Our new stairs are beautiful. We had been wanting to redo them for a while. After meeting with several tile and flooring providers, we decided to go with Simmons Floor Covering. Brian Johnson came to our house to meet us and discuss possible materials and designs. He was very knowledgeable and stayed true to his commitment to be there throughout the entire process. The installer (Bruno) did it all...demolition, prep, and construction. He took his time and really paid close attention to the details that really make the stairs even better than we imagined.

We needed to replace our old tile floors due to breakage. A friend referred Jose’s team at Simmons. Jose was professional and personable and even brought samples to our house. We decided to go with a European White Oak which was a big change from the dark floors. However, the lighter floors make our house look so much brighter. His team made sure to properly prep the floors before beginning the install and took pride in their work as is evident in the finished product.

Best experience ever! Simmons wasted no time in getting to my house for measurements, loaning me samples, getting me a quote and installing my carpet. I loved the efficiency of the process, the friendliness of all the employees and I LOVE my carpet! Outstanding all around! I needed new carpet for my home and chose Simmons because they’re a local company and they have great reviews. I’d never bought carpeting before, but I stopped by their showroom one day and met Josh, who became my project manager. He listened to my ideas, provided his expertise, answered my questions and sent me home with some color samples. When I decided to move forward, he worked with my schedule to come out and take measurements. Overall, everything went smoothly because Josh did a great job keeping my project moving efficiently and keeping me informed. When it came time for installation, Julio and his wife did beautiful work. Their quality was impeccable and I couldn’t believe how fast they were. Also, I so appreciate how careful they were with my freshly painted baseboards and walls. My new carpeting looks amazing! Thank you Simmons!

We had a dishwasher that leaked and damaged some of our wood flooring in the kitchen and a section in our dining room. After we had restoration done we were looking for someone that could help us with the repair process. We were given a referral to Simmons Flooring where we had the pleasure of meeting Brian Johnson our project manager and the owner Scott. They were very professional and helpful and put us at ease about the situation. Brian scheduled everything in a timely manner and the floor repair team did an outstanding job as well as the painters team that finished the job up. You can not even tell that there was a repair done. We are very pleased. Brian always followed up with a text to let me know time of arrivals for repair teams and showed up on site to make sure we did not have any problems. I would so recommend Simmons Flooring. They do all sorts of flooring, renovations and remodeling. We will be using them again for future projects.

We could not be happier than we are with the Simmons Flooring installation at our house. Josh was our project manager who was excellent to work with. He helped us pick out the carpet, laminate and tile to be used. He also was nice enough to work around our schedule. Rano and his crew came in first to perfectly install the laminate floor. Then Julio and his family came by to place the carpet. We couldn’t believe how nice it is. They made the whole process smooth as silk. Then Carlos and his group came in to do the tile. We have been shopping for flooring quite a while when we discovered Simmons Floors pretty close to our town. We visited on a whim, and we couldn't be more pleased with the entire process. Josh Holden was our project manager. He gave us great information, time and space to make our decisions. He gave great communication from start to finish, checking on the installation team in person and making sure we were happy with everything after installation. The installation team was excellent. They were punctual, arriving on time each day; efficient, completing each days work within 6 hours; and clean, leaving no trash and cleaning up after themselves. The work they did was excellent. The floors we chose were Karastan LVP in Russett, and they are beautiful! We plan to enjoy them for a very long time. I highly recommend using Simmons Floors over any of the Big Box stores. The personal customer service made us feel valued and taken care of.

I cannot speak to reviews from many years ago, but my salesperson, Jose and the Simmons team were GREAT. Jose was communicative and responsive every step of the way. We did a major whole-house renovation with Simmons (over the Christmas holiday and while we were living in the house), tearing down/adding walls, changing the trim, ripping out old dark tile and brown shag carpet and replacing with beautiful white oak hardwoods and lovely light carpet. The flooring installation was impeccable. We also had the interior of our home painted from floor to ceiling, added a secret bookcase door, and the Simmons team renovated a useless sunken second family room into a private suite complete with a kitchen. I cannot say enough about how thankful I am that I found Simmons, and working with Jose was an absolute pleasure. Our house went from VERY dark and terribly dreary to light, bright, and beautiful! I would absolutely recommend Simmons to anyone who is looking for quality flooring and installation at a fair price, (believe me, I shopped around) or even a whole-house renovation like we did. Dealing with Scott at Simmons' Denton location was one of the high points of rebuilding our home after it was destroyed by fire. They had everything we needed in floor treatments plus tile for our bathrooms walls and showers. A huge assortment of wood flooring and carpeting. Very competitive prices. Their installers did a great job bringing our vision to life. Great follow up and superb customer service. Scott made several trips personally to watch over the work and be sure we were 110% satisfied. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a broad assortment of brand name products, good prices, quality workmanship and follow through long after they've made the sale. Ask for Scott when you go in. He'll treat you like family.

