Amazing experience with Sol and the team! I had my brownstone completely renovated these last few months which wasn’t easy considering the current affairs. MCKB was able to secure everything before the shutdown and then really fast tracked my project the moment things opened up again. The details, efficiency, cleanliness and professionalism of all the people was beyond my expectations! If you’re doing a kitchen, a bathroom, a complete gut renovation then this is your place! They do the best work in New York! Hands down!

Sol is NOT part owner of czar woodmill. He just lied. I spent over 750k for renovations always on time. Sol then was busy with a friends sickness. Familiarity breeds contempt. He then ripped me off on wall unit left Hany in charge. Tried bait and switch 30k => 65k. Then he left the 30k wall unit built incorrectly. Now he bought it I’m the beneficiary since Woodmill would not give markup like every industry does. Sol Hany czarwoodmill all lied. The unit is worth half. Stay away from these unethical greedy people.

Bottom line is that we couldn't be happier with our renovation and fully enjoyed working with Sol and Celia. Here are the details. We purchased our apartment in 3Q 2021. We decided to go with MCKB for a few reasons. First, they had done the renovation of our last apartment (done by previous owner) and we thought their work was first-rate. Second, they were doing another renovation in the building and the owner was very pleased with them. Third, because everything falls under Sol, there is no finger pointing as everything leads back to him. We signed the paperwork in or around December 2022 and handed over the keys for them to begin the renovation on June 11, 2022. We moved back in shortly after Labor Day. The bathrooms were 95% done and the kitchen reached that point in October. By November, everything was 100% done. Right on schedule, despite the many pandemic-related delays, and the work was first rate. Sol and Celia were wonderful to deal with. Thoughtful, responsive, and both possessed of a keen eye for design. To be fair, we did a lot of the design work ourselves, but the suggestions they made from layout to the idea of putting a dry bar into our dining room really made everything sing. We've had a lot of design professionals over to our place and everyone has been wowed. So, in conclusion, easy to deal with and the job came in on time, on budget and beautifully done. What more could you ask for?

All contractors may be created equal but they don’t end up that way. Sol Kassorla and his elite team at Manhattan Center for Kitchen and Bath shatters the almost universal belief that contractors overcharge and underperform. In fact, Sol overdelivers for reasonable prices and his team was responsive and diligently attuned to all our needs during what is normally a chaotic and stressful experience. Ours was shockingly smooth and easy from start to finish. Our full gut renovation was done slightly ahead of schedule with a meticulous attention to detail and a remarkable degree of craftsmanship. Sol’s advice and guidance was crucial and resulted in a stunning apartment. He is a unicorn, plain and simple. No need to research any other companies; do yourself a huge favor and hire him now.

I worked with Celia Reiss to remodel my kitchen and had a good experience. Celia was responsive when I sent questions; she would answer promptly and followup when necessary. I liked Celia’s innovative ideas to maximize storage including a bifold upper cabinet which allows access to a blind corner and a Lemans pull-out two-tiered shelf on the lower section of the corner. Celia listened well and was receptive to my thoughts but also offered her experienced advice when I was conflicted on a decision. MCKB installation people did a great job.

Went in there had a consultation. That lady promised to give me a proposal in 3-4 days. But she totally forget me. Didn’t contact me again. Probably she doesn’t think I’m worthy of a customer. Rude. She doesn’t know a young girl like me renovated so many apt every year. She judge book from cover. Not worthy of ur time. Warning. Chinese cabinet give proposal right away. She need 4 days and never reply after one month.

