A horrible experience. I purchased two GE refrigerators this past year from Sarah at Pasadena Kitchens. She was helpful and knowledgable. The second refrigerator was ordered in August 2020 and because of no inventory, it was not installed until February 9, 2021. Both installations were professionally completed. After second installation I contacted Pasadena Kitchens and said the invoice did not have the installation date. She stated their invoice typically does not have an installation date. I said that if there was a warranty issue, the warranty should start on the date of the installation and not the date of the deposit. Her response was to have GE call them. (??) I asked for an e mail confirmation that the refrigerator was installed on February 8 with my name and address. I received a blank e mail. I called back a few days later and talked with the individual to send an email with the the model of the refrigerator, date of installation and my address. She sent the following e mail to me. Your installation date on our schedule calendar is Monday Feb 8th 2021 10-12pm Her e mail does not link the installation to my refrigerator to my house and I emailed again to say that that her email should state that the refrigerator with model and serial number, was installed in my house February 8, 2021. NO ANSWER FROM PASADENA KITCHENS. I could wait till Sarah returns but in the meantime I remain dumbfounded that this simple request was refused by Pasadena Kitchens. How can one obtain warranty without a written installation date??? How hard is it for Pasadena Kitchens to provide this information after two phone conversations and multiple e mails. I am trying to describe how I feel with their response.

I bought a new Speed Queen from the owner of Pasadena Kitchens. The day before the delivery, she called to tell me that they were going to charge an extra $200 to their $70 delivery fee. I told her that Best Buy delivers for free and she said they do BB's deliveries, so I went to Howards and they delivered it for free with 2 men. They had it up the stairs, installed and took the old washer, faster than I could find cash for a tip even with my 48 stairs. Great GE washer !

We had a great experience shopping for a refrigerator at Pasadena Kitchens. Our old one had been acting up so we felt we needed to move quickly. We had been to two other appliance stores and found it frustrating. Because of the tight space for the refrigerator in our kitchen cabinetry and the restricted space between the island and the pantry it was very difficult to find a refrigerator that was not too deep, too wide, or too tall. Our sales person at PK had a software which gave you choices when you plugged in the required dimensions. She was busy when I called, but got back to me. She found a refrigerator that would work in the stainless steel finish we wanted. And she made special arrangements to pick it up at the distributor so it could be delivered on Wednesday morning which was super helpful. Another store had one that might work, but said that it would take 30 days which did not work at all. The installer arrived during the time window that had been promised. The install went well. The sales person at PK was by far the most informed and helpful of any retailer we tried. She went above and beyond to make things happen for us. I can't recommend the store highly enough.

After spending way too many hours trying unsuccessfully to find a refrigerator that would fit in the small space available, I finally called Pasadena Kitchens. Vincent was wonderful -- did the research, sent me options and coordinated the delivery and installation. The refrigerator fit perfectly, looks great, and has a larger capacity than the old one. I purchased a new speed queen for our elderly parents. Theirs was not working anymore and had to be replaced immediately. Samantha was very patient and helped us by scrolling in her computer in search of our perfect machine and she did. The perfect size and functionality. I bought my Speed Queen washer and dryer from them 7 years ago. I called them since my dryer was out of warranty and acting up. They sent their service tech and he knew exactly what was wrong right away. Had the parts in his truck and replaced the coil that controls the gas valve. Reasonable prices and I'm a happy camper. I've been buying my Body Glove water filters from them for past seven years as well. Always fast turn around and discount. One time when a part was back ordered they were able to get an upgraded part that was in stock from supplier at no additional cost. They always remember me even though I only visit them once a year. They have the best service in town.

Really enjoyed working with Sarah to get our new washer and dryer. We had previously had a nightmare experience trying to purchase from Best Buy, and ended up returning everything so that we could buy from a local business. Sarah was great--walked us through our options, helped us to get all the rebates we could, and scheduled a quick delivery/install. The guys were a little late on delivery day, but they called us ahead of time to let us know, and the install went very smoothly. They even had to take a door off its hinges to get the units in, but otherwise had no problems. Agreed on some other reviews that the selection is a bit smaller, but I also emailed ahead of going into the store so that we knew what lines they carried and then they were able to give us all the focused info we needed to make a decision. Great family-owned local business!

