Mike Thomas was amazing. We picked out our granite countertops there. They have the slabs in store so you can see exactly what you’re getting. They take a photo of the countertops and show exactly what it is going to look like. (See photo attached) We could not be happier. I think the time from order to install was like 2-3 weeks. They’ve been installed for over a year now they still look wonderful. Highly recommend!

We originally went to Lonnie’s Stonecrafters for our countertop only. We were planning on getting our cabinets from a big box store. David was great to work with. He knows the product he sells inside and out and was open with us about which product would best suit our needs. There was no pressure to look at the most expensive pieces. After a terrible experience with big box design and installation team, David introduced us to Matt and Andy. What an awesome team. I was never treated as just a job. They had quick and accurate answers to my questions, put together a realistic quote and accepted changes and redirections without fuss. Matt even found big mistakes that the big box had made and much to our surprise….the cabinets AND install were thousands less. Schedules and timelines were made, the installation went off without issue. The construction company guys were on time, polite and extremely tidy. In a nutshell, we are absolutely thrilled with the kitchen Lonnie’s did for us. Beautiful products, great staff and just an all around fantastic experience.

We are planning to remodel our kitchen and have been shopping for counter tops. We visited Lonnie's and spent time looking at the granite slabs. David spent a lot of time with us giving us so much information. We then also visited 2 other establishments in Rockford but ended up choosing to buy the granite from Lonnie's because of David's wonderful customer service! Thank you David!

The only reason I’m leaving a 3 because the physical countertops are great….. Highly highly recommend you do not agree to a quote until they actually measure. Our quote increased almost 1,000. We agreed on an estimated quote and we’re told it should only go up by about 200-300. Guy comes out to measure and said idk if they told you but this is going increase, but I think it’s more than what they said.. but have no worries we will take care of you…. He made a point to repeat that. No biggie we already paid half and it’s non refundable… Final price $1000 more than quoted…just not a cool way to do business in my experience. Otherwise though, the actual countertops and look is great.

I would use them as a supplier. Everything from start to end of process has been horrible. Don't use kiba nothing matches trim , 7 months into a 6 week project. Still won't have the cabinet process to fix trim contact me. Don't give all money up front then the service stops. Kiba is not worth your money now can't even get furniture medic to help kibas mess

Thank you so much to everyone at Lonnie’s who had any part in helping create our new kitchen! This process has been quite the journey and I am so happy to have chosen Lonnie’s to help us through it all. Their showroom is great and has so many examples of things you can choose from. Matt did a wonderful job designing our kitchen and we absolutely love the layout. The installation was so smooth. Guy and Andy did such a spectacular job throughout the whole installation and we would recommend them to anyone. They were so friendly and would even take the time to talk with our daughter when she would interrupt them randomly throughout the day. They have perfect attention to detail and, clearly, have a lot of experience. It truly shows in the flawless installation of the cabinetry and hardware. They installed some under cabinetry lighting for us and when we had a minor issue with the lights, they quickly came back out to fix them. Our daughter came with us to do the countertop approval and to learn how to properly care for the countertops. While we were out in shop area doing the last approval, he gave her a couple little chunks of granite that had been cut from various other pieces of granite. He had a cool little story about each little piece he gave her. Now she thinks they are magical. So sweet. When they came to install the countertops, there was one side that was sticking out just a hair from the wall. The installers asked us if we wanted it that way, or if we would like them to cut it to line up with the wall. It was so minor that we told them that whatever was easier for them was fine. They looked at it for second, and then said, “well, it’s easier to leave it, but it will look better cut, so let’s cut it.” They added some extra work on to their day because they knew it would look better that way. The countertop is absolutely perfect in every way. We so appreciate the whole team at Lonnie’s and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks again!

Absolutely a great experience from start to finish. Ignore the moron complaining about their mask policy - not relevant. I don’t recall ever having such a great experience as a customer in any industry and they never pressured us into anything. Even the gentleman that came out to do the measurements was phenomenal. I have already referred the rest of my family. Will be back when it is time to do my kitchen. Thanks Lonnie’s!