We redid our kitchen with Hany Gerges and could not recommend strongly enough. From the design to post installation adjustments/corrections, Hany showcased why you want a reputable company to do a major renovation like kitchen. We own a brownstone and wanted to redo our galley kitchen, since the cabinets are starting to show signs of aging. The kitchen was converted from a butler's pantry, not big, about 15'x5'. One of the major requirements we had was to maximize storage, since we wanted to keep as much of the kitchen cookware and pantry inside the kitchen. We shopped around different designers and found MCKB's showroom to be impressive. But the real winner is Hany, the designer. Hany was very patient in listening to our functional requirements (storage maximizing), design requirements (matching traditional interior design theme), cost considerations (we wanted good quality, but not magazine center folds), etc. Since this was our first kitchen renovation, we shifted and changed requirements often during the design phase and Hany was very accommodating. More impressive is that he was able to respectfully interject with suggestions that we would not have considered. Practicality was something that he brought to the table. The fee required for the design work was well worth it, even if we decided to not use MCKB. Ordering and installation was a breeze, with Hany also able to guide us on how the appliances may have implications to the cabinetry layout. The installation team was part of the MCKB crew and you can tell they have tight communication and work experiences together. Hany remained the primary point of contact throughout the process, including when we wanted cabinet door adjustments. Work was done on time and on schedule. But to me, the real strength to going with a reputable firm like MCKB is that they stand behind their work. About 2 weeks after the full installation, I noticed a hairline fracture on the refrigerator panel. A quick email to Hany and replacement was ordered and reinstalled. It was quite the relief to know that when you run into issues, MCKB is there.

Celia, one of the designers at MCKB, helped us design and pick out all the countertops, cabinets, tiles, fixtures for our kitchen remodel and was very easy to work with and responsive to all my questions and e-mails along the way. The process was incredibly easy and stress free. I would highly recommend her as a designer. They also have a wonderful in house contractor who took care of all of the painting and floor refinishing as well as electrical and plumbing issues so it was all done seamlessly. Meryl was my contact who was incredibly helpful with the whole construction process. Highly recommend the entire shop!!

We have gut renovated two apartments before and have always gotten along with our contractors. MCKB is head and shoulders above the others. We needed to gut renovate the kitchen in our new apartment and do some other odds and ends. MCKB provided terrific design ideas for the kitchen and their in house contractor did a beautiful installation. We did some significant design changes mid stream and they handled it all with aplomb. They aren't the budget choice but we can't say enough good things about their level of service.

This place is fantastic. Hany did impeccable work, guiding me to create the most beautiful and well functioning kitchen! I actually came to the store after a disappointing experience at another very well respected shop. Hany immediately noticed many discrepancies in the measurements of the space in the kitchen. Through his carefully detailed work and vast experience in the needs of a well functioning kitchen, I ended up with the best layout possible. I couldn't be happier. Every detail was tended to thoroughly. No surprise complications. And the quality of the cabinets themselves is the finest! The entire experience and result was perfection!

Celia helped me design and execute the most amazing kitchen I have ever seen. I now own and cook in a kitchen that is my dream kitchen beyond my wildest expectations. Celia worked with me on every inch, every corner, leaving no stone unturned, sometimes literally! I had an idea of what I wanted, and she pushed it to where I couldn't even have ever imagined. She's a great listener and interpreter. When a design wasn't working the way we wanted it to, she went back to her desk and figured out how to make it work. But the most important thing is not only is my kitchen absolutely gorgeous, it's extremely functional. I enjoy cooking in it every single day. And when I'm not cooking, I'm just as happy sitting and looking at it.

We collaborated with Celia Reiss at MCKB to design our kitchen as part of an apartment renovation during the pandemic year, and she was a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and experienced, with insight and advice to aid in our many decisions, as well as responsive and helpful with challenges that arose along the way. MCKB has a wide array of excellent choices for cabinetry and appliances. Celia was also proactive in solving some issues that resulted from a misunderstanding with our contractor, and helped resolve things efficiently and attractively. We are thrilled with the end result. Thank you, Celia!

