When you have a big dream of a whole slab island, Jorge and team are there to bring it to fruition. I would say that we have gone back to McKinley at least 4 times over the years for room by room improvements and each time, they have exceeded our expectations. Thoughtful, articulate, careful and fair pricing has earned our business time and time again. Do not hesitate to use this team, they completed on time, at cost quoted and with quality that we know will last the life of our home. Our leather granite finished wet bar and complimentary colored polished granite kitchen are show stoppers that we get endless compliments on and we have them to thank for the install that brought it all together!

McKinley Countertops are exceptional. They are friendly and very experienced. Their work is impeccable. Their prices are better than all other countertop providers. Don't waste your time with Lowes or Home Depot. They measured and fitted my countertop in less than a week when Home Depot was requesting six to eight weeks. I recommend you call George and set up an appointment immediately. They have a large selection on countertops available on site. Congratulations to George and his team.

After much looking at several countertop companies throughout Anchorage, we elected to use McKinley Countertops for our kitchen upgrade. We found every person in this family owned and operated business to be very friendly, flexible and accommodating. We requested a quote which was provided the following day and the final install price was the same as the quote. After finding a slab of granite that matched our interest we asked to see the sheet behind it to ensure of its quality and pattern. Without hesitation they immediately moved the front slab to give us a very clear look at the other slabs behind. One other company refused to do this as it was too much effort. When the time came to decide on the actual outlay and pattern they were very helpful in laying out the best use of the granite pattern and veins. Their experience really paid off during this part of the project. On the day of install Jorge and Max showed up on time, were extremely pleasant and easy to work with and a few hours later out kitchen was beautiful due to their talented workmanship and exceptional service. We highly recommend McKinley Countertops, they take pride in their work.

We used McKinley Countertops when we built our home. Thirteen years later, we had an issue with the house settling that created a gap between our slabs of quartz and we had chips along the edges from simple wear and tear. McKinley came out and repaired the work for a reasonable price. Our kitchen looks as good as new!

My family and I have used Mckinley Countertops to renovate three of our bathrooms. They have done a fantastic job with each installation! One of the countertops was along a curved wall which did not make it the easiest counter to get perfect. It was absolutely no problem for Jorge or Max. It turned out beautiful. They are always super helpful, knowledgeable, professional, efficient and accommodating. They are a family owned and operated local business (we have known for many years). I definitely recommend them for home or commercial countertops.

We had McKinley countertops install our granite a few years ago. They were very flexible around our unpredictable schedule (I was very pregnant at the time). They were able to reschedule to accommodate my child's early birth and install the countertops quickly. There was a chip in a barely noticeable location and came right back out to repair the defect without issue and its not even detectable. I'd use them again.

I scheduled an appointment on a Friday at 5pm for McKinley Countertops (MC) to visit my home and take measurements for a new granite countertop. MC called and asked to move the appt. to 4pm and I agreed. I took 1.5 hours of vacation time for this accomodation, but MC never showed up until 4:45pm! On the day of countertop installation, I took 8 hours of vacation and was told to expect MC to show up at 9am. By 9:30am, MC was a no show, so I called. Apparently, someone at MC was supposed to call me and tell me that they could not make it until 10:30am. The MC crews arrived an installed the countertop without incident. Ultimately, I asked for a discount equal to two hours of MC labor rate ($90/hour) because MC wasted 2 hours of MY time and my vacation bank. MC refused to give my any type of price break. MC had multiple excuses regarding the missed appointments. However, MC admitted that if I had wasted two hours of their time, I would have been charged for two hours. Bottom line: McKinley Countertops does NOT value their customer's time and is unwilling to admit their mistakes at time management and customer communication. I recommend that you shop elsewhere.

I would not recommend this company. We installed $3000 worth of granite from them as part of a bathroom remodel. The backsplash was not cut at the same time as the countertop (their mistake). The MC installers suggested the backsplash be cut to 5.25" instead of 4". My contractor told the installers "don't cut the backsplash yet." I called MC that same day and told them "don't cut the backsplash yet." 2 weeks later the backsplash was cut to 4". Jorge the owner said he was not told about the change and that I should have emailed him (which no one suggested). Apparently all of the remaining material was sold to someone that needed a lot of 4" backsplash so a new backsplash couldn't be cut. After too much discussion the owner eventually offered $150 off because of the mix up. My credit card was charged the final amount without my approval or a final invoice. Owner states "I'm loosing money" because the crew had to come up a second time to install the backsplash (which they were going to have to do anyways because of their original mistake). Owner states "I'm loosing money" because customer (me) is being too picky by performing a final inspection of the install prior to signing off on the work at end of the day. Overall a very frustrating experience with questionable business practices. I would avoid this business.

