Used them a few years ago to replace kitchen counters (tile) with Corian. Counters were installed incorrectly with obvious seams - they corrected it, but took extra days/another round of work, which wasn't great given we were managing around small kids, etc. They also dented the new undermount sink when installing it.

We decided to get our kitchen countertops redone and wanted to go with Solid Surface after researching different material options. The main draws for us were the ability to have a seamless integrated sink (fully seamless, not just an undermount) and the coving into the backsplash (we prefer the look, and it's much easier to keep clean than a hard 90 degree angle). Robert was responsive, clearly laid out our options, walked us through the process, and let us borrow some material samples to take home to help pick a color. Pricing was upfront, transparent, clear, and accurate - the quote we received was exactly what we paid even when some elements of our kitchen design/layout made the install a bit trickier than expected. The timeline was very reasonable and the work was completed efficiently and our kitchen was left in great shape and ready to use right away. We love our new countertops and sink and highly recommend The Countertop Store!

They had installed the countertops in the home we purchased and even though we were not the original customers of these particular countertops, they came and fixed a couple of small chips for free, and did a great job of it. It all went so well from start to finish. From the moment I randomly walked in and spoke to Robert about our fireplace remodel, to the day of installation, it all felt right. Robert took the time to walk me thru the process and pointed out some details. Communication was clear, timeframes, appointments and they coordinated with the stone company(IRG) for delivery. Gaber came out to measure and was able to give us more material than we had planned. We were so happy about that. The installers came a day earlier than planned but we were ready. They did a really great job and were extremely careful and even made some minor adjustments to the stone on site. Without a doubt, we will call countertop stores for any future work and would most highly recommend them for your project.

These guys are awesome. I had new a kitchen countertop installed and a waterfall island. Ross at the store was friendly and knowledgeable, as he helped me select the quartz. I worked with Gabor on the template for the countertop and island; because I had big marbling patterns in my quartz, we wanted to ensure the patterns would look right. Gabor is a true artist and exceptionally skilled at what he does. He pays close attention to detail and highlighted aspects that I hadn't considered. Waterfall islands can be pretty tricky to install I've learned, but with Gabor, be assured that you'll be in great hands. Thanks guys!

These guys are world class. From the demo of the old kitchen counter to installation of the new counter, they did an exceptional job at every stage. We're in the process of remodeling a previous owner's remodel. I appreciated their candid feedback about the shortcomings of the previous remodel as they were working in the kitchen as it allowed me to take some corrective action on some things that were frankly just shoddy. Their post installation support is great as well when we found some tiny chips in the granite, they came over and in minutes were able to address the flaws. You're in good hands with these guys...very high quality work.

I had an excellent experience! Ross at the store was helpful and knowledgeable in helping me select my countertops and sinks for my kitchen and bathrooms. The whole process went smoothly like clockwork, from ordering to scheduling appointments for demolition, measuring and installation. The installation was fast and the crew left the sites very clean. Robert, the main installer, knows his craft and did excellent work. We had a small problem and Robert was quick to acknowledge it and came and fixed the problem the very next day. After an exhaustive search and visiting more than 20 or more counter stores, showrooms and warehouses, the Counter Top Store of San Carlos takes the cake! Ross is super knowledgable - able to answer questions about the materials and polymers that go into each counter as well as where they are sourced and what the manufacturers business practices are. The Counter Top Store also fabricates and installs which is terrific. Gabor and his crew are amazing at installing and super responsive to customers needs. We scheduled a date and time on the calendar and they were there as promised. They carry quality products and have samples available for you to borrow. They were clean, neat and efficient. These guys did a bang-up job installing all new countertops after a remodel in our home. Fast-forward a year or two later and there's a chip/ding on one of the corners. We first had our kitchen countertops and sink replaced when starting our home renovation with the Countertop Store. The people at the store were very helpful in explaining our options to get what we wanted. Their knowledge of experience, helped make our decision to hire them. Their selection of Quartz and Granite stone was very good. We had a budget and they came through for us. The installation included the plumbing hook up. The time frame to do the job was spot on. We remodeled our kitchen in our Redwood City home in August / Sept 2015, and I just have not gotten around to writing a review until now. We got quotes from 4 different countertop fabricators. The Countertop store had the lowest bid of all 4, especially when you consider the extra work they can do that we would otherwise have had to subcontract out to someone else -- plumbing for example. They were always on time and very professional, and they did really great quality work. They also worked with us to get the most out of our undersized granite slab, which was slightly undersized, but they managed to do all of our countertops plus backsplash. We were worried that the slab would be too small, which would have required us to buy another one at a cost of over $1,400 just to do backsplashes. In the end, they saved us a lot of money vs. other fabricators, plus they eliminated at least one other sub-contractor (plumbing), and they were super easy to work wtih.

