unless you look for it. United Marble and Granite was terrible. Took over 6 weeks for granite countertops. I was told 2. They kept giving different excuses, guys were sick, granite had a crack, they lost my phone number. Then had the nerve to charge me $700 more. I wish we had never used this company. The granite is already stained and they will not return my calls

Best service. Most thoughtful. Completely professional. We needed to recover any remaining product when we made a design change late in the game for our kitchen. Frank drove me around the yard to find our remnant. Then we realized the seam would be in a completely wrong place on one segment. They took a look at what we needed and updated our job with no problem and gave us a key design recommendation that vastly improved the look of our kitchen. (Note, while that won't always happen, it was the attention they gave to work through the issue that mattered most.) The installation itself went smoothly and everything looks amazing. This is to update my initial review. My countertop installation is now complete. Based on my experience with UMG, I would definitely recommend them. Their staff is responsive, pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. I love my new countertops. I have only a couple of gripes, but in the overall experience they are minor. After the countertops were installed I noticed some minor epoxy residue that I was unable to clean off. Also, they forgot to bring and install a part that was needed to secure the dishwasher. The response to my attempts to contact them to arrange for someone to come out to take care of the minor issues took several days, which was very different that prior to installation. However, after scheduling, the day of, apparently the assigned technician called in sick and they wanted to reschedule. I asked if they could please just send someone else so I wouldn't have to take another day off work. They were able to send Greg a few hours later. Again, like the other staff I encountered, Greg was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. He actually went a bit above and beyond by voluntarily removing some silicone residue another plumber left when they installed the sink. Further he happily answered my questions about best practices for caring for the new countertops. So, again, I was very happy with UMG, would use them again and highly recommended them.

They scheduled in a timely matter, showed up when they said they would, and the teams were professional polite, mask wearing, and in general not disruptive to my household as they did their work quickly without a fuss or delay. Their admin Kristin was super clear with instructions and responded to my multiple questions in multiple emails with patience and clarity. Once the project was complete, there were two minor issues , I called they came back out , handled both issues and had me double check the final results to make sure I was happy . We had United marble and granite install our granite in the kitchen and they did a wonderful job several years ago. Over the last year we noticed a crack in front of our sink that continued to grow and I wasn't sure of our options. I searched on ways to fix and was afraid we were going to have to replace all the granite. We called UMG and after talking to Susan, Manny the owner came out and he told us he has a guy that does a great job of replacing the small piece of granite in front of the sink. Long story short, they did an awesome job and we couldn't be happier. The whole experience went very smoothly and we really appreciated all that was involved! Thank you UMG!

UMG was involved from the demolition of our old tile countertop to installing our new sink and quartz which they fabricated well enough. It took 3 weeks for the entire process to get done. If it wasn't for a 1 week delay on Home Depot's part to get back to us for the final payment, it would have been done sooner. Anyways, 4 men came into our home to install and I like how they had made sure everything is done exactly the way I want it, or the way they think is best. During the wait, the person behind the emails is very responsive and answered all our questions.

From the start of the project to the end, we were impressed with the service from United Marble & Granite. They were fastidious in keeping the showroom sanitized. The slabs in the back are held under shade cloth to keep from sun damage. Everyone we spoke with was knowledgeable and professional. They were able to talk us through a trade that we knew little about. They helped us make decisions about sinks and backsplashes and more. The gentleman who came out to measure our kitchen for the countertops noticed a problem with our proposed sink, showed us what was wrong, and what to look for when buying one. The installation crew of three gentlemen was polite, thorough, and respectful. UMG even was willing to take a remnant that we had from our bathroom do-it-yourself project and fabricate backsplashes for the bathroom counter. We are very pleased with the service and the product from UMG.

We ordered 2 piece of quartz slabs for our kitchen countertop late 2019, but our work went unexpected long. We couldn't install them until late Feb. We worked with Frank and he's very responsive and kind to let us put the slabs in their warehouse for a couple months free of charge. Later our contractor realized that he cannot find factories to cut the slabs, and fortunately Frank let us know that UMG can also cut them. He expedited the measurement and delivery process, we got our countertop installed in two weeks perfectly. I would work with them again in the future.

I need a very small piece of granite for a small project at home. I went to the showroom where a very friendly lady directed me to the off cuts in the slab yard. We found exactly want we needed. UMG did a countertop for a kitchen and am beyond impressed. I've worked with a half dozen of other countertop companies in the Bay Area and UMG sets the standard for a job well done, imho. Meticulous. Quality material. Attention to detail. Experience. Professional attitude. There was a specialist who came out to measure for the countertop and he used state of the art equipment (laser beam) to get precise measurements. He asked the right questions to make sure that we had the type of ledge we wanted around the sink. Worked quickly and efficiently. A couple weeks later came the installation crew (Armando, Carlos and Jose). They were professional and timely. They cleaned up and left no trace. These guys take pride in their work and a job well done. What a pleasure to work with a crew really skilled at their craft! There was a defect in the cut of the backsplash. It was noted and replaced, without hesitation or excuses or delay. Wow. Note: UMG gets busy and there was a wait to get on their schedule, however, they were, imho, well worth the wait. Highly recommend UMG.