Thanks to a hot water leak I had to have all of the wood floors in my house replaced. Simmons did a fine job. The floors were removed quickly and, once the new wood had had a chance to acclimatize to the temp/humidity in the house, the new floors were installed, sanded and finished quickly. There was never a time where I was left wondering when or if they were going to show up. Helmut supervised the entire process and was very professional and always kept me informed as to what was happening and when. He was great to work with. I'm very happy with the new floors and how well, and quickly, everything progressed. I've got a room that I plan to update with hardwoods at some point and I'll be calling these guys when I'm ready for that project.

They were patient with us as we worked through several wooden floor choices. The installation was all done in a timely manner and the result was beautiful. Small corrections were made smoothly. Simmons truly did a great job with our wood floors. My wife and I just bought a house and the house had wood floors in it. Unfortunately the folks that sold the house to us did not take great care of the floors and we noticed a couple places where the 'wear and tear' on the floors had made its way through the poly-urethane and the stain: meaning we were going to have to sand, stain, and poly the entire wood area. Simmons worked us into a short time window in order to finish the floors before we moved into the house. Their flexibility with our schedule, attention to areas that needed additional shoe molding, and professionalism with matching the stain and finish were all great reasons for us to use Simmons again. I would highly recommend them.

Floor installation complete! I had initially gone in to have one area of the house done, but because the labor costs were going to be a certain amount anyway, we added on another room. So we had wood laminate-type flooring done in one area and carpet in another. It was still a very reasonable price. I work during the week and wanted to be present when the work was started or ongoing in case there were any issues/questions, so I chose a Saturday. If you can have the work done during the week, I think I would really recommend that instead. First of all, they can start earlier (on Saturday they don't open til 10, then have to load up, etc. etc.,). I'd say the work got started around 11a and the crew left by 6p. They were obviously pretty tired so we had to ask them to do a few things we shouldn't have, like re-attach the air filters and cover for the vent (which they had taken off). Also, the master bathroom was left with some trash on the floor and the cabinets under the sink were weirdly trifled with? But these were just minor oddities that really didn't have to do with the quality of the work, which we were otherwise quite happy with. We did notice two areas that hadn't been done properly (and not huge issues, but still), one of which we caught as the crew was leaving. They said it would be taken care of Monday AM. And it was! It's ok when snafus crop up, it's how a place handles them that matters. It was always easy to get someone to call me back or to follow up on issues. Someone did come out Monday AM without my having to call, but I had to call anyway regarding the 2nd issue (we hadn't mentioned it to the crew since we only saw it after they left). All the problems were resolved within an hour. And now my hallway has a sexy wood floor and the master bedroom has pretty deep-piled carpet. I would say, to be on the safe side, assume it will take a little longer than the estimated time because you never know what little delays will come up! I was happy with the work and would certainly hire them again...but maybe on a weekday this time!

We had Simmons Floor Covering replace most of the carpeting in our home and upgrade all of the tile in our master bath. We got several estimates and found Simmons to be in line or below the other estimates. Working with these guys was very easy and they did an outstanding job on the installation. They were glad to work in our special requests in the master bath and were glad to work around our schedules. We're extermely pleased with the end product. Made our house ready to live in quickly. We bought a fixer-upper and wanted it cleaned up before we moved in. Found Simmons online and chose them for good prices and reviews. Called and Larry answered my questions about prices for flooring, and after listening to what I was looking for he suggested a vinyl plank. It was the right price, so I researched it then went to the Denton store to see it. Perfect choice! The home appraiser and realtor thought it was real wood. (but my dogs and kids won't ruin it) The installers removed the dirty carpets and old tile and linoleum flooring (a dusty project) and laid the new vinyl planking very well. Simmons granite was priced very well and after seeing it in Denton we ordered it for the kitchen and bathrooms. Simmons took measurements and got the floors and counters done before we moved into the old 70's house. It now looks like an HGTV updated home.