We purchased our new apartment -- a sponsor coop in Gramercy on March 3rd, 2020 just as COVID-19 was ramping up. We had met briefly with Celia Reiss earlier that day and looked at different cabinet options though out the show room. We are so happy that we did! This turned out to be a long-distance, email, text and phone chat kitchen remodeling project and Celia was up to the job at hand. Celia is professional, genuine, low-key, detail-oriented, incredibly patient and calming. Our initial contractor pulled out at the last minute and Celia took right up with his replacement. Her communication skills are excellent. Nothing was left to chance, things were clearly laid out. Measurements were checked and re-checked. Things were confirmed in writing. There were no fake delivery dates. Everything was on time and according to schedule despite the pandemic, Photos of work in progress were sent. Suggestions were made but things were never pushed on us. It was a great creative process. We recommend Celia without reservations. We would use Celia again without hesitation. This was the 8th kitchen renovation we have done and Celia made it all come together.

We recently worked with Hany Gerges of MCKB to assist in templating and fabricating a countertop and backsplash for our kitchen. Hany and his team were stepping in to cover a portion of a scope of work a separate contractor of ours was supposed to do, but we learned were being charged handsomely for. Hany was patient with us, and with our other contractor and their team, and was helpful in the selection process. He also made great suggestions regarding execution of the project. We are very happy with the design, installation and final product and hold MCKB in high regard following this project. We plan to seek them out in the future for the next project (a bathroom) we have in the pipes.

We were very happy with MCK+B! We worked with Celia Reiss on our kitchen countertop replacement. Celia was great to work with, and came up with a wonderful solution for our unstandard New York loft situation. She always responded quickly. Ray and Jose who templated and installed were top notch. Turn time was quick. Highly recommend MCKB.

My kitchen is being renovated. Coordinating the gold or brass tones became a much more daunting task than I had anticipated. In addition to the hue coordination issue, I had not imagined the absolute and inexcusably rude behavior I encountered in most of the 10+ boutique home improvement stores I visited. I half-heartedly entered your showroom, knowing I was going to meet another rude male Caucasian talking at me and not listening. The very moment I met Ms. Zinga Doyle, I said: "I should have come here first." I was met with a warm welcoming smile, good home-trained manners and an impressive knowledge base. I was able to explain what I wanted, Ms. Zinga Doyle listened, made suggestions, along with the reasons for the suggestions. She researched and found companies that had the height faucet that I needed and coordinated the hue for the cabinet handles and drawer pulls that would best embellish my kitchen decor. Ms. Zinga Doyle is an exceptional face and representative for your company. I sing her praises everywhere I go!

With a referral to MCK+B, we stopped in during the early planning stage of our extensive remodel. We were so lucky to do so. The showroom held about 8 high-quality, demonstration kitchen cabinet layouts complete with counter tops, handles, appliances and plumbing fixtures. We were very impressed by the range of products to view and the quality of construction that was demonstrated. This was when we met Celia Reiss, a designer with MCKB. Working with Celia turned out to be the most enjoyable, productive and satisfying parts of our project. Cabinet design challenges came and went with Celia's knowledge, skill and guidance. Celia kept us informed in advance and followed up to help keep us on schedule. She was always patient and helped us make up our minds while fielding our seemingly limitless questions. MCKB also provides the installation of their cabinets. This is the only way to do it. Giovanni was an expert installer and a true professional. Everything fit or was made to fit perfectly. Our kitchen is both very functional and beautiful to look at. We love it! We cook everyday and believe that our MCKB kitchen adds to the pleasures of cooking for us. Every element is perfect and it could not be more convenient. We believe the convenience is reflective of Celia's design skills.

