What a terrific job! Curt was knowledgeable, patient and understanding during our kitchen remodel. From picking out the perfect slabs for our kitchen to accommodating last minute changes on our order. The Granite Guy gave us a great quote, the process was smooth and expertly done. The kitchen was templated within 2 weeks of the granite selection, and installation was scheduled immediately. The installers were fantastic, paying attention to all the little details and worked well with my other subcontractors. I was able to save some money and get exceptional kitchen my family desired. The Granite Guy brings a whole new meaning to great service and high quality product!!! I would highly recommend them for anyone considering a new granite installation.

If you are looking for the right company to do your countertops & backsplashes, stop looking!! You found them. The Granite Guy, or should I say the Granite Guys, are quite simply the most professional, competent, & caring company I've ever done business with. We had an issue with our previous countertop company, so we were in desperate need of a solution. Not being from the area, we could only start Googling Countertop companies. We noticed that The Granite Guy had excellent reviews, so we gave them a shot. And boy, are we happy we did!! The first Granite Guy we talked to was Greg. Although it was clear that the phones were very busy, Greg made us feel like our kitchen project really mattered. I told him that we were moving from out of state and, now, had a bit of an insane timeline. He got busy putting together a proposal. The price was incredibly fair, in fact, thousands less than the prior company. Greg's customer service was thoughtful & thorough. When we finished talking with him, the feeling that we had the right company started sinking in. Then we started working with the second Granite Guy, Curt. The best way to describe Curt is that he is a perfectionist. He sweats the details and just has to do everything to perfection. Our kitchen project was part of a rehab of a walkout basement. So the space was a little funky & the job required custom craftsmanship. He tackled this difficult job like a true professional. He coordinated & worked with our general contractor incredibly well. They became a team together. Everything came out … well … perfect! Our quartz countertop had hard-to-match veins and our kitchen plan involved a long stretch that required a seam. To say that Curt nailed it would be an understatement! He bookmatched the design perfectly and it is nearly impossible to see the seam. Finally, we got a chance to see the work of the third Counter Guy, Alex. He is the fabricator. He was working with odd measurements, bends on the counters, and a large backsplash to accommodate two outlets & a hood. He did a masterful job. Everything came out perfect. The edging was exquisite. We want to emphasize that we didn't know these guys from Adam, but they treated us professionally & kind of like family. And miracle of miracles, they completed the job to perfection within our insane timeline. We can't say enough about them. Our next posting will have pictures after all our appliances are installed. Your search has ended. The Counter Guy is the countertop and backsplash company for you! Dr. John Quinn Carol Quinn Littleton, CO

Our project was a little different. We needed a slab for an outdoor fireplace my husband and I built. They had the perfect color we were looking for. These guys were so helpful and eager to make sure it turned out awesome. They cut and delivered it and then we cracked it in two places trying to install it on an uneven surface. They took it back, made a repair and it looks flawless.

Be warned!! We had a granite countertop that was installed in our bathroom. When it was installed, there was a crack on the corner. We were not previously aware of the crack in the granite and never inspected the granite before it was installed. Upon insulation, we were told that there wouldn’t be any problems with it. Within one week, the granite broken in half. We learned later than they went outside of their process and blamed us for it. In multiple conversations, we were yelled at, called liars and blamed for the problem The absolute worst service and treatment of people I’ve ever experienced with any company. After all this, the remedy was for us to pay an additional thousand dollars over what we were quoted initially for them to fix the problem. We had to get another company to fix their problems. I would never let them set foot in my house again.

The Granite Guys did a great job in our family cabin. The job was six hours from Denver and in a very old cabin where nothing was standard. None of this was an insurmountable problem and now the kitchen looks great. Gregory just got it done. Thanks.

We started out looking at getting our kitchen countertops done through Home Depot and what a nightmare that turned out to be. So I Googled local businesses and found The Granite Guy and they turned the whole process/experience around for us. We struggled to find a color rock we liked before, but, the first one they pulled out for us was perfect. Every employee we interacted with was extremely friendly and answered any questions we had. We were extremely pleased with the end results of our kitchen. We will eventually be doing our bathrooms as well and we will be coming back to The Granite Guy as well as telling our friends. Do yourself a favor and go with them for your countertops!

We had a kitchen cabinet drawer wear out. The cabinet company that installed our kitchen cabinets no longer supported our cabinets. Curt and the Granite Guy were recommended by the manufacturer to repair our cabinets. Curt, was most helpful in helping us repair our cabinets when the original installers let us down. I highly recommend Curt and The Granite Guy. We will use his services whenever we need help with our kitchen cabinets or granite counter tops.

