We would normally solicit 3 quotes for a major project but starting with South Star Granite in North Charleston, and dealing with Tom, we eschewed any further quotes. Tom was professional, personable and responsive to our desires. Once we decided on our quartz slab, the process for templating, demolition and installation was timely, painless and frankly, perfect. The post install cleanup meticulous. With new countertops and a fresh coat of paint, our 1980’s kitchen has been transformed. It’s now bright and updated. Thanks Tom for a great experience. South Star Granite is highly recommended without reservation.

South Star is my go-to for counter-tops. Extremely professional, great pricing and outstanding quality and craftsmanship. Excellent communication, and always on time. I was impressed by this company. Quality product, Competitive Price, Timely communication, and smooth delivery/installation. From the sales people in their showroom, to the contractor who came to install, everybody was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Their prices are perfect for all budgets. No hidden fees, no ‘gotcha.’ Would trust them again with my business should I need another project done. (The photos are missing my backsplash which I am installing myself so ignore my ugly walls.)

Excellent Customer Service and Flawless installation! My wife was researching countertop installation places for prices and the type of stone to use. She was driving by SourthStar on her way to an appointment with another vendor when she spotted SouthStar. We are so glad she did! The whole experience with SouthStar was perfect. Kaitlynn was very pleasant, knowledgeable, no pressure, and responded to all of our questions. She also told us about the pros and cons of the various types of stone slabs. Tom, who is on the production side has YEARS of knowledge and expertise. He answered all of my technical questions. The person who came out to take the measurements and do the template (Pinta) was very pleasant, measured very accurately since the countertops went in perfectly, and was also happy to answer my questions. The installation crew was very careful not to damage cabinets, walls, etc. They did a fantastic job. The job could not have gone any more perfect. In addition to superior Customer Service, materials, and installation, SouthStar is also unique in how they do their quotes. They provide a quote for EVERYTHING including installation. In visiting numerous countertop shops my wife discovered that many of the OTHER countertop vendors sell only the countertop, and if you want a quote, you have to notify your installation people. Who has “installation people”???? We did not. In these places, your installation people contact the countertop vendor, who gives the installation people the quote, who gives it to you. Who wants to do this? We wanted to visit a showroom, see the prices, tell them what we wanted, and get a quote. We wanted a one-stop-shop! SouthStar is a one-stop-shop. With SouthStar my wife communicated what we were looking for and provided our rough measurements and Kaitlynn showed her what was available in our price range for the ENTIRE JOB (material and installation)! And my wife received the quote within the hour, subject to the exact measurements that Pinta took when he came to our home. We would use SouthStar again hands down, and would not even go to any other places. And best of all, SouthStar gave us the best quote as compared to several other vendors.
