Excellent work and professional from start to finish, unquestionably an A+ company with people like this. Our sales rep Jackie was very helpful how she educated us on material differences along with the pros and cons of each (while we factored in our kitchen habits such as red wine spills and hot pans right out of the oven), then guided us through their granite choices and slabs in a detailed and helpful manner. Details matter. You can tell the Rocktop team considered and knew where to cut/place slabs to optimize the granite's characteristics in our home. They were mindful of seams, and installers were careful not to damage our mirrored backsplash and took measures to minimize dust/debris the best they could. Thanks to their detail and mindfulness, the Ardonis White granite looks beautiful and transformed our kitchen (even with 25+ yr cabinets and hardware). Everyone we encountered at Rocktop were conscientious and skilled in their craft - and impressively so. Oh, and competitively priced to boot! A+ Thank you Rocktop team!

We had a request to create a custom quartzite dining table. Elesia helped us to coordinate the specifications with our metal fabricator for the base. We are very happy with the end result, much better than a store bought dining table!

We had a good experience with rocktops. Tori was great. From start to finish, the whole process took about 2 weeks from initially coming in, picking out a slab, and having it installed. The price seemed reasonable. Installers were professional. The only thing they could've done better was email response time was rather slow, sometimes took 2 days for response. I didn't know the time frame of the install until 2 days before. Would definitely recommend this company

I want to start with our salesperson Tori Wiley, when I say she was OUTSTANDING - I mean the type of outstanding that if I had an open sales role, I would recruit her, and here’s why: in a world of lackluster service, Tori stands out above the rest. Tori goes above and beyond in every aspect; communication, availability, desire to understand your style, ensures she sticks to your budget, and most of all - wants to make sure you are happy with your selections. Now onto Rocktops as an organization. Operationally speaking, processes are nailed down and each department performs their job very well. The selection process is fun and easy, options are well organized so you know what type of material you are looking at as well as the price point. Rocktops can even bring in tops from a supplier such as MSI (additional fee will apply) to ensure you have the look you’ve been dreaming of. Our countertops turned out beautifully, were installed mindfully, and give our home just the feel we were looking for. Everything about the RockTops experience was outstanding. Starting with Wanda walking me through the incredible warehouse and allowing me to select from a large slab to the final installation 2 weeks later. The two gentlemen that did the installation were excellent and very creative on working with a wall that was not perfectly straight. Jackie was easy to work with and helped us pick out our quartz vanity top for our bathroom remodel. Had a small glitch on delivery day with the back splash being cut too short but they apologized about it. Had the correct one installed first thing the next morning. Overall a good experience. Would recommend and we hope to use them again!

We are SO in love with our counters. The showroom and experience of looking at the different slabs was exciting, effortless, and comfortable! Anna was amazing and answered all of our questions, was flexible when we had ideas, and so easy to get ahold of. They do a great job and are very reasonable! We had quotes other places and you could not beat Rocktops!! We are in love with our kitchen & hall bath. My only complaint is in our master bath we have two vanities that are supposed to be the same slab & same cut on the edges and they are different:( I didn’t notice till after we were all paid and moved in. But they look great individually just don’t match like they should lol

I’d been struggling with another company for my kitchen countertops fabrication and decided to just try someone else. A friend recommended RockTops, and I am so glad he did! From start to finish, every bit of working with RockTops was smooth and easy! It could be that they shined in comparison to the extremely incompetent and frustrating other company I was initially working with, but I don’t think so. They definitely shine all on their own. They are exceptional! By the time I walked out of there the very first time, I’d been shown the perfect slab, received and agreed on a quote, signed the contract and made my down payment! In one day! Very soon after that first visit they scheduled a date to measure and a week later my perfect and beautiful countertops were installed. And I couldn’t be happier! Thank you so much to everyone at RockTops for rescuing me from that other company! And thank you for the beautiful work you do! I am recommending RockTops to everyone I know! Update: I just wanted to share the finished product of my beautiful soapstone countertops from RockTops in their ultimate home! (Kitchen remains unfinished, obviously, but they still look amazing!)

