On (8/6/2024) we had a piece of granite countertop installed in our kitchen. After they put in the sink and sealed it, we waited 24 hours. That next day we noticed that the granite was gritty and had a lot of marks and chips on it. My husband and I never noticed it when we picked it out. We then called to see if it could be fixed. Marcus, the owner said there was nothing that could be done about it. Marcus also mentioned on the call that he had noticed the poor quality of the stone before installation, but never said anything to us, and installed it anyway. So now they have our money, we have an unsightly counter top, and they are unwilling to make the situation right. Would not recommend.

Lifetime Cabinets and Countertops helped me make my master bathroom become a gorgeous room to enjoy. I chose "Fantasy Brown Leathered Stone" granite for the countertop. They came to measure in a timely manner. The purchase included the 2 sinks installed at the same time. I love what they did and you will too. Ask for KC or Marcus!

Marcus Greenwell and his team of master installers did a fantastic job on my outdoor kitchen granite install. I customized several pieces and they turned our great. Minimal almost hidden seams and no mess afterwards. Marcus was affable and very easy to get in touch with. He personally came and measured for the job then did his master installer....measure twice, cut once. I couldn't be happier. The whole process took days not weeks. I won't go anywhere else for future stone projects. I highly recommend based on my experience with this company.

Over a year ago, this company installed quartzite counter tops in my kitchen. They indicated they had never installed the slab color I selected. The owner of the business came to measure for fabrication. I had bought a sink from a 3rd party and showed it to him. I also had a paper template that I offered him to take with him. He refused. The fabricated counter tops were brought a few weeks later. The cutout for the sink was WRONG. They cut it to fit the sink they sell, not the one they measured in my home. Luckily, the cut-out was smaller on all dimensions, so the installation team re-fabricated it in my driveway. Looked beautiful upon installation. Within a couple of months many of the edges began to discolor much darker (see pics), particularly around the sink. I did see the installers begin to seal the quartzite. I didn't watch them do the entire process, so I"m certain they did not seal the edges adequately. The owner attempted to blame the cleaner I was using. A trivial offer of a paste designed to absorb stains was offered and didn't work. I have no doubt these stains are cause by water absorption, particularly because they were much worse around the sink, where most water is present. Most edges were unaffected. What should have been done is to offer to replace the counter-topic the affected areas. Of course, they didn't, so the pictures you see are what the $7K counter-top looks like today. I recommend you stay far away from this vendor.

Working with Lifetime Cabinets and Countertops will be the company to beat when it comes to poor experience, poor communication, and terrible customer service. I had red flags during the first meeting with David at the Chapin showroom and I should have followed my instinct. We endured two months of scheming and scamming from Lifetime Cabinets and Countertops because they had a location that fit our needs and product that we thought would be great for our budget. We were informed up front that measurements would be taken 2-3 weeks before install and it was not the company's policy to premeasure, even after we requested that they did. We measured ourselves with large margins for error and brought in pictures to these "professionals". We were told that although our total countertop space we wanted redone would technically fit in one slab of the quartz we selected we should order two, "just to be safe." We asked instead to see a remnants lot because we have such a small vanity in our hall bathroom and decided it could be different than the other countertops and we wouldn't have to buy two slabs "just to be safe" in the event these "professionals" made an error. We were begrudgingly shown the remnants lot, I found a beautiful piece, and that was that. Measurements were done about 2 weeks out as agreed upon, but 4 days prior to our install we were told "this wasn't going to work" and we would have to pay "some" more. We were not given numbers, confirmation, or real communication in regard to the install, even when we called 3 days prior for information. We used vacation time from our essential jobs to stay home because we "needed to be around all day" yet the installation did not occur until 3pm because the information we were given when I had to call Lifetime Cabinets and Countertops twice the day of us being scheduled was "installations don't happen until the afternoon." We were then presented with an invoice that "must be paid upon installation" that was TWENTY FIVE PERCENT higher than what the original contract stated and the changes were made after we had already signed. There was zero email communication regarding the changes, which is what our contract states there needs to be for changes to be valid. We sent the crew home, spoke with David the following day, and was told "the best that could be done" was $250 off. The most interesting piece now is that what Lifetime Cabinets and Countertops tried to charge us was almost the same as the price of 2 slabs of quartz, which is what they originally tried to make us purchase before we asked to see the remnants lot. After speaking with the owner we made a little more headway, but there is still VERY muddy water. I would rate Lifetime Cabinets and Countertops less than 0/10 to work with and will never recommend them to anyone I know. Lifetime Cabinets and Countertops does not care about customer service or satisfaction, they care about dollars in their pocket.

