On 10/31/22 we had a quartz fireplace surround installed by your team. We wanted to tell you how happy we are with the installation. The craftsmanship of Albertino and his associates Adilson and Dilson is fabulous. They were all so friendly, professional and neat. From our initial visit to the showroom in New Bedford, where we were assisted by Victor, to the installation of the final product, it was a very easy and pleasant experience. We will definitely recommend Stonetek to our family and friends. Thanks for a job well done! Toni Ann and Bob O’Melia

Stonetek Imports has a huge selection of all types of stone slabs on-site, as well as an indoor showroom. We found gorgeous porcelain slabs which they fabricated into amazing kitchen counters and backsplashes! Their prices are reasonable and they answer emails immediately. Their installer was punctual, professional and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend Stonetek for any stone install!

We are over the moon with our countertops from Stonetek! This company was so easy to work with from choosing the granite material to the installation process. The installers were meticulous, took great care with installation and to their overall professionalism. We could not be happier with the entire process! Thank you Stonetek!

Our counters were installed two days ago and they are absolutely beautiful! The two gentlemen who installed them were friendly, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. There was a small chip on the edge of our counter at the time of installation and the Paulo took care of it immediately, no questions asked. They called before they came (I provided Adriana with my phone number for them), and gave me a 45 minute window to let me know they were on their way. They were also very neat and organized and cleaned up any little bit of mess they made. They answered all of the questions my husband and I had and Paulo even helped us figure out which brackets we needed to purchase to attach our dishwasher to the cabinets on either side (it was previously attached to our formica counter). It was a pleasure to have them in our home for the installation. It was also a pleasure working with Adriana. It was so easy to communicate with her both via email and phone and her timeliness in response was incredible. I absolutely recommend Stonetek to anyone looking for quartz installation (via Ikea) in the future!

I purchased my counter top through IKEA and Stonetek Imports were the company that handle everything. I was very happy with the removal of our old granite counters. Then they installed our new quartz’s counter. I could’ve be happier. Thank you to all the crew.

This was our first experience ordering Caesarstone counters through IKEA, and as a general contractor, who has worked with many different countertop contractors, I was a little skeptical. We were pleasantly surprised how easy the process was as long as you come prepared, with drawing, measurements, etc. to IKEA. The only downside is that you have to go physically to IKEA which can be a bit of a drive depending on your location. StoneTek Imports is utilizing latest tech to template, fabricate and install your counters, and the communication and installation was professional and flawless. I would highly recommend working with them.

Great job with our new counter!!! Stonetek was prompt, clean and courteous. The process was a little longer that expected, two weeks to produce after measuring but they were clear about that from the start. Thanks for the great job, an IKEA Kitchen with Stonetek as part of the team is highly recommended for qualified do-it-yourself people and probably even better with a contractor involved.

Despite some negative reviews seen here, my experience with Stone Tek was the complete opposite: very favorable. Their very specific preparation requirements make sense, and so we were ready for the template measurements, and for the installation team (Paulo and Oziel). The latter team in particular was very friendly, polite, quick, neat, and most importantly, very professional. They did a superb job in installing our counters, which look great! I would highly recommend Stone Tek and this installation team to others!

Simply the BEST!! I have used STONETEK for several countertops. They are very professional and offer great products at fair and competitive prices. The sales team is knowledgeable and responsive. The manufacturing facility is state of the art. They do what they say they will do for the price that is quoted. They deliver on time. The installers are professional and courteous and highly skilled. I have friends and family that have been very happy with STONETEK. I recommend STONETEK without reservation.

We used StoneTek for a project in the West Village, NYC for high end tenant through IKEA. Their staff was very timely and responsive in the measuring, scheduling and delivery of the counter tops. It was complicated job and complicated by the need to bring the completed tops into a lower level garden apartment was a challenge unto itself. But their installers were up for the task and navigated their way into the lower level without a hitch. The final installation was done in a timely and very professional basis, we couldn't be happier with the finished project.