If i could give this company a negative- five (-5) star review, I would. I generally do not post reviews, however, in this case felt it was necessary to those in the midst of an expensive decision. Updating your home is supposed to be a fun experience. When deciding to update my countertops and after shopping around at other local stone businesses in the area, I chose to go with Lonnie’s after a friend recommended them. I put half down and the remaining shortly thereafter. When choosing the edge cut, I told the salesman that I wanted one with the most resistance to any chipping. He advised that a modern straight edge would be the best option so that’s what I went with but advised that I would like rounded corners. On the day of installation, they brought the countertops in with the wrong measurements — 1.75 inch overhang on the counter between the stove and fridge, 2 inch overhang on the opposite counter of my stove, and no rounded corners. I immediately told them they were not right before securing, and that, consequently, my new fridge would not fit due to the error in measurements. The gentleman that came out to measure prior my stone being cut was nearby at another house, so he immediately came to my house to meet the installers — who were getting irritated and not at all discrete with their annoyance at the situation — unprofessionally mumbling, stomping and throwing their tools around in my kitchen. Two or three chips that were found during installation needed to be filled on site. I would think most people making any decent kitchen investment, would feel that their stone should NOT have ANY chips right off the truck and would find it totally unacceptable! The guys ended up calling the owner, Lonnie. How rude this man is — regardless of the fact that he had all of my money at that point and it was his so-called “professionals” that made these errors, was short and rude with me on the phone as if I burdened him. They ended up telling me to proceed with installation and call the office as they would come back out and make it right. Shortly after they left, I noticed other things. All seams left looking messy and not clean. One seam where the counters come together with, yet again, more filler because there was another chip where my breakfast bar and sink counter met. The stone was clearly not sealed and/or not sealed thoroughly or properly because any little spillage directly on the counter leaves a stain as well as a rough dullness. I’ve found multiple other chips throughout the counters (on the edges, around the sink, and where the counter meets up to the wall). Countertops are meant to prep food, drinks, etc. so the fact that it stains immediately after any little spill tells me the counters were not sealed. Furthermore, quality stone should not be chipping. I am extremely gentle and take great care of everything I own so none of these issues are due to carelessness or neglect but purely poor quality and service. A member of the Lonnie’s staff has been out to my house on a few occasions since all of these issues without any resolution. The last time, more specifically, he came with a steel scratch pad and soft scrub to use on my marble counters (which made me cringe) as if that would fix all of these things. He asked, “Well, what do you want us to do?” I told him that I was so disappointed and disgusted by the whole experience and that, at this point, was ready to have them come and take the counters out of my home OR to otherwise make the situation right. He advised that he was going to go back and talk to the owner, Lonnie, and would get back to me. To date, I still have not gotten a call back and have been flat out ignored!!! After the amount of money people spend and placing their trust in this business to do beautiful, quality work, you’d think they would care more about their customers. It’s been absolutely horrendous and my hope is that this detailed review gives just one good person a perspective. They should be ashamed of themselves!

