Our builder chose Real Deal Countertops for bathrooms, using a faux marble per the builder salesman. We've been in our home about 15 months. These countertops are frankly SUBPAR. We take extraordinary care of our home. Every item on the counter has something under it to prevent scratches. We had etching and scratches immediately, as well as several chips. I have owned homes for 49 years, and have never has issues like these. Mind you these are not cheap homes, many started in half million range. I understand that so many homeowners complained that our nationally known builder stopped using these in any of the homes. I would highly NOT recommend.

Avoid them if you can! Lowe’s Hardware chose this company to install granite countertops for me at a price of over $8700. Here is how their business works: Lowe’s gives them money for parts and labor and Real Deal Countertops then finds the cheapest non-English speaking installers to do the job. The language barrier made it impossible to ask questions and get instructions for the next steps in the process. During the disassembly and installation the workers took paint and drywall off the walls, left some corners misaligned, and left obvious streaks of calk. We told the company about it and they sent a representative to inspect. The company then sent the same non-English speaking people to repair the damage, align the corners, and take the calk off. The workers actually managed to make the damage to the drywall worse and also did not remove the calk line they were asked to. At least the corners are correct now. I will fix the damage myself and repaint my kitchen and bathrooms, which I wanted to avoid. I cannot express my disappointment and the feeling of being taken advantage of by these crooks enough. The many recent 1 star reviews should have been a red flag. Avoid them! Edit: added photos

Real deal counter tops were very professional. The ladies in the ware house were knowledgeable and helpful. The prices and choices were great. They were timely and efficient. We knew when our install date would be when we scheduled our tempting. That is fabulous for planning. The template gentleman was quick and efficient as were the installers. I won’t hesitate to use them again.

We are relatively new to the area so we weren't sure where to go for a new bathroom countertop. Saw the real deal sign so we stopped in to get an estimate. I think it was Alyssa who helped us the first day and she was very sweet and also knowledgeable. We found their prices to be very fair. Ended up choosing a beautiful grey marble and they put it in the following week. The installers were also very nice and knowledgeable and neat. We are very pleased with the company and think they did a great job.

while we had good experience picking out the granite at Home Depot, i am unsure of Real Deal. POSITIVES: men were polite, got to work right away and the seaming they needed to do is practically non existent. NEGATIVES: they decided it was a good idea to saw granite while in my kitchen and now have granite dust everywhere (couch, dinner table, every where in the kitchen) and near food and coffee area, did not tell me we could not use the sink for 24 hours, did not leave the clips to attach the sink to the granite only siting (after we had to call to ask) that the caulk would be good enough (no not really) but whatever so now we are out the clips because they took them with them. the staff inside the building were a little off putting when we came in the week before (per Rafael to do so to pick the pieces) and they were like why are you here and told that the granite we picked does not vary so why did you come. FYI: why sawing of the granite inside my home is a negative because i read that it has properties that cause cancer, so to have to breath this in for days is really upsetting to me and they sawed what they did outside first so why they had to do something in the home also i guess i will never know.

The Real Deal Countertops damaged trimming underneath my counter/bar and refused to repair it. Their claim that this was incidental damage and that I'm liable for since I signed a contract stating so. If trim was ripped how does this constitute incidental damage? This company was hired through Lowe's Co. They simply ripped out the existing trimming to attach a corbel under the countertop. They did not reattach the trim or even left the trim. I have not received any resolution from Lowe's. To make matters worse Lowe's customer service is remotely located. Not dealing with local store makes it less accessible in my opinion. Payment is rendered before service is completed. I am 70 years old and now must hire a contractor to repair their unfinished & damaged work. I do not recommend this company. They do not take accountability.

