Our Calacatta Azai Quartz countertops were ready for install much quicker than expected!! The installer Josh and his co-worker were fast and efficient. We are so happy with our new countertop tops. That are absolutely gorgeous! Can’t wait for the final steps of our renovation to be complete!

MKD was contracted to install my counter tops by Home Depot. During the installation my exterior kitchen door was damaged. The door had just been installed as part of the kitchen renovation. I pointed out the damage to the MKD contractor and he brushed it off saying I needed to "adjust the screws on the threshold." MKD has refused to make the situation right. They did not even send someone out to evaluate my claim. They damaged a brand new door and have refused to even come out look at it. This shows a horrible lack of professionalism and lack of responsibility. I've had 2 different contractors come in an confirm that MKD damaged the door threshold when they rolled the 800 lbs granite slab through the doorway. They damaged my home and just walked away. I would never recommend this company.

Justin, Quay and Mike Showed up on the 4th of April and worked their magic on a large and rather tight quartered granite install in my home. Their labors yielded impeccable, stunning results in a timely manner. They were absolutely precise in their work, were more than willing to explain the process as it unfolded as well as give instruction on maintaining the as new look, over time. I was duly impressed with the care and concise manner they took in the moving of such a bulky item from trailer to installed location. No bangs, nicks or scuffs on adjacent surfaces. This team has mad skills! My highest compliments. Trust them for your install.

Costco will refer you to MKD for their Silestone Quartz and we suggest you take a pass and work with a local company. MKD cancelled two of our consult appointment so it was off to a questionable start. During our appointment, the estimator handed us a box of quartz samples and asked us to pick one. It was interesting that none of the samples had a cost per square price noted so we are guessing we must have picked the most expensive one. It seems there should be a range to pick from to ensure budgets were considered but that wasn't the case. He measured the counters and then handed us the final number - which was ~$17K+. The estimator then pushed to close the sale that day and we declined as we were getting other quotes. I asked for an itemization to see where we could trim down (example, use my plumber, pick a less expensive quartz, pick different sinks, etc) and MKD would not provide it. I found the Silestone quartz we had picked for the MKD quote at Lowes and the cost came at half of what MKD quoted. The MKD sales pitch was that Costco has massive buying power and can get the quartz at a good deal. Costco may be getting quartz at a good deal, but MKD appears to be inflating the rest of the installation cost. The 10% discount for a Costco card still put's MKD's quote much higher than what I've found at other stores.

Our countertops look absolutely amazing (these photos are before the backsplash, which we are doing ourselves). We have an old kitchen with lots of handmade cabinets and ODD little pieces to deal with. Brandon, who took our measurements, had small suggestions that made a tremendous difference in modernizing the room - but was never pushy about anything. Matt did the install and they look beautiful. He made sure we were happy with everything and was knowledgeable as well. The only thing I can say is that I wish we had been kept more up to date. We went through Home Depot so I can’t say for sure if it was MKD or somewhere else in the chain, but I had to call a couple times when I didn’t hear back as expected. However, each person I spoke to was kind when I called. I still would recommend overall!

BUYERS BEWARE!!!There are multiple problems with our countertop, there were also delivery problems and we still are waiting for a resolution from the company. We made our purchase through Home Depot, Home Depot is blaming MKD and MKD is just not getting back with us or saying it is not their problem. It's been weeks since the install! We put our faith in these companies. A couple thousand dollars may not be much to them but it represents years of savings to us. I am so tired of not being heard so I decided to post.

Installers were actually early. Installation took less than 1/2 hour ( I think …I was surprised how quickly it went.). We received a thorough explanation of process and how to care for countertop.