We highly recommend MCKB! We did our new kitchen (and more..) with them. Project included removal of a wall, all new floors + ceilings + doors, a huge amount of re-piping both for the plumbing and the steam heat, and also new cabinets and appliances. Also renovated adjacent powder room and refurbished and painted all the other rooms on the first floor of our nearly 100 year old townhouse. Start to finish, and step by step, the MCKB team helped us with every aspect of the project. From the oh-so-difficult decision making process at the start all the way to cleaning the fingerprints off the new fridge at final completion, we found a level of professionalism and helpfulness from everyone on this staff that is quite rare. Before we started, our friends who had done a similar job on LI told me that the worst part of their renovation project was when, in the middle of the project, no one from the contractor showed up on any given day and they were left wondering what's going on as the days slipped by and the kitchen seemed to be on hold... THIS NEVER HAPPENED! NOT EVEN ONCE!! Construction crews were scheduled perfectly, arriving every day at 8:30 sharp with the right guys for what needed to be done that day. The American made Rutt cabinetry we purchased from MCKB is absolutely beautiful, well designed and built with quality materials throughout.. even the inside parts you never see. No particleboard here! Fit and finish is perfect. And there is a definite 'wow factor' with these cabinets when people see them for the first time:) We ordered our new appliances from Drimmer's, which is located inside the MCKB showroom. (They also have a larger location in Brooklyn.) Pricing was great and customer service was totally on point. Appliances were delivered and installed on schedule (except the fridge, which was backordered by the manufacturer. Drimmer's delivered a loaner fridge for us to use and when ours finally came in, they swapped it out:) Nice! Our quartzite countertops also came out beyond our expectations. We chose our slab at the stone yard. The fabricator came to measure, and then did a flawless installation. Perfect. As you may have seen mentioned in other reviews, MCKB is not the bargain basement of builders, but like many things in life, here you really do get what you pay for. So to sum up: -Great design team. -Incredible consistency and quality in all aspects of demo/construction/finish work. -Never missed a day - not one day - for the entire duration of the project. -Amazingly helpful attitude from all employees. -Beautiful, show-stopping end result.

I only have great things to say about MCKB. The designer we worked with, Celia Reiss, was absolutely amazing. She's extremely talented, very helpful, and was always there to answer any questions we had. Always got back to us in a timely manner. She really took the time to make sure we were happy & satisfied with their service from start to finish. She made what is usually a grueling process (renovating a kitchen & bathrooms), pleasant and stress free. We used MCKB to do our kitchen cabinets, and three bathroom vanities, which all came out beautiful. Highly recommend!

I must have been living under a rock my adult hood or depended on my ex girlfriend for taste. Recently walked in to Manhattan center for kitchen and bath to try get inspired to redecorate my recently moved into apartment. Staff was not only helpful they were patient with me. They recommended the right kitchen that was within my budget. At first I was apprehensive about the investment I have no ties to quality installers or most importantly how to decorate the other 75% of my apartment. Long story short when people come over now they are mesmerized on how great my apartment looks, especially my kitchen. Thank you so much for everything. I wish I came in earlier.

I absolutely recommend MCKB if you are looking to do any home renovations!

My experience working with Hany Gerges from MCKB on remodeling my apartment was absolutely excellent from start to finish. I had just begun a gut renovation of my 350 square foot studio, and was looking to achieve a unified décor so that my kitchen area, built-in wall unit, and windowsill/radiator cover would all compliment each other without being overly "matchy-matchy." After several weeks of exploring every kitchen showroom I came across and browsing through countless design magazines, I was overwhelmed with options. Then one day strolled into MCKB. I was instantly wowed by one of the kitchens in their showroom. The charcoal brown cabinet doors were sophisticated and elegant, the aluminum handles and steel appliances gave it a modern edge, and the fresh marble-ish quartzite countertop/backsplash exuded a light yet luxurious vibe. It was love at first sight. I spoke with the owner Sol and made an appointment to come back for a consultation with their lead design specialist. To my surprise, I was quoted a price that was quite reasonable given the high quality of the cabinetry manufacturers they carry. Through every step of the process, I relied on Hany's design expertise, as well as his exquisite taste, to help steer me in the right direction. He made sure that the end result would be ideal based on the size and layout of the space he was working with. Hany provided detailed drawings of the project and took the time to go over every detail with me until everything looked perfect. He was extremely helpful and diligent about making all of the necessary revisions. By the time we finalized the plan, I felt comfortable that I had considered every option available. The project manager (Lori), the cabinet installer (Geovanny) and the countertops/backsplash installer (Ori) were all extremely competent and everything was handled in the utmost professional manner. Working with the entire MCKB team was truly a pleasure and I am extremely happy with the final result. It has been a year since the project ended and I am still in awe of how beautiful the finished product is! I am so grateful for all of the hard work that went into helping me make all of my studio renovation dreams come true and would highly recommend MCKB to anyone looking to upgrade their home!