The seam where the counters came together, yet again, needing more filler because there was another chip in between the breakfast bar and sink counter pieces that met together. This area should have been left looking seamless but, instead, very messy looking. The stone was clearly not sealed and/or not sealed thoroughly or properly as some areas throughout appear shiny while other areas throughout appear extremely dull as the stone looked in warehouse. Any little spillage directly onto the counter leaves a stain as well as a rough abrasive-looking dullness after wiping it away. My dishwasher door does not close properly since the installation. I’ve found multiple other chips throughout the counters (on the edges, around the sink, and where the counter should be flush to the wall). They also did not place a seal or put enough of a seal between the counters and wall because I planned to install a backsplash immediately after installation so there’s a centimeter gap that entraps, dust, crumbs, etc. Countertops are meant to prep food, drinks, etc. so the fact that it stains immediately after any little spill tells me the counters were not sealed at all and/or not done properly/thoroughly. It’s sad that I have anxiety and worry about spilling something on my countertops or that I’m going to have or find more damage. Furthermore, quality stone should not be chipping. I’m well aware that stone has imperfections, however, the pieces that you’re paying professionals to make look timeless and pretty in your home, are supposed to be treated properly and with proper care in the warehouse as well as outside of it during delivery so that any potential imperfections still look clean and beautiful once it’s installed — NOT leaving stains from a simple spill, chipped, rough or dull. He asked, “Well, what do you want us to do?” I told him that I was so disappointed and disgusted by the whole experience that, at this point, I was ready to have them come and take the counters out of my home OR to otherwise make the situation right. He advised that he was going to go back and talk to the owner, Lonnie, and would call me the next day once he spoke to him. To date, I still have not gotten a call back and have been flat out ignored!!! After the amount people spend and further placing their trust in this business to do beautiful, quality work, you’d think they would care more about their customers. It’s been absolutely horrendous and my hope is that this detailed review gives even just one good person a perspective. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves! Moreover, as a member of a family with multiple businesses that tries to support local businesses, this is NOT how you treat the customers that entrust in your work product and ultimately keep you IN BUSINESS! This is NOT okay! I have not been able to proceed with the rest of the updates to my kitchen as a result of this due to the contractor’s direction that the countertop issue needs to be resolved before the backsplash and other steps can move forward. You don’t take hard-working people’s money and then when something does not go as planned or is wrong altogether, have a “deal with it” attitude. People work hard and take pride their homes, as do you, especially the ones making an investment to update/remodel. I feel completely taken advantage of.

I highly recommend Lonnie's Stonecrafters. It's real easy to recommend their flooring center but even more so their Stonecrafters location. While our experience didn't start out so great, at the end of the day we are extremely pleased with our choice and their attention to detail. They were great to work with during the entire experience and worked diligently with us to a tremendous result! We would most definitely return to them for future projects. We picked out a remnant for a bathroom vanity and asked for a custom back splash similar to a picture we found on the internet. Worked with a guy that drew it out using cad software. Turned out beautiful. They were pleasant to work with and took time to move pieces so we could get a better look. I think some of the negative reviews are from people who expect too much. That was a few years ago and now we are ready to do a couple more bathroom vanity tops. We will go back to Lonnie's.

We had our kitchen countertops replaced with them. On instillation, we immediately noticed that one edge on our island was cut too short. We called and the person who measured was initially very rude but later agreed that there must have been a miscommunication. They replaced the island, and now it looks great! Their work on instillation isn't exactly stellar, however, they left glue all over the underside of the counters and white sediment all over my backsplash, floors, etc.

When my granite was installed they did it very quickly and sloppy. The plumber was suppose to be out to install the facet and to turn the water on. Did not happen I had to call and complain got no where. Finally someone came out charged me again after I already payed a lot for all the services. My sink leaked , had to have someone else reseal and adjust. Will not ever shop at that store again. Bad customer service!

We went in to get a quote for kitchen remodel and take advantage of the 3 year free financing they were offering. Quote was finished and we were sent a link for the financing...or what we were told. The link was for a credit card instead that didn't even cover a third of the cost. Now our credit has been hit for a hard inquiry for a credit card we don't want. Husband tried to call them and was told the person Matt that he needed to speak to was unavailable and would call him back. When he didn't receive a return call, husband called back and was told that Matt left for the day. I called them later and Matt answered the phone and double talked about how the financing was a credit card (he said he discussed that but it was never mentioned at all by anyone there) and that we'd need to call the credit card company to request an increase. Very misleading practices there! If we cannot trust them to be forthcoming why would I trust them in my home with a remodel?!

We will never go back. The salesperson was rude and acted as if he was doing us a favor by merely speaking to us. Because we were asking for a remnant for a smaller project, I think he assumed we were too poor for their store. Too bad... The granite slabs were quite beautiful, and we have three bathrooms, kitchen counters, and a bar we plan to have done in the next couple of years.
