We recently had our bathrooms remodeled by the professional, talented and truly exceptional team at Living Space Designs. Throughout the project Helen (owner), designer Amy and project manager Jason were always available to answer any questions we had and were willing to take the time to explain each stage of the process and keep us informed. Our meetings together were not only productive but enjoyable and resulted in two new beautiful and functional bathrooms done within budget and time discussed. I want to thank Helen and her team for taking such good care of us. We moved into a beautiful house a year ago and realized that we could not cook in the kitchen. There was nothing wrong with the cabinets or the appliances, but I could not cook in the kitchen without my husband being in the way. I contacted Living Space Designs, and they designed a wonderful, functional kitchen for us. The design is something I could not have imagined, and the communication was great.

Living Space Designs did a beautiful job on our master bathroom. It is now so beautiful it's like being at a resort. They listened to our needs and designed a perfect space. The materials we picked are simply gorgeous. Their General Contractor, Jerod, made the process very easy and stress free. It was a pleasure having them in our home for the duration of the project. All the designers and workers were so caring and careful and the whole process went so smoothly. I can HIGHLY recommend Living Space Designs to do your remodel. I simply can't say enough nice things about everyone we worked with. They are wonderful!

Living Space Designs totally redesigned our kitchen and guest bath, and did major upgrades to our master bath and laundry room. And because they are creative in their approach and excellent at design, they gave us the idea of repurposing our kitchen cabinets, which they replaced, so we could add the old kitchen cabinets to the garage. They also redesigned the layout of our great room and designed a new fireplace unit. We recently moved from Chicago where we had 2 major renovations in our condo over the course of 15 years. While we were happy with those, we know have a new standard of excellence since working with Living Space Design! Helen and her team have been fabulous from the design/inception to execution of the project. And in addition to the interior design work we have received, we have received countless interior decorating tips and support, helping with lighting, art, etc. ! The team is always responsive and customer focused. And very important to my husband and me is that in addition to being competent and customer focused, the team can always find a solution to any challenge or issue that emerges-- which is inevitable in any large project. Living Space Design is talented, extremely competent, and smart in how they approach the work. We are grateful to have been referred to them after moving here from Chicago.

I can't recommend Living Space Designs more. Over the summer they remodeled three of our four bathrooms. They were so easy to work with and had great ideas. The best thing about them is they do everything from designing to finishing touches. We were living in Minnesota over the summer. Working with them over the phone was great, and they were always available when I had questions or wanted photos etc. We are completely happy with the bathrooms. They are beautiful and expertly finished. Five stars for them ❤️

Living Space Design recently completed a remodel for our master bathroom, laundry room and storage room. Mia and Helen are a fabulous design team. They are energetic, ultra creative and have an impeccable sense of design and color. Moreover, they have wonderful personalities and were delightful persons with whom to work from the beginning to the end of our project. Our bathroom is gorgeous and exceeded our expectations. I actually "enjoy" doing laundry in our functional but super adorable laundry room. Our storage room now maximizes every square inch of space and is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The contracting team of LSD is top notch. We are absolutely thrilled with all aspects of Living Space Design and cannot praise them enough.

We’re snowbirds who recently completed a project with Helen Burch at Living Space Designs. Three baths were gut rehabbed, a walk-in closet was fitted out, and storage cabinets were added to the garage. Helen’s design was excellent, achieving all our goals, and adding some striking elements to their appearance that have wowed the guests who had seen the “before.” As a designer, her taste is impeccable and her knowledge of products and where to acquire them economically is vast. In addition, as an experienced contractor herself, she is aware of the issues that impact costs and can apply practical knowledge as well as design sense. Where she also helped us tremendously was as a contractor. It turned out that the contractor we used had taken on far too many jobs this past summer, and delegated to staff that were more destruction than construction squads. When we arrived here in the fall, expecting the job to be almost complete since it was promised to be done by August, we discovered our contractor was barely half done, if that, and much of what his people did was defective and needed to be redone. We fired him, and Helen said she would take over. It still took a while because we were an unexpected addition to her schedule, but her team was fantastic, doing great work, accommodating of our schedules, and attentive to our requests. We enthusiastically recommend Living Spaces Design for design, construction, or both.

