A friend recommended Premier to us as an option for kitchen countertops. Our first visit to this store was great. The customer service was excellent and they had a huge selection to explore. We found a countertop that same visit. The installers that came to our home were professional and kind and did an amazing job. After install we noticed a section at a seam that was noticeably different in color and reported this to Premier. With no issues at all they offered to come out and replace that piece with a new match. We're extremely happy with our purchase and highly recommend them.

Premier Stone recently installed a Quartzite countertop in our kitchen, and our experience was exceptional. Christian, in particular, deserves praise for his assistance in a tight timeline. The install crew was professional and efficient. Notably, they helped us troubleshoot an unexpected issue during installation, ensuring we didn't have to reschedule. Overall, we are very satisfied with Premier Stone's service, and our countertop looks fantastic. Highly recommended!

We should have read the reviews before going with Premier stone! I agree with many of them--the customer service at the beginning was excellent. Good selection/variety. However--if anything goes wrong, you're out of luck! Premier Stone mis-measured our countertops. When our contractor let them know, Christian BLEW UP at him on the phone, then hung up, then refused to call back! Super unprofessional. It's a 'Buyer Beware' situation. One more edit: it is interesting that every poor review listed on here has a comment from the owner that distances themselves from taking any responsibility. We provided a blue print to the owner and the representative who came to our house--both of which showed an overhang. It is unfortunate when companies do not take ownership for mistakes. Upon review, we noticed several errors outside what was already identified: such as an uneven, unsealed space that would have resulted in a crack down the road, uneven beveling along the edges, etc. It was not 'amazing' or 'even'. I stand by it: buyer beware! Second edit: Premier finally reached out to rectify their miscut after the previous post. They tried to correct the error and broke our cabinet in removing the other countertop! After another 10 days’ wait, they came to reinstall…and miscut it AGAIN! We are now 2 months behind schedule. I would not ever recommend Premier Stone. This has been a mess.

It has been a while since our Taj Mahal kitchen counter was put in but I have been meaning to leave a review about how wonderful the experience with Premier Stone Fabrications was. We found the best possible natural Quartzite stone from the greatest, friendliest knowledgeable staff possible. Take all the time you want with them because there is no pressure. The installation was perfect and there was not a long wait time either. Anyone looking for an honest, easy to work with company then do yourself a favor and purchase your stone from them.

Had two gentleman come over and cut some preexisting granite and drop a sink in it as well. Paid 375$ for the whole job. These gentlemen did the bare minimum but in an excellent way. They didn't touch the plumbing from start to finish nor did they apply the silicone around the sink. My wife and I are very handy but cutting granite just isn't fun without the proper tools. Price was extremely fair and they did everything as promised. Thanks for your help guys!!

****Additional Addendum: Work corrected! Update: We were able to get in touch with the owner of the company (he did not contact us) to discuss our concerns about the fabrication and installation of our counter tops. After six weeks since the original installation, our job was corrected. The owner, Jim, made sure to be involved every step of the way, came out to our home to see the issues to be addressed and personally selected the exact location on the slab to cut to correct the cohesiveness of the seam behind the sink. We are changing our review to 3 stars as our issue was corrected and we were involved with the entire process. Installers even made sure to show us how everything would look before it was set in place. We are grateful the issue has been resolved but wish our concerns were not immediately dismissed from the company the minute we addressed the issue just after installation. We have learned a lot through this process but advise anyone getting counter tops anywhere to review their template on the slab prior to cutting to avoid the issue we experienced. ******************** Portion of the original post: My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen and purchased 2 slabs of beautiful Mont Blanc Quartzite from Christian. We made sure to go out to the yard and work with him on specific features to include on the island and sink side. We had 6 different cuts and knew we only needed one seam and that would be behind the sink. We expected some difference in color and veining where the seam is located but still a coherent look. With that being said our counters got installed yesterday (April 21, 2023) and the installation went well. Only giving 1 star as fabrication of the counters was not well thought out. Two slabs that joined together at the seam are completely different colors and pattern. One side has no veining and the other side is dark with veins. Unfortunately this makes the two sides stick out and look terrible. I called Christian shortly after install and told him about the problem. Told in an email “we can’t match on lay out we place at faucet in the smallest area where the flange also covers”. My husband went up to the store Saturday morning to speak with Christian and show him pictures of what could have done to make the two pieces congruent but he said there was nothing to do. Also told they can’t match up natural stone. Fabrication could have considered reversing the slab and the seam would have looked less obvious because that piece had less veins. Christian did not want to help us address this eye sore and kept insisting it could not have been cut any better. We requested to speak with the owner to address our concerns.

