Absolute worst company that I have ever experienced. They were beyond unprofessional, they do not care about your personal belongings. As they will just toss any of your stuff out of the way, more than likely breaking some of it like they did my keruig. Then the receptionist lady is extremely rude on the phone and has an Attitude like she has some high important job? Then finally they will bed and plead for you to take down negative reviews, turn off negative reviews on Facebook so you cannot express yourself there. Not to mention try to force the apartment complex to give them your personal email and phone number(which is illegal) but seems this “Stone Company” could care less.

Great company to work with for your flooring, countertop, wallpaper, or brick needs! No matter how small or big the job is, they are always there to make it happen. I needed to have some granite top coffee tables made for a job and they came out looking great. The Airline Hwy location has a great selection to check out.

They have very poor craftmanship and I have experienced issues within 1 year of their work. Sink has come detached with major gaps. They have tried to fix it again (poorly with gaps still) and caused other plumbing problems busting a pipe and then say you are on your own with absolutely no customer service or even a call back when a complaint was put in. WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND.

Remodeled our kitchen. The materials from Stone and Cloth were great. The service & billing not so much.
They significantly mis-measured the amount of material and then billed us for their mistake. I'd never do that to any of my clients.
They never mailed us a bill. Only emailed one to an incorrect email address. We moved and forwarded all mail to our new address. Still no bill.
When disputing the mis-measurement with them/our builder, they wouldn't speak with us given the time that had passed, but threatened a lawsuit instead and directed all communication through their lawyer.
Rather than fight with them or their lawyer, I paid the outstanding balance.

A friend referred me to Stone and Cloth last year, when I told her I was looking for a new stone for my breakfast table. My mother and I walked into their shop pre-lockdown and were warmly welcomed by Kelly Kirby. She gave me great suggestions for a replacement stone and a list of the Stone Distributors in town to search for my desired slab. Her suggestion for the marble was spot on and that’s the one we selected for our breakfast table. Since I placed my order during the lockdown, installation was delayed until phase 2 would allow for work to commence. During the waiting period, Kelly worked with me regarding having my existing breakfast table stone retrofitted for one of my bathroom counters. They removed the existing sink and under-mounted a new one to freshen up bathroom. At the same time, we realized the remaining piece of the slab for the breakfast table would fit perfectly in a second bathroom and a new sink under-mounted as well.
We are very pleased with the excellent fabrication of all of the stone work and the installers had been polite, thorough and efficient. I highly recommend using Stone and Cloth for all of your building needs.

Stone is a glowing model of a professional company. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly and offers exceptional service. They provide you with a truly custom, beautiful result by utilizing exquisite materials. They exceeded my expectations and I constantly see stunning work completed by them in homes as well as businesses. Kris Klar and his staff make you feel like their only client despite all of the projects they have. They take the time to listen to your ideas, answer any questions, and help you personalize your space in a remarkable way.. Kris is a refreshingly involved business owner who wants his clients to receive the very best service and perfect result. What more could you ask for?
Creative solutions, luxurious natural materials, wonderful people.....It's the only place I recommend and I KNOW that their many clients are enjoying their kitchen, living room, etc. SO much that they don't have the time to write a review! Check out the gallery on their website and go to the showroom.

This company was supposed to replace my countertops this week. Several other “issues at job sites” and kept delaying my date. They were supposed to come today (10/21). They demolished my countertops and left and won’t return any calls to me or to my apartment complex. Failed to walk the maybe 30 feet to the front office to let then know if any issues. The call log at the main office shows nothing from them. So now I have no countertops and no kitchen sink and no idea when the hell I’ll be getting either of those. Flung my personal items around. So unprofessional.
Edited to add: now, they are begging my apartment complex for my information to try and get me to remove this review. Told my property manager “regardless she wouldn’t have gotten her countertop”. You all messed up, own it. Extremely unprofessional to be asking me to remove a review about the issues you all put me through.
They did, however, finally come to install today. Was supposed to arrive at 9, did not arrive until 11. In the process of install, they damaged a wall in my apartment. I’m extremely unhappy with how this company did my home.

Kris and his team are the best in the business! Knocked it out of the park on an extremely detail orientated install. I’ve worked with ALOT of fabricators and these guys are at the top! Great communication upfront during the design phase and their installers were very polite, clean, and knowledgeable! Highly recommend these guys and I rarely do that.

What is the price category of STONE in Baton Rouge, LA?
Unfortunately, as part of our independent research, we were unable to obtain pricing information from STONE. Our mystery shopper attempted to contact company representatives to request a quote for the fabrication and installation of a stone countertop measuring 83.4 square feet. However, they were either unable to reach anyone by phone, or never received the promised estimate after the initial conversation.
We want to emphasize that the lack of response or data does not necessarily reflect the quality of the company's work. Acting as a mystery shopper, our analyst attempted to contact company representatives to clarify the timeframe for a standard 83.4 sq. ft. countertop project — however, either the calls and messages went unanswered, or the staff were unable or unwilling to provide an estimated completion time. It’s important to note that situations like this are not uncommon: contractors may be overwhelmed with work, prefer to discuss project details in person, or choose not to disclose information during the initial contact.

How long does it take STONE to prepare a quote for countertop fabrication and installation?
Unfortunately, in the course of our mystery shopper research, we were unable to obtain information about the quote preparation time from STONE in Baton Rouge, LA. Our analyst may not have been able to reach a company representative, or the quote was never provided after initial contact. As a result, we are unable to objectively evaluate the company’s quote turnaround speed. This situation is rare and usually related to temporary workload or internal processing specifics. It does not necessarily indicate a low level of service — it simply means that we didn’t receive a response within the research timeframe.
To get up-to-date information, we recommend contacting the company directly through our website — submit a request, call, or message them to receive a personalized quote and clarify current pricing.
Does STONE offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, STONE performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does STONE provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, STONE, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact STONE in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