I will always, always recommend Pasadena Kitchens to anyone new in town. They have been supplying my family with appliances for (literally) decades. Be prepared to wait a little longer for products and have less variety than a big box store, but the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The more data you can provide as to your needs, the better they can help. Rest assured that they will work hard to find you the product you are looking for within the required specifications you need, *and* install it properly (An unfortunate rareity these days). I moved into a new place this year, and Pasadena Kitchens recommended an LG washer/dryer combo that was cheaper than the same models at the Home Depot on Walnut. Jose handled the installation, including providing the appropriate ducting material. By contrast, I recently made the mistake of purchasing a dishwasher and fridge online. I ended up paying more in extra haul-away and installation fees than I saved in online discounts when the contracted delivery company refused haul away and installation (Despite my having invoices showing I paid for those services). By contrast, I called Sarah to ask for advice and Jose came by the next day, finishing everything within an hour. Speaking frankly, if I had time to arrange for the donation/ sale of my old appliance *and* the transport of the new appliance *and* the time+know-how for plumbing/ carpentry/masonry, then, yes, a big box store might suffice. That's not the kind of schedule I have right now, and I will always prefer a local store where I know I can rely on the people.

My partner and I got a LG fridge from Pasadena Kitchen. It was approximately the same price as a big box store. The salesperson was cool and worked with us, didn't pressure us in any way. We paid for installation (and removal of the old fridge). The fellow who came to install the fridge was a bit late, we got one update about their status, that could have been better. Still, he competently installed the fridge and didn't damage it during delivery and installation. I'm glad to support a local, family owned business. We're happy with the fridge.

We just bought a new oven and cook top from Pasadena Kitchens, which also provided the installer for both. We had been without an oven for over month following an oven fire, and after visiting large stores like Lowe's and Home Depot, we were resigned to waiting weeks to find someone knowledgeable to talk to, and even longer for delivery and installation. Then I found Pasadena Kitchens online. We went in to talk with them -- our oven is an uncommon size -- and they immediately knew which brand we needed. Furthermore they offered to send their installer over that day to look at our appliances and tell us what would be involved. After he returned to the office, we got a call saying they had an oven and cook top in stock that would meet our needs, and offering to install it the next day. The installer and a helper came over the following afternoon, installed the appliances, and they work great. He had to build a small platform for the oven to sit on -- the height didn't quite match our old oven -- but he informed us ahead of time that there would be a little extra labor and materials involved. After he built the platform, the oven fit perfectly. We wanted to use a credit card, and the office was closed and they didn't have a card machine with them, but they trusted us to call the next morning with the card number. Altogether it was a totally satisfying experience, and one I suspect you can only get with a small, family-owned business. By the way, I went online after we paid our bill to compare our cost to what we would have paid online or at a big store. The prices were very comparable. We did find one store that had the oven on sale, which would have saved us about $150 -- assuming they had it in stock or were able to get it quickly. The other prices listed were the same or higher. And the installation cost us less than we were quoted at Lowe's. Highly satisfied. I recommend this store! Ellen J.

