Surface Tempo is offering a spectrum of top-class countertops to Orange County. They do anything from refacing cabinets to repairing homes to renovating kitchens and bathrooms to installing new flooring and granite countertops and even rebuilding showers. Initiated in 2013, Surface Tempo is still under development. Following several failed attempts to launch the business, they were finally armed in 2016 with the expertise and resources necessary to compete with Orange County's top countertop businesses. Four project managers work with the company directly, and it collaborates with a number of regional designers, builders, and technicians.

Mixed feelings. After completing work with them recently, they were able to beat another quote we had which was nice. The job is beautiful at a glance. However, upon walking around the house, there are squeaks that were not present before the renovation. They are not willing to rectify their mistake in full. I wish I would’ve paid more for a company that would have done the job 100% correct instead of 80% correct.

I just wanted to share my experience with Surface Tempo with anyone who is interested in hiring a contractor. I called surface Tempo for painting my downstairs interior, my sons room and to upgrade my fireplace. Chris quickly responded to my call and provided me an estimate the same day he came to get the measurements. Chris was very attentive and easy to work with. I wanted my son's room done first before he was off to college in a few days and Chris made it a point to finish my son's room first which I appreciate a lot. Chris made sure the work is done to my satisfaction and checked in to see everything is in order as it progressed. Chris and his team has done great at my place and I am a happy customer 🙂 I would recommend them to anyone who wants to hire a contractor.

Finding a contractor who is responsive, detailed, good communicator with fair pricing is almost impossible to find until I met Christian. He was all of these things! Surface Tempo works with specialized crews who are experts in their craft. They were on time, courteous, kept things tidy and were accommodating. Christian visited daily to keep tabs on the work, he would get supplies and save us time and kept his word by sending a crew for a last minute baseboard installation after the job was complete due to fireplace mantel delay. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future. I got all new wood flooring, reconstructed fireplace and redid the powder room. Everything turned out great!

Chris at Surface Tempo truly cared about my project and assigned a phenomenal team of tile installers to tackle a very difficult glass tile backsplash for my kitchen. The install team was professional, respectful, friendly, and the best part - their attention to detail was impeccable. Perfectly straight lines, perfect corners, perfect grout. The results honestly blew me away. I went in to this project area stressed about what the results might look like but Chris conveyed a strong sense of confidence and expertise that made me feel at ease from beginning to end. He texted me daily on updates, progress and what to expect next.There were no surprises with him and I am grateful for that! Unfortunately due to HOA requirements, I wasn't able to work with Surface Tempo. That being said, I've been shopping for a company to retile my 2 bathrooms and have been frustrated with the lack of urgency or follow through with most of these people I was referred to. Christian on the other hand was much more responsive which I sincerely appreciated. I am too busy to chase after people for answer. Provide me with the answer I need so I can proceed to the next item on the check list. Additionally, I could tell in conversing with Christian that he is thorough and quality focussed. Whereas what I get with the other folks I talked to was more about giving me the lowest bid to get my business...lowest and comprehensive are not one and the same. As the adage goes, you get what you paid for and quality work and customer service means more to me than the whole bait and switch routine.

My father is a disabled veteran and it was getting difficult for us to help him shower. His bathroom is very small and the shower needed some major upgrades. Christian and his crew at surface tempo gave us a fast and reasonable quote. We told him we needed my Dad to be able to just walk into the shower with the aid of his walker. They remodeled the entire room. New toilet, sink, mirror, replaced window, installed grab bars so he can easily and safely move around. Installed a bench seat that can fold up and down as needed. Floor and tile all replaced. It's better than what I imagined and it looks so much bigger. Also added lighting and a fan. I can't recommend surface tempo enough for your next home project. We are using them again to do a kitchen remodel and replace the flooring for the rest of the house. Thank you Christian and team!

I contacted 4 floor installation companies. the first company only installs their own products which are inferior. the second was way overpriced. the third one was a young man who didn't seem to be experienced enough for our job. thank goodness for Christopher and surface tempo! Christopher came out the same day I called. he gave me a quote and was kind enough to work with me on the price. we set the date for the demo and installation. Christopher kept in touch with me the entire time. nacho, Jose, cirilano and Vicky and Santiago came out and did an absolutely beautiful job on our den. They installed vinyl wood plank and it turned out perfectly. So if you want a great price, fantastic customer service and a professional job, call surface tempo. Highly recommend them!

Absolutely amazing work. We had gutted our kitchen and our contractor fell thru. Donal and his crew came in and within a month we had the kitchen of our dreams. He was reasonably priced and his workers were fabulous. They came every day they were supposed to on time. They did excellent work. They were so friendly and professional. We have had the pleasure of working with Surface Tempo on both our kitchen remodel in 2020 and our master bedroom and bath remodel in 2023. Im so happy with this company. I had really bad experience with the last contractor I used. It's was awful disasters. My friend referred me this company. They came into my medial spa Grey Aesthetics in Newport Beach and totally transformed it. I can't tell you enough how happy I am. We recently had our floors redone in a new property we purchased. Christian was extremely professional, solution oriented, and worked very quickly to accommodate our timelines (we were coordinating with painters). The job was complex as they had to remove existing floors and then level out the concrete that was underneath. Christian sent daily updates and photos and I couldn't be happier with our new floors. We did this project in 2 weeks. He delivered he exactly when he said he would... even asking his team to stay late on a Friday so we could have plumbing connected for the weekend. Second of all... Chris is very communicative. And he will give you his opinion if he thinks something is not right. Third... we felt like the pricing was very fair and they kept us informed through the whole process. This is our second time using Donal and his team. Last summer we redid our kitchen and recently renovated a bathroom. I couldn't be happier with Donal and his team! They're totally Covid compliant and all the workers wear their masks at all times. They're polite, hard working, and finish on time and on budget. I have been hesitant to do any renovations because of all the nightmare stories about contractors leaving in the middle of the job or doubling the budget or time. I started thinking about it after the pandemic started in March but delayed a few months. Some contractors didn't want to do both. I am so pleased that Donal came out and gave me a reasonable quote to do what I needed. He is one of the best contractors I worked with. Surface Tempo was prompt at scheduling a free estimate, and was priced competitively with all other contractors. I picked them based on their attentiveness to walking me through the process of a minor home remodel. They scheduled the work quickly, and their team was professional, and very nice. They gave me the option to purchase the material myself or they could purchase the material. Once material was purchase, job was completed in two days, right on schedule. Donal and his team are without a doubt the the very best there is in every aspect ! Donal is fair, responsive, dependable, present and stands behind his work, his goal is to have happy clients. We had all flooring replaced, painted the inside and loved their work so much we decided to demo the kitchen counters and updated the backsplash. We are very picky, but they are always prompt and do exceptional work. We have been throughly happy ! Donal has hand chosen his team of professionals and they have been with him for a long time. Everyone was careful to protect the floors, laid out tarps while working and treated our home with care and dignity as though it was theirs. We are so happy with the amazing service and work !