Helen Burch and Amy Vargas at Living Space Designs are AWESOME kitchen designers who helped us achieve the kitchen design and build that we had envisioned - simply an amazing outcome! Living Space Designs provided common sense value with an eye for quality within our target budget. Design process was iterative and professional, which led to a highly functional kitchen with the sleek modern European style we were going for. As a design/build small business, they provided the expertise and advice we needed for the custom outcome we achieved. The overall design is thoughtful, and most importantly, works extremely well in our space using a variety of cabinet inserts, a complementary plumbing design, and mid range appliances (Cafe, LG, Bosch). Construction and installation was managed by Patrick Talley of Home Provisions, LLC, who worked directly with Helen and Amy to coordinate the build. Communication was excellent between Helen, Patrick, my wife and I using texting, email, and phone calls. The subcontractors were polite and competent with Patrick making sure that we were satisfied with the quality of workmanship, which meant he often would jump in himself to get it done right. Kudos goes to Helen, Amy, Patrick, and the Living Space Designs support staff for their attention to detail and professional service - job well done!

When I moved to Tucson, my incredibly ugly and embarrassingly unusable kitchen was my number one priority for an overhaul. I would include photos of that disaster here but your eyes would hurt. I immediately started contacting several designers. Most didn't return calls. A few said they were booked for at least a year. Helen was the only one who contacted me. I was lucky I did because this small kitchen, comprising a tiny kitchen and tinier laundry room would require Swiss Army knife precision to: - combine the kitchen and laundry room - give me more floor area - create a logical work space - add much more storage - adhere to my minimalist aesthetic. Helen wasn't scared away and her design nailed my bullet points in only a few sessions. I had no timeline for completion because I've managed construction projects in a past life. I wanted Helen and her construction team to take their time and deliver quality. As I expected, this old house presented several major challenges during the demo and build phases. All were addressed logically and successfully. The cabinet installation was a true jigsaw puzzle because the small space meant tolerances had to be exact. This was probably the toughest part of the total remodel and it was fascinating to watch it all get assembled. I'm very pleased with the results. The appliances are superb, the flow to do basic tasks in this new space is so natural and intuitive, and, I no longer have the ugliest kitchen in my neighborhood. It's a surprising show stopper when people visit: so much kitchen in such a small space. Having managed large projects, the key to success during the process is having patience and an understanding that mistakes happen. It made this complex remodel relatively pain free and the result was worth it!

Our kitchen renovation started in November 2018 and was recently completed in April 2019. The project lasted much longer than expected due to poor quality work and several damages done by workers. The only thing left to do is the replacement of the living room bamboo floors that were damaged by the workers at the beginning of construction. It was a long and stressful project. The projected cost was presented to us by Helen Burch, the designer/owner of "Living Space Designs" at the beginning of the project. The cost changed due to deleting some projects and redoing others (e.g. backsplash). We were surprised that our final bill from Helen was higher than expected. In order to understand this increase, we requested the invoices for all the work she claimed to have paid. She only provided a few paid invoices but could not produce invoices for a few entries of noticeably significant amounts. Her explanation was that a few subcontractors did not provide invoices although she paid them. I assume a business like this must keep accurate bookkeeping for tax purposes. When we were in her office to pay the increased final amount she gave us, we asked if she could provide the proof of purchase for the items she purchased for the kitchen for warranty purposes. She said she would email it the next day. A few days have past and we still haven't received it. I am not surprised this promise was not kept after working with her throughout the project. We had a great consultation with Helen and believed we made the right decision in the beginning. However, there was a drastic shift in customer service, lack of transparency & charges that I am greatly disappointed and dissatisfied in doing business with her.

I've always believed that a contractor should say what they will do and do what they say. This is not the case with Living Space Designs. In their first email to us, they said, "We keep designing until you are 100% satisfied. We paid the design deposit, had three appointments and were close to finalizing the design. They sent us (via email) the latest design and cost estimate. We emailed them back a few questions and their response was, "We just are not equipped to handle any more work at this time and we will refund you, your deposit." Really? Dropped us just like that! We asked them to reconsider but got no response. At least they did send us a check for the deposit (and it didn't bounce).