I had a great experience working with MCK+B designer Hany on remodeling my daughter's kitchen and creating custom built-in furniture for her Tudor City Manhattan studio apartment. Immediately after signing the contract, Hany stopped by the apartment to not only measure the area but to also get a feel for what will work best for the space. He took his time, made sketches and put together detailed notes. The project was unique. From the beginning, we had strong opinions on how the cabinets should be put together. However, during the design phase, we were easily convinced by Hany about the number of changes that needed to be implemented vs. what we initially had in mind. At the end, the new options proved to be the best ones that worked for the space. As part of the project, we needed to incorporate some custom cabinetry features, such as large hanging jewelry box, keyed file cabinets, computer desk with hidden space for outlets and wires, radiator covers, etc. They were all tastefully designed and properly constructed. The stone for the kitchen counters and the backsplash style and texture were carefully selected to work well with the cabinetry. Hany also made sure that the new hardwood floors were not clashing with the finish of the cabinetry and that the appliances, cabinet lighting, glass doors and handles complimented the design. The work between the designer, installer and the stone contractor was coordinated smoothly, and the entire project was completed within a few days after the cabinets were delivered, without any delays. Now that the work is finished, everyone absolutely loves the newly designed space! The custom built-in wall unit works great with the new kitchen cabinetry creating a conducive environment for spending time in the kitchen area, as well as in the office /personal space area. It is amazing to see how a good designer can incorporate so many functions in custom built-in furniture of a relatively small studio. I also want to acknowledge Geovanny (installer), Ori (stone contractor), Lory (project manager) and Sol (MCK+B owner). They are a truly professional team and nice people to work with, and they definitely deserve five shining stars!!

We had a 10 year old kitchen previously purchased from a competitor on W. 18th street. The competitor did a horrible job, refusing to correct problem arising from the manufacturer (Bertch), and we lived with mismatched (color-wise) cabinets. Bothered me every time I looked at them! Plus they were of inferior quality inside and were starting to show signs of wear. So wife and I decided to replace the upper cabinets (only), since the bottom cabinets were of a different material, and basically OK. After a lot of shopping around, we found upper cabinets we really liked at MCK&B. Italian, with touch lights, great doors, good materials, etc. But we were concerned, given the bad experience years earlier. We worked with Hany on the design, and used their contractor. We explained our fears and concerns, and he was very understanding. Full of assurances. Well it took about 6 months for the project to come to fruition (including the Italian summer shut-down), but the end result was fabulous. We couldn't be happier. During installation, the installer found (very minor) problems with a couple of cabinet doors and had replacements air shipped from Italy. When a few of the lights didn't work, the contractor had them replaced as well. Start to finish, the installation took 3 days. One day demo, one day prep, one day install. All done professionally. They cleaned constantly and there was no mess or dust after the work was done each day. This was about a year ago, and I am still thrilled with the cabinets. I would recommend Hany at MCK&B and would use them again.

Nearly a year later and I am still so very pleased with my kitchen. Greg was fabulous to work with on design. The product itself is amazing. We could not be happier. I recently dinged my cabinet...after a quick call to MCKB, an order was placed for a replacement, several weeks later, they came out to do the switch! No more dinged cabinet. I have nothing by positive things to say. Beware of cabinets manufactured at your contractor's suggestion, because if they warp, become damaged for whatever reason, you may not be able to replace (or it can be very difficult to replace).