The Countertop Store is an awesome one-stop shop for consumers who are remodeling their kitchens and or baths. It's a beautiful shop with easy parking, and it provides lots of samples and has various kitchens and bathrooms set up in the showroom. When I stopped by to check it out, I really didn't expect such an excellent experience. I was quickly greeted by Ross, who walked me through and didn't rush me through my decision-making process. He was a font of information, and really helpful--including when I asked random questions, like who are the best manufacturers of faucets for my particular situation. They stock Grohe, an excellent mfr., but they also know a lot about other brands that you should use or should avoid. Robert quickly came to template and estimate my job. I got prices within one day. Pricing is very competitive with local suppliers. And, like other reviewers have said, the workmanship is superb. Details really make the difference in jobs like this. Am very happy to have discovered The Countertop Store.

I couldn't be more pleased with my recent kitchen countertop installation of Cambria quartz. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. I knew that I wanted quartz and particularly Cambria since it is a high-end product with low maintance. (BTW, there was a new quartz countertop here when I bought this place, but the quality of the material and the workmanship demanded an immediate replacement). I read Yelp reviews and selected the Countetop Store based on those reviews. What also impressed me was that I was able to conduct then entire process online. I emailed the kitchen design from which they did the estimate and then finalized it with the electronic contract. I had Amazon deliver the Kraus sink to them. Thank you Ross for all your help. Gabor came out and did the template and several weeks later, on time and without any surprises, Gabor and his crew did the installation. I was further impressed by the calm and mild manner in which Gabor worked with and supervised his crew during the installation process. I will go back to the Countertop Store when it is time for the bathroom remodel!

Ross from the Countertop Store is a savior. I had granite installed by another fabricator, but the sealers that fabricator had recommended were not performing well in my test samples. I called the Countertop Store and spoke to Ross. He was familiar with with my stone and knew which sealer would work because he has a ton of experience with all kinds of stones. He was also friendly and keen to help. He came to my home and sealed my counters and did a superb job. The products he used vastly outperformed all the other sealers I had tried in oil tests. My counters are no longer fussy and stain-prone, but instead beautiful and resilient. I highly recommend the countertop store if you are looking for helpful and experienced folks to work on your stone.

What is the most important is their crafsmanship. Gabor is very detailed oriented. He took pride in the outcome of the job. Everything was exact and high quality. Top notch! These guys are great, everyone I chatted with from the showroom, to the quoting, contracts, and installation was amazing. I had shopped around to a lot of local countertop and tile shops, stone yards, fabricators and the big box shops and these guys were bar none the winners in BOTH price and customer service. They were far cheaper than any other option I priced out and I did my homework. I had landed on quartz as my preferred material for its durability and style. When I was first given the price per sq. ft. in the showroom my stomach did drop a bit as it did seem more than other shops. AND THEN , i got quotes form these other shops and I LEARNED that rest of those place just charge you for every little detail when it comes to fabrication and it jacks the price up, way up! The countertop store came in with a bid that was at least $1000-600 less than anyone else for the same materials, edges, sink cutouts etc. And they were by far the least shady and pushy and were able to schedule my install within a reasonable timeframe. Gabor who did the install is meticulous and bless his heart he stayed here for way longer than planned as he made sure the countertops were installed correctly. He even fixed some things my contractor didn't get right with the cabinet install. Thanks guys you were wonderful to work with.

I have worked with The Countertop store for many years. As a design professional it is important that the showroom be up to date, user friendly and clean. The Countertop Store is all of above. Ross is great to work with. He is friendly, professional and knowable on all the product they represent. Pricing is competitive and their turn around time is great. Gabo is a craftsman, installer & fabricator. He makes sure everything is perfect before leaving, including making sure the jobsite clean. They show up when the say they will. We worked with Gabor from The Countertop Store on the milling and installation of a granite slab in our master bathroom (and also for a Caesarstone countertop in another bathroom). I was very nervous about this job because there's no room for error; the granite was extremely expensive, it had imperfections that constrained the cut, and we also had a difficult design: an 8' arc with an 18' radius along the front of the stone. But Gabor and the Countertop Store did an amazing job, even to my perfectionist eyes. Gabor also did a great job of customer service: answering my many questions and helping me make good decisions about the details. Very strongly recommended.

We used The Countertop Store to fabricate our granite countertops. They were a dream to work with. The store we bought the granite from delivered slabs with defects and The Countertop Store not only called to warn us prior to starting fabrication but worked with the granite store to get new book matched slabs. The owner also took the time to layout the counter top design with us. That is, he got the specs from our contractor and wanted to include us in the decision of which slabs to use in which areas. This makes a significant difference in granite with varied colors/patterns. After the cabinets were installed, they did a great job installing the counters in remarkably little time. The stone arrived sealed and we've had zero issues with chipping or staining.

