I highly recommend Felipe and his crew at Mokastile. After speaking with some retailers, I decided to use a marble-looking porcelain slab for my project. Very few contractors work with porcelain slabs, and Mokastile was one of these few. I contacted Mokastile and Felipe responded right away. One of the challenges with a porcelain slab is that the marble-looking pattern is only on the surface of the slab - the interior of the slab is plain white. To keep the end result looking like marble, the contractor needs to make really challenging 45 degree cuts to continue the marble-looking grain around the edge of the project. Felipe and Mokastile did a fantastic job - they were incredibly careful in how they cut the material, so the end result is beautiful and looks like marble, but has the stain resistance and durability of porcelain. Felipe also charges a fair price for his work, was quick to schedule the fabrication and installation, was very flexible in working with whatever material I chose, and kept my house really clean while he and his crew did their work. Mokastile is a great company to work with.

These guys did a phenomenal job!! Absolutely AMAZING! We are beyond pleased! They did everything we pictured and it all went so flawless! We wanted it to bridge and they did, we wanted the cooktop to be flawless in the quartz and they made it happen, we wanted a huge stone with zero cuts and waterfall sides all was possible. Many other quotes we got, wanted to cut the counter. They are still working downstairs but I am so happy, wanted to let everyone know! Don’t hesitate going with these guys. They took like 3 hours to measure and a week later came ready and installed with a perfect fit!! Thankyou so much Mokastile!!!!!

I was trying to purchase a countertop for my added island (3’*5’) and got a ready-to-install piece fabricated as desired. This is a small project so I quoted around for material and fabrication and mostly of them either only sell material or only does fabrication. I did my main countertop project with Home Depot (not recommend if you want it sooner because I waited for 2 months, crazy) but this time it is too expensive for a small project like this. I found this one on Facebook and they can do both! I also like that the corner and edge can be finished with your choice (some independent contract/handyman only does 90 degree finish but I am not a big fan of that and prefer a more rounded style). Carlos is also super friendly and demoed us with the edge finish on the spot when we were there. I would highly recommend Carlos for any countertop projects you have! :) I will come back if I have other projects in the future.

These guys are AMAZING!! I had to install a small counter on a deadline and they were able to come, give a quote, and install the very next day. They made sure I was happy with the result!!! They do require a 50% deposit, which I was nervous about, but they were reliable and did exactly what they promised. Highly recommended!! Also, they have competitive prices. They were able to give me an attractive cream colored quartz for a good deal.

I shopped many different contractors and knew Felipe was the man for the job. He gave me great advice and a very competitive price. The quality of workmanship is unsurpassed. We hired mokastile to replace our old tile kitchen counters with quartz. Felipe was very good at communicating with us and setting up a time for us to visit his showroom. We picked quartz from his shop, the quote was very reasonable and they showed up when they were supposed to come. Everything was done in a timely manner and they were very meticulous in their work and respectful of our home. I would highly recommend them.

What an amazing job Felipe and crew did on our kitchen counters. I had an old cracked granite countertop that needed to be removed and hoped to save my backsplash in the process. They did such careful work that nothing was disturbed. It took just one week (2 partial days) for the entire job from removal to install to be completed. Everything was done with such precision and care. We love our countertops and how everything lines up perfectly including the small ledge behind the stove. I highly recommend working with Mokastile for any countertop work needed.

Felipe and his team remodeled our kitchen area. They replaced our 16 year old granite countertop (kitchen including backsplash and island) with a new quartz countertop. We found out about Mokstile through Nextdoor (Felipe came highly recommended). We received 3 bids for the project and Mokastile was the most competitive but they were also very professional. They removed our old granite on Monday. Tues to Thurs they fabricated the material. And they installed the new quartz on Friday. They finished on time and they did a great job. I highly recommend Mokastile!

Mokastile did a great job on our kitchen counters. We had an extension behind our sink for the bay window and they fit the counter in really nicely. Felipe was also able to cut the 2 cm counter material to a 1cm thickness where I need thinner backsplash pieces to fit with my trim. They did a great job on the edges where they lined up the veins so they continue onto the edge from the countertop surface. Felipe was able to get us good pricing on the materials so the overall cost for labor and materials was very reasonable. The counters were all installed in one day as promised and Felipe came out the next day to make sure everything was done right. The communications were great throughout the process.

