Beggining to End ! The owner Ben came by to see what we wanted. Very helpful. We hired Him,Scan Top! His price was not cheap , But " you get what you pay for! One day, remove old counter top ( Nick & Dave & Ben came by) and measure. Three days later (Rocky & Arturo) arrive with countertop & install it. Wonderful attention to detail!!! To the 1/16 of an inch! They did a perfect installation.They were clean, attentive to every detail and left the place clean. Do I seem satisfied? Even the "receptionist" Karen, always polite and helpful. Do I seem satisfied?

Scantop was recommended to me by friend. I was fortunate to work with them as they provided me with the best price in the Bay Area and I called everyone on Yelp/Craigslist. Also, it was great working with their staff and the installers did an excellent job. I was rather nervous with the process but from start to finish it was seamless. They don't have many reviews but they are definitely a well known business in the Bay Area that's very busy.

We are so pleased by the recent countertop installation of quartz by Scan Top. Ryan Berglind and his team listened to our wants and then devised a plan to achieve the look we desired. The transition from old to new was as seamless as one could expect and the final project was beyond beautiful. The crew was courteous and neat. I only wish I had found Scan Top earlier!

We used Scan Top in January to install slab kitchen counters. They did a fantastic job! No seams, which is something we were very picky about. The installers were polite, friendly, and fast. Very happy that we found them for our project and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Scan Top installed my kitchen counters and they were absolutely fantastic. I do a lot of work on my own house and I am very detail oriented. I consider myself lucky when I have to hire out something and they meet my level of expectations. Preben and his team not only met my expectations but completely surpassed them and I cannot be happier with my experience. I spoke to Julia to set up my appointments and ordered my material. She was incredibly nice and helpful. Preben came out to measure everything and he was incredible. We had a large counter installed with an island and a bar top. Preben made sure we thought through every little detail that needed to be considered. He asked us things we hadn't even thought of ourselves and educated us on all the options, helping us visualize the result. He was incredibly nice, helpful, and amazingly patient with my wife and I as we worked out the last details. On top of all that, we called to see if we could add a laundry top to our order with ridiculously short notice (I felt bad for even asking). Not only did they accommodate our unreasonable request but what they provided for our laundry top was absolutely perfect. We ordered Silestone Desert Silver (quartz) which has veins in the stone. The cuts that they made were perfect. The veins all line up perfectly as they run across the top of the counter and down the edge in a seamless manner. They even managed to line up veins in the bar top and counter as well as the part of our large counter where a seam was necessary. Jose and Reuben as well as Preben were out the day of our install and these guys could not have been better to deal with. The install went perfectly. I can be a picky and easily disappointed guy but I can't think of anything that these guys could have done better. I don't leave a whole lot of Yelp reviews. I only do when something really stands out and I feel like they need to be recognized. These guys not only deserve 5 stars but I wish Yelp had some function that allowed me to note that they deserve a higher rating than any other 5 star I've given. 5 stars. A+. 100%. Two thumbs up. Choose whatever rating system you can think of and max it out. My experience with Scan Top could not have been better.

I have used Scan Top for several projects including kitchen and bath upgrades. Dealing with Ryan was easy and reliable. When i first looked into other counter top companies i realized that most of them don't have a real shop or do the installs themselves. Scan top is the place to go!!!!

Preben and crew installed our kitchen counter tops. They were all very professional. They did a great job and it was done at a very reasonable price. We would recommend Scantop to anyone and we would use them again. Also, their showroom is probably not as nice and complete as other countertop stores, but do not let that influence you in a bad way. They do have plenty of sample materials to chose from. I hope that helps. Best, Bill

I needed a top for a small vanity, so I went to a couple of local fabrication shops looking for remnant slab inventory. These guys had one of the biggest remnant selections of the local shops that I visited. Their price was 30-40% lower than the two other quotes that I received. The vanity top was installed 10 days after I picked out the slab, and looks great.

THIS is how to run a a business. Preben (the owner) ensures everything is done right and at the highest quality. I think he drives to all jobs. these guys do big projects (hundreds of rooms for e.g. hotels) as well as individual countertops. I had my countertop done for my bathroom vanity and the experience and product was PERFECT. Thanks Preben and Team.

A few weeks ago, my Dad called Scan-Top to see about making some modifications (for wheelchair access) on a Corian shower they had installed 20 years ago. We met with Preben to discuss the plan and then Andy came and did a wonderful job on the fabrication, even matching a discontinued Corian color. The modification was "invisible" -- it looked like part of the original design. Most important, using the shower is much easier and safer now.

Eight years ago, I bought my house in RW Shores. I completely remodeled the kitchen, and my realtor suggested Scantop for my counters. Preben introduced me to Zodiac, and his installers did a magnificent job with completely invisible seams. Fast forward eight years, and my counters still look brand new. Not a single chip or scratch. If I'd had marble installed, it'd be beaten up by now (I'm hard on my kitchen). My friends marvel at how great it looks... I marvel at how smart I was to use Scantop. ;)

Ive been working with Preben, the owner, for years now and they do excellent work. The review below is wrong - they have installed granite, zodiac (awesome synthetic granite) and even recycled glass counters for many of my clients and my own family too. They also have done corian for us. The zodiac looks amazing, and most people cannot tell its not real granite. They have a wonderful product, and stand behind the quality of the work. Great company to go with if you need any type of counter or even a shower encloser.

These guys do all sorts of counters (kitchen and bathroom) and they are good at it. In my experience, they were fast, accurate, professional, and their price is very reasonable. In fact, I did a kitchen remodel when I was unemployed and these guys found out and gave me a break on the price. What company nowadays would show such compassion? Kudos to these guys!

I have used Scan Top for my master bathroom and kitchen a few years ago and hired them to re-surface our brick fireplace. They did an amazing job! We are so happy with the outcome. Yvonne,Preben and Ryan are great to work with. Every question I asked was answered. They did an excellent job in our kitchen and bath that we didn't hesitate to use them again.

We bought Sapien Stone Pietra Grey and had Scantop install it three times. The first time the made the sink too small The next time they spalled (chipped) the edge near the corner and the installed dismissed it until the owner came in and agreed it was wrong The next time they came in and installed the Sapien stone and spalled it a second time. They claimed they could match the straight line of the diamond saw "not". When cleaning up the scratched a high-end Julian stainless sink using paper towels to mop up the chards. Maybe I'm critical? I hold a degree in Ceramic Engineering. Don't use Scantop for any porcelain countertop installations. No matter how they offset the price it doesn't match the quality of the countertop porcelain.

All I can speak to is the lady who answers the phone . . . but that is reason enough for me to advise you to look elsewhere. I called in after emailing a diagram with the dimensions of the counter that I wanted to order. The Scan-top lady told me that she would respond "maybe late today or tomorrow". This is after she was equally as rude when I called a few days earlier to inquire about what information they needed in order to provide an estimate. BTW - Scan-Top's competitors (listed on Yelp) were able to provide quotes with the same information in a matter of minutes and one even gave me an estimate on the phone. Bottom line: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, this business does not deserve your money.
