These guys were an awesome company to work with. All the work they did was so beautiful. Our home in El Dorado Hills has never looked better. A great small family business local to the area. We have another home in South Lake Tahoe that we look forward to having them work on as well. I would highly recommend Silverado Stone Design in Cameron Park. Be sure to book early as we did have to wait, as they are booked for 6 weeks out.

Came to my house in Idaho, measured the counters, left. Came back, put in FANTASTIC counters! The quality is second to none. each pc of stone is perfectly matched in grain flow to the next, and there is no lip from stone to stone. The stone is polished smooth, and I got a full bullnose on the end. It looks beautiful! Update: 10 years later still looks incredible!

I recommend Silverado Stone Design for custom stone work! They fabricated new granite counters for my kitchen and laundry room. They do amazing work and their customer service is OUTSTANDING! They adjusted their schedule to accommodate my plans, picked up my new cooktop and delivered that to me, and are storing some of my granite so I can use it for a later project.

David was just wonderful to work with as was his wife, Darlene. More importantly... We just love our new kitchen and the granite is the focal point, which everyone comments on when they first step in. All David's suggestions were spot on, from where to shop for the right granite, to adding cream quartzite to compliment our new granite island. He is professional as well as artistic. We had a challenge with the cabinets for our built-in oven with the dimensions being incorrect.. No prob for David, he customized the top and made it look better. David and his team fabricated and installed our Quartz kitchen countertops and they turned out fantastic. When I started the project, solicited and received quotes from over (6) fabricators. The pricing was inconsistent and the leadtime was long - most were quoting over (8) to get started and anywhere from 7-10 days for the actual fabrication. (Old countertops must be removed prior to starting the fabrication.) The slab pricing also varied quite a bit even though they were all quoting the same material from the same supplier. I also received different advice on using 2cm vs. 3cm thickness. It was hard to choose, because we were going to have to choose a fabricator, then we were going to have to wait. I received a call from David that another job slipped, so I was moved into the slot. The process was very easy. We talked about the details (edging, seam location, sink placement, faucet location, handle operation, air gap placement, etc) and fabrication started. David even made a few suggestions that save me money. In the end, I had great looking countertops that were priced competitive with the lowest of the bids I received, he beat every estimate and installed the countertops just 4 days after creating the template and the installation happened 6 weeks prior to what I would have received had I chose another supplier. All-in-all, a great experience and I would highly recommend Silverado Stone Design.

When it was time to up date the kitchen, we had hoped to hire someone local. Upon entering Silverado Stone Design, we met Darlene, who answered all of our questions and gave us a list of buisinesses that had large selections of granite slabs on site. Once we had narrowed our granite to specific slabs, Darlene even called around to find additional slabs to choose from. The timeline they gave us was honest and authentic. Our names went on a list, and we were told it could take about 4 weeks. However, they were able to do it in less than 3 weeks. When it was time for the actual fabrication, David, Darlene's husband, took over. He came to the house and made the templates. Eventhough, I commute and get home after hours, he stayed late, allowing me to help lay out the pattern pieces on our granite slabs. I am happy to report that David and his assistant Jason completed the job in 3 days, and that includes tearing out the old counters. He did a reverse reveal on the sink that looks so classy. The granite flows beautifully. They did a phenominal job. I have only one seam and it is almost invisible. David exceeded my expectations. If you are in need of someone you can trust to fabricate and install your granite, give David and Darlene a call at Silverado Stone Design.

David with Silverado Stone Design made and installed my gorgeous granite countertop's years ago in my kitchen. Due to the sun from a huge south facing window, and water at the sink it cracked in some of the quart's vein's around the sink. I called David and he remembered me and came right out to fix it. You can't even tell it cracked and broke. He is wonderful and I recommend them very highly! They do gorgeous work.

Our granite kitchen counter tops are a testament to a job well done! They are beautiful! David, the owner, took such care to keep the design flowing and seams are almost invisible. He listened to our ideas and questions and was professional every step of the way. He also graciously accommodated our last minute change in direction on the pattern, even though it meant extra work for him. He and Jason were a great team, and every phase went smoothly. From templates to fabrication to installation, we were completely satisfied and love the result. We are glad that we found such an amazing company and recommend Silverado Stone Design!

Just had my countertops installed by this company and I think they went out of their way to please me. The tops fit perfectly and they were very professional in every way. The cabinet installers left a mess but these guys offered to clean it up and haul the debris away. Will recommend them to all my friends.

picked out some stone for a fireplace hearth. Darlene, who works in the office, is very rude, she treated us like we were bothering her by showing up to look. She even apologized to us for being a "rude B" and then clarified that was "rude bitch" in front of our 10 year old daughter. Hubby picked up the stone a few weeks later and brought it home. When I got home I thought something had happened and he had dropped it or something because there was a very visible crack down it. He said no, he had picked it up that way. He turned the stone over and it had been braced from behind where it had broken and then been "repaired". How is this acceptable?! I sent an email to the owner David to find out how they were going to make this right. The response I got was very defensive, saying it wasn't broken, but a "vein that had began to open up once the piece was cut out on the saw." Call it what you will, but when you look at the pictures below, you decide. Whether you call this a crack or a "vein" it looks broken. I asked for a partial refund because I honestly didn't have time to wait to get a replacement piece. He didn't respond to my email so I called and said that I wanted a partial refund for piece and he said he could work on the esthetics of the original piece. By this point I wasn't comfortable going into the shop so I just wanted a partial credit so I could take the piece to another shop to fix it, but he said, "Structurally it is more sound than before we started." I told him if he felt good about the facts of this being displayed in a review that was fine with me. I paid $856 for this fireplace hearth... you tell me, if it were you, would you be happy?

AND - it just got worse!!! We found when we were on the last step, painting the bathroom, that these bozos did not use paintable caulk on the granite backsplash where it joins the wall. There is a 1/2 inch where no paint will stick. ARGH!!!! I now have to remove all the stupid silicone seal and replace it with the correct material. DO NOT HIRE THSES DIMWITS!
