Just overall an odd experience for us. Unexpected fees we had to pay...0 documentation of the price quote or a contract everything was just word of mouth....work left unfinished that my husband had to complete himself...workers left unfinished and didn't return for 10 days to add the backsplash. We paid extra to have the countertops installed and ended up having to make a trip to lowes to finish the job ourselves ? Had to pay an additional $150 to have the original counter tops removed which wasn't discussed in the previous quote. Luckily my husband could finish the job. I can't imagine what an elderly woman living alone would have done other than fork out more cash for another contractor to come and finish the job. They even tried to charge us before the job was even completed. Please consider a company that will provide you an actual documented price quote/contract or you could end up getting burned legally and financially.

I am very pleased with the work Rock Solid Surfaces did in a townhome we own. When we bought the house almost three years ago I had a vision and they helped me fulfill it. I shopped around at other stores for the countertops but they didn’t quite satisfy what I was looking for, I was going to settle on a countertop at another store until my dad told me to go to Rock Solid. At first I was hesitant since I only had 30 minutes before having to go to work.... but let me tell you... that was the best 30 minutes of my life! Not only did Tammy find the exact countertop we were looking for but she also was able to give me a price I couldn’t refuse. As a designer its hard to give up on something especially when that’s what you want and envisioned. They were able to price, measure and install in 3 weeks vs the 6 weeks I was getting elsewhere. We got porcelain white quartz by LG. The only oopsie we had was the hole to put our faucet in was a tad too small, sure enough they came the next day to round it out and the faucet fit like a charm! :)

Just moved back into the area, and during our move, a family heirloom was damaged. Reached out to Rock Solid Sufaces Inc. to fix it, and they went above and beyond expectations. Customer service was amazing. They told me it would be ready on Friday, and I got a call on Thursday saying it was ready for pickup.

Awesome company to work with! Lisa Wright was the coordinator and did an excellent job with communicating with us, making sure the project went smoothly, without a glitch. The outcome was perfect!! We love our new granite counter tops!! They are true professional here, who take customer service and product quality seriously. i would difficulty recommend them and will use them in the future.

I’m very pleased with the quality, price, and lead time but the biggest thing that impressed me was their customer service. I gave them a drawing that was not super clear, and they missed a detail. Rather than try to pass the blame, they accepted the blame and literally cut me a new piece while I waited. They were calm even though I let my frustration show. They were very accommodating and I appreciate them. I will only use them in the future

After a really horrible experience with a contractor, Courtney and Rock Solid came in to save the day and quickly installed our counters we had been waiting on for months due to the prior contractor. They were quick, clean, friendly and very professional through the process. They made everything about the prior bad situation easy and stress free. Truly kind and professional team who went above and beyond to rectify a really bad situation. We highly recommend Rock Solid!

On March 7, 2019 Rock Solid Surfaces of VA Beach, finalized the installation of the granite countertops in my kitchen. In addition to the countertops, I had a gas cook-top and sink with faucet installed by one of their contractors. The installation required coordination between the employees of Rock Solid and their contractor. The installers ran into a problem when installing the countertop over the sink and garbage disposal because the base (holding the granite top) was not level. The installation manager (Milton) immediately contacted the contractor (Clyde) and related to him the problem. Although the installation was delayed, Clyde the contractor came over, diagnosed the problem and took the appropriate actions to resolve. Milton and his crew returned, completed the installation flawlessly; afterwards, Clyde returned and completed his part of the installation. My wife and I could not be more pleased. Our kitchen is BEAUTIFUL!! KUDOS to Rock Solid,Tammy, and all involved for giving us not only "Great Value" for our dollars spent, but for "Top Notch Professional Service" from their employees and contractors as well!! This indeed is a "ROCK SOLID" company that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND." M. Hilliard

AMAZING! Courtney went above and beyond to help us! She was patient, always available, and happy to help. Her positive attitude and willingness to get us what we needed to move in on time was beyond what you could expect from a business. She treated us like family even though we only met her at the showroom. I can not say enough good things about her. And....the counters are beautiful! Great selection in the shop. I loved that we could look at the full slabs of most of the quartz we liked. In addition, the installer, Rick, and his helper were super nice and did a great job! Very happy!

I recently purchased a new granite countertop through Home Depot and Rock Solid is the company that made and installed my slab. It is beautiful! There was one employee assigned to my job, so she was the one that called me to set up the template measure and install dates. I got to see my slab and approve it before it was polished and installed. All 4 employees I met and worked with were phenomenal. My kitchen looks great.