This was a great experience from the time I walked in the front door. Shelby was very helpful in selecting the countertop in my kitchen, as well as, respecting the budget I had set. It was a short time between ordering the granite and installation. The person who measured, the installers and the plumber all arrived on the day and time scheduled. I highly recommend checking out RockTops if you are looking for new counters.

RockTops is a terrific operation. Every single person was friendly and helpful. I needed a new cabinet built in a basement kitchenette to fit the same footprint as the one I tore out. Zach, one of their cabinet makers built it in their shop, then finished it in my home. Perfect fit! Alyssa helped me get the quartz top I wanted. She was so responsive via emails and a few phone calls. Very professional!! The installers arrived earlier than expected and were very friendly. They put down floor protection so they wouldn’t track in the snow slush. They got the top installed pretty fast. Did a perfect caulking job too. I highly recommend RockTops....plus they have a beautiful showroom!

we love our patio - but there has never been room for both outdoor sofa and chairs, and table and chairs for eating/serving. I had an idea to place granite on the railing. we visited Rocktops showroom where Julie was encouraging and informative. the template guy was even more encouraging when he came out. the finished project is amazing! can't wait to have dinner on the patio - or just wine and cheese. thank you rocktops for making my idea come to life!

New countertops were a must when we decided to remodel our kitchen and our first stop (by luck!) was RockTops. We met Cheri who was fantastic at explaining our surface options (granite, marble, quartz, etc.). She gave us the pros and cons of each along with pricing and we decided granite was for us. Then we looked at the slabs that they had in stock. This was nice since we would know exactly what slab we would be getting. We selected a slab and using a sketch of our kitchen we had brought, Cheri was able to give us a quote while we waited. We stopped at a couple other places but none of them really gave us the level of service or attention we got at RockTops. A few days later we booked the install date and they worked with us on a sink we purchased else where with no hassle. We also had a request to incorporate a large black vein that was in the slab we chose into the island and they made sure to make that happen (see photo). Installation day came and the crew was friendly, courteous and fast. They installed our new tops in about an hour and a half (we did the demo of the old countertops ourselves the day before). The crew made sure to clean up after themselves and also replaced all the appliances. We are very pleased with the final product and would recommend RockTops to anyone in the market for new countertops!

Huge lack of communication from their head sales representative. I was told from competitors that they give a lowball price and then as you get into the project they nickel/dime and would have pricing mistakes happen and I have to say in my experience that was correct. luckily for me she wrote down some pricing that she then tried to add an extra $500 they tend to blame everything on their actual measurement template but found that she had tucked in an extra $175 for my kitchen that was not done as well. Called today to begrudgingly finish off the balance which is still $102 off my records and was told that they would charge a 3% fee for my credit card and I should've paid the day they installed which I could not because they're fabrication was wrong as my bathroom faucet and was not located in the right place . Asked for manager to call me back we will see how this gets handled?

We purchased a quartz countertop to go over laminate cupboards. The countertop is beautiful but the installers chipped the laminate in two places which can be seen every time you walk into the kitchen. Additionally, they were supposed to take the kitchen sink but left it for the plumber. The plumber didn't have room in his truck but wouldn't have been able to carry it out by himself anyway because it was too heavy. It took five days for Rocktops (after several emails and phone calls) to pick up the sink. The techs also moved the dishwasher around so the door wouldn't close and the bottom wasn't flush with the floor. Thankfully the plumber was great and and fixed those issues for us.

I've had the worst experience with Rocktops. We were building our house and had a contract with Rocktops for picking out our countertops and sinks. We went for selecting our countertops and made the selections and wanted the saleswoman who assisted us to verify if we were on budget and to call and let us know if we were over budget. With less than a month to go (4 months later) on closing she finally responds with an email stating we were over budget for almost 10K extra. We ask her what's this sudden surplus and she says "we insisted on the upper grade level" which made her not only unprofessional but downplayed to lying as well. We go into the store speak to the manager and he admits to her(saleswoman) not reading up the allowance and the level of quartz we were qualified for and him being helpless too. We were not notified through this entire 4 months and they tell us in about less than a month of closing that there's a 10K overdue when your numbers are checked in for the loan amount and also not taking responsibility for their fault in delayed communication and not reading up on a clients project. Very poor professionalism and taking their clients lightly is the way I would describe them. I hope this helps someone and please look into your housing sheet before you go as you can't rely on the sales people in there and make sure they have read through your budget allowances if you happen to choose them.

