Just AMAZING! Signed the contract on a Sunday and was told they would be out to measure the next week and countertops in within 4days. All promises were fulfilled and my kitchen looks amazing ❤️. Ana Guzman, the manager, was great to work with and she was very helpful.

Our experience at the showroom was great - lots of selection, good customer service, very professional, and it is indoors so you aren’t hiking through a gravelly stone yard in the weather. Our salesperson was very helpful. The installers were also great and took lots of time to make sure everything was exactly the way I wanted it. The granite looks great, but after the sealer residue was wiped off, I found a number of scratches and a chip on it, several of them noticeable and up to 10” long. Not flaws in the natural stone but actual man-made scratches, similar to a scratch you would get if you dragged a needle over a newly finished wood floor. When the guys came out to look at them (and hopefully fix them), we were disappointed. They fixed one gouge, but they actually dug a bigger hole in the granite to do it, and you can still see where it is. They said the other scratches couldn’t be fixed because they weren’t deep enough. So after spending over $4000, we still have scratched granite. Pretty disappointed about that. We spent thousands of dollars on the project and it is already scratched up. So, if you are going to use them, I have a couple of suggestions. First, make sure you have the whole freakin’ day available for them to come to your house. We were scheduled for the template guy to come at 9:30 on a Monday (although the receptionist told us they might be early and come at 8:00am.) so I was up and had the kitchen ready at 8am. At 9:00am, I called, and was told they didn’t leave the shop until 9 or 10. I called again at 10:30am and was told they still hadn’t left yet. They didn’t come until noon. My husband ended up having to miss half a day of work and I had to leave before they arrived. The day of install, we were given the time frame of “afternoon”. I sat at home the whole day waiting for them to come. They didnt arrive until 6:00pm, and the install took over an hour after that. When they came to fix the scratches, they also told me “afternoon”, and they didn’t come until 6pm. Also, be aware that the day they come to do the template, you have to have all your plumbing already disconnected and they will take off your old counters. They won’t come to install the new granite for five more business days, so all that time you will be without plumbing or counters. Then, you have to wait 24 hours after the installation for your sink to cure before you can have a plumber reconnect it all. So unless you are a plumber, you will be without plumbing for a week. Just FYI.

I want to share a bad experience, but one that was made much better thanks to the people at Stones and Granite of Lexington. I ordered a piece of granite, for my kitchen. When it arrived it was delivered and installed perfectly, the craftsmanship on the edge and surface was perfect, but the color was completely wrong. I get that Granite is a natural product with natural variance, but this was really, really wrong. I called Kristen Perraut, and this is where the company really shined through. They could have just told me to just pound sand and deal with it, but to their credit they went back and looked at the reminants and completely agreed that the color was totally wrong and that it didn't match the slab I had approved. In the end, we were able to reach an agreement to get it fixed. I just want to say that I know mistakes happen, that can be true of any company, but when you find honest people to work with, who really try to do right by their customers, they deserve to be recognized. Thank you guys!

I purchased my countertops last year, and have been very happy with them! Today I had new appliances delivered, and for whatever reason, the new stove would not fit! I called Stones and Granite, and asked for help! To my surprise and delight, she sent someone out right away to see if they could help! Cody worked very diligently, and he was able to slide the stove back to the wall!! I was so relieved! And in addition, there was no charge for this! I highly recommend Stones and Granite for any of your needs, kitchen, bathroom, mantels. Stones and granite are very service oriented, and they really want you to be happy with their product!! Customer service started out great when we bought the granite. We were given a date for template but we were not told what time frame to expect even after asking for the time frame, same with the installation and then the granite was cut too short. Template was done another day than scheduled as the installation. We were told they could do a floating counter top which was a lie because they didn’t supply brackets to hold granite. It took over a month for the granite to be completed. Long story short, DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!! We will never do business with this company!!