We recently undertook a complete gut renovation of our small kitchen by MCKB.This was one of many renovation projects for us, so we have had extensive experience with other contractors. This was our second project with MCKB. Every aspect of the project, from planning with Hany, to its execution with Meryl and Lori, was flawless. Hany listened carefully to our ideas and helped us design a kitchen to expand our storage space dramatically while respecting our own sense of design. He thoughtfully planned every detail. There were no "surprises" at any point in the project. The timeline was met and communication was excellent. The tradesmen who worked in our apartment were considerate of the building regulations and were very careful to protect the work area. All of their work was done beautifully and was up to code. Our input during the project was always considered and a few punch list items were corrected. The result is a beautiful and functional kitchen. We could not be more pleased with the result and we highly recommend MCKB.

Hany at MCKB designed our tiny studio apartment kitchen in Chelsea and did a fabulous job. It was expensive but worth every penny. The storage he was able to capture and the recommendations for the beautiful countertops and cabinets transformed the kitchen into a beautiful little jewel box. I would recommend Hany, Gus and Fran(Drimmer's at MCKB) for all the great advice and help they provided in helping us transform a ghastly space into a functioning, efficient and beautiful kitchen. Hany, especially, made the process painless and was such a pleasure to work with. He responded immediately to ALL of my concerns and questions and the job was finished as promised and without a mess or any problems. Would use them again if ever to get a BIGGER apartment!!!! He also helped with designing the bathroom which turned out to be very important and it too came out amazingly beautiful. Thanks, Hany and MCKB for all you did.....especially since I don't even live in NYC!!

Working with Celia Reiss on our Brooklyn kitchen makeover resulted in a beautiful customized kitchen that met our desires to upgrade our counters, and storage, yet still maintain some of our favorite old touches. Celia helped us move thru multiple drafts of cabinet configurations until we got our storage system just right. She had many useful suggestions and the Rutt Regency line she help us choose is superb! MCKB's installation crew was fantastic and the countertop subs did excellent work as well. We had a variety of other work done with our own subcontractors and MCKB's work always flowed smoothly with our own.

My experience was all positive. Our plan was to gut an apartment and put in a high end kitchen. I went to 4 or 5 kitchen places, and they were all bait and switch, and communicated poorly, and did not point out issues with their products. I went to MCKB, got an appointment with a designer, and it was a breath of fresh air. They told me how the business worked. They did not put down the competition, but showed me where to look for hidden issues. The project was complex. We found the right cabinets and hardware, but we have an overall designer who was in making sure all the colors and flooring worked together, and an installation person, and a appliances person .. and they all had to work together! MCKB made that happen by providing detailed engineering grade documents, and even, to my delight, 3d elevations so that every player could have a common vision of the end result. Our designer, Greg Hitchcock included all sorts of great surprises we did not even plan on, like the way the drawers were laid out, and the inserts ... and on and on. Literally, they were able to collaborate with a team of designers in 2 cities, across a 9 month project, and it all landed on its feet, and oh, its beautiful, and its very very functional. I am sorry for the folks who had a bad experience on small projects ... but mine was great on a big project. The only reason for a 4 not a five was I have no idea if that's as good as it gets ... but it certainly met my expectations and I will use them again. I suspect the other reviewers had not dealt large projects with design houses before, so their expectations were not in line with that type of business process.

Stopped in to ask some questions - the representative Hany spent 5 minutes with me and didn't seem like he wanted to help at all. The woman at the front desk was lovely.