Overall experience was good. First of all, they have a HUGE selection of slabs in your price point and your style. It was a also quick process & for the most part, painless. Everyone arrives on time & that part I love the most. I worked with Donna who set up everything except the installation itself. The gentleman who came & did the template was on time, friendly, & efficient . Not sure if it was he who missed the mark on measuring my bar top but we didn't find out until installation day. Somehow either he measured less than the top or the technicians who made the cuts into the slab miscalculated... so when it came to installing, I was shown that there was going to be a noticeable gap between the bar top & my trim/molding. I was kind of annoyed at that because I had to come out of pocket to find a bigger molding to cover the gap in their error. Thank goodness I had a guy working in/on my house who was more than happy to replace it for me. (What if I didn't!?) The two guys who performed the installation arrived earlier than quoted & again, I really liked that. They were friendly, easy to talk to, & the taller blonde guy gave me tips on how to care for my new countertops & what to use. It took them about 3 hours to complete the job. The biggest problem I had started when it came to install my vanity faucet & I realized they drilled 3 holes instead of only 1 that I had told the template guy a week prior. Not sure where the problem began but when I immediately called Donna to tell her, she made me feel like it was MY fault. She said stuff like that happens when clients don't have everything up front, and in my case, she meant that this happened because I didn't have my faucet already picked out when I went in to finalize the order. Well, this was my first time ordering countertops so how was I supposed to know I'm supposed to have my faucets picked out prior to picking out countertops!? It's not like it was recommended on the quote sheet or advised to me the way they ask you if you're gonna do the demo & haul away & if you have your own plumber. With that said, at the time of the counter top order I DIDN'T have faucets picked out, but she told me that that was fine, to go shop for one & to email her with "just the model number." So right after we paid her the deposit, we went straight to faucet shopping. I did my part & emailed her the model numbers & also told her we have our own plumber but would prefer them to do the demo & haul away. Whatever model number she typed in came up totally different from what I gave her. Maybe she transpired numbers or something because my choice was a single, 1-hole Oil Rubbed Bronze faucet & whatever model number she plugged in gave her a 3-pc, silver, 3-hole faucet. Totally different. Knowing what I know now, I wish she could have either 1) told me to include a picture of faucets or 2) verified back with me that whatever faucet she pulled up matches the one I chose. Anyway, when I called to tell her about the mishap, she kind of had an attitude & made that comment abt not having everything up front & then offered me a "discount" on another vanity that I was supposed to purchase. Uhh, excuse me, what?! Is she telling me that I have to buy another vanity for their mistake!? I was appalled & said I shouldn't have to pay for a mistake I didn't make. She continued to say she will speak with the owner to see what they can do but at this point she didn't know what to do. She called me back & said the techs had her specs of 3 holes while another paper from the template said 1 hole yet no one bothered reaching out for clarification so it looks like someone just made their own decision when it came to drilling holes. I was stressed out because I was made to feel it was my fault when it wasn't & I was scared that they were gonna give me a hard time about having my vanity fixed. I called the next morning & Donna seemed to be in a better mood & told me they realize it was a problem on their end & will replace it for me & that on Monday she will call me with a new installation date, which was today. Two different gentlemen came today, on time (yay), & fixed it in less than 30 mins. I understand stuff happens, everyone's human & we all make mistakes but to make the client feel like it was their fault was just not a good feeling. While I am super happy & satisfied with the look of my new kitchen & bath, I still have a teeny tiny bad aftertaste of how the mishap was handled in the beginning. Would I work with them again? Absolutely!! I would just be better prepared! Donna was very thorough everywhere else in the process & made picking out slab, edges, type of sink, & the other little details fairly quick & easy. She, too, arrived right on time when she came to take measurements.

I went to Rock Solid the Friday before Easter to look at Granite. Donna spoke with me and said as long as I kept her updated on cabinet install date, that the process would go very smooth and we would only have to wait a week for fabrication. I emailed her at the end of April letting her know the date the cabinets would be installed and we would like to be on the schedule for countertop measurements at the end of May (30 or 31). We chose a paid the 50% deposit on May 16. May 20 comes around and she says she will have my measurement and install date for me later that day. I followed up on May 22, with no response. Again on May 24 to confirm my original request for the end of May for measurements, still no response. So, I call later on May 24 and she says the scheduler is out of the office until Tuesday. Tuesday comes around and WE FINALLY GET ADDED TO THE SCHEDULE FOR JUNE 4, which should have been earlier because I kept her in the loop from day 1. Fast forward, granite gets installed and a few days later I get a call from Donna saying my CC wasn't going through for the remaining 50%. Turns out she had the wrong exp date. I gave her the correct I formation expecting her to run it...fast forward 2 months later (when everything should be long taken care of). Donna calls and says she needs a CC on file to pay the remaining balance. THEY NEVER USED THE INFORMATION SHE CALLED ABOUT THE FIRST TIME TO PAY CHARGE US FOR THE REMAINDER. I'm pissed that it was not taken care of when she called the first time. They are SO disorganized and cant keep to their promises of getting you on the schedule even though you do your part. They are TERRIBLE at answering emails and phone calls. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. We will be going elsewhere for our granite needs. THE ONLY reason I give them 2 stars is because the installers did a good job.