According to their name, they offer cabinets. This business is listed as having Choice brand cabinets. First call by husband, the woman tersely says, "We don't do cabinets anymore." I call a week or so later to find out if they can help us get hinges for the cabinets they allegedly (per internet) used to sell. I am told that, despite having the word "cabinet" in the name of the business, they have NEVER sold cabinets. So, my take-away is they falsely advertise carrying cabinets and lie. Not a great endorsement.

Terrible customer service and follow up after the sale. The original slab I selected was sold to someone else. Had to wait several months for another similar slab. The installation process resulted in etched rings on the granite. They have not made any effort to resolve this.

We had a negative experience with this company. The Irmo showroom employee, Ryan, is helpful and polite until he makes the sale, then comes the rude, couldn't-care-less attitude. Long story short, LC&C never called to schedule the measurement appointment; we had to initiate this one week prior to installation. Marcus came and measured everything and took lots of notes. He told us installation would take most of the day and would start at 9 a.m. The actual morning of installation, Marcus called no less than half a dozen times asking us to take measurement after measurement. They hadn't even started cutting the granite prior to that day. The installation crew arrived at 4:30 pm and finished six hours later - LATE. They did an okay job, but had to come back in twice to buff out several scratches they hadn't touched up. We would definitely not recommend Lifetime Cabinets.

Although my counter tops are lovely, my horrible experience far outweighs my happiness with my new counter tops. Our granite counter tops were installed on January 10, 2017. The next afternoon when I came home from work (January 11), I noticed large amounts of water under the sink. I noticed that the water was also under the dishwasher, the hardwoods were warping and the water was into the sub floor. Apparently, the water had not been shut off completely when the company's workmen removed our sink and plumbing fixtures yesterday morning. There is a dismal mess in my kitchen. When I called Marcus Greenwell, the owner of Lifetime Cabinets & Countertops, he promptly began to cite Rule 1 under Demolition and Job Site Preparation of our contract that states, "LC is not licensed or insured for plumbing, or electrical work. Counter tops, appliances and sinks are to be removed before installation". My husband and I were comfortable with Mr. Greenwell's workers removing the fixtures, and we assumed they would completely shut off the water under the sink. Be careful what you assume if you choose to use his services. During our extremely heated conversation, Mr. Greenwell repeatedly stated that "rule 1 is very clearly spelled out", "you signed the contract", "none of this is my problem" and "you should go and get a plumber". It became abundantly clear that Mr. Greenwell was not going to take any responsibility for his worker's error. Not only did I desperately need a plumber, now I have a mitigation and restoration service. The only saving grace that afternoon was my plumber who was already scheduled to reinstall my plumbing fixtures. Tim Cook, owner of American Plumbing Service, helped me shop vac the water out from under the sink and dishwasher, he helped vacuum up as much water as he could from the sub-floor and hardwoods, and he reinstalled my plumbing fixtures. A simple, one hour appointment turned into three long hours of very messy work for him. I am so very thankful he was here. While I love my granite, I can't recommend Lifetime Cabinets and Countertops to anyone--ever. Be warned--should customers incur any problems, Mr. Greenwell may become belligerent, shout at the customer, disavow any responsibility for the problem, inform them that "you signed the contract" and "it is not his problem". Stay away from this company.