Apparently uneven. Clearly some people seem happy with their appointments, so possibly that's the difference. I had called the day before I went in to see if I needed an appointment. The answer (male voice) was no, you can come in at your convenience tomorrow afternoon, we should be here. When I arrived, the rep at the front desk said, "We generally ask for an appointment." She made a half-hearted attempt to show me the countertop and backsplash materials I was seeking. Although the male voice from the previous day had reassured me that they probably had what I was seeking, she was not able to locate a single useful sample of some pretty common materials. Yet she kept saying "We can send a designer to your apartment to take measurements and give you an estimate." An estimate for what materials? She told me that the designer would bring his iPad to show me some options. The whole point of going to a showroom is to see the materials--stone, quartz, tile etc.--firsthand and not in an online photo. I can't quite remember her name because, minutes after I left, realizing what a colossal waste of time it had been, I decided to throw her business card out. In retrospect, I should have asked her if I could wait for an appointment with someone else, but that could have been awkward. So, I post this here to save you time. If you go, definitely make an appointment, maybe with the person the other reviewers seem to like. If they keep offering to send a designer to your home to give you an estimate without showing you useful samples, explain to them what the purpose of a showroom is.

Good place to see appliances and layouts, but the service sucks. I walked in off the street having read reviews on Yelp. I am seriously looking to purchase appliances for our new kitchen and bathroom. The salesperson did not have the time of day for me and my questions and interest in talking about stoves. She would look at me over her glasses and give me one word answers, which was unhelpful at best. She was rude and dismissive. Was it my age or the fact I was wearing jeans and sneakers so I didn't appear to have the cash? Regardless, I should have been treated like a paying customer. And, I was the only person in the store so no excuses for the treatment.

My best advice is do not use this company. The sales staff is very affable, attentive and seemingly knowledgeable until you have paid your bill in full, which is required before MCK&B will place an order. Every time there was a problem with my installation, which was often, MCK&B laid the blame squarely on others and would not take responsibility for any issue. My sales person finally offered to come see what was going on but never showed up. As MCK&B requires up front payment this situation is, of course, difficult to navigate. We, the paid in full client, have no recourse to ensure that MCK&B will do the right thing. The manager of the installers is rude, and the installation crew has a poor sense of aesthetic. Two of many examples are, they used black sheetrock screws on wood and had to patch unnecessarily drilled holes in my very expensive cabinets. The cabinets look as though they are wearing bandaids, which is not how the showroom cabinets look. My contractor is appalled. MCK&B is the perfect example of not getting what you pay for.

Purchasing cabinets from MCKB has been the most expensive mistake I've ever made. I hope you don't make the same one. After about a year of use (in a home with one, and occasionally two, careful adults), the expensive Signature cabinets I purchased from MCKB are, in effect, dissolving around my dishwasher; over the stove and elsewhere, edges are splitting; in some places, there is cracking; installation (by MCKB's contractor) was careless; and the cabinets are frayed around the bases. Prior to renovating my kitchen in 2019, I had cabinets that (after 27 years) were in far, far better condition than these are now. Worst of all, because of the way the damage has occurred to the MCKB cabinets, I don't even see how they can be repaired, without ripping them out and replacing them. I haven't posted this sooner because I have been waiting - actually begging -- for these companies to do the right thing. I just couldn't believe they had no intention to make things right. But after months of emails, calls, photos, pleading and finally threatening, neither MCKB nor Signature has offered any solution or taken any responsibility for the damage, even though all the damage resulted from normal kitchen use, with normally operating kitchen appliances (each of which is identified, by make and model, on the kitchen drawings drafted by MCKB). At one point, after some months of emails, the owner of MCKB emailed me that he'd "'personally reached out to the owners of Signature cabinetry to demand that they get back to you ." That was the last I heard from him, and a month after that, no one from Signature had contacted me. Finally, I called Signature. I was told I would hear back. No call back. Eventually, by email, I somehow succeeded in getting Signature and MCKB to come to look at the damage. They took a lot of pictures. That resulted, again, in absolutely nothing. I was promised a response by last week - on a date chosen by Signature and MCKB -- and I made clear to them that the date they chose had to be a firm date. On that date, I received nothing other than an email that Signature had written a report, but the owner of MCKB needed to review it. Again - the runaround. So to date, it appears that the cabinets I purchased are expensive garbage, and that neither MCKB nor Signature, who have my thousands and thousands of dollars, have the slightest intent to stand by their service, product and promises (including a "lifetime warranty" from Signature). I am going to pursue my rights against both these companies as best I can, but in the meantime, I hope I can keep others from making the same mistake I made.

