RMS as a whole is possible a 3 stars because of their so-so interaction with customer from the get-go excepted for Sean, a manager. Chris a demolition man came in on time and did his job however, a digital measurement template was off a bit since we are reusing our own sink so it has created a bit of modification which has shifted our countertop almost 1/2 inches toward the left in order to fit that sink in therefore we really like the workmanship with both of the installers in Ignacio and Lorenzo. They did an exceptional job and their manners are very professional so we are happy :) now we still await for a tile guy (s) who will schedule to come in a week after the countertop installation to do the backsplash. All in all, we must re install the kitchen sink, garbage disposal and water faucets, etc. ourselves in order for us to be able to use the kitchen for some cooking, just wonder if I do not know how then who’s going to be responsible for such a job whether the owner or RMS? Finally, to conclude the project from RMS, we are pleased with the tile backplash install group, and except a few glitches here and there but they have rescheduled (big holla to Juan a scheduler) to get personnel to go out and make us a happy customer! Thank you Chris and especially Ignacio for your awesome work/rework and best of all, your customer service skills

I strongly recommend Rocky mountain Stone because of the fantastic work they did not only for the selection of our granite but also for measuring and installation. A special shout out to Leonel, Joel, and Miguel for their careful attention to getting the details right and the installation perfect. Thank you. Thank you

Rocky Mountain Stone did an outstanding job on our countertops in our recent kitchen remodel. The whole team we worked with did an excellent job from the set up of the appointment (John and Juan) the templating (Lionel) and the installation by Raphael and Ricardo. Kim was very helpful when we realized we needed one more section added behind the stove and Alex found the match to our stone for that project. That portion is still to be installed but we are very excited for that to happen soon as well. We are very happy with the project and would highly recommend Rocky Mountain Stone for any project you are embarking on. Update: Ignacio came and installed the behind the stove portion today. And it came out great! A wonderful team and Ignacio did great work today!

We had such a great experience with the RMS crew installing our kitchen countertops in December that we used them again this month to put a granite countertop in our newly renovated guest bathroom. Chase helped us find just the right remnant, Juan worked a miracle with the installation schedule and Joel and Miguel did a great job installing the countertop and sink. We highly recommend this company.

Adan and Miguel did the demo work for my new countertops and they were very professional. There a slight miscommunication about this little pony wall that was a couple inches too high after they had removed the old plywood and tile countertops. I didn't notice until after they left but I called Rocky Mountain Stone (RMS) and they sent them back the same day to make it flush with the rest of the island. They did a great job with their demolition. RMS was very easy to work with! The install crew Lorenzo and Jesus had their work cut out for them because nothing in my 30 year old house is square! They had to shim and level all the countertops! Quite a bit of leveling in one spot! I was also impressed with the way RMS takes accurate measurements. They use triangulation with laser technology. There were a couple things I wanted to change about my countertops and they could accommodate it. I added a few extra inches over the bar stools at my island and I had a small ledge that had been used for an old house phone. They added about 3-4" of depth to it so I can put my coffee pot there now! Plus, eliminating that strange ledge on one end of the island and giving it a much larger cleaner look. I would add that I love my Pentalquartz Vezzano countertops! My backsplash (by others) isn't quite done yet in the photos.

Our first and only experience so far with RMS was amazing. The staff was helpful, respectful, very very knowledgeable and of course very professional too. Juan T was awesome at getting the project started and communication to us and then Joshua T came out and did the layout for us and Josh was just great and very precise and his work. Alex the programmer did a great job and then Aaron Project manager? (the mustache guy) was a badass at just taking the time to show us everything including the back facilities where they cut and make the countertops. Then when the install came The guys were so careful about installing it and very precise at their work too. That's when we met a slew of guys. Let's see, there was Aaron Green, Mark and Chris who helped bring the countertops in. They were all super friendly and professional too. Then the actual installers of our countertops, who did an amazing job were Joe and Aurelio, who were just awesome at their work. Our kitchen came out beautiful!!!!!! Thank you RMS for your outstanding work in making my wife super happy with her new kitchen. You'll always have our business! Oops I almost forgot Kimberly, her and another girl whom I forget, where so helpful in trying to answer the million questions I had. Happy holidays to all of you from the Henderson's

Aaron Green & Jacob did a great job. I changed the design last minute and Aaron was easy to work with. He knew that I wanted something more. He suggested the herringbone design which I love. I am so happy the way it came out!!! Great Job you two!!