Our experience with this company could not have been more positive. All calls were either answered immediately or returned promptly. Much communication was done via email and everything was clearly explained and documented. Stonetek's quote for our job (removing a damaged granite vanity top & replacing it with quartz) was significantly lower than other businesses who priced out our job for us. In fact, Stonetek was the only company that did not penalize us for having a relatively small job which would require them ordering a full slab. There were absolutely no additional charges, even though the removal of our existing countertop was more difficult and time-intensive than expected. And when I requested a last minute change in the installation date, as my faucets were on back order, there was no problem or penalty for rescheduling. Virtually everyone we interacted with at Stonetek (Isabel, Antonia, Anabela, and a few others) was knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Most importantly, the quality of the work was first-rate! The person who came out to measure used sophisticated instrumentation that did not require removal of the existing countertop. The installers (Alan & another gentleman) did an outstanding job with the removal of our old granite and installation of the quartz. We could not be more pleased with our beautiful new quartz vanity top and would not hesitate to use this business again in the future.

My husband and I have been renovating a large historic house in Rehoboth since July 2016.  We used StoneTek (via a kitchen design center) for our kitchen and two bathrooms (1 more to go!). A big thank you to Mario Ferreira, owner of StoneTek, who went above and beyond for me.  I love our kitchen granite and master bath granite, however I was not thrilled with the granite on the small vanity in my guest bath.  I was doubtful that anything would come of it but was very pleasantly surprised when Mario immediately met with me and moved granite himself to find the perfect top for my vanity.  It was installed within 4 days.  That is what I call A+ service! Thank you StoneTek! You certainly have got my vote and I look forward to doing more business with you!

This is an amended review, my first was not very complimenting of StoneTek however since that time they've addressed the concerns and the project looks very nice. "All's well that ends well" so to speak. Had there not been the snags with communication and the customer service process and people my review would have been a 5 star rating. Rob G. Acushnet, MA.

The only reason why I chose a 4 star over 5 is because things started out a little rocky with miscommunication about my timeframe. But, customer service (Sonia) sorted out the problem and I ended up a very happy customer. My quartz counter looks gorgeous! The experts who did the templating and installation were incredibly professional - arriving on time and paying close attention to detail - and they were friendly as well. In the end, the project was finished exactly as promised, on time and for an excellent price - the best I could find in the region. I ordered the counter through Riley Kitchen and Bath in Bristol, RI and they were very helpful as well in fixing the timing hiccup when I placed the order. I would definitely recommend both companies.

I just had a very disappointing experience with Stonetek Imports. My counters are beautiful but after the workers left we noticed a tear in our 2 day old vinyl floor. No work had been done in our kitchen since the floor install. Before the Stonetek workers came, my husband covered the complete floor with drop clothes. He picked up the drop clothes after the installers left and discovered a small tear. We immediately called our kitchen supplier to report he damage, also sent a picture. The owner of Stonetek came by a few days later with his two workers and a representative from the kitchen supply store. Mario was defensive to start with, asked his workers if they dropped the granite, of course they said no. He kept trying to blame every other worker I had in the home, or saying we did it by moving the refrigerator or stove (which were already in place when they got there). He refused to listen to my explanation of how they were the only ones who could have caused it. Now we are stuck with a damaged floor. What bothered me most was how combative he was. He would not admit that his workers cold have caused the tear and try to negotiate a solution with me. I actually told him to leave my house!

I'll start with our quartz countertops are beautiful. The problem is that the schedulers and sales were not communicative, direct, honest, or accommodating.. and cost us $36,000 We were building our house and countertops and kitchen are some of the last things. The countertops were measured the day before Thanksgiving and the technician told my husband someone would contact us in 4 days with the install date usually 7-10 days from templating. Templating was Wednesday and the following Monday an install date call was due. That did not happen. Our kitchen designer had to call the entire week, and I left a message the following Friday none being returned. Finally the next week almost two weeks after templating we were told that they didn't have our product and wouldn't get it till Wednesday of that week, would cut it that day or following but could not install until following Wednesday (3 weeks after templating). When I explained lack of communication and deadline builders and others were on I only got met with denial and accusations. Attempting to place the delay on us, which I was able to provide dates and accurate details to counter all 4 false claims they made to try and divert blame. This all while I was 9 months pregnant. Stone tsk and their lack of communication cost us $36,000 as we were not able to lock into a mortgage rate due to lack of knowing when kitchen would be complete and pushed our closing and move in date back 3 weeks. And never offered any compensation or anything. The only reason I am giving them a 2 is because Olivia there worked with me and didn't blame or try to like her coworker and because to be positive we were able to move in before Christmas, this was due to our builders and real estate agent but it did happen and couldn't have with out a finished kitchen.