I came here by recommendation of my friend's family, who have been purchasing from this store for many years. I originally purchased my GE Cafe fridge from Best Buy's Outlet but it was broken since day 1. Best Buy refunded my money but refused to pick up their fridge due an associate error. I ended up calling Pasadena Kitchens and asked if their repair man could help me inspect and repair this fridge. Instead of trying to charge me or sell me another fridge, they recommended I call GE's customer support and talk to them about my situation. The logic being since I just purchased the fridge and Best Buy wasn't willing to pick it up, maybe GE could fix the fridge using warranty and I could get a free fridge. I ended up contacting GE, they sent out a technician and found that the compressor was broken. Frankly surprised that Best Buy sold me a fridge with a broken compressor as "Open Box - Excellent" condition. I decided to keep pressing Best Buy to pick up their fridge as a compressor was going to cost me a new fridge anyways. Eventually my issue was escalated enough that their warehouse came to take back the fridge (but it took almost a month to get this done!). I came back to Pasadena Kitchens to purchase a fridge. The store is rather small, but is packed with appliances to look at. The girls are amazingly friendly, helpful, and patient with me (I had a bit of PTSD from my purchase with Best Buy). I knew coming in to the store that COVID made it difficult to acquire a fridge, especially with the size specifications I needed. The girls talked me through the fridges they had in store, but also helped to research fridges that their supplier may have that they didn't have displayed. They offered to help keep researching on fridges and would get back to me via email. During the weekend, I ended up sending them a list of model numbers that I was interested in. They got back to me right away with vendor availability, and were willing to price match the fridges to the price of other online vendors. However, just as we were placing my order, the vendor sold the fridge I was most interested, they only had one left. Pasadena Kitchens came back and ended up offering me a more expensive and similar fridge they had in store which was GE Brand, but offered it to me at the priced match cost of the fridge I originally wanted. It wasn't my first choice, but I ended up really loving the new fridge. I also ended up purchasing a new dishwasher as well. On purchasing side, I loved the service they provided and how they didn't push me to purchase a fridge. They were just very helpful, and patient throughout the process and I can't thank them enough. Lastly, I can't say enough great things about Jose who did the installation just last night. I had just purchased this condo, so I had some concerns if the water line could be installed for both the fridge and the new dishwasher. At the time Best Buy came to install the fridge, they charged me an installation kit, but the installer said he couldn't install the fridge, but gave me his personal number if I was interested in getting a port in the wall for the line. Jose looked at my system and clearly communicated his plans to me. The previous owners had put holes in the cabinets to feed a water line to the fridge directly from the sink. He warned me that he wasn't sure if he had everything I would need for the install, but that he could definitely do it. If he needed to pick up a part, he would be happy to do so asap. I knew going into the installation that I may need to purchase additional parts if needed. Luckily he had what he needed in his truck, and the installation of a shut off valve and labor was an additional $102 (with tax). Jose goes above and beyond a typical installation. He makes sure to not scuff your appliances, is careful with your floors, walls, and furniture, and test runs everything to make sure they are working appropriately before leaving. He didn't rush the process and was very thorough. In addition, he made sure to tell me how to properly install a new filter in my fridge in the future. He assured me that the new dishwasher has been installed securely, and that he checked everything for possible leaks. I tested everything after he left and am really pleased by the quality of his work and installation. If I had to choose a complaint, I would say that the installation price is on the higher end compared to big box vendors, but it is definitely a higher quality installation. It cost $100 for the fridge, $175 to install the dishwasher, $16 for a new water line, then $25 for a water shut off valve and another $75 for the installation of the valve. The price includes haul away, but I only had a dishwasher to haul away. This amounted to $400 to install the fridge and dishwasher. Would definitely come back here again for any of my appliance needs and I highly recommend this store.

Went here prior to Christmas, 2019, to probably purchase a washer and left with said washer and a Dryer. Had done some homework on the new washer. My information was confirmed and Kimberly S. added as much information as I could absorb. She is absolutely amazing! Knows as much about a washer and dryer than most living humans! Professional, easy-going and insightful. Great to work with, and honest about the installation process. Also forthcoming about the customer's need for a particular model, not just a higher end one for more of a sale. Left this place knowing I would return if I ever needed any Kitchen or appliance help. This is hidden gem in the San Gabriel Valley! So often we are accustomed to going to major retailers for our appliances (e.g. Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy, etc); however, I remember driving by this appliance store ever since I was little and decided to reach out to them to see if they can help me out with my appliance purchases. Sarah is the owner and it's a family business for 30-40 years now. She was so friendly and helpful. I always love supporting small businesses and especially local business. It's nice to see walk in and know that the employees recognize you already. They will even price match if you find an appliance you want for cheaper. It's easy to get things delivered as well. Pasadena Kitchen has a great team working together to get make these purchase quick and easy. They also sell some brands that are not typically sold in stores like SMEG. In addition to appliances, they also sell countertop as well. Come by and support the local business! It's worth checking out if you haven't!