My experience with Rocky Mountain Stone ran the spectrum. I proactively initiated all but the first communication. Office personnel attempted to be responsive but sometimes provided incorrect information. For instance, I was told that there had been no change to the square footage of my order, and less than a week later, on the day before my scheduled install, I was told there was $1,000 change to the square footage of my order. The installation team was great! They arrived for an 8:00 window at 8:00! Esteban and Miguel were respectful, low stress, quiet, and professional as they installed the countertops while I worked from my home office. I would not even have known they were there. The supervisor, Nash, checked in with his team, provided guidance and quality assurance, checked in with me and was also professional in his coming, going and his communications with me. The product and the quality of the install are very pleasing! My takeaway is to be proactive in your approach to communicating with Rocky Mountain Stone and be aware up until the install that your price may yet change.

Do NOT believe verbal quotes or promises. Family business does NOT honor them anymore. The father's word was good & true. The son's is not. No more honor in this "family" business. I and a friend spoke with owner's son who promised many perks. We shook hands to seal the deal. When counters arrived, I'm informed I received wrong information. The promises were not in writing. Therefore, none are honored. Spoke with son again & he denies all. $2,000 job turned into $4,000. Product is beautiful, but definitely NOT worth the end cost.

Everyone we have worked with at RMS has been amazing to work with. We appreciate Karen for her expertise and knowledge. John’s customer service has been top notch. Leonel was very knowledgeable and helpful in showing us the plans for our countertop. Although, we are only doing a small project in our home, they have been wonderful to help us keep costs down by using a remnant and have always treated us as we were spending thousands of dollars. We have future plans for other projects in our home and will absolutely work with them again and send referrals their way.

Started out good with selecting our countertop stone and getting pricing. But once the demo started it was a horrible experience. They were late for the demo and had to stop for a hour because one of their guys had to leave. Once done they left a mess. When install came they were late again. And also left a mess. We had issues with the veins of the stone not lining up. Because when we approved the layout we thought the veins would match up. No overhang on part of the stone. No vein bookmatch ends lining up. We were never told this about the island veins not lining up too. If we knew ahead of time maybe we would have chosen a different quartz. Tried to have someone come out to address our issue with that and they cancelled 3 times before finally seeing us and wasting our time with cancelling each time. And cancelled 10 minutes before the scheduled meeting. One guy came by and said he wouldn’t want this in his kitchen. Another said “It is what it is”. All we got was a 10% discount. Paying over 10k for a countertop we’d expect quality and excellent craftsmanship but that’s not was we got. We decided to go with RMS based on their reviews. Unfortunately not all of their jobs turn out good. And also make sure you check everything twice because they do not seem to care about making anything right and accept their faults. I was upset and had a few words with their GM. Tried calling the following day to apologize for the phone call the day earlier and they won’t even answer my call. By far the worst company we have worked with. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to them based on our experience.

So far so good. Today Leonel came out to measure for my new countertops. He was a pro and seemed to really know what he was doing. Later, I called Rocky Mountain Stone with a question about my order and Gabe patiently answered all my questions. He was so helpful and nice.

Despite a slow (partly on our part) start and a couple of glitches with counter installation (corrected professionally & efficiently & perfectly) our project turned out great! We have beautiful new countertops and backsplash. The tile setters were exceptional. Aron Green & Jacob were professional, courteous and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the results.