If you have an existing kitchen and just want to upgrade, do not pick Stones and Granite of Lexington. What started as an exciting and fun upgrade turned into a nightmare which lasted almost a month… Long story short, after my grandmother passed away, my house became the Thanksgiving and Christmas family gathering spot. So, my husband wanted to replace my Formica countertops to granite. We are from Pike county in eastern Kentucky and we were in Lexington so we looked at Stones and Granite of Lexington, the experience started off ok, even though our consultant that helped us left in the middle of our consultation to go to lunch, but we know how hard it is to get good work out of people today, besides that and straightening her out on the price that she had quoted and written down 3 or 4 times she was ok throughout our journey with this company. We had to move out all of our existing countertops before the first crew came to measure. They came, were on time and we had to wait until the second group came to install. The installation group came, my husband took a day off of work just in case they needed help, they showed up at 3:00 in the afternoon, a bit late and my husband could have worked but ok, this is going to be worth it, we thought. The first guy came in and wanted to know why we did not have house numbers in eastern Kentucky, we thought he was joking and we do have a house number but it was on the porch and is a little hard to see, so ok. He also seemed to be a little aggravated. Next thing I knew he said it is going to get dusty in here. He started sawing granite in my house. After I shook myself out of my shock and I saw the dust going literally everywhere, I ran and shut doors upstairs and downstairs. I was told at the initial consultation I would not need to even take things out of my cabinets. After he finished there was and inch or inch and 1/2 of dust on everything in my house. He and his crew also left because he left some of my granite in Lexington. He was not pleasant in any of our conversations with him, he was actually a little rude and brash. I called the company and they did apologize, but it took me almost month to clean my house. I had to take down blinds and everything to get the dust off. I still have not completed cleaning all of my rugs. He came back about 3 weeks later to install, why they sent him back we could not figure out because I had told the owner how rude he was the first time. On his second trip, I asked him to put on booties so I would not have to clean any mess from this again, he did not have booties. So, I asked him to take his shoes off, he said that was against the rules. So, then I told him he could saw outside the garage and then come through the garage which would be the minimal mess for me, the customer. He got very upset because he said that waiting on the garage door to open, was getting old. So, he proceeded to scream at me, and tell ME, I needed a better attitude. Lol. Well, that did not go over very well with me since I had cleaned about 10 hours a day for three weeks and was very hateful to him as well. At one time I would not have been surprised if he would have raised his hand at me. Anyway, after 10 to 15 minutes of confrontation he left and came in and got all my granite that was not in place. I called again and again the owner apologized, but I couldn’t understand why she would not say anything about her employee treating me that way. After some research and reading some other reviews of this company I found out that this employee was the owner’s son. Lol. So, after all he was her baby and did no wrong. Two days later, Stones and Granite sent the first crew back out to finish the job. I must say they were on time and did a very good job. I would not do this again and this experience with this particular company was HELL! They did give us some money off, but not enough for all of my hours of cleaning and anguish with these people. So, If you want more drama and horrible momma’s baby in your house who still takes tantrums even in their 30’s or 40’s. Lol Then hire these people. But definitely stay away from this company if you want good service, and nice people that actually want your business. Also, I have learned to go with my gut and read and pay attention to reviews before hiring a company. A huge lesson for me. On a good note, my house is very clean!! Lol

We are so happy with our new countertops. From the search to installation, the staff at S&GL were top notch! They helped us to narrow down the choices to compliment our cabinets, floors & walls--and they were exactly right! Great installation; the seam is nearly invisible. The pricing is right and they honor those who serve.

Savannah and the entire crew made this a great experience. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The installers were extremely patient and kind. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job with the install. The foreman who measured before the installation was extremely helpful and really knows his stuff. He helped me make several decisions and advised me on a lot. Very happy with the quality and outcome!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new granite counter-tops. They were installed six days ago. Because a friend recommended it, Stones & Granite of Lexington was the first place I looked for counter tops. From that moment on, a benchmark was set. I spent two months looking further, though. During that time, I met with twelve other granite fabricators, granite suppliers, and kitchen planners in Lexington, Nicholasville, Stamping Ground, Frankfort, Winchester, and Georgetown. I created spreadsheets and a notebook full of notes, business cards, prices, pictures, and information. Stones & Granite of Lexington beat out the competition on every count: value, selection, quality, reputation, dependability, and customer care. A major factor in my choice was the sales representative Savannah. She is a true professional and knowledgeable. She facilitated every step in the process from helping with my pattern choice, to guiding me through choosing my slabs, to placement of the templates on the slabs. I had a glorious time with Savannah. We communicated through numerous texts, and her response was always timely. My dealings with Stones & Granite of Lexington is, actually, filtered through her. All that she did to help me with this experience is a wonderful reflection on that company. The product speaks for itself; it is perfect and lovely. The experience was delightful. Thank you Stones & Granite of Lexington, and Savannah. It was a pleasure meeting you and joy working with you.