We bought a new refrigerator from Pasadena Kitchens and enjoyed working with both Kimberly and Sarah. They were knowledgeable about their products and the various options available, and were patient fielding our many questions. Delivery was promptly arranged, and top marks are due to the crew of Jose and John. They represented the company well arriving at the time agreed, and most importantly, being extremely careful in the haul away of the old frig and the placement and installation of the new unit. They were up to the challenge as our home was built in the 1920s and doorways are small. Tight squeeze indeed, but the crew got the new frig in without any damage. If you value personalized service, along with the attitude of putting the customers' needs first (as opposed to endless attempts at up-selling), do yourself a favor and visit Pasadena Kitchens the next time you shop for an appliance.

What a wonderful community-centric store in the San Gabriel Valley! Pasadena Kitchens reminds us why it makes sense to shop local. First I called them to help us evaluate an older, failing high-end appliance and they very kindly referred us to Spencer Service, their partner store. The home visit from Spencer Service was professional and pleasant, and when they deemed our appliance beyond repair, they referred us back to Pasadena Kitchens. Pasadena Kitchens then worked patiently with my wife to identify the best option for our home, and a week later it was installed perfectly and again pleasantly. The price was right as the brand did not discount, and even if they did discount somewhere else I would have stayed with Pasadena Kitchens. When you are inviting people into your home, you want to know they are part of your community. Those general search index sites for appliances lack the personal touch of a store that cares, wants your repeat business, and wants your referral. Old-fashioned quality, convenience, and friendly service are hard to find, even harder with the level of consistency reflected in the set of reviews here on Yelp. We actually used Yelp to find Pasadena Kitchens and now happily add our endorsement.

Last minute shopping for a range hood. They took my number, called me back w/ a few options, priced matched a lower price I found and would have it ready the following day. Wow! I was not prepared for the excellent customer service. After shopping all weekend, I did not have high expectations in that department. I was pleasantly surprised at how responsive the associates were and how helpful they were even before I agreed to make a purchase. Great family owned and operated business for a generation or two. I have used them for a few new appliances as well as their servicing, and for services on my older units from sears. They have always ensured that I was well sorted out with the right makes for my household needs. I really appreciate that they follow through with a high level of care and they know their stuff as they have been in the business for decades. Things have changed so rapidly with technology and associated items like detergents and power etc etc. so it is important to have real people like this concerned with getting the right info from you and understanding your needs before you jump into buying something based on just its features. I generally only write reviews if my experience is horrible or exceptional. In this case, the quality of service and work was exceptional. Sara is great at following up with the customer. We installed a corian backsplash and undercabinet lighting. Given the many problems we have encountered with other contractors, we are ecstatic to now have found somebody who can do quality custom work at a fair price. Are they the cheapest? No. But as I have learned from my remodeling project, cheapest usually means cheapest quality which in turn ends up costing more in the long run to fix.

I stumbled across this location two days ago while i was looking for two simple items and Sarah was very helpful towards providing the best service and going that extra mile to obtaining the items that you are looking for. I found this place on Yelp. Have been searching on the web all day for the best prices for a new GE Profile 48" fridge then found this place. Called and Sarah was super friendly and helpful. She simply helped me match the best prices quoted from the other companies including matching the installation and removal of the old fridge fees. Now I just need to wait for my new fridge and hope that the installation guys are professional and do a good job which I'm sure they will. (I'll keep you updated) Great experience! Sarah from Pasadena Kitchens is amazing! She's extremely helpful and speedy. I was getting quotes for some customers on Corian countertops and had called at least 3 other places before contacting Pasadena Kitchens. Not only was Sarah MUCH more helpful than the other companies, she also beat the other companies' prices by hundreds of dollars. But, as we all know, the cheapest sometimes is NOT the way to go - ESPECIALLY in construction. In this case, however, it is. The installers do excellent work and all of our customers that have gotten their countertops through them have been extremely happy. Needless to say, whenever Swiss Handyman (the company I work for) is doing a remodel and we need countertops, etc, I always call Sarah. Dependable, quick and competent. The range was already installed, and I believe I was overcharged for the technician to install the correct gas connection which he did, and this cost $115 dollar. This place is a one stop shop for all your kitchen needs. Their prices were fairly comparible to other places. They were knowledgeable and helpful. When we came to order our appliances they stayed even after hours just to complete our order. The reason why I didn't give them 5 stars was because of the delays even though I know it not completely their fault but I felt like I had to be on top of them to check on my items. And there was a few things that when I asked them they didn't have the answer too. I also liked that they have commercial appliance.