They did our new countertops and they totally cut them short and They totally let it slide when ever I try to re-caulk it to make it look half way decent it bubbles or lifts up due to being cut short and it looks horrible and well shame on them for not measuring 2 to make sure. For a job over $5000.00 would've thought we have at least gotten quality workmanship

HORRIBLE, unbelievably POOR, UNPROFESSIONAL customer service! DO NOT do business with these people! My husband and I decided to have a new custom vanity made for our bathroom. About 6 to 8 weeks ago, I visited their store where I picked out and paid $1,110.00 IN FULL for the piece of granite I selected. I was assured our name would be placed on the granite and it would be removed from display. Everything in the bathroom, the paint, the flooring, the vanity, and the linen pantry that was to be replaced/remodeled, to the tune of $5,000, was selected based on the colors in THAT piece of granite I selected. Once the vanity was delivered and in place, we called for them to come out for the template measurement. They said they would be out on a Monday at 10:00. Monday came and went, no one showed and no one bothered to call us and we couldn't get a hold of them. They called the next morning with a lame excuse/apology and made arrangements to come out for the measurement. They didn't give us a definite date for the install, so we decided to stop by their shop a couple days later to inquire about the install date. We also wanted to take a look at our piece of granite as we had specified what end of the stone we wanted our counter top cut from, and wanted to ensure they remembered our request. We waited as they began to try to find our PAID FOR piece of granite. After several minutes, it became apparent that our granite was nowhere to be found and was no longer there! THEY SOLD OUR BOUGHT AND PAID FOR GRANITE TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!! More unacceptable, lame excuses were given as they tried to apologize and explain what could have possibly happened. The owner offered to "make it right" with a "discount". When I inquired about the discount, he offered up $100.00. What a joke! Now, we're back to square one on the search for a piece of granite that we can tie in with the rest of the bathroom that was designed around the piece of granite that they sold out from under us. Do yourself a favor and do business with one of the many other granite stores in town. These people don't care one bit about customer service and that's because, simply put, they don't care one bit about their customers.

BUYER BEWARE! The owner of the company is not an honest service provider and will out and out lie to cover his mistakes. Too many complaints to list but here are a few: - They promised we could help template the countertops... NOT. - There were numerous cracks and chips that they had shoddily repaired in house before delivery and did not tell us about it. - Wanted us to accept wrong backsplash configuration and belittled me for wanting it to be correct. - I have a single hole faucet and they drilled the tops for a three-hole faucet. Although he, the owner, stopped by before the job and inspected the faucet himself, he blamed me and refused to correct the mistake. He actually said that "I" told him where to drill the holes. Anyway, this mistake was confirmed by the operations manager to me personally. I questioned why they put the three holes so close together and he told me they drilled the countertop for a three-hole faucet! It is truly a shame that we in Alaska have these kind of businesses that we have to deal with...!

We had some counter tops installed 3 ago. A few months went by and we noticed 2 cracks in the counter tops about 2-3 inches long. McKinley came out and did an evaluation of the cracks. We were refered to the warranty company who didn't even have anyone in Alaska to come evaluate the cracks. McKinley offered no replacement of the counter tops or no help resolving this issue. Do not use this company. There is no customer support and their warranty company is a joke.

I would not use this company. They damaged the wall removing my old countertops and then left a gap all the way along the wall and new granite countertop. They refused to fix this issue which is making putting up the tile backsplash a much harder job than it should be.

The owner of this company is a absolute terror. To start with we had an install date scheduled and he didnt show up until two weeks later and was unavailable during the time we were waiting. The bathroom counters were not done as ordered and he wanted to charge us a 500$ change fee to fix his error. The kitchen countertops he installed were not even the stone we ordered and he refuses to admit this error. He won't even tell us what exactly they are or where they came from. He is an absolutely unreasonable person who is now threatening us as we simply try to salvage what we hoped would be our dream kitchen. I cannot say any stronger, do not give this company your money. They care nothing about customer service or satisfaction. They happily took our money and didn't do anything as we asked.
