Wow! We have been searching for a place like this. A beautiful showroom and talented staff that listens and helps guide you through all of the overwhelming decisions that come with a remodel. They obviously take pride in their work and have quality cabinetry and countertops. Finally feeling excited and hopeful about the remodel!update: went back again to finalize our plans! So excited to see this beautiful kitchen come to life! We worked with Kim, she is amazing and helpful. Highly recommend!!

I had a great experience at Sims. It was a pleasure working with Kim McCourt. She was super knowledgeable of all things counter tops. Even after changing my mind 3-4 times she was very patient with me and worked me thru my decision. They have a huge selection of granite and quarts. I wouldn't hesitate to go back for any future counter top needs.

We used Sims-Lohman for our kitchen remodel and were extremely happy with Dave Thaler. We wanted to bring more light in to the room. He came back with a plan and he brought ideas to the table we never even considered. What I really like is that he challenged us on some of our ideas and provided sound advice to help guide us. He didn't just draw up a plan and take our order. The process (and the selection) when it comes to picking out cabinets can be overwhelming. Dave's experience in working through all of that was much appreciated. It seemed like his recommendations were centered around what was best for us. This was a big project for us and they really made it easy. The turnaround time on everything and the customer service from the whole team was impressive. Thanks Sims-Lohman - I LOVE MY KITCHEN!!

I recently bought a new build home w/a Sims-Lohman kitchen and spent the better part of a year trying to order a few more matching cabinets and upgrade our countertops. A frustrating experience that eventually got us (mostly) what we ordered. Here's a list of issues: - Dayton showroom exists, but is never open (even during their posted business hours) - Dayton showroom phone number links to 2 different employee phones. The first is a former employee whose phone # is disconnected. The 2nd goes to voicemail that never returns calls. - Sales people are nearly impossible to get ahold of. When you do finally get ahold of them, they often don't return calls/emails. - The cabinet our sales person ordered did not fit our built-in oven despite providing the manufacturer requirements. When politely presented with this issue, the salesperson eventually stopped responding for weeks. They only started responding again after I informed them that I modified the cabinet by removing the floor, portions of the face and adding extra support elsewhere to get it to work. - Countertop install team arrived without one of the granite pieces and did not know why. After investigation, they found it was broken during fabrication and had to come out with it the next day. - The replacement granite piece was much thicker than the rest of our countertops. The well meaning installers tried to trim it down on-site, but ended up trimming too much on one end. So now we have one granite piece that is noticeably thinner than the rest right in front of our cooktop. - Installers were not aware of our provided cooktop dimensions and left the gap larger than the manufacturer listed maximum. I've had to fix by adding wood shims around the gap. - Sims-Lohman does not allow you to pay by any method other than mailed check. Predictably, they had trouble finding one of our two checks and threatened to delay install, despite me following all directions to include PO numbers on the checks. After I sent a photo of the check I envelope, they were able to locate it. - Our sales person required a deposit check for half the amount. We assumed the other half was due upon install, like most businesses. Turns out they need half payment to order the materials and other half before scheduling install. This was not explained and makes little sense as we ended up having to send in the two checks 2-weeks apart, but with nothing visible happening on our end. If nothing customer facing is happening between the 1st and 2nd check, they mine as well just ask for the whole amount at once. The good: - Their Cinci warehouse/showroom is huge. Very impressive operation w/tons of selection. Granite is gorgeous. - Staff was friendly and our salesperson did accommodate us for a visit late in the day w/our young child in tow. - Installers were on-time, professional and friendly/knowledgeable. They did a great job with our undermount sink install as well. - Prices seemed fair.

We had a great experience with Sims-Lohman! From Kim in Sales to the installers & Bob, everyone was friendly, professional and willing to help. We had a small issue with a piece being left out behind our slide-in range and Kim & Bob responded via email immediately and had someone back out in 2 days to fix! The first team of installers noticed an potential issue they brought to my attention and I was able to communicate with my contractor to ensure it wouldn't be a big issue.

We couldn't be happier. Great experience working with Kim. She is very knowledgeable and was a great help guiding us through the whole process of picking cabinets and counter tops. Everything came in on time or a bit ahead of schedule. One cabinet had minor damage during shipment but Kim got right on it and resolved the issue quickly. Installed the cabinets DIY and the Sims team that installed the counter tops were very professional and counter top install went without a hitch! Highly recommend!!

Sims-Lohman and specifically Mikey Griffen, made all the difference with my recent kitchen reno. We truly could not have done it without Mikey! His knowledge and patience throughout the process made it possible. He provided us with a design that utilizes all our space thoughtfully and brought my (not fully-formed) vision to life, even on a tight timeline, plus was quick to deal with the inevitable bumps in the road. The cabinets and counters we purchased are gorgeous, and everyone we dealt with through the process was great. I would recommend Mikey's talents to anyone- if you are considered a reno project he's your man.

Horrible customer service and product not guaranteed. They left plenty of seams for us to clean and did not seal properly at installation. We were supposed to have one of their reps come out today at 3pm (09-21-2018) to tan the entire granite (cover up for the darkened areas because the tops were not sealed properly). The representative showed up at 1:15pm and no one was home. So they told me to reschedule. They just assume we are sitting around and have no other work to do. No respect for other people’s time. Frustrating!! This was all facilitated by Dixon Builders. They may be harming your reputation. I would like to leave you my contact information; but since this is publicly viewed, I am refraining from doing that. I recommend reaching out to Dixon Builders they should have my information. My husband and I wanted quartz counter tops installed in our kitchen. I visited the showroom with a friend and chose the quartz I liked. I emailed the company on March 13th with a copy of my kitchen floor plan and counter top measurements, seeking a quote, fully intending to hire them as soon as they were available. I called them 2 days later when I didn’t receive a reply, and left a voicemail. It took 3 days for a reply, and I was assured a quote would be ready by the end of the week. It is now March 30th, and I’ve not heard a word. Guess they don’t need the business??