A horrible experience. I purchased two GE refrigerators this past year from Sarah at Pasadena Kitchens. She was helpful and knowledgable. The second refrigerator was ordered in August 2020 and because of no inventory, it was not installed until February 8, 2021. Both installations were professionally completed. After second installation I contacted Pasadena Kitchens and said the invoice did not have the installation date. She stated their invoice typically does not have an installation date. I said that if there was a warranty issue, the warranty should start on the date of the installation and not the date of the deposit. Her response was to have GE call them. (??) I asked for an e mail confirmation that the refrigerator was installed on February 8 with my name and address. I received a blank e mail. I called back a few days later and talked with the individual to send an email with the the model of the refrigerator, date of installation and my address. She sent the following e mail to me. Your installation date on our schedule calendar is Monday Feb 8th 2021 10-12pm Her e mail does not link the installation to my refrigerator to my house and I emailed again to say that that her email should state that the refrigerator with model and serial number, was installed in my house February 8, 2021. NO ANSWER FROM PASADENA KITCHENS. I could wait till Sarah returns but in the meantime I remain dumbfounded that this simple request was refused by Pasadena Kitchens. How can one obtain warranty without a written installation date??? How hard is it for Pasadena Kitchens to provide this information after two phone conversations and multiple e mails. I am trying to describe how I feel with their response.

My parents purchased a microwave from Pasadena kitchens in January and in June due to the door requiring excessive pull and push to open and close ; cracks appeared on the side and in the front. They replaced the door after several follow up phone calls and now in October the same cracks in the same places. They contacted their distributor who said this could only happen if an individual were short (which they are not). Totally absurd information which without thought was conveyed to us! Kimberley who initially seemed capable of delivering customer service is not at all patient enough to speak with over the phone! It got to such an uncomfortable point in talking I had to hang up abruptly unfortunately which is not my nature and forfeit any possible resolution. She continually interrupted me without listening. It is complicated to explain all, but she had another excuse about being a family business and they couldn't possibly absorb the cost. Is that our problem? This happened within the warranty time and this is not a product moving around. We were willing to replace it with a more expensive microwave. We would like to support local and family business, but we would have been much better off going elsewhere (perhaps Best Buy, Sears, JC Penney or elsewhere).

This store is a complete joke. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator from them about two months ago. I had told them ahead of time I'm moving in on a certain date asked for it to be delivered that day. Which they said no problem and it will be delivered. But i got a call from them THE NIGHT BEFORE my delivery was scheduled stating "they don't have the fridge and it won't be coming until 4-6 weeks later and this was a common problem they've been having with Samsung products" which I found to be bullshit. If this is a common problem, wouldn't you call ahead and make sure your "warehouse" has the product before taking your customers money and promising a delivery date? Worst part is I was given nasty attitude for no reason whatsoever when I had been nothing but nice. When I went the next day to get my money back the lady that was there replied to me by "oh that situation" and just handed me my money back with absolutely no apology or anything. They screwed me on my move in date. and ended up costing me an few hundred bucks for no reason. Word of advice to future buyers. Don't bother with this store they're inconsistent and rude. I ended up ordering directly from Samsung which ended up being cheaper and had $0 delivery fee and $0 installation fee. Compared to this company $100 dollar delivery fee and $100 installation fee. What a joke !!!

We purchased two washers two dryers from this place. Within a week one of the dryers was making a loud piercing pounding sound. I called the owner and let her hear it. after two weeks of chasing them they sent a technician. He couldn't fix it! shortly after the washer went out! Started leaking. Once again the technician couldn't fix it. After a long back and forth battle they refused to fix or exchange what seems to be the most expensive appliances they sell. If you buy from them make sure you know there is no honoring warranties and never expect service once you got suckered!!

Had an awful experience. Sarah, the salesperson, talked me into buying a Crosley washer and dryer. She claimed it was a great value for an excellent product. I had never heard of Crosley but she assured me it had best warranty in business. From day one both units shaked uncontrollably. Couldn't get anyone from service to come out. Finally, after five months and 10 emails, a tech came out and said the problem was an engineering flaw that couldn't be repaired. Why?"Because," he said, "everything Crosley makes is garbage." Ugh!