Sloppy cuts which left our project less than it should've been. Really hope they can get the fabricating department straightened out. The granite itself is beautiful.

After waiting at the front to speak with someone, I was finally greeted (no smile) and asked to fill out a clipboard. My husband and I are looking to remodel our kitchen and just wanted to see granite selection. After waiting a couple more minutes a very rude worker, who CLEARLY did not want to help me asked can I help you. Hey! Good costumer service goes a long way!!!! Back to sucasa where I received friendly service! Do NOT recommend as far as customer service goes. I am a very warm person who always greets people with a smile and I felt as though I was putting them out. It's possible there is better costumer service here and I caught someone on a bad day, but, again, because of the poor service I will take my business elsewhere.

**EDIT - Rosie's response makes no sense. My vanity is one straight piece, so there was no need for a seam due to "movement." And they had the drawing (and template) of how to cut it without a seam. They messed up and just don't want to admit it. Regarding the gap, no explained to me why it is there - that is a lie. A rep was supposed to come out and look at the error, but he never showed up and Rosie knows that. Plus, the entire POINT of making a template is to compensate for walls that aren't straight. If they don't know that, then they REALLY have no idea what they are doing. Sink holes should fit sinks. Always. THAT is the industry standard.** I was excited to buy our quartz counters here because they had a great selection and the best prices, as well as good customer service. However, after issues we had with the fabrication process and now after receiving the finished product, I am incredibly disappointed. Before making my purchase, I wanted to make sure I had as few seams as possible. I needed to order two slabs in order to get my kitchen counter tops and my bath double vanity. One of the girls that worked there laid out the measurements for everything and said that my bath vanity would need to be smaller to make it fit or I would have to have a seam down the middle. My cabinets hadn't been made yet, so I figured I would just make the cabinets a little smaller. I went home and was instead able to lay out the pieces so that everything fit just fine without having to make the vanity smaller or have a seam. I went back and showed her and she admitted that yes, this layout would work. I would only have to have one seam in the kitchen, which is what I expected. She made a copy of the layout drawing to give the cutter. Working with the template guys was not fun. They came out to make the templates and totally contradicted what the girl in the office told me about the edges and the over hang. They also told me that the counters were too big and wouldn't fit on the slabs. I showed them the layout drawings and they agreed it was fine. They also put a nice ding in my brand new cabinets with one of their tools. When they were half-way through cutting my counter tops, I got a call saying that they had to put a seam in my vanity because it wouldn't fit on the slab. Turns out they cut the slabs incorrectly and now intended to just cut my vanity in two pieces because "it says in the contract that they can do that if they want to - it is up to the cutter." I strongly argued against this and insisted that this was an error on their part - they had already agreed that they could cut it without a seam. They finally admitted that they made a mistake and ordered a new slab to cut it correctly. When the counter tops were installed, they immediately had to take one piece back because the exposed edge didn't go straight back to the wall - it flared out at an angle for some reason (poor workmanship). Luckily, this was easy to fix and they took it back and cut it straight (leaving a jagged saw mark on the edge that I could see before I even got close to it). I had to have them come back again to polish off the saw mark. Unfortunately, there is nothing they can do about a portion of the counter that runs up to the stove. They INSISTED that the stove be in place before they made the template to ensure the counter goes right up to it perfectly. Well, one side is perfect. The other side flares in at the front and doesn't even cover the top of the cabinet beneath it. They also smeared glue around the top of my kitchen sink and just left there. They had to cut three sink holes and INSISTED on taking the sinks back to the shop to make sure the holes were cut out perfectly. And yet, none of the sink holes are right - the edges of the counter do not line up with the edges of the sinks on most sides. I complained to Rosie (who is actually very nice and very responsive to emails) who explained that rather than using cutting technology that has been around for 15 years, they cut and polish everything by hand so things don't come out perfectly. I kinda wish I had known that before I purchased my counter tops from them. Regardless, if they knew what they were doing, they still should be able to cut it by hand correctly. That is their job. I purchased quartz counter tops 10 years ago for a kitchen remodel in another state and the sink cut outs matched the sinks perfectly - it can be done. But not by Stones and Granite of Lexington. I now understand why their prices are lower - they don't do a very good job. Maybe most of their customers don't notice or aren't aware that edges and cut outs can be perfect when a company knows what they are doing. The material will be the same wherever you go, so do yourself a favor - pay a little bit more and go elsewhere.