Updated review: I contacted them 1/26, spoke with Matt about a chip that needed repair. He said they do it all the time, it's not a problem and said Adrianna would call me back to discuss it further. No call. 1/27 I spoke with Matt again, left a message for Adrianna. No call back. 1/28: received email requesting picture of chip. Done! 2/4: I sent email requesting follow up. Finally received quote in email on 2/25, I responded 3/11 with a yes, let's get it scheduled. No reply. Left 3 messages on voicemail and another unanswered email on 4/6. There was no further follow up from the company at all, and after nearly 3 months of chasing them I had enough. Not sure what happened to them, but would no longer recommend.

Absolutely the worst company and should be avoided at all costs. Both incompetent and horrible service. Messed up measurements 3 times and caused over month delay in kitchen renovation. Workmanship is poor as they messed up drilling a hole but would not entertain any reduction in compensation for their errors. Horrendous experience all around, you will get burned if you use them.

I ordered countertops from this company through IKEA and was provided a template date by StoneTek of 6/23/2021. The directions received from IKEA stated: "If using existing cabinets-all existing countertops must be removed prior to template date... Failure to do so may result in an additional charge for a return trip." Further, the directions stated "all existing sinks, faucets and appliances must be unattached and uninstalled proper to template date." During a call with a StoneTek representative to schedule the template appointment, I confirmed these directions with them prior to going through the process of uninstalling everything. Come 6/23/2021, after spending several hours uninstalling countertops, hiring a plumber to unhook the plumbing, taking the day off and rescheduling a doctors appointment, StoneTek doesn't arrive. When I called the office to ask about their arrival time, I am informed I was not placed on the template schedule; however, they can come the following day. Additionally, they advised the current countertops and plumbing don't need to be removed/disconnected for the template. This is terrible customer service and poor business practice. They provide unclear directions regarding the template and install, which led to me wasting money on a plumber and wasting time on removing things that don't need to be removed for a template. The terms and conduction indicate that if you don't comply with their preparation directions, you may be charged $225 for an additional trip. Seems like I should be the one being refunded $225 plus the cost of a plumber for their poor customer service.

StoneTek Imports: New Bedford, MA Let me start at the beginning. When I arrived at their establishment I was greeted by a young lady who was very helpful in what I wanted to get. She had another associate show me around to look at different granite stones. I finally narrowed it down to three. He informed me he would send an email pricing all three. I received an email the next day with all the information I needed. After choosing the granite I wanted, I sent an email to them. They informed me that I would need to send a deposit of half the cost. Once that was taken care of, I received another email saying someone would come to my house and measure my counter top in the kitchen. This is when it gets troublesome. I received an email from an associate telling me the sink I bought from you wouldn't fit into my counter top and I would need to get a new one. I called and asked what dimensions I would need for my new sink. The associate I spoke with said they weren't written down and she would get back to me. She never did. I called again and this time she told me I would need to get a sink that's less than 20 inches. I had no idea what she was talking about. I ended up calling a friend who happens to be a plumber and he came over to measure everything for me. His first reaction was, "You've got a problem." Long story short, my counter top is galley size and a new sink wouldn't fit into original space. The only type of sink that would fit would be a bar sink. Now wouldn't the associate who measured my counter top know this and tell me?? I ended up keeping the sink I had since it was custom made for the original counter top. I was told by Stone-Tek I would need to bring in my sink so you could get the dimensions. I now needed to call another plumber to remove the sink and bring it to you. I was told by my plumber that you (Stone-Tek) would place in the sink. They brought up the new granite stone which was in two pieces. I was told this and was fine with that. They secured the first piece and then the second. From there they were putting up the back-splash. The back-splash didn't match to the level of my old back-splash. I asked the man why isn't it matching. I was told a back-splash is only 4 inches high. If you want something higher, you needed to tell Stone-Tek. My question, how was I to know this??? So now I have wall, plywood, and new back splash. The man asked me if I should continue and I said yes. I'll deal with it later. As they were putting up the side back-splash I could see out of the corner of my eye something was amiss. The two men were talking to one another, but I was unable to hear them. One of the side back-splashes didn't reach to the end of where it should have been. Neither told me this. I didn't realize until after they left. Now for the biggest fail of all. Again, I didn't want to be in the way of the men so I was in another room when they were doing everything. I hear this very loud noise. I get up immediately and see what is going on. They are cutting the granite stone in my kitchen to put in the sink. Are you kidding me???? Why wasn't this done outside or at Stone-Tek. I told them to stop immediately and I asked what was going on. Their response, we're cutting the stone for the sink. When I asked why this wasn't done ahead of time, I received no response. I asked if they could remove the stone and do it outside, they said they couldn't because the granite was sealed. So they continued to cut and a massive tsunami of dust went out my window, all through my kitchen, into my dining room area, den, and living room. Again, I asked at the very beginning if this was going to cause a mess and I was told no. Well let me tell you, I had a mess, a BIG MESS! After they completed cutting the stone and placing in the sink, they pulled out their little vacuum and tried to clean up the place. It didn't help. Once he was done, he asked if I liked it. I said I liked the granite and asked them to leave. I stood in my kitchen for thirty minutes just looking at the mess. I was shocked, angry, and just plain furious. When the plumber came the following day to connect the water, he was furious. He couldn't believe that Stone-Tek didn't seal the sink. A thirty minute job lasted over two hours. He showed me immediately that the sink didn't fit properly into the space. He needed to sand down the bottom of the sink and buy enough silicone to make sure it wouldn't move. He wanted me to call you, but I told him, they never return phone calls. He was able to get everything in place at my expen$e. I have never been so dissatisfied as a customer. Your treatment at the beginning was very solid and then it went downhill from there. I won't be recommending you to anyone. Shame on you for treating a customer this way.

