Sol is NOT part owner of czar woodmill. He just lied. I spent over 750k for renovations always on time. Sol then was busy with a friends sickness. Familiarity breeds contempt. He then ripped me off on wall unit left Hany in charge. Tried bait and switch 30k => 65k. Then he left the 30k wall unit built incorrectly. Now he bought it I’m the beneficiary since Woodmill would not give markup like every industry does. Sol Hany czarwoodmill all lied. The unit is worth half. Stay away from these unethical greedy people.

Bottom line is that we couldn't be happier with our renovation and fully enjoyed working with Sol and Celia. Here are the details. We purchased our apartment in 3Q 2021. We decided to go with MCKB for a few reasons. First, they had done the renovation of our last apartment (done by previous owner) and we thought their work was first-rate. Second, they were doing another renovation in the building and the owner was very pleased with them. Third, because everything falls under Sol, there is no finger pointing as everything leads back to him. We signed the paperwork in or around December 2022 and handed over the keys for them to begin the renovation on June 11, 2022. We moved back in shortly after Labor Day. The bathrooms were 95% done and the kitchen reached that point in October. By November, everything was 100% done. Right on schedule, despite the many pandemic-related delays, and the work was first rate. Sol and Celia were wonderful to deal with. Thoughtful, responsive, and both possessed of a keen eye for design. To be fair, we did a lot of the design work ourselves, but the suggestions they made from layout to the idea of putting a dry bar into our dining room really made everything sing. We've had a lot of design professionals over to our place and everyone has been wowed. So, in conclusion, easy to deal with and the job came in on time, on budget and beautifully done. What more could you ask for?

All contractors may be created equal but they don’t end up that way. Sol Kassorla and his elite team at Manhattan Center for Kitchen and Bath shatters the almost universal belief that contractors overcharge and underperform. In fact, Sol overdelivers for reasonable prices and his team was responsive and diligently attuned to all our needs during what is normally a chaotic and stressful experience. Ours was shockingly smooth and easy from start to finish. Our full gut renovation was done slightly ahead of schedule with a meticulous attention to detail and a remarkable degree of craftsmanship. Sol’s advice and guidance was crucial and resulted in a stunning apartment. He is a unicorn, plain and simple. No need to research any other companies; do yourself a huge favor and hire him now.

I worked with Celia Reiss to remodel my kitchen and had a good experience. Celia was responsive when I sent questions; she would answer promptly and followup when necessary. I liked Celia’s innovative ideas to maximize storage including a bifold upper cabinet which allows access to a blind corner and a Lemans pull-out two-tiered shelf on the lower section of the corner. Celia listened well and was receptive to my thoughts but also offered her experienced advice when I was conflicted on a decision. MCKB installation people did a great job.

Went in there had a consultation. That lady promised to give me a proposal in 3-4 days. But she totally forget me. Didn’t contact me again. Probably she doesn’t think I’m worthy of a customer. Rude. She doesn’t know a young girl like me renovated so many apt every year. She judge book from cover. Not worthy of ur time. Warning. Chinese cabinet give proposal right away. She need 4 days and never reply after one month.

Absolutely the best place for all interior design, kitchen, bath, remodeling! They did my apartment from top to bottom and it was came out better than I could have imagined! I am so grateful to the whole team for all their hard work, attention to detail and commitment to excellence. This should be your one stop shop because they not only do the design, they have an in house construction company too that does everything from tile, flooring, walls, ceilings, plumbing, electric, its a ONE STOP SHOP! AND Best of all QUALITY!!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We redid our kitchen with Hany Gerges and could not recommend strongly enough. From the design to post installation adjustments/corrections, Hany showcased why you want a reputable company to do a major renovation like kitchen. We own a brownstone and wanted to redo our galley kitchen, since the cabinets are starting to show signs of aging. The kitchen was converted from a butler's pantry, not big, about 15'x5'. One of the major requirements we had was to maximize storage, since we wanted to keep as much of the kitchen cookware and pantry inside the kitchen. We shopped around different designers and found MCKB's showroom to be impressive. But the real winner is Hany, the designer. Hany was very patient in listening to our functional requirements (storage maximizing), design requirements (matching traditional interior design theme), cost considerations (we wanted good quality, but not magazine center folds), etc. Since this was our first kitchen renovation, we shifted and changed requirements often during the design phase and Hany was very accommodating. More impressive is that he was able to respectfully interject with suggestions that we would not have considered. Practicality was something that he brought to the table. The fee required for the design work was well worth it, even if we decided to not use MCKB. Ordering and installation was a breeze, with Hany also able to guide us on how the appliances may have implications to the cabinetry layout. The installation team was part of the MCKB crew and you can tell they have tight communication and work experiences together. Hany remained the primary point of contact throughout the process, including when we wanted cabinet door adjustments. Work was done on time and on schedule. But to me, the real strength to going with a reputable firm like MCKB is that they stand behind their work. About 2 weeks after the full installation, I noticed a hairline fracture on the refrigerator panel. A quick email to Hany and replacement was ordered and reinstalled. It was quite the relief to know that when you run into issues, MCKB is there.

Celia, one of the designers at MCKB, helped us design and pick out all the countertops, cabinets, tiles, fixtures for our kitchen remodel and was very easy to work with and responsive to all my questions and e-mails along the way. The process was incredibly easy and stress free. I would highly recommend her as a designer. They also have a wonderful in house contractor who took care of all of the painting and floor refinishing as well as electrical and plumbing issues so it was all done seamlessly. Meryl was my contact who was incredibly helpful with the whole construction process. Highly recommend the entire shop!!