Felipe and his team did an excellent job for our kitchen remodel. We used 5 whole slabs to make the pattern continuously and they matched the pattern perfectly. We spent an hour for the layout before cutting. The waterfall island is very beautiful and seamless, I can't even see the seam. They are professional and excellent, we are very pleased with the countertop.

We had the best experience with Felipe and his team. Leading up to the install he was incredibly responsive and professional, careful to spend time upfront so that commitments were met on the backend. For the quality of work, the price was very fair compared to the other quotes we got. On install day they were careful to protect the rest of the house from potential damage and worked very efficiently, finishing quicker than I expected. I'm so impressed with the way our countertops and backsplash turned out and my expectations were absolutely exceeded. This is a well-deserved 5-Star review for Felipe' and his team at Mokastile. My wife and I are doing a major kitchen remodel utilizing 3 slabs of Quartzite stone. With a significant investment in materials and all new custom cabinetry, we wanted our countertops to reflect the best in craftsmanship. We were impressed with Felipe' from our first visit to his showroom and shop in San Leandro. He and his team are conscientious and truly care about doing an outstanding job for their customers. Felipe' explained their operation, the state of the art water saw they use to cut precise edges, and the technique they use for gluing the mitered edges. He encouraged us to go with a 2" mitered edge with our Shaker style cabinetry. When we had the slabs delivered to his shop, he spent about 2 hours with us doing the layout of the slabs, and making sure that the movement in the natural stone all was going in the same direction throughout our kitchen. That was a detail that we would have never thought about, nor do we recall any other fabricator mentioning that to us on previous jobs we've had done. Felipe's production time was also MUCH better than other fabricators that we talked to. In fact, he even completed production and was ready to install a day sooner than what we expected. His team worked on a Saturday to meet the commitment he had made to us, knowing that if one sub misses their commitment, it can affect the entire project. The installation was quick and flawless! The counters look magnificent, and the team cleaned up beautifully at the end of the job. My highest recommendation to Felipe' and his team at Mokastile!!!

I had been trying to renovate my kitchen for sometime and I finally saved up some money for it. I came across Mokastile by Google search, and decided to give him a call - best decision. Phillipe was able to work with my limited budget, yet the quality of his work was top notch. He even added a bonus feature to my kitchen, which was a pleasant surprise. He also referred GS custom cabinets who also did excellent work in refurbishing my cabinets. Overall, I'm very very pleased with the result.

I am absolutely impressed with Mokastile and their seemless process of getting a slab purchased, fabricated, and installed. They were very responsive, reliable, informative, and professional. Most importantly, their work is impeccable. Every step of the process was just so easy because they are experts at what they do. The hole they cut for my new sink was so perfect that I can't stop touching the flush edges. I love it! They also installed the sink for us and made life that much easier. Felipe and Carlos did an amazing job on our island (with waterfall), countertops, and backsplash. They spent 3h with us, in their shop, to design our layout. Even though our stones have identical patterns, they were still able to book-match almost all seams. They use a professional stone-cutting machine, unlike many places, who cut haphazardly in your front yard. The miter seams and regular seams are all hair thin. They truly treat your stone and the installation, as if it were their own homes. Great service. Great craftmanship.

We hired Mokastile to fabricate and install stones for our remodel. The team at Mokastile were very professional and the service was excellent. Initially we got few quotes from few shops we found on Yelp and after some discussion Mokastile came out to be the best. Since we purchased stones from a different vendor, Felipe at Mokastile helped to pickup the material. During the fabrication, we found we were short on the material and had to purchase more stones. Felipe was very accommodating and made another trip to pickup more pieces. Our measurements were taken by Felipe, he arrived on time and made templates to ensure accuracy. The stones came out perfect, they also tried to make the patterns match from edge to edge the best they can, although that heavily depends on the materials. The installation guys were meticulous and kept the place clean during install with their shop vac. After install, they cleaned and polished the stone thoroughly and caulked the surrounding edges properly. It was very easy to work with these guys, they also had very quick turnaround time from measurements to fabrication to install. Overall the work is beautiful, and their services are highly recommended.

