Everyone is great to work with. Danny the salesman is very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating to the customer. Daniel has worked here for 20 years and does the delivery. He delivered product yesterday, always helpful. Usually when staff is nice and friendly that means the owners are good people. I asked Daniel about that and he said the owners are great people and he feels fortunate to be part of the team.

Stonehouse has the feel of a high end store, but with competitive pricing and great tile. From some very nice Italian to some inexpensive options, I think they cover the range of options nicely.
The staff is helpful, and absolutely not pushy. That work hard to help folks find what's right for the job.
Contractor friendly, end user friendly, and designer friendly. What I am very impressed by was their ability to refer people to other places, if they don't have the perfect item.
Definitely a trustworthy place to do business with and I highly recommend them.

My first major remodel for my home....
Replaced the entire floor and added some accent walls with beautiful mosaic and marble tile. Eduardo was extremely helpful since day one. He went above and beyond to make the impossible possible. I feel like I got the best prices and the best service with Eduardo at Stonehouse. I know there were times when things were hectic at the store. Consumers can be so demanding! But I always feel like I was taken care. I will definitely use them again.

Our contractor sent us to Stonehouse Tile and we couldn't be happier. Todd helped us in the showroom and let us take samples home. He suggested we go to the fabrication site to look for remnants for a small job and we found the perfect piece. Andy Monica (owner) was at our place several times checking on the initial repair attempt, then made us a good deal when we eventually decided we needed to replace it all. Our installer was meticulous and professional - end result is beautiful tile floors we love. This company is top notch in my book!

My contractor recommended we check out the choices at Stonehouse Tile as we were unable to find exactly what we wanted from the larger tile companies. I was amazed to see the selection as their showroom was not nearly as large as the larger companies - they still managed to have a great selection. I found a tile that worked perfectly, the service was extraordinary, and the prices were surprisingly competitive (not something I expected since they aren't one of the mega stores).
I worked mostly with Eduardo who went above and beyond to be sure we got the tile we wanted. The guy in the back (didn't catch his name) was also very helpful - everyone was friendly.
I know one of the reviews complained about how expensive they were - I didn't find that to be the case. Of course, it depends on the product you select. We selected a tile that retailed for $4/sqft - w/the contractor discount we got it for $3.25/sqft. However, the choices we compared it to at the other stores were $10/sqft and $15/sqft. Needless to stay, we could have spent 4 times as much if we'd gone w/the more expensive tile. We actually liked the less expensive tile the best. That almost never happens!
I have two suggestions - 1) the showroom could be more organized and 2) samples are limited. Having said that, this is not one of the mega companies, so I understand the limitations inherent due to their size. Overall, my experience was 5 stars - I can definitely recommend this company.

After stopping by more than six tile outlets in the Coachella Valley, I returned to Stonehouse Tile which had originally been recommended by a property manager friend. There I had seen tile that I liked, and I spoke to Todd who made some recommendations and even pointed out a different tile that better suited my needs. In just a few days, he was able to get the tile ordered, shipped from Ontario, and jumped over some hurdles to make sure the installation was complete by the date we had to move in. We are delighted with the tile, the installation was professional and excellently done by Monica Tile, and we are most grateful to Todd for his expertise and his can-do attitude that assured the success of the project.

My old friend that lays tile recommended I visit this shop for tile ideas. The showroom is compact and cluttered but Todd did his best at hearing what our project consisted of along with the tile and pricing our budget allowed.
He even came up with a decorative tile to enhance what we want without being loud or obtrusive. We believe it is going to look much better than what we presently have without breaking the bank.
As a note we did check out another large tile/slab store in the valley that has the welcoming showroom you would come to expect. The thing is, their prices were much higher than here at Stonehouse. Tile.
Oh, and it is in close proximity to our humble abode.

Went there because Directed there by Sister Company hired to remodel a kitchen. Customer service was disappointing, both because hours ridiculous - close at 3 PM but also closed for an hour and a half for lunch. Also closed weekends except a few hours on Saturday. So unless you're a morning person basically lose out.
No readily available samples for many tiles And others too big and heavy to carry without help.
Many tiles displayed are so high up on the wall you can't really see them.
Bedrosians offers better selection, customer service and prices.

They were all kind of friendly but no one asked me what project I was working on......
And the choice of music is terrible. Singing about losing your penis is not the music I want to listen to while looking for tile for my master bathroom and family room
I won't be back bc of the service, selection and bad music

My partner and I made specific plans to drive to this store to look at their selection of quartz countertops since our general contractor recommended this place. After we arrived, parked walked up to the front and asked to see them a woman behind the desk denied us saying there was some sort of meeting that just started in the room where their quartz selection is located. WTF? You have meetings in areas preventing paying customers from seeing merchandise they would like to buy? She told us it would be at least a half hour. What were we to do; stand around in an overstocked, claustrophobic showroom and twiddle our thumbs for thirty minutes? I couldn't believe what we were told and they didn't care that we walked away.
We have three bathrooms we are remodeling and need countertops for all of them. Apparently, Stonehouse isn't hurting for business if they can block off merchandise for work meetings and send people away. Our time is valuable and we have a busy schedule. What a waste of our time. Not to mention, with obscene gas prices these days we just wasted for nothing.
We have been to this store before in the past to look for tile. Overall the selection we saw looked quite dull and it's so overstocked with samples overlapping each other. We didn't find anything we liked for any of our needs. I've been to many tile stores throughout the country. This one has a very chaotic feel. They really need a much bigger showroom to properly showcase everything they have. And they should also have a separate staff room for meetings that won't affect customer sales.

