I purchased a home and had the existing 30 inch range removed. I purchased a high end 30 inch induction range only to discover that the granite counter top previously installed by the prior owners was not accurately cut and that the range area was an eight of an inch out of square and several inches too short. TAKE IT FOR GRANITE came the next day and saved my day and my sanity by trimming the granite in place so that it was perfectly square and accurate. My new Viking induction range fits perfectly and I could not be happier!

I needed a second-hand granite vanity top trimmed down, so I took a chance and called Mike at Take it for Granite to see if he offered on-site, at-home granite fabrication. He told me that day his crew was in my area and they arrived within 15 minutes to do the job! I've never experienced such great customer service before in my life. The crew even removed the old caulk bead line and cleaned the granite when they were finished trimming it. The price was very reasonable, too. I was very, very impressed. Take it for Granite will get my business when I'm ready to install granite in my kitchen!

What an amazing experience I had with Take it for Granite! I live 4 hours away from our beach house, but I needed to update our countertops. I did all of our business to get this done via telephone and photos sent back and forth. Take it for Granite did everything possible to make this as easy for me and as smooth as possible. The best part, however, was that the job they did was absolutely perfect! The countertops are beautiful and installed perfectly. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a professional job done with ease!

I highly recommend NOT using this company. We were given a quote and charged more than double what we were told. Some of the workmanship is not good. Mike Weaver, the owner, has also not returned to finish the job. We should have used Stoneworks, they were less expensive and use sophisticated equipment.I wish someone would have warned me.

I was very pleased with Mike and Jorge's work. They were very careful and courteous. They handled the heavy pieces of quartz like a delicate expensive painting. They were considerate to not scratch the floor when moving the stove and kitchen table. They also cleaned up nicely after themselves. Even their caulk job was done meticulously. Having seen so many Craftsman create more mess than they fix, I can appreciate the extra effort these men went through to perform their job without damaging anything else. Thank you guys so much!

STAY AWAY! We stopped by this location to pick out two small remnant pieces needed for a job, simply because they were along the route we take to our beach place. The meeting was strange, disorganized, and it was obvious to us that there would be a high likelihood it would be done incorrectly. We were told the pieces would be ready for pickup when we returned to the area. We made multiple phone calls (all of which were unanswered), left voice messages, actually had our contractor go by too, all to be treated sub-par. The final blow was when I called and miraculously got someone on the phone, and when I asked for a specific pickup date/time, I was told 'just keep on with the attitude' and finally was told, 'I'm not gonna do it...' In other words, this is a poorly run business and I would highly advise others to seek another place for your needs. You will be disappointed here -

A company representative stated that the project could be fully completed in 45 business days, which allowed us to classify the company as one with a long turnaround time.
It’s important to note that the timeframe provided to our mystery shopper may differ from what you’ll be quoted, as turnaround time depends on many factors — including the complexity of the project, the material selected, and the company’s current workload. We recommend submitting a request, calling, or messaging the company through our website to receive a personalized quote and clarify the current turnaround time.
Does Take It For Granite offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Take It For Granite performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Take It For Granite provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Take It For Granite, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Take It For Granite in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