If you are looking for some Granite or Quartz for your kitchen or bathroom I would highly recommend The Granite Guy. Curt and Greg were both very knowledgeable and helpful. Greg took time to show us many different samples and gave us some really great suggestions on both Granite and Quartz. Curt came out to measure our job and also took his time to explain to us how the measurements were taken and gave us ideas to make our decision on our choice come out to exactly what we envisioned. Their installer,Garth, along with Curt, installed our choice, Quartz, and did such an incredible job. When we were choosing our product they informed us that when we buy the slabs of Quartz, that there would be extra product and that they would be able to install the extra Quartz in three bathroom countertops. Would the big box stores go out of their way to make sure that you were able to get everything out of the slabs you just bought, I don't think so. The Granite Guy's are very professional, and honest great to work with. Highly recommend them. Jim Smith

We had a rather small job, our range stuck out so far that we could not open our dishwasher! Fortunately, I found Curt, the Granite Guy and he was able to resolve my issue quickly and affordably by cutting a piece of the granite that was blocking a better fit for our range. I was appreciative of the quality of work he and his teammate did. Although it was a very small job compared to a huge installation, he communicated with me and completed the job with no issue. We plan to do a kitchen remodel and will absolutely work with him on that large project. He even took some measurements for us and was creative in looking at our strange kitchen layout for the future. Thank you again!

Three cheers for The Granite Guy! We had a partial install last night, and our countertops are flawless. The install team was super kind, professional and considerate of our space. I've had a number of interactions with Curt as well, and he's consistently professional and has a lot of experience to help guide a project. We plan to complete three bathroom remodels over the next year or so, and will definitely be coming back to Curt and his team when we need countertops for our new spaces. Thanks for being awesome, guys!

A huge shout out to The Granite Guy! We remodeled our laundry room, with plans to add a small granite counter for folding clothes. We only needed a 60" X 26" piece and hoped to find an affordable remnant from a larger job. Multiple granite fabricators quoted prices between $600 - $900 (Home Depot had a $900 minimum), and others didn't want to bother with such a small job. We found a beautiful remnant at The Granite Guy - Grigory cut the piece to size, rolled the edges and polished it for $450, and it was ready for pickup within a few days. We couldn't be happier with the process or results!!

I had Curt, the Granite Guy, do the installation of granite countertops in my kitchen. Through the whole project, Curt and his team were professional and, despite having some staffing issues that delayed my project a number of months, was always responsive to my texts and phone calls. I am more than thrilled with the job they did. Curt was able to get my project to fit into one slab despite the fact I added an additional freestanding cabinet to the job. The layout was beautiful and made the best use of the granite I picked out that had a dramatic brown streak that he placed in the most visible area. His attention to detail and artistry exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend his company for your granite installation.

I recently had granite countertops installed in my kitchen by the Granite Guys. They were fantastic to work with. I met Chad on my first visit and he was amazing. He was extremely helpful. Curt Ryan saved my kitchen remodel when the original granite contractor disappeared. He picked up the materials, fabricated, and installed my kitchen in short time and did so graciously. He even showed up to my small claims court date in case I needed a witness against the original contractor. I'd hire him again in a second.

We unfortunately hired a dysfunctional general contractor and endured a very challenging remodel of 3 bathrooms. The contractor ordered the wrong cabinets, put them together incorrectly, and installed them improperly. Curt and his team were amazing, helping us work through many challenges. Curt personally spent several hours at our home, trying to correct errors that the GC had made. They also installed the 3 granite tops. Everything looks great and we will be working with The Granite Guy for a future kitchen remodel. Curt is very professional and goes above and beyond to deliver great customer service!

Wow! The Granite Guy Team, lead by Kurt (the owner), did a stunning job on our granite and new cabinets. I am so impressed. Kurt personally came to do the template and he also was on-site for the installation. They did our entire kitchen, built me a custom island with granite, installed new cabinets in the bathroom, and granite in all the bathrooms. His quote was competitive but his service was by far over the top. He made sure that the quality of what we were getting was top notch. In fact, he made sure that other projects were done correctly and helped us even if it wasn't his project! If you are planning to remodel, please call Kurt first before any other contractor. He will take excellent care of you! I absolutely love my new granite counter tops and new cabinets!