My wife and I are remodeling our kitchen and we purchased 2 slabs of beautiful Mont Blanc Quartzite from Christian. We made sure to go out to the yard and work with Christian on placement of cuts for the island and Sink after they came out and measured. We had 6 different cuts and knew we only needed one seam and in the middle of the sink. We expected there to be a little difference in color and veining where the seam is located because we knew they would have to come from different locations. With that being said our counters got installed yesterday (April 21, 2023) and the installation crew did a great job. I can’t complain about the job they did and they took the time to caulk and seal everything. The reason we are giving a 1 star is because the fabrication of the counters was not well thought out. Unfortunately this makes the two sides stick out and looks terrible. I called Christian shortly after install and told him about the problem. I was told to email a photo which I did. Just be aware that you may go pick out your slab and show them where you want cuts but they may not care or pay attention. We would have told them to cut from a different section to match it up better. Instead of providing customer service they just cut and installed and said oh well its natural stone. Another issue we have is the piece on the left hand side of the sink is bowed and it rises off the counter almost a quarter of an inch. The installer had to shim it so the seam would separate because of the bow in the slab. I know that the cabinets are level because the installers used a laser level and the installer from Premier even said that the slab was bowed and that was a dirty little secret about natural stone. Unfortunately it seems like we are stuck with this in our kitchen and Christian did not care to resolve the problem. I explained that I wanted the owner to come to our house and look at the job and tell me personally that he approves of the job and would allow this to be installed in his house. Christian assured me he would tell the owner of Premier Stone Fabrication. I also told Christian I would be writing a Google Review which he responded he will respond accordingly. I want everyone to know that we have been very happy with everything up to this point. Christian was very helpful every time we visited the yard and looked at slabs and always answered a questions and reassured us they would take care of us. The person who came out to template the counters was very kind and explained everything to us. The installers did a great job. The issue is the end product. Buyers beware that when you go up to Premier Stone Fabrication to purchase your countertops with your hard earned money, the charm and friendliness is only there to get you to buy something and get your money. Christian did not care that we were not happy with the end result and essentially told me that’s what you get when you buy natural stone.

The Premier Stone team did an amazing job with my large kitchen island. They were able to quickly schedule templating, and installed within 2 weeks. They even came back to enlarge the opening for my pop up electrical outlet because I didn't have it available when they did the install. I looked at many other places for my stone and Premier was the most local and the most affordable. I am very satisfied.

My husband and I are remodeling our bathroom. We purchased calacatta marble slabs for the double vanity countertop and tub deck. We couldn't find the type of marble we wanted anywhere else. Jim, the owner, pulled out the slabs for us to look at and explained there was one area with a flaw that they would avoid. The crew that came out to create the templates and install was prompt and professional. We had to reschedule a couple of times to coordinate with our cabinet installers, and they were very accommodating. Everything was cut accurately and installed well. Both slabs have a lovely ogee edge. The vanity was cut in one piece with 2 undermount sinks. The tub deck has a seam, but we had to look closely to be able to see it - it's not noticeable at all It turned out beautifully and the price was very reasonable. We're very happy with Premier Stone.

We got 6 estimates from places for granite and Premier Stone in Salem had the best price. They arrived on time and quickly removed the old countertops and installed the new granite. Everything was precut to the exact size and installed without any problems. I have never seen a granite countertop where the seams are not noticeable, except for what Premier Stone did today. I have to look for the seams, and they are still hard to see. The guys were careful as they worked and did an outstanding job cleaning up. Very professional and efficient. I would highly recommend Premier Stone in Salem for any granite countertop job. The work was exceptional!!!!

Wonderful, thoughtful and careful. From selection of the product to installation, they are 5 star. When they came out to install the countertop, our contractor had not fully stabilized the 'sub-counter'. They said that the countertop could possibly break in the future. They allowed us to stabilize the undermount, and returned a few weeks later to install without an extra charge. In addition, 8 months after the install, we received a call that we had mistakenly overpaid, and they were refunding us the overage.