I have used Sims & Lohman 2 times (different houses). My cabinets and countertops are gorgeous. They arrived on time and were installed by an awesome carpenter. The countertop experience is overwhelming (all the choices) their team made it so simple. Selecting the layout was so cool. Their team made selection and install seamless. They took their time during install to make sure that I was completely satisfied. I would highly recommend Sims & Lohman if your are looking for high quality experience and products/service.

We had some granite cabinets installed and I am very pleased with the service I received along with the beautiful granite. The installers were right on time and their work impeccable. I would highly suggest if you are looking for kitchen/restroom cabinets and or countertops, you make a trip to Sims-Lohman and check out their selection and showroom.

Sims- Lohman's Greg Weis did a great job for us on our bathroom remodel. He was very knowledgeable in designing and recommending the right cabinet and top combination for our bathroom. His kindness and patience with us during our decision process was greatly appreciated. He kept us well informed during the manufacture and delivery/installation process. I have used Sims-Lohman for over 60 remodels. If something is wrong- they take care of it. The quality of the cabinets are great. I have purchased from them high end cabinets for houses over 600k and cabinets for properties from 100k and above. The staff is amazing along with the granite choices they have.

We have worked with Sims-Lohman for our own homes and for our real estate business and have worked with several of their representatives over 30+ years. In recent years, their shift to catering to builders has made them slower to service residential clients and our small real estate businesses. But, their products have remained good and, while slow, the service is very good.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Sims-Lohman especially the staff. Lisa Hartman was so very helpful in taking the time to help me find the right granite by walking with me through the showroom more than once and bearing with me as I changed my mind in the process. She is very friendly and kind. Also the service was prompt and efficient getting the finished product to our home in a timely manner and ready to answer any questions that my husband and I had. All in all, it was a good experience and I love my new countertop. It is gorgeous!!!

THE WORST SERVICE EVER! Theresa came out to measure, said she would have a plan together in two weeks. Never heard back from her. No phone calls to the sales department were ever returned. I spent my $70,000 on a new kitchen at Nisbet Brower with great results.

We had our kitchen re-designed but it took three designers to somewhat get it right. We have leftover trim pieces. The trim for around our refrigerator was measured incorrectly so instead of looking recessed, it sticks out. The splashes around our sink were either placed upside down or they edges were not buffed to shine. Sink dropped after 3 months, had to have sink clips reinstalled. When they cut the splashes down because they were measured too long, they cut them in my driveway with the debri and grit on my house and driveway, they didn't clean up after themselves. If I had to do it all over again, I'd go somewhere else.

I would give these folks a negative star! They use Covid as their reason for inefficient activity! You cannot even leave them a voice message & they say thank you for your understanding. I have never had a phone call returned and service is terrible! No call backs so I visited there personally & still got no help! Be aware! Dan

I'm surprised these folks are still in business! We shopped long and hard at numerous granite companies in the area to find the perfect granite countertop, asked all the right questions, were told all the "right" answers, and decided to go with these folks. But unfortunately, their answers were not accurate. Although being told numerous times that the granite we chose would stand up to almost anything, we have experienced numerous scratches, chips, and cracks! (A soup can falling on it chipped it! Screws in a piece of wood laying on it scratched it! A hot dish sitting on trivet cracked it!) And although we contacted them the 1st month of noticing problems, they did nothing for us, and then just stopped returning our phone calls! They're great - as long as you have no problems.

Update 9/26/2016: I did not post inaccurate info and have detailed documentation. I stand by my original review. Use this company at your own risk. Original review: Horrible bait and switch by incompetent sales staff. In May 2016 we received a bid for a cabinet order through Sims Lohman for Kemp Cabinets. Great price! Then as the design finalized, the final price JUMPED by over 50%. This was two months later, and design changes we made were quoted as cost savings, no charge, or minimal charges. I expected a ten percent bump from the original quote. We complained and asked for an itemized bid, and learned that the initial quote DID NOT INCLUDE FINISH WORK. In other words, two months were wasted because Sims low balled the initial bid then stalled and stalled at getting a final order in. When we raised this as an unacceptable issue, the sales manager told us sorry for the inconvenience. INCONVENIENCE??!! This was fraudulent and cost is hundreds of dollars in lost design fees and delays. Absolutely horrid company. DO NOT USE THEM.

After researching/shopping/comparing countertops we settled on granite, but discounted everything our designer suggested because it was schist (scratched easily). We found "Canyon Dawn" at Sims-Lohman and since the hardness factor was of primary concern, we quizzed sales person Darlene Bossert more than once on this and were assured that only a diamond or another piece of granite could scratch it, and that it could withstand direct heat. Imagine our surprise after installation when knives, keys, etc not only scratched it, but it cracked from a heat source sitting an inch above it. They returned once to buff out the scratches while they were replacing a small chunk that was sloppily installed, and later promised to return to check on addtl scratches/the crack. After mths of inaction, we reported the problem to the BBB; their response was that Darlene denied to the president of the co. that she made these stmts to us, and they have refused to do anything more. Lousy customer service after spending over $8,000, misrepresentations about their product...look elsewhere. Done