I am not one to write reviews, but this time I had to. Six months ago I put a deposit on a granite slab and a farmers sink for my kitchen renovation. Then the pandemic hit and the project was put on hold. When I recently called them to start the project up again, I was informed that they had broken my granite slab. I understand that accidents can happen, so I said I'd begin searching other vendors, since I couldn't find one I liked there. I also said I would be by to pick up the sink, since everything was set to go with cabinet installation. And then she said that the sink had never been ordered. This meant that I had to reschedule the electrician, the plumber, and the cabinet rip-out and installation. The sink finally came in, but without the accessories I had ordered, including the drain basket, without which the plumber cannot install the sink. It has been a very frustrating and infuriating experience dealing with Stone Tek.

I hope this review reduces their business since they do not deserve the business, we give them. There are many other companies that are respectful of people!!! If you are concerned about your time, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are also rude and really do not care about communicating with the customer. It took them 4 visits to complete a simple Galley-type kitchen counter. They were late more than one hour in each visit, and one visit they arrived at 5:30 pm to begin a few hour job! They did not get done until 8:30pm!!!! My partner took off 4 days of work to be at our house for them. One of their technicians told us that they have Saturday hours, but they never informed us. They are the worst company I have ever worked with! They really did not care about the customer!!

DO NOT order counters through IKEA unless you want to wait over 1 month for countertops. I'm going on 3 weeks without counters, plus another 2 more weeks until my install date. So 5 weeks total. I reached out to the company to schedule the template, and was told they only do Wednesdays and Thursdays. I explained that I work, and requested a late afternoon appt so I could avoid taking the day off (since I already used days for the rest of the construction). I was told that I would not know the time frame until the day before, but that they come during work hours. So, I took a personal day. I get a phone call the day of saying they would come between 3pm and 6pm, wtf. I took the damn day and sat around, AND they didn't even show up until 7!!! It gets better... I contacted them about 1 week ago to discuss the install date, again explaining that I 100% absolutely cannot request another day off. Explained that my husband could be off on a Friday two weeks from then, and never received any response. This was about a week ago. I decided to reach back out last night to remind them about my husband's day off, and also to explain that I had to coordinate with my plumber to hook up my sink and dishwasher and that I would appreciate some sort of response. Finally got an email today, and it's of course my request was not honored. I am not scheduled until the following Monday. No mention of that Friday at all. I immediately wrote back and asked about the Friday once again (for the third time) and quickly received a response saying "Unfortunately, no." Two words, not an ounce of an explanation, no apology for ignoring any of my previous requests, nothing. I wrote back asking for a LATE appointment because I refuse to take another day off of work, so let's see if that even happens... These people have no regard for anyone else's schedules, show up whenever they want, and can't even stick to their 2 hour window for appointments. I would also like to mention that my neighbor has used this company through IKEA as well, and was given the exact same run around. Was told to stay on top of them because they NEVER follow through. They got their countertop in an untimely fashion as well, and when it was finally delivered and installed, it was all messed up. The cuts were wrong, sink didn't match up, etc. They completely lost it on the company because it had to be re-made, and they tried to get them to wait TWO MORE WEEKS for it. They said it takes at least a week to receive the slab, then another week to cut it and everything. My neighbors made numerous phone calls and contacted everyone they could to complain, and it turns out they were actually able to fabricate and install a countertop in 3 days. Go figure.