I found Felipe on Yelp by sending a quote request to another business. I got 6 replies and Mokastile was one of the responses. They are not the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for. We needed 3 full slabs that we got from Pietra Fina in Hayward. Work was done a couple days before expected. The miter joints are perfect! Before we chose Felipe we went to his shop to make sure he was legit. He has this high tech machine that cuts the slabs perfectly. We got a 2 1/8" edge. My island has a 15" overhang and they installed steel rod into the plywood to support the edge vs having an ugly bracket. I can't find a single flaw anywhere!!! Forget the rest and go with the best. This summer I decided to renovate my backyard and in this project I had a bbq island. After contacting around 10 different contractors, I decided to go with Mokastile because of the customer experience. I had a great experience throughout the project because from the first contact, Felipe was super responsive, very accurate technically, and always willing to run the extra mile to make the process smooth, including choosing the slab and recommending the right material. Writing this review after working with Felipe Aj for couple of months. Felipe is nice to work with. I had his brother do many remodel work for me for several years. We remodeled 2 bathrooms and Mokastone completed both before the promised schedule. All of the Mokastone work was top notch, and their work crew was incredibly respectful and clean. I love that they send the same crew to do an entire job vs a revolving door of strangers cycling through the house. Felipe Aj did many high skills work himself. Filipe was amazing at helping us find place to buy and help save money. Construction pricing value is excellent. I can't imagine getting better service from anyone. Mokastone's experienced team helped us to create beautiful bathrooms. Mokastone (Felipe) is definitely on speed dial for any future work.

Mokastone (Felipe) did an amazing work at our house. We hired them to install laminate floors for about 80% our house (including the stairs), kitchen counter top, new sink, kitchen faucent, back splash, fan installation in the living room, new lighting & wiring at the pantry room and epoxy flooring at the garage. They completed all of this work to our fullest satisfaction and at a reasonable price. Their quality if work is amazing and finishing at its best (check the photos). I've contacted (from CL and other connections) a couple of contractors for doing the kitchen remodeling (new cabinets and granite counter-top) and I cannot be more happier that Felipe took on the job. From the beginning he was very straight forward and delivered on his promise. He got the kitchen done in 1 week (7 to 10 days as he said, from the time we shook hands on it) with no issues whatsoever. He is a very meticulous person, taking detailed measurements at the estimate, I could immediately grasp that he knows his trade. There was little to no disruption during the work, except the demolition (1day) where there was a little bit of dust, everything else happened very cleanly. Over the weekend he even provided some temporary plumbing so I could have a functional kitchen. With that being said, he will be definitely doing the flooring throughout the home as well. I can only highly recommend him, you cannot go wrong with him. He is the real deal !

I reached out to Felipe to see if he would stand behind the work and warranty, and offer ways to repair or follow-up on the issue after the company Consentino turned a blind eye but he didn't. I went with Felipe because I wanted to support small local businesses but I was disappointed and let explain why. I hired Mokastile to install an outdoor kitchen countertop. I went with Felipe's stone recommendation "Dekton" from Cosentino. He told me these stones are great for outdoor and have 25yr warranty. The installation went great and I was happy with the work. However the stone developed a crack within a month post install. I was using the egg grill and I heard loud pop. I explained to Felipe that this happened because of heat from the Egg grill. I was amazed at how a stone that was recently installed could be so brittle and crack under heat. Felipe came home, took some photos and got me in touch with the company that sells Dekton. The lady from the company Cosentino came in and did the same but I never heard from her again. 2 months later, I heard another pop sound while using the egg grill and the crack got worse. I texted Felipe again but no response. I reminded him that I haven't left a review and I would like to leave a good one but he didn't respond which explains why I am here. I really wanted to like the work Felipe did but I can't recommend him. DO NOT BUY DEKTON or from CONSENTINO. It is a horrible product and is not durable with heat despite what their marketing claims. I paid upwards of $10k for the product and this is what I am left with. Very disappointed with Dekton, Mokastile, Onseand Felipe. If you business with them and the product developed a problem, Felipe and Dekton wont help the customer.

We contacted Mokastile for the in home estimate of kitchen and bathroom counter job in an apartment unit in Albany. Initial consultation was set for last Thursday (Sept 14)morning at 9:30. Waited until 10:30, no one showed up. Called the owner and he was very apologetic and arrange for himself to come the next day at 11:00am to do the estimate. The next day we were at the apartment and waited from 10:45 till 11:30, no show and no call. Very unreliable company.