I put a deposit down on a vanity countertop that, due to unforseen circumstances, I had to cancel one week later. When the deposit was initially placed I was told by Christian Jensen that the deposit was fully refundable so long as work had not already started on fabricating the countertop. What he did not tell me was that the deposit would not be fully refundable for an additional four to six weeks and then only through a check to be sent in the mail. I asked Christian why he could not simply provide me with a refund on my credit card charge. His reply was that some people had reversed charges after they were provided a refund. That does not make any sense, no credit card company is going to reverse charges when a refund has already been provided, but that is apparently Premier Stone Fabrication's policy. So I said that was fine, I would just put the charge in dispute with my credit card company and reverse the charges. Christian responded by saying that nothing further then needed to be done by Premier Stone Fabrication. I was planning on buying countertops for two new kitchens, but after my experience with Premier Stone Fabrication on just this one vanity countertop that had to be cancelled, I will never deal with them in the future. I simply do not trust Christian Jensen.

In 2022, I decided to replace my countertops. I visited with Christian at Premier Stone and he was very helpful with the choice of granite; however, he informed to me that PS "did it all" and "there was nothing for me to worry about". Upon installation the installers removed the PVC pipes and unhooked the electric stove. They indicated that they did not reconnect either. I called Christian to inquire about this and to state my dissatisfaction. It feel quite misleading to me and Christian became quite angry at me on the phone and attempted to hang up. He stated "we are not plumbers or electricians". I suggested that he refrain from telling people that they "do it all" because one presumes it is all. He was rude, condescending, and annoyed by my statements. I would suggest more professionalism at PS along with omitting the statement "we do it all". He also charged me more to return to do the splash guards that were not cut at my home, indicating that it looks better. The contract had been written for a higher square footage than needed so he added the additional charge to come back to maintain the amount of the contract. BTW the granite is beautiful, just poor professionalism

My wife and I are remodeling our kitchen and we purchased our stone counter tops from Premier Stone Fabrication. We had a good experience buying them and the installers did a good job. Our issue is with how they fabricated the pieces together. We went up to the yard and looked at the two slabs with Christian and showed him where we wanted the main pieces cut. All Christian did was put a sticky note on the large slab saying general area of the slab to include the island and sink. There was no outline or template on the slab show to us about exactly where cuts were going to be, especially at the seam. After the installation, my wife came home and noticed the horrible aesthetic appearance of seam in the middle of our sink. The seam is not this issue. The pattern of the pieces that were selected to be put together create are am eyesore. The following day I drove up to Premier Stone Fabrication to speak with Christian about this issue. Instead of trying to help solve the problem he became very condescending towards me telling me he knows that I am emotional even though I did not yell, scream or act foolish. I asked Christian why they didn't cut the two pieces differently and his response was they they tried laying it out differently but this was the best possible option. I never received a phone call during this process saying they are having issues laying out the two pieces to have a congruent look. They never called to say can we flip the side of the slab you want the sink to in order to have a better finish. Instead they cut the slab and installed it in our house. When I told Christian we were not happy with how the seam looks he tells me that it's natural stone and they can't match things and that they do their best. Well if this is their best than they need to change the company name because their was no real fabrication that took place. They had an entire slab to work with and could have easily changed the location of the cuts and contacted us to explain the cuts at the seam and provide customer service. I explained to Christian that if they would have moved the cut 8 inches down on the right hand side of the sink there would be no veins or they could have taken the slab and turned it around 180 degrees and used the other end for the sink and the seam. That piece has no visible veins. His response was it't natural stone and that is what you get. I have asked for the owner of the company to come to my house and look at the job. I will not be making final payment until the owner comes to my home and says he would allow this to be installed in his house and is proud of this craftsmanship from his company. Another issue we have is the slab on the left hand side of the sink is bowed causing a 1/4 gap at the end of the counter. The INSTALLER agreed that the stone was bowed after my cabinet guy, who was present at the time of the installation, showed him with their own level. When I spoke with Christian he assured me stone is flat. I explained to Christian that his installer agreed it was bowed and stated that it's a dirty little secret that stone can come sometimes bow. Christian than told me that we purchased natural stone and that is why we are having these issues. Again, Christian must have forgotten he works for Premier Stone Fabrication. I honestly believe Christian knows it looks terrible but keeps saying its okay because its a the seam and the narrowest part of the countertops. We purchased the last two slabs from that lot of quartzite so getting something that looks congruent may be easy. Please read the google review for how the company responded. Look at all the responses from Christian and the underlying theme ....the customer knew what they were buying and Premier Stone Fabrication did the best possible job they could do. I really hope that the owner is truly concerned about his reputation, the quality of his product at every step of the process and wants to help resolve this issue for us.