UMG did our kitchen counters 2 years ago, and it still looks excellent. They were recommended by the Caesarstone rep I was working with at the time. Shawn was extremely responsive, sent out a guy a second time to drill the correct hole for our RO faucet once they acquired the drill bit (he even scraped off some excess epoxy for us). The installer was a bit rude with our general contractor (who was considering using them for future work), but nevertheless, they were prompt, responsive, and carried out the work exactly as they had explained to me. I was busy, they were busy, so I would email periodically to update them on the construction schedule and check on install date as it approached. Not a big deal, unless you're the type of person who likes other people to follow up/check in on you.

United Marble & Granite finished installing all of our granite countertops 9/11/19. My wife and I think UMG did a fantastic job and the countertops look fabulous. Crew Chief Luis (30 years with UMG) knew exactly what to do and was key to getting UMG to try one more time to fabricate the sink countertop in one piece so there are no visible seams anywhere. I'm so happy with the wonderful countertops fabricated and installed by Shawn DeOliveira, Luis and UMG. It was a difficult job done very well!

Just had quartz countertops installed by this company. Things started off a little shaky as I believe they lost our work order, so it took a bit longer for us to get our product than I expected. I contracted them through Home Depot. The install crew was unbelievable. I've never seen a crew take such care in a installation. Tarps everywhere to protect the floors, they were extremely cautious around our walls and paint. The installation was fast and precise and when they left the house was as clean as when they got here.

We got a quote from Home Depot for our countertop demolition and installation. United Marble & Granite partners with them and provides the services while Home Depot provides the materials. It was easier for us to do it that way because you get a quote for both materials and services right away and it was a good price. Home Depot's Countertop Department was very helpful, especially J. J. the designer. Also the coordinator Kristin Hightower from UM&G was very prompt in communication and we received all information via email. The wait time was 10 business days to get our new countertops and they were beautifully made. Thank you for your good work!

We chose United Marble & Granite to do our new quartz kitchen countertop based on a referral from Kitchen Reface Depot. We worked with Frank Russell, who was a pleasure to work with. He was incredibly knowledgeable on the products and the process, and he replied to our detailed email questions in a timely manner--either the same evening or the next morning at the very latest, even though he was always extremely busy. Frank was very straightforward and honest throughout the process, which we appreciated. UMG gives you a set of documents to read through and I think it's important to understand those to ensure things go smoothly. The templating team was efficient, and the installation team did a great job--they worked pretty hard during the installation as we had a full quartz backsplash and window shelf as well as the countertop, and they had to do a lot of cutting and fitting on site. Our new countertop and backsplash looks great. Overall, based on our experience I have no hesitation recommending this company.

Your kitchen is the heart beat of your house and we were treated to top notch service from this company. Yes, they are extremely busy, but for good reason. I overheard they re-did they kitchen at French laundry... yeah, that one. I have seen many kitchens - friends, family, acquaintances, etc. United Marble & Granite puts the cherry on top. Although they aren't designers, you can have your designers work with them to achieve the perfect look. However, if you do your research and pull up enough pictures, their fabrication is second to none. Tip - check and see if they have any sinks in stock!

We ordered a bathroom countertop through Home Depot, which ended up being done by United Marble and Granite. I have to say that I wasn't sure what to expect since Home Depot does not have the best reputation at times for quality work. However, UMG was great! They were great about keeping us updated on scheduling, completion dates, etc., and both for the measurements and the install, they were prompt and professional. We even forgot to have a sink available for them to take when they did the measurements, so instead of making me drive out to Santa Clara to drop the sink off, they made a separate trip a few days later to pick it up. Great customer service!

The whole company is very professional, they showed up on time as promised, they did good job on installation. There is one small glitch where one of the top cabinet stone came out to be too small, they quickly fixed it by replacing it, without extra charge of course. Their price is reasonable too.

They were friendly, educated and set the correct expectations. Since we wanted custom cut pieces (during the holidays) the process was a little longer than usual. Frank walked us through the entire process, taking phone calls, answering emails very quickly and in the end delivering us exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend United Marble and Granite and loved working with Frank.

Shopped at United Marble and Granite for a remnant. I unfortunately was doing so just as they changed their policy on selling remnants (they are too busy and aren't going to do it anymore). However, kudos to them for seeing it through with me since I started looking just about the time they were thinking of doing this. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for bigger projects given that they followed through and didn't leave me hanging because of the policy change. I always appreciate working with an ethical company and they sure were. I almost dropped a star because it took a little longer than I anticipated, but I suspect that wouldn't have been a problem except for the policy change and also they were installing new equipment so I assume that was an aberration. I went around to several places and United also had the nicest of the people I dealt with. Thank you, United Marble & Granite!

I've hired United Marble and Granite since 2012, they have done 3 separate projects for me. I've always been very satisfied with their work and customer service. They offer a wide variety of materials to choose from. For all three my projects I had Silestone Quartz installed by them. They offer very competitive pricing and superior service with their experienced staff. The installers are knowledgeable and very helpful during the measurement process and installation. Most importantly, they stand by their work and are very helpful to resolve any questions or problems that come up during projects. I definitely recommend them as I have to all my family and friends.