They ask you to put down a $2,500 deposit that they assure you will get put toward your kitchen remodel. However, they don't tell you that they will increase the prices significantly upon seeing your home and taking measurements. Hany Georges was dishonest in his in store estimate. The manager also didn't help to remediate the situation. He yelled at me in his store. The prices charged were 4x other contractors (e.g., $18k to paint a one bedroom apartment. Other contractors and remodelers will come give you an estimate for free. They wouldn't give me the plans or let the $2.5k go towards a smaller cabinet purchase.

I would obviously give zero star if I could. I purchased a Kohler bath tub earlier this year. A few weeks after the installation, it started showing spider cracks in the corners. I later found out this is apparently a frequent defect with Kohler cast iron tubs. But obviously neither MCKB nor Kohler would admit it. Kohler agreed to replace the tub but MCKB still charged me a new delivery fee, considering they did nothing wrong. Not only they did not try and lower the fee, but the sales rep was quite rude during the whole process. Don't let Zinga fool you, all nice when you enquire about products but once your credit card has been charged there is no one left but rudeness. When I initially called her about the issue, the answer was a cold "There is nothing we can do, you have to call Kohler directly. Good luck." And then I had to pay myself for my contractor to undo and redo all his work - destroy to later rebuild a small wall at the end of the tub, tiling all over that and around bathtub, un- and re-installation of the tub. Why would I go to something that looks like a "nice" store instead of Home Depot, if I get a much worse customer service and end up spending 3 times the price?

We end up purchasing kitchen and several other built in from them event I had plenty of warning signs no to do business with them in the first place. One of the reason is because we really liked Rutt kitchen cabinets and they are one of the few dealers in NYC. However design and spec was not as custom as you would expect. They also were very sneaky about options and subsequently about pricing. Working with them was at the very least unpleasant and stressful.

By far the worst customer service I have ever received. The salesperson, Zinga Doyle, was not only incompetent but incredibly rude. She actually hung up on me. The manager, Saul, was no help. I was able to clear up my issue quickly and easily by contacting the manufacturer directly.

Its hard giving these guys even one star. We chose MCKB to purchase most of our items that we needed for our Kitchen and Bath renovation. We wanted to go to local business that provided expert advise and consultation (as their business description reads) Our rep was Gus who basically sits behind a desk and recommends items to you once you tell him your specs and what you are looking for. Most of these items need to be purchased in full sight unseen since they do not have a sample of every item in the store. That entails a certain about of expertise on the reps part and trust on the buyers part. We told Gus that we were interested in a deeper tub than the standard. Knowing our specs and that we would also be using the tub to stand to take a shower as well, Gus pulled out his book and went directly to the Kohler Soissons Tub. "This is the one" he said. He also showed us a sample tub in the showroom and said "its just like this one". We purchased what Gus recommended. When the tub arrived and was installed we noticed that it was extremely narrow, to the point where you couldn't stand in it to take a shower. We had already paid in full for the tub and for it to be installed so we were now about $5,500 in the hole. So the tub had to be ripped out at our expense and we had to purchase a new one to reinstall. MCKB took no responsibility for selling us the wrong tub. Gus tried to play the nice guy by saying that he had to "talk to the big boss" about our issue and that he really wanted to resolve this situation on our behalf. We bought a lot of items there. But in the end, he took absolutely no responsibility for selling us a tub that was completely wrong for our bathroom. Don't trust these guys or their "expertise".

Do not give your business to the thieves at MCKB. Our kitchen counter was the wrong material and it started to stain immediately. Then they refused to do anything about it. $6,000 down the drain.