Besides the typical nonsense you get from flooring sales people, they overestimated the quantity of vinyl plank to do the job and refused to take the excess back, even with a 30% re-stocking fee. The installers did a good job; no complaints there. Otherwise the rating would be 1 star.

Simmons Floor Covering carries some beautiful carpet and Helmet was very informative about the aspects of each type of carpet which was very helpful in the selection process. We were allowed to check out samples and take them home to nail down the carpet best for our rooms. Martin was great when he came by to verify our selection, measure the rooms for quantity needed, pad recommendations, and scheduling our install. I would have scored them a higher rating except for the fact after spending over $6k on carpet, Martin called & told we would be charged an additional $30 for extra tack strips needed for the install. Really? Ridiculous.

First of all. The sales guy said he can give us a 500 discount. But the 500 actually cover the extra cost of leveling the floor. That was a lie. Second of all there was no communication between the so called supervisor and the sales guy. The supervisor showed up and gave his phone number and said if I need anything to call him, he had to fix his truck. Never seen him throughout the job on the install. So the installers show up I tried to explain to them what was going on and they act like they couldn't understand. The supervisor showed up late. So they workers set up in my flower bed. Sawing the wood. I told them to set in the driveway. They didn't understand me. They walked back and forth from the living room through the kitchen with no paper or plastic on the floors. They had a trail of mud through the kitchen out the front door. Also slopping mud for leveling all over the walls and furniture. So to some it up. No communication on anybody's part. Installers don't care about the customers property. And the sales guy lies. But all that love the wood floors. Could have been better customer service.

Overall: Stay away, this place is expensive and does not communicate with customers well. You can find better value options nearby with ease. Simmons claimed in a response to my google review that this was caused by a general contractor. There was no general contractor involved so this is completely untrue. Jose Enciso at Simmons was who I worked directly with and he was responsible for setting everything up. 1st experience: I was in a rush and did not have time to check other quotes. After the fact, I learned I had paid about double what I could have to have the same flooring installed when all was said and done. I had continual issues in contacting the rep I was working with and I believe the install had to be delayed. I was also given a quote for a specific part of an install but when they showed up, they wanted 2-3 times as much (I can't remember specifically). On this first job they did not leave the extra materials for future replacements although I know there were spare pieces. 2nd experience: Told me they had the flooring. After 2-3 weeks they said they couldn't get it, but could get something similar. This would not work as I was not going to have 3 different types of flooring in the home. I went somewhere else and found the same flooring available at 1/3rd of the price they quoted for materials and found someone to install for less than half of their quoted price.

Simmons Floor Covering did a TERRIBLE job installing the new floor in my mother's kitchen. There were numerous gaps where the flooring slats did not come together, and it took several months for Simmons to finally start coming out to remedy THEIR bad installation. There is STILL a very obvious 3/4" gap at the base of the island which houses the stove top, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE KITCHEN, where it is MOST noticed! And that is ACTUALLY a 1 1/4" gap where 3/4" of the gap is covered by quarter round trim! There are several other gaps that have not been fixed either, but my mother, who is 80, said she just didn't have it in her to continue trying to get Simmons to finish the warranty work from their POOR installation. (My dad, at the time, was on hospice there at the house, and she was trying to deal with that as well.) Infortunately, I was living 800 miles away at the time, and was unable to oversee the substandard job Simmons was doing. I am shocked at what Simmons considered a "finished" job, and would NEVER recommend or USE Simmons Floor Covering again! Simmons is overpriced, and they are very difficult to get in touch with when trying to get them to warranty their work.

I had an awful experience with Siegfried, who came out to our new home for a flooring consultation. I am not sure if it was because I was young or a woman or maybe a combination of those, but within 2 minutes of me welcoming him inside our home, our conversation was already awkward. I let him know this was my first flooring consult and that this is our first home, so I was new to the remodel process. I kept having to pry for information and ask questions to have him explain the process and see what information he needs. It felt like he didn't want to be here and that he was not taking me seriously at all. As we were walking around the home he said THREE times that the company works very hard for their online reviews (most great companies do not ever say this imo) and that he "doesn't want to give me a number that will blow me away and then I choose to go with another company because they give me a lower quote." He had not even given me any type of figures yet.. He was talking to me as if I was poor and wasn't ready to hear a number. He then starts talking about cheaper flooring options that I did not ask for? While we are a young married couple, he has no idea if our financial situation is good or bad and either way he should treat potential customers with more respect. When my husband got home and joined us, it was like Siegfried was a different person. I couldn't even be in the same room while they finished up the consult because I was so upset and confused at the treatment I received when Connor was not there. We will definitely be using a different business for our new floors.