Wow! Great stone, awesome installation, & perfect customer service. Our project consisted of 2 small vanity tops & 1 shower curb for 2 bathroom remodels. After searching around and pricing out other stone sources, I found The Granite Guy & from the get-go the customer service & responsiveness far surpassed anywhere else. My experience with them, from Marissa, the customer care specialist, to Curt, the owner, to the installation guys, was so professional. We initially contacted The Granite Guy several months ago for a remnant; unfortunately there was nothing in stock that met our dimensions. Having forgot we even submitted a drawing to these guys, Kurt called us back asking if we were still searching for a remnant. We ended up with a fabricated piece of granite for a great price. We did the install ourselves, but the fabrication team here did a great job! Kurt even let us borrow his A-frame to get the granite safely home. This piece of granite was the last bit of our kitchen remodel and sits beautifully on a window sill. If ever we need a piece of granite again, we will be returning here! Thanks Curt and team!

We were in a bit of a time crunch to list our house which made things tricky. But in the end it was done before our open house (just!). Curt is very meticulous in measuring and they fabricate the granite themselves. His price was the best. The installation was done very well and the end product excellent. If I was to get granite again I would go with this company hands down. However, I think they are very busy and this is the only thing I found frustrating. The day of installation was a bit of a moving target. I'm not sure you can get away from this with a busy company that is juggling many installs. Communication is difficult as they are trying to work and answer phones. Would I choose a company heavy on office staff for a higher price? NO! But be aware that you need to be flexible on the timing and have a few days leeway at least on install. The end product is worth it. And if you understand this and your expectation is not high on the timing then your frustration level will be lower:) I always prefer a small company rather than a large bloated one I am paying for secretaries, fancy office, marketing etc... Price and end product are always better. Thanks Curt! We sold our house right away. And the buyer loved the granite!

I chose Granite Guy after a referral from a friend. I needed to replace a tabletop after an existing brittle marble top cracked. Although Curt offered to try and repair it, I opted to replace it with granite. I selected from the remnants in stock and picked an edge style. The result was great and I happily have my table back. Granite Guy's pricing, quality, selection, and delivery time were excellent. Business seems to be booming. The downside is you have to make an appointment and hope to make it to the office when it's open. It helped that they are centrally located off of Santa Fe Blvd. But, when you get past the logistics the results are well worth the effort.

We found Curt and his staff knowledgeable and good to work with. With the attachment of under-counter sinks -- we learn as we go, but since I was doing the instillation, he advised not to use any adhesive other than making a waterproof seal with silicon. Preferably pipe tape strapping the sink in place. That I did and it makes sense due to different material expansion coefficients. They did a wonderful job fitting and machining the size we requested to the granite we picked out. Yes I'd return again.

The work was fine. As far as business they need to work on there communication skills. They told me they would be out on a Tuesday. I sat all day w/o a call from them. My day wasted. Wednesday they came to my door and did there job, left, and then I recieved a call 2 hours later telling me they were on there way. Luckily I was home that day. If they would improve the communication problem, I believe The Granite Guys would be someone I would recommend to others. My nieghbor had the same problem. Hard to get someone to answer the phone and return calls were almost non-exsistant. Hire a full timer to answer and return calls Kurt.

Caution! These people are totally unreliable and will lie to you. I should have done more research of reviews before hiring these people. Everything went fine until I wrote them a check on July 7. They committed to having the granite work done by the end of July, 2022. After two and one-half weeks I noticed that my check had not been cashed. I started calling with no response but my check was magically cashed. After more calls I finally got a call from Curt. He fed me a line of BS why my check had not been cashed. I should have cancelled at that point but he assured me that the work would by done on by July 30. That day came and went with no word. I was then told they would be there first thing on July 31. They showed up at 2:00 PM totally unprepared. No word from Curt. Day after day they would show up at various times of the day. They mismeasured one slab and Curt again gave me a BS story. This man is not to be believed! Curt only showed up for about 3 hours, one day and I never heard from him again. More delays: the backsplash slabs for the bathrooms had to recut. They damaged the floorboard on the cabinets and said nothing. These people have no respect for your time and will lie to you. Don't trust them!

If I could give "0" stars I would. This guy is unprofessional and has no respect for your time. We set up a Saturday appointment with him to meet at 12:00. When we arrived the business was closed. A little after 12:00 we texted him to make sure he was coming. He said our appointment was at 12:30. No problem, we waited. However, 12:30 came and went and he still did not show up. At 12:45, we again texted him to see if he was still meeting with us. He said he was almost there. We waited an additional 15 minutes, but he never showed up. This wasted 2 hours of our day. I would never do business with or recommend someone who shows so little respect for their customers.