I'm in the middle of my fourth bathroom remodel, using RMS to supply the countertops for the vanities. To begin with, I'm a total pain in the rear when it comes to what I want and when I want it, very high expectations. RMS supplied the granite, or marble, previously, so I knew I would go to them again for my primary bathroom reno. During this process, I changed my mind three times (in a week), but the level of service never wavered. I called or emailed everyday and I although they didn't drop what they were doing to accommodate me, they did supply the information in a timely manner. The three previous countertops where completed with quality craftmanship and I'm expecting the same for these (two vanities). I highly recommend RMS and plan to use them again when it comes time to do my kitchen remodel.

We used Rocky Mountain stone to do several countertops in a renovation. Everyone we dealt with there was helpful, responsive and professional. We initially went on a Saturday when there's only a couple of people there right before closing to look at their 'bone yard', (pieces left over from other jobs). They didn't hurry us but instead were helpful labelEd the pieces and told us what to do next. Karen, Juan were great and prices were good. Their lead time was fast and their templalters and installers did a good job too. Very happy with the work and would definitely recommend them and use them again.

Glen E. Positive Experience: Earlier this month we purchased two remnants from Rocky Mountain Stone to be used in a bathroom renovation. Our Project Manager Chase Hanley was knowledgeable and helpful in guiding our decision, and easy to work with. The transaction was completed without issue. We had been shopping for just the right stones, and found their wide selection provided easy shopping in one place, and their pricing to be very competitive. The installation will be done through our contractor.

Hoping they will make it right..... and they did!!! We have a happy ending and we would use them for our next project. To be honest, we didn't start off well with RMS. We experienced multiple breakdowns in communication that left us with a bad taste. The scheduling for slab selection and installation didn't go well and we went round and round with our sales person. E-mail and phone calls went back and forth time and time again. The template team was on time and pleasant to have in our home. The seemed experienced and professional. We were able to make modifications once we had the template overlaid with the slab selected so we had the look we wanted in the granite. Install day. The installers were early! That never happens and we were thankful. The install folks did a great job. Problem is... We didn't pick the sink profile. Sort of important. We are wondering where that breakdown happened and why we didn't get to decide. Craig, the operations manager, got involved and MAN did he make it right. We will have to have the slab removed, a plumber come back in, then refabricated, and all put back into place which is no joking matter. But we are able to get a new sink and all the things associated with it at no cost. Craig was already working on a root cause analysis to help prevent this from happening to another customer when he got involved. The piece of mind that we are ending with will have us back at RMS for future projects and I would recommend their services based on the actions taken to prevent this from happening to someone else. The seriousness that this problem was address with makes me think they will fix the communication issues on the sales side as well. Way to go Craig!

I had Rocky Mountain Stone replace my countertops - put in quartz. The quartz is good but the service was not good. Their production people did a bad job, and the cut out for the sink left gaps in all four corners that had to be filled in, which should never had happened. When they came to do the repairs, the worker who put the sink back did not put it straight. Never got so much as an apology, and they left a mess both times they were here.

This is a follow-up review of RMS. A couple of years ago, we had our entire kitchen counters replaced by RMS with quartz countertops. The quality and craftsmanship were perfect! There was a slight flaw in one of the measurements where they had to cut the quartz countertop again, but it wasn't a big deal. When we purchased the quartz countertops, we included the kitchen sink and faucet option. We were told that the faucet was under a lifetime warranty, which I wanted because they do wear out and I wanted this to be a simple solution down the road. Over two years now, the faucet has become harder and harder to open and close. It's gone to where we have to use a lot of force to open it or close it. This has caused the faucet to work its way loose from the countertop. I try tightening the nut that's underneath the counter, but I don't have the proper tools to reach it. I called RMS to set up an appointment to have someone come by and fix the loose faucet. After a couple of line transfers, the receptionist asked me to leave a voicemail message with the service manager, as he was already gone for the day. If I recall, it was only about 3:30 PM. I left a voicemail message with the service manager but never got a callback to schedule an appointment. I waited four business days. I called the second time, and the receptionist struggles to find my account and installation address and reroutes me again to the service manager's extension who never picks up, and I'm routed back to the receptionist. She put me on hold two more times to the point where I just got so fed up with it and hung up. Horrible, horrible customer service! I don't know if RMS is having personal and staffing issues but improvement is needed. I guess I'm just going to go down to a plumbing supply store and purchase the tool for myself as I know this is eventually going to happen again. The faucet that was installed was not of the best or finest quality. I may just end up replacing the faucet myself in a couple of years with a much nicer model. We paid a ton of money for our quartz countertops and I'm very disappointed in RMS. We have two more condos that we are going to remodel and I was going to go through RMS but now I'm going to look for a new vendor. Wish me luck.