OMG if I could give these people 0 stars I most definitely would. Helmut found the tile I needed and I did appreciate that. I went to the store to order and stood waiting for someone to ask if I needed help for about 15 minutes. The guy sitting behind the desk did not even acknowledge me. It so happened that my sales guy walked in and asked if I had been helped. He showed me the tile samples and they matched! Thank goodness. I then went to purchase the tile and they would not take my credit card because it was in my husbands name. They told me to have him call in and give them the info. My husband called and they told him he had to come in to show a picture ID. This is over a $130 order. Are you kidding me? He told them his time was way more valuable than that and they said it would be best if they didn't do business with us. I called to see what brand the tile was but they told me they were not at liberty to say. Really? Ok folks I called a tile company in Dallas, gave them the style of tile and item number and they tracked down the brand and got it for me at 1/2 the price I was going to be charged by Simmons. I would never recommend this company just because of their attitudes and secondly the high prices.

I'm really disappointed in this company. Had a coupon for them, they came out to measure 2 baths and kitchen counters. They were 900 over my other bid. I told Larry from their office that I was going to use the other company and I hoped the bid on redoing the bath area into a walk in shower was more competitive and he didn't bother replying back to 2 emails. Guess they are so busy they don't need the business. Me, I don't have time to deal with bad customer service and stupid people.

They refinished the floors but left a bigger mess with baseboards being damaged and scratched. They did not address the issue and I had to pay an additional $1,000 to another contractor to fix things. When I contacted them, they were rude. Charged my card immediately without even checking with me. Big mistake! Stay away from them.

I had a large insurance claim due to water damage. The main contractor subbed out the flooring work to Simmons Flooring. New flooring needed to be laid because water had damaged the old floor. In addition to the insurance part we asked to have a side job of tearing out carpet on two sets of stairs, two landings, and a hallway and replacing them with hard wood. We got a side estimate and it was within the amount other contractors had bid. We put down a deposit with a credit card to get started. They showed up on time and started the work immediately. They worked fast at ripping out the old floor and putting down the hard wood. The wood then had to set for a week before staining. During this time my husband and I went through and had some concerns about an uneven stair and several large gaps between the baseboards and the floor. Also we wanted to know why they hadn't removed the baseboards to put the floor on which was the proper way. We were told that when they came back and sanded that they would fix those areas and it would look just as nice. Once the sanding started we had to stay elsewhere for a week. I came back to check on the floors a few days later since I had not heard anything. They had already stained the floors and put down a first coat of lacquer even though we never picked out a color or was shown what they were going to do. I immediately called them to find out why this was done. The main contractor was under the impression we had picked out a color and said there wasn't anything they could do. If we didn't like it we could pay to have it redone. My husband and I went back over and decided it wasn't the color we wanted but that it would work okay because we decided it wasn't worth the fight. The flooring guys then came back and did the second coat of lacquer and then a few days later we came home and were able to walk on the floors. When we got back to the landings and the hallways the large gaps were still there and where the floor meets the other rooms nothing had been done. They also did not caulk where the floor meets the walls. Then I found out the flooring company had charged the remaining balance to the card I used to put the deposit down even though I never signed anything saying they could or did a final walk-through. When we contacted them about it, they said that the contractor that subbed them out was going to have to put quarter round down to cover the gaps and they would have to caulk and paint it as well because that was not part of their work. And when asked why they charged my card without my permission I was told, "Well when we are done with the work we get paid" and offered nothing else. So, needless to say, they cut corners by not removing the baseboards to put the flooring down and now we have to pay a different contractor to either cover up their mistakes or rip out the floor and do it properly in addition to the cost we already paid. If we had went with another contractor they would have done all of these things because it was included in the estimate and not additional. All of this plus they have already paid themselves so they don't care. I would never recommend this company and would avoid them.