One of my countertop granite pieces was cut incorrectly and has taken us two years since the house was built to deal with this company removing and installing the same piece three times already and every time they come they measure,they look and push the countertop as far back as they can and every time the piece looks shorter than the piece on the other side of the stove. Keep in mind that once the cabinets are installed and before the stove gets here they come and measure to cut the stone. Originally in order to install the cabinets they broke off the sheetrock behind and exposed all the insulation, jammed the cabinet against the open hole and this company did the same with the countertop, it looked like it was cut almost half an inch shorter on one side of the stove than the other side so when you were standing in front of the stove you could see clearly that one side protrudes farther than the other side and when you stand on one end and look to see how one of the countertop pieces lines up with other you see that they are NOT on the same line. Builder, countertop and cabinet people all point fingers at each other and the most aggravating thing after all cabinets have been replaced is to deal with this people on the phone, I am always transferred to the BS specialist, for her the customer is NOT always right. Reluctantly they took the smaller countertop last week after admitting there was an error even after verifying with what they say is very accurate laser, well it wasn't accurate the first time! I had the measurements on a piece of paper taped to the granite only to have them measure again, three different people came to measure and they hated it but a week ago they took the countertop back so they could find a matching piece to be cut to the new measurements done with their laser. They hated it but they had to admit the piece didn't look good. The payback is to make us wait and wait, like if the mistake was caused by us. Rafael, why is so hard for your people to believe there was a mistake made, they took the piece after verifying that indeed it was smaller much to their disbelieve so what is the point to send a guy with laser? if you hate to replace why don't you just say you wont replace it instead of making me feel like I created the problem and I should solve it. Update: I got a call from the builder that said they want to come back and install the SAME piece they took because they think it will fit. Are you kidding me? Did the piece grow the almost 1/2 inch in a week? I have proven to your employees the piece is smaller on one side and it doesn't line up with the other countertop on the other side of the stove. If it wasn't right on day one and if y'all agree it didn't line up how is that you are going to make it fit. Nonsense. I told the builder I will let you try but if you break the cabinet again as you did a year ago February 2021 we will have to deal with this nonsense for another two years.

Real Deal sells "scrap" pieces for $25/sq. ft. Be aware of the quotes that they present for your signature. I asked for a price on a piece measuring 83" x 5" and finished on 3 sides (93") Fourth grade math skills will reveal that this is approximately 2.9 square feet or about $75 plus finishing the 93" would be $100-$125. They quoted approximately $500 ! when I inquired about the math calculation, they replied that the "computer" comes up with the price

I went through Lowe's looking for granite countertops for a new outdoor kitchen. Lowe's counter top contractor is Real Deal Countertops. I had an issue with the base being unlevel but the installer would offer no advice or assistance other than to scrawl a few notes and arrows on the base. I asked Lowe's to assign a new contactor but was told that Real Deal was the only one who carried the stone l had selected. I found a new contractor on my own and they were more than helpful. Took 2 weeks, start to finish! Even the name, "Real Deal" sounds shady and un-serious.

After only a few months of living in my new house there are permanent water spots in all 3 of my bathroom countertops. My builder contacted Real Deal and without sending anyone out to view the problem I was informed that I used an inappropriate cleaning product. I was never given a list of products to avoid. I've been using the same cleaning products for the past 30 years without any problems and cannot see how I'm to blame.

First I want to say that the installers were excellent and the granite is absolutely beautiful. From the pictures you can see there is an unsightly gap next to the oven, which was filled with stark white grout that looks like toothpaste. I suggest you remeasure for accuracy. Granite=5 stars. Customer service=negative stars

I did everything that I was asked to do including sending 50 % of the price. Two days before his employee was to come out he sends me an email that he wants to collect 100% of his fee before they even begin. Anyone in the Service business knows that this is not how you do business. Then he does not want to return my check but I'm to trust him to shred it. I don't think so. There are too many other people who do countertops to have to deal with someone who expect their full fee up front!

I was referred to Real Deal Countertops by my contractor. Everything went very smooth throughout the process except when they went to install the counter I noticed the corners were not cut properly (according to what we had agreed upon). I am really disappointed at the way they have handled the situation. The response I got was "there is nothing we can do". I went back and forth with the sales manager who was going to have the owner Matt call, which he never did. He is clearly avoiding me at this point. I don't want a new countertop. I just want someone to acknowledge the mistake and potentially offer a discount as we paid $5,000 for the counters. They also told me "they look better this way". I don't think their opinion matters of how they think It looks. I paid for the countertops I think I should get them the way I want them??? I just think this is poor customer service. My contractor will no longer recommend them as well as myself. I am a real estate agent and am in a network with 900 other agents in the tri-county area where I will post about my experience.