These guys have a large yard of stone remnants, and I was able to get almost ALL the granite I needed for sinks, backsplashes, a window sill, and a stone hearth. Watching their guys work to make a template and later to install the stone is impressive - they are the definition of METICULOUS. I found them easy to work with as well, and very friendly and helpful. My general contractor (who is fussy himself) was very impressed when he saw their work (I told him I'd find the countertop subcontractor myself, and I think he figured I'd find some cheap, low quality person...) I have used Countertop Store twice and would use them again any day. Great work, reasonable prices.

this is the best business I have ever contracted with. they were helpful, courteous, on time, cleaned up, did a spectacular job of replacing my sad worn laminate with a beautiful corian countertop. the owner is also the installer and he made sure the job was done correctly. he also does NOT sub out the plumbing or anything else so it was all done in a day or 2. then he recc a stellar tile setter and we have a new kitchen. so worth it. and at a price that beat floorcraft and some other local businesses.I had worried re all the things that could go wrong but it was a seamless installation. In the face of the disparate good, bad and ugly reviews, I'll share my experience with the CounterTop Store in San Carlos which took place in October, 2010. I shopped around for quartz countertops and found that unlike granite, the prices for quartz were essentially the same everywhere as the quartz companies (caeserstone, zodiac, etc.) license dealers and thus control supply, installation and pricing. The CounterTop store came in slightly higher than other suppliers for quartz. They met the deadlines they promised for measurement and installation. The installation was excellent and included under-mounting of a sink and a seam to join the ten foot lengths of quartz--all done professionally and beautifully. The joins of the eased edges were also imperceptible. They only expected payment once the job was done and I was satisfied. I was completely satisfied with the interactions with sales staff, installers and the work. The only caveat would be that I was already educated and knew exactly what I wanted and therefore did not have questions or need guidance in choosing materials and installation decisions. If you need hand-holding, it might be a different experience.

They did a small Corian bathroom counter for me. Nothing but good things to say. Quick, friendly, excellent workmanship. They also fixed a problem with my kitchen sink for free. If you need counters, you would be foolish to go anywhere else on the Peninsula.

If you need a granite countertop for your kitchen or bathroom, you must come here. They provided excellent workmanship. We had our kitchen and bathroom remodeled 6 moths ago, and we love our new granite countertops. A month ago, I dropped a glass bottle onto the surface of the granite on my kitchen sink and chipped it. I called Gabor at the Countertop store and he came to my home and fixed it at not cost to us. Now we cannot even see the chipped. This is real service.

My bathroom counters were just installed and they are absolute perfection! What a beautiful, precise job they did! All the edges are even and it fits perfectly on the cabinet and against the wall. Thank you for all the help and guidance beforehand from the helpful people at the Countertop Store. Gabor and Ross were both very helpful and patient. My granite remnant was barely big enough, and they cut it just right to maximize what we had. They even picked up an extra strip for the laminated edge which required extra effort on their part. In my case, the counters were ready way ahead of schedule and that's always good. You can use these fabricators with complete confidence and that's why I give them 5 stars!.

These guys were great. We worked with Ross at the store, and he was very helpful in assisting us with color ideas for Corian (we lugged our tile down to the store to help with the decision-making process). They were prompt with coming to our house for an estimate. We had to wait awhile for the install, because the color we picked was on backorder, but that's not their fault. Anywho....the Corian was installed in our new bathroom today, and it is really fine work. The seams are hard to even see, and the cut job around the tub is immaculate. Their price beat 2 other places we went for quotes, AND their showroom has a ton of options. Overall, great experience.

When we decided to give our kitchen a face lift, I researched and sought bids from several local Quartz counter top places including Home Depot, Accent, MT, Atherton Appliance, ecounters.com, Scan Top and The Countertop Store. My wife and I met with Ross who was extremely helpful and friendly. We discussed the particulars of our kitchen project which included demolition of existing granite counters, keeping the tile backsplash intact, different colored Quartz for the Island, new sink, etc. Countertop store was the only fabricator/installer that could commit to demolishing the existing granite while not destroying the backsplash. In an attempt to save money, Ross suggested I look online for a more affordable sink then the beautiful yet pricey Blanco sinks they carry. What's funny is that Countertop Store pretty much has the lowest prices on Blanco sinks of any vendor! The same exact model we wanted was 20% more expensive at homedepot.com! My brother is a plumber and even his cost on the sink isn't much less. I had read stories of Quartz countertops taking months to get installed, ours took about 2 weeks. The owner came by our home to check things out, discuss our options, 1 week later they returned to demolish the granite, lay down plywood and template for the new Caesarstone counters. One week after that they returned to install our new counters. This meant we were only without sink for 7 days. The counters look amazing; we used Ebony Reflections which is black with glass speckles to go over the white cabinets and contrasted the island by choosing Blizzard white over black cabinets. We went with a double basin Blanco rectangular sink which is a very cool looking. You have to look really hard to notice the seams, everything is perfectly level and they even re-grouted between the counter and the tile backsplash, matching the original grout color. When our cabinets are done being painted, I will definitely suggest some photos of the counters be added to their website photo gallery as they came out stunning. We really enjoyed working with these guys; every time I had questions I was always able to get Ross on the phone instantly. The work was non disruptive and they did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Gabor who I think is the owner (not sure how you spell his name) was a pleasure to work with in plotting the location of the sink, faucet hole, air switch hole and suggested filling in behind the stove where before there was an ugly metal trim piece. The extra cost for adding the quartz piece behind the stove and bracing it? $0. I never would have thought to do that but it made a huge difference. We were pleasantly surprised that they had polished a left over piece of the quartz, attached rubber feet and gave us a matching cutting board at no charge, AWESOME! If we ever get around to redoing our bathroom, we will probably go with Quartz again and will definitely be using The Countertop Store of San Carlos.