Really disappointed in their customer service. We walked in and told them we were wanting granite countertops. We were told that their granite samples were on the left side and no one ever spoke to us again. We finally left, guess they've gotten too big or busy for the little guys. Oh well.

I didn't purchase from these guys because I was turned off by their customer service. I passed by when they were closed and liked the flagstone and boulders that I saw. The next day, I crossed the valley during my lunch hour to make the purchase and get a delivery scheduled. I was told that the guy I needed to talk to was on his lunch hour. There were lots of people around and you'd think someone would have basic knowledge of how many tons are on a pallet and what the names of the stones were. I decided I would label what I wanted in the yard and would call back to set everything up. I was handed Post-It notes!!! You don't need to be a genius to know that these don't stick to rock. I left and went to a rock yard on Commercial St and had a good experience.

I called just asking about drilling a hole in my countertop -- WHAM! The lady on the phone cuts me off, raises her voice, and snaps, "We don't do that unless you buy the whole system!" Then -- CLICK -- she hangs up. Look, I get that's not the service they offer, but wow... ever heard of customer service? She could've handled it way better. One quick call turned into a whole red flag. Not a great first impression -- felt more like a money-grab operation than a helpful local business.

If I could give negative stars I would, everything was fantastic until they got my money! Once that happened then no follow up from my rep Sierra, initially she was great! Then her unprofessional rudeness towards me was unexpected. She even told me in one conversation to be quiet when I asked a question! Then her Manager was just as rude She toldw me she would gladly cancel my order in a really condescending way. They kept giving Misinformation about my delivery. I kept having to keep calling to find out what was going on! I was told my work tops were there then not! I just couldn't trust anyone I spoke to! The day of my installation they never even turned up! I called a few hours later and they told me it was not scheduled for installation. Just BS! It was booked several weeks in advance. As for my tiles backsplash, Sierra ended up telling me to buy them myself at Lowe's! Even though I'd paid for the tiles already! I sent pictures of the tiles and info from Lowe's and she still said she couldn't find them! Not sure even if she tried! This was all done through the Costco program and if it wasn't for Costco, I'd be unsure if I'd get my money back! I asked the office several times, about my refund and felt like they were delaying. All in all a horrific experience! If you like stress after spending thousands of dollars and like doing your own follow up as your own project manager, and you like dealing with some unpleasant and unprofessional people then go here as you'll what you ask for!

I would love to leave a wonderful review stating how pleased we are with Rocky Mountain Stone's service, quality, craftsmanship, etc but cannot do that because after 3 trips to Albuquerque, meetings with and promises made by Joel, we still do not have a quote! We picked out our stone (twice), gave them measurements and were promised an email or call with an estimate. The only person who seemed reasonably interested in helping us was Jordan but quoting jobs was not her purview. My husband and I really do not understand how this business thrives if this is how they handle the simplest of jobs. Good luck if you plan to use RMS.

This is how my install was left yesterday. I was told to "Just buy some trim to cover it up." When I asked why I had to hire someone to cover the 1/2 in gap why they didn't do it themselves the tech said, "We don't do full kitchen remodel. We just make sure the counter is level."