I am writing this review on a job that was completed in 2018.
It took me this long to decide that i need to let others know about the experience i had with this company!
Owner Andy is a craftsman! I believe he expect and hires excellent workmen as its reflected on the BEAUTIFUL job he did for our condo in PS!
I would give five star for the workmanship and how genuinely nice a person Andy is, but the experience with a company also includes their office staff and sadly two star is more then deserving for the back office and the sales office!
I have never experienced an office staff speaking to a customer the way the woman did when she spoke to me that one time for final payment! I don't know if they run on Net 30, but i know i did not held up payment! Just like i did not held up on all the previous payments!
I was taken aback by the immediate verbal attack she leveled on me! It was like talking to the mob shaking me down for money, she was rude, accusatory, just overall NASTY! I finally told her i will not speak with her further and have the owner call me for the payment!
I sincerely hope they have revamped the way their back office treat their customer because no customer deserved to be treated that way!

What a waste of time. My designer recommended this place even though he said he hasn't used them in a while. We walked in and there was a guy leaning on the counter looking at his phone. No one said hello even though I did so we just walked on by and started to look at tile. There was only us in the store but no one came over to help us. After some time we walked back to the front and asked for assistance. I was recommended to to talk to Todd by my designer who happened to be the guy leaning on the counter on his phone. I asked him to show me some tile and the whole time he was on his phone texting someone. I asked pricing and he said he didn't know and he had to look it up. Do you think he did? No he ended up leaving us and taking a call. We just walked out. What a useless salesman.

Customer service is non existent. I ordered tiling and was told the shipping company lost the shipment. Instead of just canceling order and reordering, I keep getting the runaround about no one returning calls or they are working their way up the chain of command to try and get the best person to speak to. Now what kind of answer is that. Now I have a torn up fireplace in my great room. I just want to get this resolved and feel like my hands are tied. This is a $1500 order

Purchased defective tile from this company. They ordered a second batch for us which was also defective. They ultimately replaced it with another product. All that said, they told me that they would cover the demo and reinstallation of the final product. After a month of stopping in and leaving messages I was finally told that I would have to deal with the manufacturer directly to be reimbursed. Typically I try to shop with a local small business to avoid this type of hassle. I do not recommend.

STAT AWAY! Total and complete rip off. I bought a lot of tile from them for a bathroom project. I needed to return 5 boxes of tile we would up not needing, and ordered 3 more of a less expensive time. They refused to take back the unopened tile but where more than happy to take my money for the new 3 boxes. Had they done what was right they would have owed me money. Stopped in to find out about bathroom tile. The man behind the desk was just chatting with someone. More chatting. I waited. When he finally got to me, I barely had time to tell him what I wanted when his cell phone rang. He answered it (while waiting on a customer...me). I waited some more. After several minutes of looking at tile by myself, I realized the salesperson couldn't care less and and continued on his extended phone call. I left and would not go back.

This place is crazy. Beware.
I am a designer and called them for a quote to install my own tile .
The job was very small about 70 sq. ft in a bathroom.
I almost fell over when he told me the price was $1800 for under 70 ft of tile
THATS $25 Per foot.
I have been in business a long time and had never heard an outrages price like that.
Do yourself a favor and find another company.

What is the fabrication and installation timeline for a countertop at Stonehouse?
Unfortunately, as part of our independent research, we were unable to obtain information about the turnaround time for countertop fabrication and installation from Stonehouse in Cathedral City, CA. Acting as a mystery shopper, our analyst attempted to contact company representatives to clarify the timeframe for a standard 83.4 sq. ft. countertop project — however, either the calls and messages went unanswered, or the staff were unable or unwilling to provide an estimated completion time. It’s important to note that situations like this are not uncommon: contractors may be overwhelmed with work, prefer to discuss project details in person, or choose not to disclose information during the initial contact.

Unfortunately, in the course of our mystery shopper research, we were unable to obtain information about the quote preparation time from Stonehouse in Cathedral City, CA. Our analyst may not have been able to reach a company representative, or the quote was never provided after initial contact. As a result, we are unable to objectively evaluate the company’s quote turnaround speed. This situation is rare and usually related to temporary workload or internal processing specifics. It does not necessarily indicate a low level of service — it simply means that we didn’t receive a response within the research timeframe.

Does Stonehouse offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Stonehouse performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Stonehouse provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Stonehouse, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Stonehouse in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