Sad that the owner says he read the correspondence, but certainly could not have because comments he made in his response would be disproved in an instant! Mr. Hyer - If you would like the real story about what played out in this month long nightmare of a saga with your "staff" that you "stand behind," feel free to reach out to me. Otherwise, I suppose history is bound to repeat itself. But you losing business due to lack of communication and professionalism on the part of your staff is certainly not my problem, you are right! What I will say is, all Kassie had to do was communicate needs, like the faucet. I had absolutely zero problems with the sinks you provide not coming with faucets. What I had a problem with was: A. No one ever told us we needed to buy/ provide faucets until Kassie emailed asking for information on what faucets we bought. Ummm. .. It would have been nice to know this is something you needed before we get a last minute email asking for details on this thing which no one had ever mentioned at any point. B. But we moved past that... I clearly responded to Kassie with questions about how to move forward with providing our own sinks/ faucets. Her response was to yet again ignore my questions entirely and instead just repeat herself like a broken record. I'm not a child, I don't appreciate the fact that I continually asked simple questions of Kassie that resulted in a passive aggressive email acting like I'm an idiot and ignoring my clear-cut questions. When someone is paying upwards of $10,000 to a company for a service... Responses to simple questions are 100% warranted. Kassie either A) Can't read or more likely B) Read exactly what I asked and decided she didn't feel like she needed to grace them with an answer. Either way, my expectations are not the issue... her lack of common courtesy, professionalism, and appropriate communication is!! I could go on and on about the numerous issues we encountered with RockTops and the complete lack of disregard to your customers that we have now seen runs rampant in your company, but I've wasted enough time and energy on this abhorrent situation. I will say this to conclude, however. As a previous business owner of over 10 years, employees make mistakes and bad reviews are inevitable, but it is how you respond to customer's grievances that matters! You had the opportunity to do your due diligence, learn from the mistakes made here, train your staff to communicate better, and reach out to the customer to resolve the issue. Yet, you decided to deny the facts here and point a finger at the customer. I suppose I shouldn't be shocked based on how others from RockTops have behaved. But, frankly I am indeed surprised that you chose to "fight" rather than just say, "I'm sorry. We will do better" and rectify the situation. So easy to do, just like answering customers questions, but not the route chosen. For anyone reading this review, let this interaction on a public forum be all you need to know to chose another company. No one in their right mind wants to be ignored and belittled when hiring a company and spending your hard earned funds. But that is indeed the way RockTops operates from their owner to their support staff. Don't waste your time, like I did! There are too many other companies out there that will listen to your needs, answer your questions, respect your time, and truly appreciate your business! It's sad that RockTops is not among those businesses!

DO NOT USE ROCKTOPS. This business is shady and unethical. They tried to rip me off by several thousand dollars. They told me a White Statuary counter top for 24 square ft total to redo our island would be $4,400.00 that's $183.00 a sq. ft. Seemed high so I sent my fiance in to get a quote and she quoted him at $95.00 a sq. ft. including installation. I then called several times trying to get an answer on the price descrepency I was hung up on several times, laughed at and put on hold when they realized it was me calling to get a quote. I never received a call back, I was emailed a 5 paragraph email from the manager who never called me back saying that prices change daily and it increased from $95.00 to $183.00 per sq ft. over night due to China's tariffs. Little did he know I sent my fiance in that day to get the same quote. Absolutely unbelievable that they think they can rip people off and lie and treat customers this way. Completely unethical business, use absolutely anyone but Rocktops. Give your money to someone who is trying to do honest business, which would be majority of people in Kansas City besides Rocktops.