The kitchen installation went fine (done by one of their contractors who did an excellent job and was very responsive) but the post-installation customer service did not. I had ordered two Blanco Napa soap dispensers (without reading the reviews for this product which warn of their defects). They were installed properly and worked at first but quickly stopped dispensing the liquid soap. Then I read the reviews and discovered that it is a common problem with this dispenser. I called Stonetek and spoke with two different people asking for assistance to obtain a replacement product. Despite being very polite, the first person hung up on me once she heard what the problem was. The second time I called, I was transferred to voice mail and left a polite message. No one ever called back. I guess the company doesn't care about customers after they collect your money. I can't recommend them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you value your time. We contracted with them through a local kitchen company as we believe in shopping local. They cancelled their installation time once without telling us and we were enroute to the location over 1.5 hours away when I found out by calling to confirm. The said if would take a over a week to reschedule as it was the fourth of July holiday. After much discussion they rescheduled and then once again they called to switch the morning they were supposed to arrive. We have paid them in full and have no idea if and when they will arrive. Their lack of customer service has completely sidetracked our project and I have no idea how they can stay in business. Stonetek offered no reason for their changes.

Stay far away from this company, I can only tell you my experience but from reading everyone's review customers get treated like an ATM. I was at home getting my kitchen ready for measuring within the 3 hour time frame they said and at one point I put my phone down. I missed their call no one knocked or rang my door bell when I noticed no ones calling I checked my phone, saw the missed and called back right away. I was told, well we did what we're supposed to do, he left already and you'll have to wait 3 weeks for him to come back because we're busy and that will be and additional $225. "additional" to my surprise. I had no choice but to cancel with IKEA and go elsewhere and had to put my kitchen back together. IKEA then told me that they were going to keep $225 or my money, trying to get help with this issue was like banging my head against a wall. I felt like I was robbed $225 by this company and IKEA... IKEA allows this company to charge at will for bullshit.

Don't even bother with this company. Very poor work. They will up make excuses and up charge you.

This company is to be avoided. They misrepresented services and did not follow through at all. I felt like they were lying about installation dates and in fact they were. Three days before they were to install my very large kitchen counters they indicated that they were not removing the existing counters and I had to get someone to do that. Then they said they would do it for an additional charge (surprise!) In addition, three days before installation they indicated that I needed to bring in my existing sinks (which I told them I was keeping) to make templates. They had already been out to make a template of the counters and presumably the sink space. Of course, they indicated I should buy new sinks from them and that would solve the issue. Bottom line, don't trust anything they say.

This company is full of up-charge games and delays. Paid in full for the countertop then...oh the upcharge call 'we need you to pay for an additional person for the install because one piece is too heavy'. So I paid the extra charge. Then the next game starts -- it been a month and I still DO NOT have a countertop or even an estimated date when I will.

Customer service has to be the worst in the industry, as previous reviewers state the try to place blame on contractors, designers, homeowners...anyone except themselves avoid at all cost

Don't waste your time with these guys. I gave them my exact dimensions and they gave my retailer the quote. Then they came out and measured and said it would be another 100.00 for the job. Then they cut it wrong to save money. So I end up with granite with the pattern running in the wrong direction on one piece. It took over 2 months to get the wrong piece replaced. There are plenty of other places to choose from. Look elsewhere.

I do not write reviews often, but I had an incredibly bad experience with Stonetek Imports, trying to purchase a very simple countertop for our new kitchen. They continually mis-set expectations. I was told if I gave a 50% deposit on a Tuesday, they could obtain materials by that Thursday and install the following week. This was not true, and in fact, four weeks later, we are still waiting. Meanwhile, attempting to reach anyone at this business on the telephone is an absolute nightmare. I cannot urge people strongly enough against working with this organization. It has really been one of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with a company in the business of supplying material or services for home improvement. Avoid at all costs!