My sales lady was good, and the actually installer (Billy) was good. However, I can't say the same for the people Managing the company. Poor customer service and quality control. They started my cabinets back in the beginning of May and didn't finish until July 31st. The project was plagued with problems after A few cabinets were damaged in shipping, then they fired the original installer, then I didn't see anyone for almost 3 weeks, the cabinets had to be built out from the base to match the size of the originals (a cost that should have been included and covered originally). The counter tops eventually came in, then had to be torn back off as some cabinets didn't sit right, in still waiting on a shelf that is supposed to be replaced. Not once did someone come out and check the work afterwards, no one seemed to know exactly was going on, and never was it a priority to fix their mistakes. The house was always messy after they left and the only one that seemed to care was the installer (Billy) but the management never seemed to listen. I can't say I'd recommend them to anyone nor use them again for anything.

The good: They have a large selection. The Bad: They don't seem to be honest people. I went in a couple of weeks ago and explained what I was looking for. Tammy gave me a price, I accepted, and came in later to select the granite. However the person working the front desk said she couldn't honor the quote and we would have to speak with Tammy .. I emailed her the next day, and later got a text stating the price was not $200/ more per piece ... claiming she didn't know it was that wide. (not true since I gave her the dimensions from day 1) then after asking why? .. she lowered it down by $100 each ... (still more than the 1st quote) ... So if you don't want to deal with a used car salesmen mentality where they try to squeeze every dollar out of you... I would suggest going to one of the three other companies in the area ... ALL of them were consistent in pricing and right around the same (original price) of these guys

Went through Lowes. Awesome! No issues. Sage surfaces had rock solid come out and handle everything. They told me I could not use the sink I had, even if it was in perfect condition. Ok. Was offered a free undermount sink if I pay the installation fee. Sure totally. Was asked if I wanted a single or double. I wanted the same thing I had. They assured me it was exactly the same, just under. But it would fit the same. Well when they measured, they didnt measure everything. It is not the same. It is soo low that my plumbing will have to be completely rewired to accomodate this sink. Like rip out the cabinets, counters, wall to find the stack and lower piping. Called Sage, they said to submit a work order through Lowes that way Rock Solid can come fix it. Lowes always helpful and awesome, emailed Lisa Wright. She called me with an attitude right off the bat. Blamed me in every way possible. That she is willing to send someone out to remove counter for a fee. So i can rip everything out to fix this. I was like, you cant just replace the sink?? She said no, the counter was cut to this sink. Like arent there others this size? Then she tried to blame everyone else and me again. I have everything recorded btw and I may sue. Over $8000 and they forget to see if the sink actually fits??? I told em they can come take it all and refund me if thats the case. Highly dont recommend which is a shame. The guys that came to my house were awesome. On another note, sage surfaces is also zero stars. I called em back and they too tried to blame me and when that didnt work, they blamed Lowes. Dont use any of em. Beware.

Before we moved, we designed, planned, and ordered materials to start the renovations to make our dream kitchen come to fruition, including ordering our countertops. However after waiting almost eight months for our countertops that we had already paid for in full and spent countless hours designing, planning, and communicating with Rock Solid, they dropped our job two days before installing and refused to do our waterfall island as planned. Sadly, we were forced to start all over again leaving our family without a kitchen for even more months while we searched for another workable stone and fabricator to complete the vision we had for our kitchen. The owners are lairs and stalled along the way lying throughout and the salesperson we encountered was beyond rude and unwelcoming. Use Absolute Kitchen and Bath instead , they were beyond amazing!

Crew removed tiles I asked the initial contact from the company not to. They moved the date back a week due to not being able to get the materials. Their installers damaged my wall. Big hole and cracks going down the wall. No apology no nothing. Just excuses. Its been two days since I complained to the manager and not one word from them. Horrible and unacceptable.

After two counter tops that were cut wrong. I was told they don't cut anything wrong because they use a laser. The owner came for the 3rd install and laughed at me in my own kitchen. I should have punched the jerk.

Ordered and paid for countertop from Lowes on June 28. Talked to rock Solid rep on June 29 and again on July 17. On July 29 went to Lowes and cancelled order because I was unable to get anyone to call me back or show up to do the measuring. To sum it up they had 21 days and never even called to do the measuring despite my cabinets being new and ready to go when I ordered the countertops. Would hate to see how long it would be to make and install if 3 weeks wasn't enough time to measure. Not sure about the quality of their work since nothing ever got started