Would not recommend! Cut in correctly so sink did not fit properly! Counter was cut to short and part of cabinet could be seen. Dripped epoxy in sink. Scratched floor. Never secured dishwasher. Promised to make good and never called or showed up first time. Second time was told would be here in a half hour! 2 hours late a no show again! Would never use again! Customer service is the worst! Quality of workmanship unacceptable ! Very disappoint!

My original review consisted of facts that were extremely easy to prove, which is why your own bank agreed to refund the money necessary to have another contractor repair your faulty installation. This was definitely not a 'discount'. Prior to the refund being issued, my credit card company and your bank were required by law to give you 30 days to respond and you declined. Instead, you ignored the problem for a year then responded by making numerous false claims on an internet forum. I'm confident your potential customers can read the many online reviews and make their own judgement on your character.

The owner, Curt was one of the most unprofessional people I have encountered. I was told that he would be coming by our home to look at redoing our kitchen countertops and he never showed up for the appointment. I tried reaching out to him but never reached him and never heard back from him. As I read the other posts on this site, I understand now how he conducts business and am very glad I didn't have him work in our home. DO NOT USE THIS GRANITE COMPANY. There are plenty of professional companies in the area.

Curt the granite guy is a joke. He is rude, arrogant and never on time. When he does return phone calls he promises you a date and sometimes never show up. He wanted me to pay him before the job was completed. The work was good thanks to his employee but please look elsewhere. The customer service is the worst!!

I absolutely do not recommend The Granite Guy. We recently purchased a home and the seller used The Granite Guy to install IceStone countertops. Literally the day after we moved in, a guest left a glass of water on our kitchen countertop for MAYBE an hour. A small water ring was left on the countertop. We contacted the seller who told us that The Granite Guy installed the countertops. We contacted him to see whether the countertop was properly sealed, need to be treated, etc. because we could not imagine that a brand new kitchen countertop could not handle a bit of water. He was extremely rude to us, gave us no suggestions for how to remedy/prevent any further issues and solely referred us to the IceStone website. Needless to say, we will also be contacting IceStone, but it is incredible how rude Curt was. PLEASE AVOID USING THE GRANITE GUY!!

I do NOT recommend using Curt, The Granite Guy! I should have know better when I found him on Craigslist...it's my own fault for not researching him on yelp and the BBB website. His original estimate via text message to me was ~$700 for 26sf of New Venetian Gold, including fabrication, installation, under-mount sink, etc. When I visited his showroom to inspect the granite, he told me it would be $1,000. My wife was eager to have the work done, so we agreed to use him, plus he was willing to swing by my house later that day to measure (although I already sent him the specific schematics and measurements) the surface area and to take my sink (I'm not sure why he took my sink). However, I found someone else for the ~$700 that was just as responsive. I called him to let him know that I found a better deal and instead of him being professional, he got angry and upset. I asked him if I could get my sink back...the photos of our text conversation show the result...

We had Curtis install for our kitchen as well. We have the same problem with the sink pulling away. It's something that doesn't happen right away, so I can see why the other poster indicates it was years later. Ours started pulling away and leaking in the 2nd year. I didn't bother to call him back to have it fixed, I called someone else who not only fixed it but indicated that it was installed incorrectly in the first place.

Of course, I always appreciate a business owner commenting on Yelp in response to a dissatisfied customer. It's the right thing to do. In fairness to my review, I think it's important to clarify what true, not true and might be true in his response. As I said in my first post, it is true that it was years later. I assumed that a kitchen sink install was permanent. He said that the issues I was having were because I needed normal maintenance. I don't really want to have to do normal maintenance to make sure my sink doesn't fall down. Other methods of installation prevent this. He did not try to come by on two different times. I contacted him over the course of a month, and he never came, saying he would only come if one of his guys was in the area. Evidently he was never in the area. It is NOT true the the sink was tampered with. Who tampers with their sink? It just sat there, and then started falling down. The pictures are of the exact, original install, as it was done and left in my house. It could be true that if he had done it himself, it may have been different, but I'm not sure how. He did not, in fact, do the install. He sent some random sub-contractors to my house. I can't remember if he ever came back to inspect since I called another contractor in to finish the plumbing. He, in his own response, indicates that the install looks horrible. That's the way it was done. Shameful. It is also NOT true the the BBB sided with him. It simply says that he made an effort to solve the problem (by making me pay to have my sink not fall down).

Does The Granite Guy offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, The Granite Guy performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate.
The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does The Granite Guy provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, The Granite Guy, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty.
The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact The Granite Guy in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
